The price-quality ratio what we paid is not good. The quality of the food is poor, and many items are missing labels indicating what they are. In the buffet tables, food sits out for long periods without cold plates for items that should be kept chilled. The warm food that is cooked is tasteless. The Fusion restaurant is a complete failure—you expect something better where you can enjoy good food and service, but you get the exact opposite. Received sorbet in a broken glass. On New Year’s, there was no non-alcoholic sparkling wine available. Nowadays there are options for non alcoholic wine and sparkling wine available. The hotel service is okay but not exceptional. Reception, housekeeping and some of restaurant staff were nice and service minded. I cannot recommend the all-inclusive option at this hotel, nor the hotel itself due to its location. The room is spacious, but the renovation quality is quite poor. There were no possibly to connect your phone with TV, I think Chromecast is nowadays thing at the hotels.

The stay was very nice and comfy. We really enjoyed the location of the hotel next to the sea. Everything was cleaned and tidy! Thanks to the cleaning staff on the third floor. They took uncomplicatedly care of special wishes like new bedsheets, or an extra pillow immediately. The food itself was OK but sometimes the repetition was too high. Unluckily the service in the restaurant was also just ok and was discussing with us since we got us a single glass of water because we were half pension. Except of this I want to point out that we really enjoyed the live music and shows in the evening in the bar and we also want to give a big shoutout to Christian from the Animateurs team. He was really kind and had a lot of positive energy to get the people for the activities (Aqua gym, darts, bingo ..) which created a lot of funny moments and a lot of good memories!

In general: good location, many places for free parking next to hotel, really nice and good food in restaurant. Room service is very professionally cleaning the rooms. Negative: on breakfast I asked employee Sara to do the fresh scrambled egg for me. There was noone at restaurant as it was very early, just after opening. She said she will not make as there is instant scrambled egg done on side. I asked her then to do fried egg for me and afterwards to just a bit press it. She made it so rude, she pressed once on my egg and said very rudely “ENOUGH??” I said do more times please. She answered no and asked for my plate. She broke my day already at very early morning. Really poor customer service of staff. This is the big minus of this place. Rooms should get more often checked to keep the standard (broken walls, broken floor, scratched walls). I am not extremely disappointed about my stay with them, but for sure for service provided i can not call it a “4 star hotel”.

Great experience. I was a solo traveler and booked the hotel direct on the Princess website. Lovely welcome and great service all the way through. Food was delicious and plentiful. Each food and drink location meant that you didn't have to go too far. Although parking is limited, and I had hired a car, it didn't cause any issues and was good exercise to climb the hill to the hotel. I'd return without hesitation.

Fantastic experience, great hotel. Great location. The beach bar facility is a great asset to the hotel ,normally all inclusive finishes once you leave the hotel reception but not here. 12 of us stayed at the hotel, and we all had the same opinion. We all sat together at breakfast and dinner as we were accomadated by welcoming staff, the buffet restaurant food was superb. The basic all inclusive drinks are to a good standard. The only shame was that the mountain road from Taurito to Mogan was shut due to a rock fall, but the buses are a very good affordable option.

Nice hotel, a lot of stairs to get to higher rooms but the view is just amazing. Service was brilliant, nice an helpful staff all over the hotel. Good location if you rented a car. Don't know with the public service. The beach was 5 mins away. Food was good, the variety is wide enough and everybody will find what they like🙂

Had a great week as a couple. Very clean and very comfortable, stylish hotel. Great apartment and the staff were very friendly and polite. The restaurant serving Breakfast, lunch and dinner buffet style was fantastic throughout a week stay with many variety of dishes from different cultures. Unfortunately our room had no Air conditioning unit & two single mattresses for the first night but after a complaint at reception it was swiftly fixed. One let down was the shower door unfortunately didn’t close so after every shower the floor was slippery. All three pools were lovely and all heated up by the sun. Towels changed each day and one big grey towel came in handy using the sun loungers. Having the all inclusive golden wrist band allowed us free drinks and food at the beach, pool and snack bars. The hotel is on a cliff face and every room faces the sea. All in all a great holiday destination.

Stayed at Mogán Princess for my birthday and it was amazing. My favourite thing was that the hotel had 3 different bars. The all-inclusive food was very nice and I really enjoyed the snack bar. The hotel provides a free shuttle service to the Beach. The staff were very helpful especially when I had lost my phone. Great views from the balcony in the hotel room. Will definitely be returning here. Made my Gran Canaria experience even better.

An Unforgettable Stay at Hotel Villas & Suites by Dunas Our stay at Hotel Villas & Suites by Dunas was absolutely amazing, thanks in large part to the incredible animation team. The hotel itself was modern, clean, and offered everything we could wish for – from spacious rooms with stunning views to a delicious variety of food at the restaurant. The staff across the board were friendly and helpful. What truly made this trip special, however, was the animation team. Their energy, creativity, and passion brought the entire place to life. From engaging poolside games and fitness sessions to the impressive evening shows, they managed to entertain guests of all ages. They had a remarkable way of making everyone feel welcome and involved, without being pushy. Special thanks to the whole team, who went above and beyond to make sure we had an unforgettable time. If you’re looking for a hotel with top-notch entertainment, this is the place to be!

We stayed in late November, our holiday was fantastic, everyone was so helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. I'm gluten free and the team sorted out food for me without any issues, I've never stayed anywhere with so much choice of food and so little fuss made about sorting it out. We participated in lots of the animation teams activities, we tried things we had never done before, the team were so friendly and encouraging, even if you weren't very good! They made our holiday even better. The evening entertainment was very good and varied. We have already booked to return later in the year.

The food was really nice. The chefs cooked me gluten free food fresh everyday to ensure there was no cross contamination. The animation team are amazing. They are super friendly and fun to be around. Alyson and rey were amazing.

Rooms are excellent, the food is good with a lot of different options every night. The facilities are clean and well maintained. Housekeeping are very friendly and thorough. Reception staff are always friendly and happy to help. The beach is just a short free bus ride away which was really convenient. Some of the staff in the pool bar and main restaurant let the place down, particularly the pool bar. They enforce a limit of 2 drinks per person, which doesn't really work when you're a group of 7 including children. When another person from our group went to get some of the remaining drinks they treated them with disdain as well. This rule was enforced even during quiet periods when we were the only people sat in the bar area. The rule didn't exist 2 years ago when some of our group visited. We had a young baby in our group and one night asked if we could sit in a quieter area of the restaurant. This was to allow the baby to keep sleeping, a member of staff in the restaurant said "I don't care if the baby is sleeping you can't sit there" and proceeded to just say "Not my problem" loudly and repeatedly. The area we asked to sit in wasn't reserved or part of the adult only area and other groups were using tables in that area at the time.

We visited this summer with our two boys (5 and 9). Everyone had a fantastic time and would love to return. The food was good quality and a great selection. All the staff were really friendly and helpful. The kids especially loved the Animation team and our youngest took a special liking to Bea. Thank you so much to Bea for your time and effort to ensure every interaction was a great experience for them!

The hotel is really nice. Rooms and general hotel area kept to a high degree of cleanliness. Staff helpful and friendly. Only 2 things let it down. We stayed on a B&B basis so only had breakfast but found this could have been better. Some of the food in the hot buffet was cold/warm. The food containers were not replenished in a timely fashion. The other issue was the free bus into town. Considering the size of the hotel, there should have been multiple buses paid on and more frequent as we never got to use it due to sheer demand. Based on the cleanliness of the hotel and the staff helpfulness and friendliness I would still recommend

I’ve given 3 stars due the food. It was awful. Nothing went with anything. The worst food I’ve ever had in a hotel. The chips and pizza were the only decent food. We were all inclusive but ended up going out most evenings to the restaurants down the hill. The location is good and lovely views. Though Some less mobile people might struggle walking up the hill to hotel. The rooms were spacious and the beds very comfortable. Had great sleep every night. Rooms could have been cleaner. The floor was filthy and wasn’t mopped once during our week long stay. This could be a great hotel if it wasn’t let down by the food.

The hotel grounds are truly beautiful, with plenty of comfortable lounging options for relaxation. The service is excellent, and the staff is very friendly, speaking several languages – it makes you feel welcome right away. There are many activities available, like a great pool and evening program, bike rentals, and a spa, which makes the stay varied and family-friendly. The food is fine, served as a buffet – everything is good, but nothing exceptional. However, the vegan options could be more extensive, or a dedicated veggie section would be appreciated. The rooms are mostly clean, but if you look closely, you might find something to nitpick. A major downside is that the safe costs extra – this should be included in a hotel of this category. If you’re a fan of good coffee or espresso, it’s better to avoid it in-house. Overall, we had a lovely time and would happily come back.

Generally speaking, a nice stay in a nice hotel. The staff are mostly very nice. One member was staggeringly rude and ignorant. We only ever saw and interacted with her once. The food was great and I'm a fussy sod. The only thing I would have liked to seen during meal times was more of a selection of desserts that weren't cold, I have sensitive teeth and can't do cold stuff etc. Rooms were actually quite nice, very quiet and had nice bathrooms. The in room AC was a bit lack luster and constantly put out dust around the room. The lifts felt like a death trap, always rattling, knocking and one of them jumped around quite a lot, we did complain (like others) but nothing happened the whole time we were there. The roof top bar was very nice and peaceful, with a small pool, a bar area, restaurant and large seating and relaxation area. The location was quite good for views and lots of peace and quiet but it was a bit of a trek on pavements that were dodgy to say the least and weirdly had lamp posts stuck right in the middle of them. But... Overall, it was OK.

This hotel is very good, staff are brilliant and the location of the rooms looking towards the sea and the entertainment is incredible. I think this is a perfect hotel for a family and couples. The location is a bit out of the way, not too bad if you’re looking for a quieter holiday. There is a local shopping centre with a few restaurants and the beach isn’t too much of a walk. The lovely reception will happily order a taxi that will arrive in about a few minutes we have never waited more than five minutes. Would definitely recommend. You probably need to buy a lot of taxis depending on what type of holiday you’re looking for. The food is okay, we were only on the breakfast board, the only thing I would improve on in the area is adding hash browns. Would definitely recommend for the price. Also entertainment at night is fabulous, always have great singers on til late. The hotel itself is gorgeous and always very well cleaned, will make sure we share this with our friends and family.

Hotel Barceló Margaritas is a nice and clean hotel, offering a generally good experience. The rooms are decent but show signs of wear and tear. The beds are very comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. However, it’s worth noting that the rooms are quite noisy, and sound travels easily between them. The service is mostly friendly, and I’d like to extend a special thanks to the staff in the downstairs bar, especially Juan Ramon, and to those who worked hard clearing tables in the restaurant. Their efforts were much appreciated. The young lady in Ambra pool bar on the other hand was not up to standard. She actively ignored people in the bar by doing other things and often disappeared into the back room. I often saw people give up and go down to the other bar. The breakfast was excellent with a wide variety, though the other meals felt somewhat repetitive. The Christmas buffet was nice and lavish, but unfortunately missing on preparation and quality. Got a raw lobster, and some of the shrimps were mushy so had to throw them away. Overall, Hotel Barceló Margaritas is a good choice for a relaxing holiday, but improvements in soundproofing and meal variety would make the experience even better.

Great hospitality to the team at Barcelo Margaritas. Very accommodating when we requested for high floor sea facing room. We opt for all inclusive, food were great with western options, would be good to add on Asian options as well. The stay were memorable as we went on this resting holiday, spent most of the time in the hotel and using the facility.

Great Hotel, very friendly staff (especially Mari Carmen from houskeeping, such a lovely lady who kept my place super Clean), spacious and comfortable rooms, super comfortable beds, great view from the room and sun all day long. I will come back for sure. Las but not least, I can strongly recommend the massage with Habib. He is an extremely professional and experienced massage therapist with a great technique to relieve pain!

We stayed at the Margaritas for a couples holiday, overall the rooms and hotel in general was furnished to a good standard although some of the communal halls needed a bit of a renovation to bring the standard up to the rest of the hotel. We went for the all inclusive package, the onsite restaurant had a wide variety of food available with a different menu each day, and there was always plenty available - the only downside is that not all of the dishes and sauces have labels to tell you what it is. Where I feel the hotel let it's self down honestly was the staff, reception were really rude and blunt; for example I proposed to my partner during the holiday, our friends decided to try and suprise us by ordering a bottle of champagne to our room for when we returned, reception bluntly told them "no", so instead they went to a local shop and bought a bottle themselves and asked if a member of staff could put it in our room for them with some glasses, they again were told "no", so again they went to a local store and bought to wine glasses for us and presented us with the bottle and glasses when we returned to the hotel. I'd like to say it was a one off, but the level of rudeness by reception and -some- bar staff really took the shine off the hotel for us.

We've (couple) had a great experience at Barcelo Margaritas. Hotel - big rooms, nice view over the pools, big balcony. Some people would say that the location is not ideal; there is a 20 min walk to the beach, which we enjoyed every day after breakfast and lunch. The hotel offers a bus ride, but the 20 min walk to the beach is perfect after having food, and the way to the beach is beautiful enough to be enjoyed every day. Food - the food can get boring, but it is of good quality. There is definitely something for everyone. There was chicken, pork, and a variety of different seafood everyday. There is pizza, and lots of side dishes to choose from. Lots of dessert options too and fresh delicious fruits. The hotel staff is helpful. There is a gym; it's not the best equipped gym, but it is enough for a couple of workouts during your vacation - you can definitely get your workout program done if you get creative. Entertainment - lots of activities around the pool during the day - we went for a really fun yoga on water the 2nd day of the vacation which was extremely challenging and funny. There are different types of shows during the evening which are running till ~11pm. Nothing to complain about this hotel

Stayed here with my boyfriend for a week from 29th may 2024, on arrival had been around 20.30hrs, checked in quickly and no hassles at all, every quickly and was delighted with to staff at checkin. Self catering room was spotless and had everything you need from TV on wall, large fridge and freezer. All utilities microwave pots plates filter coffee machine kettle cups the lot. Had its own separate bed room and 2nd flood balcony all again had been well cleaned well presented. We had use of Gym / sauna a spa for our trip which was a surprising 1 hour per day. I stayed close to this hotel 5 years ago, were I was disappointed, so to have a great hotel, brilliant staff and the cleaners was fantastic. 100% would rebook to the hotel.

Lovely apartment. Sunbeds by the pool and on the roof. Not far from the beach. No snacks or bar at the property. Breakfast is available for 9€ a day. Normal buffet style. Yumbo shopping centre 10-15 minutes away on foot. Lots of bars, restaurants and shops to browse through.

Nice spacious apartment had everything you would need apart from air con, great WiFi (was getting upwards of 60mbps)even in the room. Very clean overall, although the cleaners maybe should sweep and mop the balcony now and then,it wasn't swept once while we were there (10 days) Pleasant staff. Would stay again without hesitation.

My husband booked this for my 50th birthday. I was joined by my brother in law (who shares the same b-day), his wife and my sister who surprised us, visiting from Essex UK. I would like to say a massive thank you to Yudith. I asked for an iron, ice tray, amongst other things. We had issues with our shower and the treadmill in the gym. Yudith was relentless in getting all our requests sorted and the response time was amazing!! You can not fault the work ethics of staff in this hotel. Thank you to Yudith, Pavlo and all the reception staff. Thank you to the cleaning staff for being so lovely, in their bright white uniforms. Always helping us with whatever we needed, service with a smile! Always trying to speak to us in English (so sorry, our Spanish is terrible, in fact non existent!!) Last but not least thank you to the maintenance team! This hotel is very central, close to the beach, shops, bars/cafés and restaurants. Yet it's quiet, with space around the pool, in the spa and gym which you can just let yourself into using your room card. Great Wi-fi, we didn't mind that there was no air con, we were happy with the fan provided! Our room/kitchen was spacious with the sea view and well equipped. Anything we didn't have we just asked for! A great holiday, which ends tomorrow after eleven nights. We are definitely coming back! 👏🏾🙌🏾🫶🏾👏🏾🥳😊 Mo Rugundu

Very nice hotel. Great location, very clean, nice pool area. Great pool bar and restaurant all-day and night. Cheryl, Harrison and the pool bar team are great always a good laugh and very welcoming! Only gave 4 stars as the shower was not that powerful and lost temperature very quickly. Would recommend and will definitely be back

Hotel was really nice, fantastic views of the marina. Staff were lovely and accommodating. Rooms were well equipped and kept spotless with the cleaners. What made it for us was how genuine and lovely Cheryl, Jen and their staff was at the pool bar/restaurant. They were the nicest staff and couldn’t fault them. Very friendly and welcoming. From when you arrive and have a warm wonderful greeting from Alvora, to the laughter and banter with the gang in the bar, it's just superb. Fantastic place to stay. The apartment itself was clean, modern and spacious. We loved having our own balcony with sun loungers. The pool was brilliant as well. No fighting for sun beds, the odd time you might not get one but oh well. Off out we go! Bar staff were outstanding, really welcoming and easy going. They were so helpful and filled the place with good vibes. Great entertainment evenings too.

I had a fantastic time staying at the Holiday Club Puerto Calma Gran Canaries.Its was situated looking out onto the marine in Puerto Rico. Hotel built into a volcano rock. Side by side living with lizards 🦎 which are protected . The restaurant had reasonably priced food and also had gluten-free bread for anyone that's on that diet. Staff were lovely at the hotel and the restaurant was very accommodating regarding food. Management and reception were fantastic and very helpful. Lots of activities to do in the Gran Canaries for everyone. Buses are cheap to go around the island. I would definitely recommend the resort and I will be going back to this resort. The only issue I had was that I needed more information on the arrival example about sunbed loungers and how to operate electrical items in the room.

I love this place so much!!! My family and I have been coming here for 20+ years now and every time it is always a pleasure to stay at BlueBay. The staff are ALWAYS polite, pleasant and accommodating. The maids are lovely and so friendly. They are forever willing to go the extra mile, I love coming back to the room and it being all fresh and clean. The views are phenomenal. Some of the best sunsets I have seen in my life. Every room in this hotel has a sea view. The grounds are kept and maintained to a high standard and the ground staff are very friendly. The Bar serves amazing cocktails and the staff are welcoming, Especially Angel and Zuso, who have been there since I was a baby. This place really has such a sentimental value to me and my family. Please don’t ever change. So many memories have been made here and we always look forward to booking for the next year as soon as we get back. Thank you for everything each and every year! Hannah

Outside of the ”Hotel” looks amazing with a view to the ocean. When stepping into the room, you will be presented with a bunch of roaches, mould and moisture damage. Furniture from the 80’s. Sofa is dirty and full on cochroach poop. Room hasn’t probably seen a vacuum cleaner in ages. Not a 4 star hotel. Not even one. Had to change to another hotel on NEW YEARS EVE. A big thanks for the experience though, very stressful one.

We stayed for a week and all the staff were absolutely amazing. Every staff member greeted us with smiles. The location was beautiful,our room was cleaned and refreshed every day. Thank you for an amazing stay. Stand out members were Marco and Maria from reception, but the the staff in the restaurant,accommodation and the little supermarket downstairs were all equally amazing.

Lovely big rooms, we stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment. The food was good most days with a good variety. Entertainment was not brilliant, but only one person doing it and he did his best. It's a 10 minute walk down to the shops and there aren't many. There are 3 restaurants on the square all very good

To call this hotel a 4 star, is generous. I’m truly disappointed in my/my family’s experience. 2 days before we arrived, we requested to be picked up at the airport by the hotel shuttle services. Upon arrival we had no transportation, they had never confirmed nor replied to our request. We got to the hotel, paid and checked in, the rooms were far from modern, terribly outdated, it smelled moldy (the air vents were covered in it) and I’m asthmatic. The bathroom was not properly cleaned (found the last tenants hair on the shower walls) and Limescale covered the faucets. The AC barely worked, the living room sofa was filthy and there were tears and rips in almost all the fabrics. To a point that we had to request a different room all together. The doors creaked like an old school horror movie. We were limited to one TV channel because everything else was in either Spanish, German or Arabic… Every morning military helicopters did their rounds, shaking up the place with its noise pollution. It seems very much like they are understaffed. Honestly I wish I had more better things to say, the staff were pleasant and patient, love that, and again the views were amazing, but unfortunately I found it difficult to relax and enjoy the stay. Not too fluffy or too thin, just right. A bit far from the conference center but right beside the Triana area for, great places to eat and drink. An excellent stay.

Shabby run down. Poor AC couldn’t keep room cool in afternoon sun on building. Cold cut breakfast buffet. Tiny glasses no ice. What one comes to expect from a budget business oriented hotel. Amenities are minimal and the ones they do have are poor. I’m sure this caters to the port personnel but def below standard for a holiday stay. Kids furniture in room and the smallest mini fridge I’ve ever seen in a hotel. I’ll never stay here again.

If any hotel deserves zero stars, it’s this one. From check-in onward, this has been the most unpleasant stay I can recall. The staff show zero regard for customer service. Checking in took an unbelievable 40 minutes, and the rooms are so filthy it’s beyond imagination. The bar experience was equally appalling. When I approached the staff, they initially claimed the bar was closed. After questioning how a so-called “4-star” establishment could offer such poor service and requesting a beer, I was made to wait 10 minutes, only for them to confirm, “No, we are closed.” This place is a disgrace to the Marriott name. In Warsaw, they removed the Marriott branding from a hotel because it no longer met the standard—this one should follow suit. How this disaster of a hotel can call itself “by Marriott” is beyond comprehension. Do yourself a favor: run far, far away when you see this hotel listed online. It’s nothing short of a nightmare.

Such a dissapointment. Room stinks. Common areas stink. You hear neighbours far too well. Every cleaning resulted with more & more hair found on the floor. Breakfast is scarce and of low quality ingredients. Equipment in the gym is sticky from dirt. It easily takes 5-7min to finally catch an elevator. There are 3. The way 2 work is hard to understand. Third one wasn't working at all, the paper announcing malfunction seem to be months-old and its condition is a best representation of AC Iberia hotel. Overall, a disgrace to Marriott brand and to starring system. Avoid.

Rooms are not as someone would expect from Marriot hotel, its like another average hotel. Breakfast doesnt have many options still costs 20euros/person. Wifi connection was very poor in our room. Also dinner has less options with no vegetarian food.Flooring of the rooms has mold as shown in photos .

Overall giving a high rating. Super good and smiling staff. Special mention to ladies from the pool bar and Michelle from reception desk. They were really lovely. While the hotel provides all amenities I would recommend a few changes/touches to enhance it. I.e. more plants around the pool and on the balconies. It feels a bit empty and boring. A bit of play with wood, colors, plants, some art on the walls and it could get really great look and vibe of a cosy boutique hotel.

Great place , really loved it ! The apartment was so well laid out, huge and with everything! A lovely terrace to enjoy the sun . The bed was so comfortable. Great bathroom, lots of towels ! Excellent hotel, very friendly staff, plenty of free parking spaces ( if not at the hotel then on the street), pool towels and overall very well cleaned. Handy exit at the back of the hotel with the shortcut to the beach - also many people saying it's too far from the beach but it is a 7min walk down and around 15min back up ( yes it's a stiff climb that might not be suitable for all)

Useful location, a walk from the beach, and a walk from the local supermarket. We had a jacuzzi on our patio and air conditioning in the rooms. We enjoyed the pool each day. Parking at the top was cramped, with spaces too small for the parking skills of the drivers. There was a water leak during our stay from a communal hall ceiling and the staff were quickly on the case. Housekeeping was very kind to us.

Unexpected ,because always the advertising is different than reality so clean rooms ,staff very friendly, quaiet over night. Tight parking place, but not bad. Outside swimming pool:clean water and warm over night. Suitable for families with kids, Bit far from the beach(Amadores beach)but there is bus ,free of charge .I recommend rent a car not expensive for week(around 150£).From my point of view good experience for a quiet holiday. Fair location up a bit of a hill but not too bad and close to the centre. Rooms are nice and clean there is no air con in the bedroom tho and if you’re down the bottom end the view is crap and it’s a long walk. The further away from the lift you are the worse the view. We had a view nothing like the pictures. So bit disappointing. Pool area nice enough and never struggled to get a sunbed. We were on floor 2 and the noise of the road was noisy at night. I would recommend the hotel but be careful where you are situated.

If you are looking for a breakfast that makes you smile, you have to come and try mine at the Revoli Hotel. My cinnamon and anise pancakes are light as a cloud and the bacon is so crispy that it melts in your mouth. And if you prefer something more classic, my thin fried eggs are perfect. I assure you that you will not regret it!" The cook with the colorful hat was very nice, I made my morning and he helped me with everything!!

Short Spanish man on reception rude and disrespectful in his manner. Allocated a dirty used room originally in error he didn't apologise Cleaners need to knock before entering your room. TV didn't really work remote not at all 2 other men on reception were very polite and gave us a late check out for free a nice touch. Nice hotel location pool etc but few small things to sharpen up mainly rude reception guy.

Staff here are very good our room overlooking the bay & the room shower etc is very clean & modern. We are in 405 bit of a trek from check in but it's worth it. Not a luxury hotel. Bathroom falling apart, shower temperature can't be controlled. Swimming pool was "closed for maintenance" entire stay, no information on when it was open, and never saw anyone doing works. Requested a double bed multiple months in advance but they gave us two singles pushed together, which was very uncomfortable. For the cost, you can get a much nicer hotel. The staff in the bar and restaurant are lovely.

The pictures online give you a feeling of very luxurious hotel....it is not....it's located in front of one the main roads of the city.....they have a lounge pool....we were there on a Monday and it was closed due to maintenance. Roof top bar and restaurant: Good. There were 2 guys working okay....food? Average. Gym: Again I thought it would be bigger. Happy I booked one night only.

Spent a week here on a solo trip around the island. Perfect location in terms of amenities/ bus station etc, however the hotel is above a restaurant and next door to a bar so noisy on weekends and most of the day and evenings especially if you're on lower floors like I was. Room are spacious and decor is great with nice lighting, great shower and free mini bar svd water replenished daily which was a great bonus.

The room was very clean and the location was very good. However, the toilet in the room is not separated properly, so it brought us inconveniences. During our stay the water was also off temporarily and it took longer than promised to fix it. The design is quite inconvenient in some parts, there are no drawers, no shelf in the bathroom for storing cosmetics. If the price was half of what we payed I would be satisfied. Otherwise, it does not correspond to proper standards of a 4-star hotel.

Staff at check in excellent Room too. Position of Hotel definitely not good. Entrance is from a dull dismal quite dirty street. My room overlooked the square and park NOISY LOUD and off putting. All.other hotels have their roof terraces open this hotel does not due to Covid-19! No breakfast room. Eat in room so I went to another hotel and paid to eat at their breakfast buffet. I most definitely will not book here again due to the lack of facilities and its situation. My room was very good however I did not like having the wc and shower in the room without a door. Not good if 2 were sharing

Avoid this hotel. The hotel is closed at night, you can’t check in until 9:00 AM; I arrived from the airport at 5:00 AM and entrance door was locked and no one answered the intercom or their phones. The entrance is in a single lane side street and you don’t see a lobby or anytime to signal. I would not recommend this hotel AT ALL.

I was in 5th floor and there is no direct sunlight into the room (a + in my book). The staff were very nice and friendly.

We are just back from a week here. Excellent location. Beach so close, as well as restaurants etc. Very comfortable beds. Room was a bit tight with the extra bed for our son. Nice bathroom. Water wasn't draining in shower very well but they sent maintenance up next morning & it improved. Wardrobe sliding doors very hard to open. Rooms tidied daily which was great. Breakfast not bad, lots of options. Pool on roof is great. Planning to return next year!

Food is good lots to choose from. The room is quiet if you keep your balcony door shut theses music at night. Very clean rooms the fridge is one of the first that I've had that works properly. It's the first time I've never worn my ear plugs at a hotel. The location is right next to the jumbo centre with lots of food and shops there. It's located on a slight hill, so be careful if you're not good on your feet but still accessible. The hotel has lots of steps inside something to consider when choosing this hotel the staff are very nice and helpful

The hotel is clean, comfortable and in a great location, the food is good, always fresh and plenty to choose from, but best of all, the staff are brilliant! We saw a lot of the same staff from last year; they are friendly, fun and welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. You couldn’t ask for more.

Like many guests - We love to return again & again. We always ask for a pool view with a bath - the rooms are perfect & have everything we need including fridge, kettle & daily turndown - we love to sit on the balcony & there’s reclining chairs to relax on. As Brits - We take our own Yorkshire teabags, coffee & powdered milk in for drinks in the room & our Amazon stick too :) The team are all fantastic & the service spot on. We go half board & if we aren’t having lunch out, the poolside bar is a great spot to eat with a well stocked salad bar included! The poolside has areas for everyone & is surprisingly tranquil with some shaded spaces with lots of tropical greenery - you totally forget you are smack next door to the yumbo right in the centre of the action. We enjoy lots of different walking routes from Neptuno & usually return by bus or taxi. Can’t wait to return soon!

This was our third stay at this hotel and things have improved a lot since last here in 2012 A glass of Prosecco whilst checking in on arrival, concierge helps you with your luggage and takes you to your room. Bottle of wine, flowers and water all complementary in the room on arrival. Clean room and nice size bathroom with a powerful shower although I’d like to see the hot water when showering to be sorted out as I burnt myself every time I showered with the water going from nice temperature to ice cold and then to scolding hot is not very pleasant so an upgrade on the water system would be a welcome relief. The restaurant is great, the food is amazing with fresh fish and meats cooked on demand for you so you know it’s fresh, buffet style cooked meats and cheeses and various starters all delicious and is highly recommended. Breakfast is buffet style but as with dinner they cook you bacon and eggs to order and it’s lovely, freshly squeezed orange juice is available and if you’re wanting the hair of the dog after a night out Vodka is also available in an ice bucket by the juice. No complaints over sun loungers as there’s always some available and sangria is complimentary once or twice a day to cool you down along with a great pool and water slide if you fancy a fast cool down! Yumbo centre is available through the back of the hotel and is so convenient. Above all we had a fabulous holiday here at the Neptuno Hotel and cannot wait to again soon. Highly recommended.

We just wanted to share our experience at this lovely place where we stayed for our mini moon after our wedding. The staff here is exceptionally friendly and welcoming, making us feel comfortable throughout our stay. For the first time, we decided to go all inclusive, and it was a delightful experience. They offer a wide variety of options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with a daily specialty dish. Each evening brings something fun to anticipate, along with unlimited drinks. While we personally prefer exploring local restaurants and bars, we found the all-inclusive option great value for money. We do look forward to returning soon to continue exploring the island. Felix comes also with the best of the package, I miss him lots, the whole team is amazing with this little boy. Thank you for looking after him 🥰 Many thanks for your warmth and hospitality.

The rooms are a little tired, but in general , all was good. We had a wonderful time and couldn't fault the reception, restaurant or bar staff. They were all friendly and keen to help . I'd definitely recommend it. If I was to be highly critical, the mini bar was annoying. It used up fridge room we wanted and included coffee, tea bags, sugar and water. Rather it wasnt there. Things you'd often get as complimentary. Enjoyed the evening entertainment and the breakfast was good . We didn't have our main meals there , simply because we prefer to visit different restaurants. We would definitely return if the price was right

The rooms are modern & have all the required items, the food is buffet style with great choices every day. The location is well served with local buses which we used all the time to get around, plus they have a free shuttle bus to the beach. Such a great holiday, thanks so much to the staff! One can immediately feel that the place simply has a good vibe, and that its employees come to work with a smile and enjoy their shifts. When we arrived no electrical appliances worked in the room but was repaired withing a day.The place is a building site with the swimming pool closed off. We are allowed to use the swimming pool across the road but nobody is allowed to use the umbrellas because there is a LITTLE wind. The pool guy who works there has serious anger issues and is very rude. The food is not the best and is barely warm, we ended up eating out most nights.

One of the best hotels in Maspalomas. With one caveat. It's a bit pricey for b&b . I paid £200 a night. Designed in an art deco theme with lots of soft edges and curves it is really pretty. Breakfast is substantial and varied. Rooms have a small kitchenette . The place is constantly maintained to a very high standard , a small problem with our shower was resolved immediately. The Staff are very friendly . There is a poolside snacks bar serving reasonable price food. The check Reception is 24 hours. The Reception staff are great, helpful and friendly. Highly recommended.

Stayed at this hotel three times now, When I was young I never dreamed that I would go back to the same hotel three time... The rooms are very comfortable, I have always paid to stay in the higher levels, with the upper level you get a slight sea view. The location is very good. The breakfast is very good, always well topped up, although coffee could be a bit better, machine may need it's settings looking at! Rooms have a great shower, very clean, comfy bed. Big telly.. A great hotel.

The breakfast choices and quality were above average. The location was removed enough from "the fray" while still being close enough to walk to restaurants, clubs and bars. Staff were very friendly.

Gold By Marina isn’t a large resort or hotel, and it doesn’t aim to be. It’s a cozy place where you quickly feel at home. The employees are incredibly nice and welcoming. Special thanks to Christian and Javier for helping us book an activity we couldn’t book online and going the extra mile when needed. They also had fantastic dinner and food spot recommendations, which we loved since we prefer quality food over touristy places. Speaking of quality food, the breakfast was amazing! Freshly cooked eggs, bacon, pancakes, and waffles made to order, served with a warm smile from the kitchen staff. In the morning, you can even start your day with some bubbles, which is hard to say no to. The pool facilities are great—our only feedback is that they could stay open a bit longer so we could enjoy them more. The cocktails are also excellent. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at Gold By Marina.

It's still walking distance so it's not a problem. Good for families... Taurito is not to big and you have free entrance to the water park, which is very fun.

The room lacked basics, such as mirror over desk area. No sockets there either. No kettle or iron (request for deposit). No tea/coffee in room. We got a kettle, with deposit, but then no cups. So brought some up from restaurant, but was told we couldn't do that, as we need to use paper cups! So, we had to hide cups in room. To stop room service taking them! Room was tired and in need of refresh. Largest towel was not bath size. So that was irritating. We had 3 people in our room, and therefore 3 beds. But we kept having to tell them, to be able get correct number of towels and glasses. There were no extra pillows in room, and they were very flat. So asked for 3 more sets, received 1 more pillow. Chased, but never received the others. Food was not good in our first few days. Over salty, boring choices. Improved a little, later in our 10 day stay. So assumed they had a handover in chefs. Didn't have any cold meats/cheeses, salads etc, as set out open, with lots of flies around. I personally was stuck to find good, healthy options. With salad off my list. Resort is maybe OK for people with small children. But we were a group of 3 adults and with no entertainment or late night choices, it didn't suit us. The Grill Taurito bar on the beach was our only place at night. The hotel 'piano bar', never had the piano uncovered. Lacked any atmosphere, and bar closed early. Even inside the bar at night we had to ask for our drinks in a glass, or you got them in a Pepsi paper cup. Absolutely confused as to how it can have 4 stars.... nowhere near! Wouldn't return.

Had a lovely stay and would recommend. However I would advise renting a car unless you are looking to solely relax by the pool. The hotel is situated in a valley. There is not a whole lot in the valley to do, it's mainly other hotels, and a water park. There is no restraunts or bars in the valley, only those of the hotels. There is a communal entertainment area in the centre which is shared by a few hotels under the paradise brand. Along the coast to the west is Puerto Mogan which is beautiful, lovely beach lots of places to eat and drink. A very nice small town. To the east is Puerto Rico which has a whole lot going on and is great for shopping and nightlife. We used the hotel as our base for breakfast and usually dinner. We went out during the day in our rental car and visited everywhere and anywhere over 10 days. Food was ok. Wouldn't say it was incredible but it was more than enough with decent choices. Not a lot of vegetarian options, but that seems to be a Spanish thing. Everything has meat or fish in it. I would recommend Costa taurito to people but would strongly recommend a hire car. There is a bus service that runs but I like to come and go as I please.

Staff are really nice throughout the hotel. The whole place is pretty dog-eared and the internet/Wi-Fi didn't work at all. Systems are note great across the complex: we were promised access to the aqua park but the aqua park staff disagreed and were pretty rude.

Was staying at the Miraflor with half-board but had to go to Rondo because Miraflor's restaurant was under construction. Check-in was in Rondo as well. The staff is really friendly and helpful. One of the best I've ever seen. Good quality for food and beverages. Had a great time there.

Rooms were good but the pool was a disaster. Especially the lifeguard was a sad man, annoying all the guests. During the day, there is no shadow because the parasols cannot be opened even if there is the lightest wind. He just likes to bully the guests. The breakfast was good.

The hotel was located in a nice area close to the center and the beach. We loved the choice of food in the restaurant, and even though I'm a vegetarian I had plenty of things to chose from. We were welcomed and treated very nicely by the reception staff and the housekeeping ladies. The only thing to mention is that we could not sleep well as the beds were very hard. Also the bathroom needs to be renovated. However, the room was big and clean and we had a great view of the sea.

we had a lovely stay at Bronze Playa. The staff are friendly and willing to help; the pool/outdoor area is lovely and spacious, with plenty of choice at the bar. Both breakfast and dinner were lovely, with plenty of choice and a different menu each evening. The rooms are a little outdated, particularly the bathrooms, and the towels provided are definitely showing their age! That said, the bed sheets were clean and comfy, and the room is lovely and spacious, with a great balcony! Overall, the hotel is great and would stay again!

Location of this hotel is great (very quiet but not too far from beach and bars etc) over the road from a large open space where they hold a weekly market We had a ground floor room with private patio and access straight onto the pool Rooms are really spacious and clean with separate living room which had a small fridge to keep drinks in Plenty of sunbeds so never seen any sunbed wars!! Drinks were of a decent standard most cocktails were included in the all inclusive The only negative for this hotel is the food We both found it really hard to find something breakfast lunch & dinner but overall really nice hotel and would definitely return if I came back to gran canaria

2024 april I spent 1 week here with my toddler. It was a nice hotel, the staff was nice and the food was great. - i stayed in double room with sea view on the 5th floor, however ,be aware that there is another hotel in front also. so my view was mainly the other hotel and sea on the right side far away and the left side a bit. But mainly i saw the other hotel. It didnt bother me much however because i didnt spend my time sitting on the balcony. But the room is facing the street so it was noisy. Im a light sleeper so wasnt ideal, but was managable. - maybe its normal, but you have to pay if you want to change room. It is 20 euro i think however i didnt change. Luggage storage is 5 euro per item. - wifi was good, but had to sign in again and again almost every day - location was good, but since its surrounded with streets, there was noise at night (mostly cars) - beach is like 5mins walk, but you have to go down quite some stairs and then back up, so its not a straight walk to the beach. Its normal in that area - stores close by

All of the staff we met were friendly and helpful. Perhaps a few more staff members would have made for a better dining room and bar service as there just wasn't t enough staff to keep on top of everything. Fruit juice and food platters would empty and weren't replenished. I found the breakfast and lunch buffet to be adequate but ate out each evening as my 15 year old is a vegetarian so the choices available were quite limited. The sun loungers were comfortable and readily available. We weren't offered pool towels and I didn't notice anywhere around the pool for picking any up but as we took our own with us this wasn't a problem. Our room didn't appear to have any accessible electrical sockets, the only place available to plug in a hairdryer or straighteners was in the shaver socket in the bathroom which worked but I don't think that it was designed to accept a converter plug. I would have expected a socket by the mirror in the bedroom but none could be found. The location of the hotel was great for us and we felt safe in the area in the evenings. The hotel supermarket is well stocked and reasonably priced. If you're looking for good value for money rather than luxury this hotel is it.

The suite we booked was one of their Select Suites on the sixth floor and it was really great. The the bed was big and the bedroom roomy. There was plenty of storage for clothes and shelves for bits and pieces. The bathroom was clean and never once smelt of damp, the ventilation in there was great. And again, plenty of shelf space for our things. The lounge and kitchenette area was spacious and served its purpose excellently. The balcony was fantastic, with sturdy seats, a towel railing and dining table and chairs. The view was great and the sunsets each night impressive. Housekeeping were keen and left the suite looking great on the days we had them in. Actually, all the staff we dealt with were fantastic, approachable and very helpful. The infinity pool was really lovely to use, with a great view of the sea with its busy comings and goings of ferries and boats. The two downside of the stay were 1) the amount of poolside loungers being reserved by other guests and their towels. Despite hotel policy against this behaviour, there was no enforcement of it. 2) while we did not have breakfast included, the food we did order was OK. We had lunch on two of the days and we made use of their BBQ evening. But to be honest, from our own experiences, hotel food on the Canary Islands has always been a disappointment.

I just spent an incredible week at Marina Suites, From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by friendly and attentive staff who made sure every detail of our stay was perfect. The rooms are spacious, well-designed, and offer breathtaking views of the ocean. The highlight of the hotel has to be the infinity pool, which provides a stunning view of the Atlantic Sea, especially during sunrise and sunset. It almost feels like you’re swimming straight into the sea. I highly recommend the breakfast at the hotel. There’s a wide selection, but their homemade omelet truly stands out! It’s freshly made to your preference – Definitely a must-try if you’re staying here. The pictures speak for themselves, but they don’t fully capture the relaxing and serene atmosphere of the place. The pool area was always clean. It’s the perfect place to unwind with a drink in the hand and enjoy the sun. The hotel’s location is also ideal – close to great restaurants, shops, and scenic coastal walks. I also recommend "El Puerto" the restaurant at the hotel, it was good, and there was a great atmosphere. Overall, I can highly recommend Marina Suites if you’re looking for a place to relax and enjoy a holiday with high comfort, excellent service, and stunning views. We arrived late due to delays at the airport back home. We had a lovely welcome by the gentleman on the reception I think his name was Jan. He explained everything to us and we felt very satisfied with everything that he had said to us. We headed to our room which we had been upgraded to the ninth floor. When we opened the door we absolutely fell in love with the apartment it had everything we needed, it was spacious, clean and immediately we was very impressed. We had a coffee on the balcony then headed to bed, they must be the most comfortable beds we have slept in. In the morning we couldn't believe the views across the sea and the harbour. We loved listening to the different sounds whilst enjoying our coffees in the morning it was just beautiful. We had breakfast that morning and all of the staff was welcoming and happy there was a very good selection of food to choose from. We went as a family of six all adults, our children used the snack bar many times and was impressed with the quality and portions of the food they received. The swimming pool is perfect the views you get are amazing. I could go on and on about how lovely this hotel is and just to mention the cleaners are lovely too, many thanks for making this one of the best holidays we have had.

I came here for a week to celebrate my wife's 50th birthday and absolutely stunning hotel. From the staff to the rooms I couldn't find fault. I was a little disappointed that I had emailed the hotel to ask for a sea view several weeks prior to us arriving but they had put us on the second floor facing the marina with a palm tree directly in front of the balcony. I did go back to reception and asked if we could be moved but I was told the hotel was full but we could be upgraded at a cost of €20 per day. We did not let this distract us from having a good time and it was a very nice hotel.

Lovely hotel. The main reception area is really quirky with waterfalls and palm trees and a clock that chimes on the hour. The staff are all great, nothing is too much trouble. Room was very nice but a couple of things could do with updating but otherwise very good. Would definitely come again

Beautiful location, fabulous hotel, excellent staff, breakfast menu was delicious, and good quantities of everything even if you were a little late down. Dinner buffet was ok, wasn’t always hot, but lots of selection. My biggest issue was we asked for a low level pool view room with a disabled shower a good month in advance. However we were on the third floor with a low level bath which was no good for my disabled mum, she didn’t have the confidence to get in and shower, she had to spend the week having strip washes which wasn’t ideal. The hotel did however arrange a wheelchair for us for a small charge and refundable deposit from a disability shop over the road. Lovely hall bar, but be aware they only open at 5.30pm, not everyone wants to go to the pool bar for afternoon drinks when the pool area is so busy.

Second time at this beautiful hotel - we LOVE it! The setting in the botanical gardens is amazing. You feel like you've landed in paradise! Everything is spot on: the hotel is gorgeous inside, the food is good and the restaurant area is SO well organised, it runs like clockwork. If there is any slight downside to this place, maybe the rooms are a little tired but, you know what, I'm not complaining. We will be back again.

I went with my family to this hotel and we were fretted with welcome drinks and great service. The ordinary restaurants were great but the buffet wasn’t very good and very over priced. It had amazing activities to do such as the two pools and gym which we used. However it could have advertised more since we found out there was also scuba diving and cycling. The location is great and would also recommend the town as it is Beautiful! The rooms are nice and the sofa can become another bed however the room service came at 8:00 in the morning! However overall the Mogán cordial hotel is extremely pleasant and would defo recommend for children too!

We stayed at Suite Hotel in July ‘23. The hotel check in was fast and the guy was very friendly, he gave us a sandwich, fruit and water for the room as we arrived late at night. The room was spacious lots of wardrobe space and loads of space round beds. The balcony had table and chairs. We had a small fridge and tea/coffee facilities. Beds were really comfy. The food was excellent and we never went hungry. There’s all variety of breakfast choices, fruits, hot breakfast. Lunch is just as good and dinner choice is fantastic. The dessert section was unbeatable with fancy cakes and ice cream 🍨 We were all inclusive and the drinks were local spirits and beers but definitely were fine. U can ask for your favourite brand and pay extra. The rooftop bar was our fave at night with lively music playing and a great atmosphere. The pools are big enough and have plenty of loungers so we had no issues with that. It gets pretty windy at times so u might want towel grips for your sunbed. Definitely plan on going back another time.

It's been a pleasure to stay at HL Suitehotel. Starting with a warm welcome, great service all around, lovely jacuzzi area (also clothing optional) and good food. It also was no problem to stay there after checkout. Spending the time at the pool and taking a shower was no problem after checkout. We are sending this email to say how impressed we were with Lucy (at reception) as well as checking us in nice and speedily, On our last day when Tui let us down with our pick up Lucy rang us a taxi which after an hour failed to turn up as drivers were minimal due to the children’s gift giving day, Lucy went above and beyond to get us to the airport on time, even using her own car, she saved the day, please say a special thank you to her we are forever grateful and will remember her for her generosity help.She a credit to your hotel.

Great place to stay with a family, easy access to two nearest beaches. Staff at the reception was very helpful, the entertainment in the evening was very good every night. It was a very good value for money, big selection of food for breakfast and dinner. Rooms were cleaned everyday. There were two outdoor pools, the water was perfect for a swim in December!! Highly recommended place!! We are going back next year!!

Amazing hotel, views are spectacular. Pool areas are really good. Food was really nice and freshly cooked. Staff were all really friendly and helpful. Entertainment was on until 11.30pm everynight and the table service for drinks here was super efficient. Would definitely recommend and would go back. 2 slight annoyances for us were the room cleaning wasn't in keeping with the rest of the stay and should be better. Also the toilet did not have door and was a little too open for us. All in all though, loved our stay!

I have re-revised this review based on the resolution the hotel has put in place to rectify the issue with first aid kids. All staff have in theory received corrective action to avoid any further complications. My takeaway from this is that the hotel can respond to the needs of a first aid kit should a guest need one in future. Highlights of the hotel: - Scenic views, it has to be one of the best hotels for views especially the top floor infinity pool - Food, this is by far the best hotel I have ever stopped at for all inclusive food. Great selection and felt quite luxury with some of the offerings. - Drinks, the all inclusive was versatile you could find something that you liked for most. I would say there is some confusion with the likes of some spirits not being on the menu in particular pernod. This caused a little confusion with waiters on whether it was in/out of the all inclusive package so maybe a more simplified way of understanding the drinks whether it's premium/non premium or not at all on all inclusive would help customers - Cleanliness, our room was spotless. Patricia really made sure our stay was lovely and was very thorough - thank you Patricia. Waiter/waitresses also work extremely hard cleaning and setting the tables and they really are an asset to your busy hotel. - Friendliness/approachability, lots of friendly staff some of which should be on the stage themselves! Some negatives albeit only minor: - Lifts, can be a little frustrating especially when on floor 6. The option of stairs was out of the question so we were dependable on the lifts. They did become crowded quite a lot and made the wait even longer for the next one. Also, the lifts sometimes missed your floor. Maybe there could be an improvement with the lifts but understand this may be difficult to do so due to the cost. - Iron hire, they sub out to a company the needs and it is dependable on when the company are about or not. I also found this expensive in consideration that the iron was a very inexpensive iron that had brown droplets coming out. - Checking in/out times. This could be quite slow so suggestive of more staff on reception. - Charges, we were charged a couple of times around £30 each time for items that was unexplainable. We were warned about this when checking in that sometimes happen. They got rid of it but be better customer experience if this did not happen. Overall I would strongly recommend a stay here, you won't be disappointed and I think wherever you choose to stop there are pros and cons of everywhere. The ones here are minor but a true example of how we found the hotel.

Allocated room ... unchanged bedding from previous guests, cockroachs everyday, dead insect left in clear view for 4 days, poorly swept or mopped floors, points of contact sticky, coffee table broken. Aside from a very dated spa and the disgusting room everything else was fine. Waiters in dining room were excellent It is now Jan 22nd, at the request of the deputy manager I forwarded my contact details to the hotel,twice, to enable them to resolve the situation "promptly". Never again! Rude staff everywhere. My room was missed to clean twice a week. Even if they did clean, it was left dirty, particularly in the wash room. Toilet was never cleaned and especially wash basin! When I asked to speak to manager, reception staff said we do not have any manager in the evening possibly next day as they are not informed about managers shifts in advance! 🤣 Breakfast was rubbish too, also all the coffee mugs and glasses were dirty everywhere and everyday! Look at the picture of the bottom of the wardrobe nail hanging out!

Been here for a week and this is not a 4 star, the kids club was none existent and was off site. You are in the middle of a valley which is near nothing and the arcade had half of the machines broke. Got very boring and as for the access to the water park which looks great on pictures. Hit its heyday back in 2013, old, dirty, salt water which was freezing for kids.

Good hotel in general, specially pricewise. Food was hit and miss , you could tell they recycled quite a lot from previous days. The food was normally not warm, that s something to look at but there was at least 1 or 2 mains that were always pretty good and a lot of variety. Waterpark was small, but entertaining. Water was veeeery cold but I guess that s what you get in January. The need more people in reception, 1 person at day time was not enough. Overall good place to stay, the area was really nice cut through a sort of mountainous valley with a lovely black sandy beach.

A Pleasant Surprise Beyond Expectations Contrary to some of the reviews we had read, we were pleasantly surprised by our stay at this hotel. The food was good, and there was a wide variety to choose from. Contrary to what some reviews suggested, the waitstaff were not rude at all; everyone was incredibly kind and helpful, especially with our little one. We arrived late in the evening, and although the receptionist mentioned that we had half an hour before the restaurant closed, she quickly gave us our wristbands and told us to head to dinner first, then complete the check-in process afterward. They also prepared a thoughtful care package for us with sandwiches, mineral water, fruit, and dessert. I’ve read some complaints about this, but in my opinion, it was a very kind and considerate gesture. Our room was extremely spacious, beautifully furnished, and the balcony was huge. The bathroom was also in perfect condition. This was the first time I experienced an aqua park with saltwater, but it didn’t feel overly salty. After leaving the water, it didn’t sting or leave a salty feeling on the skin. The pools were highly enjoyable, even with a baby. There were plenty of sun loungers and space available. One thing I found a bit odd was that they charged €4 for an umbrella, but it was a small fee and not a major issue. The nearby beach was fascinating with its glittering black sand and gently sloping ocean. We were lucky to enjoy a nice water temperature as well. The restaurant was very spacious with ample seating both inside and outside. The food selection was diverse and suited all tastes. I especially appreciated that the restaurant wasn’t strict with the dress code. While swimwear wasn’t allowed, they were fine with beachwear, which made dining much more convenient. The hotel snack bar was also great; they alternated between hamburgers and hot dogs. I personally enjoyed the hot dog more, but both were tasty. They also offered salads, sandwiches, desserts, and fruits for anyone who might get hungry between meals, although the lunch options were generous enough that this wasn’t often necessary. There were two different coffee machines in the restaurant, and there was a noticeable difference in the taste of the coffee. If you don’t like one, I suggest trying the other. The coffee itself was very good, and the selection of carbonated drinks was also nice. As for the elevators, they were indeed a bit slow, as some reviews mentioned, but this was mainly because there were only two elevators, and people would press both buttons, causing the elevators to stop unnecessarily. The hotel itself is in great condition, although I did notice that the carpet in the hallway on the 6th floor (I’m not sure about the other floors) was a bit worn, giving the hallway a slightly run-down appearance. However, the lobby was very impressive, and the furniture in the rooms was in excellent condition. The cocktails at the bar were not watered down at all – they were delicious, especially the sangria. You could also ask for ice cream anytime from the bar, along with juice for the kids, since the poolside drink machine didn’t offer non-carbonated options for them. However, the alcohol-free cocktails were a big hit with the little ones. Overall, our experience was wonderful, and I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.

We stayed at this hotel at the beginning of December to celebrate our anniversary. The weather was surprisingly hot, which was a big plus, and the location is ideal for anyone looking for a relaxing getaway. There isn’t much to do in the surrounding area aside from mini-golf and bowling, but the free entry to the water park (you just need to give your room number) was a huge highlight. Another positive is that the beach is only a 3-minute walk from the hotel, making it easy to enjoy the sun and sea. Our room was spacious, and the air conditioning worked really well. However, the room is definitely showing its age and needs refurbishing—paint was peeling off the walls, the bathtub was leaking, and, unfortunately, we found cockroaches in the room, which was a major downside. This was a major disappointment and left us feeling uncomfortable during our stay. The pool area was nice, however the water was freezing, making it hard to enjoy even in hot weather. If you wanted to use the spa, access costs €25 during the day or €70 after the opening hours, although the gym is free which was a nice touch. One of the most disappointing parts of our stay was the reception staff. They were unhelpful and seemed uninterested in assisting guests. When we asked to change rooms because we’d paid extra for a sea-view room but could barely see the sea from the 1st floor, they refused to help, saying, “Technically, you can still see the sea.” Whenever we asked them anything, their response was usually, “I don’t know, sorry,” which was incredibly frustrating. In contrast, the bar and restaurant staff were lovely and worked hard to make guests feel welcome. The food was decent—nothing amazing—but you could always find something to eat, though it was a bit repetitive. The drinks selection for all-inclusive guests was extremely limited, which was disappointing. Other issues included very poor Wi-Fi, which barely worked, and unreliable lifts that were painfully slow. Overall, while the hotel has some good points like its location, the free water park access, and friendly bar and restaurant staff, the negatives—especially the state of the rooms, the unhelpful reception staff, and the cockroaches—make it hard to recommend. It wasn’t the worst stay, but I wouldn’t return. With some improvements, this hotel could be much better, but for now, I’d suggest looking elsewhere.

Just back from a long weekend and it was fabulous. There was 13 of us for a birthday celebration and I couldn’t fault it at all. We booked self catering and on arrival we were upgraded to all inclusive. Every one of the staff were friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. The food was varied every day and plenty choice to suit everyone. The entertainment during the day was great fun and the two girls Amanda and Sheila really made an effort and our youngsters (late 20s )made the most of it. Participating in almost everything. It is a bit out the way but as we were only there 4 days it wasn’t a problem for us. We went into town for dinner one of the nights and the food was better at the complex. I would definitely recommend these apartments and some of the girls are going back with the kids

Just really far from Seaside 45 minutes walk and not many restaurants around. So you are just actually living in hotel resort. No Prawns 😭😭😭 at all, not even once for 10 days of holiday. We are on the seaside nope ?? Rooms nice big and clean. Bar area to sit little too small for that big hotel. Chairs in sport bar needs attention, they are actually dangerous to sit on them.

Very impressed with Kid friendly hotel. The animation team were very good with the kids with plenty of activities for adults and kids (bingo, archery, darts, etc). They were kind to my kids whether that was in the kids club, afternoon/evening entertainment or just walking around. Despite all other reviews the food was good. There is the buffet style section which caters to all different nationalities and tastes, snack bar for burgers and hot dogs and a nice Italian restaurant only open in the evenings which was my favourite. I personally love zone 1 which is across the road, as it was quiet and chilled with a good pool (careful it is deep!) and self serving drinks. Zone 2 was more active with music, cocktails and animation team activities if you like that kind of thing. Should you wish to go to Maspalomas town the hotel can order you a taxi which comes very quickly if you want to explore. There is Holiday World close by which is walkable and has lots of fairground rides for different ages and a food market for different tastes. I would definitely recommend this place for families. I recently stayed at the Gran Canaria Princess, and while the hotel itself has potential, my experience left much to be desired. The food was disappointing throughout most of my stay. I struggled to find something I genuinely enjoyed until Thursday, which was frustrating given the high expectations I had for a hotel of this caliber. The lack of variety or quality made me dread mealtimes, which is not something you want during a holiday. All-Inclusive Plus: I was not informed about the “All-Inclusive Plus” option during check-in, which led to an awkward situation when I tried to use the pool bar. I was embarrassingly turned away and told to use the self-service area instead. This could have easily been avoided if the staff had taken the time to explain the options and amenities properly. Upon arrival, I was only told the times for dinner and nothing else. I wasn’t given any guidance on where facilities like the self-service area, bars, or other amenities were located. This left me wandering around trying to figure things out, which is not the kind of welcome I expected. A quick orientation or a map would have made a significant difference. Overall, the lack of communication and the poor dining experience overshadowed the positives of the hotel. There’s definitely room for improvement, especially in ensuring guests feel informed and welcome from the moment they arrive.

Stayed here at the beginning of December. Really enjoyed my stay here. The rooms are big with everything you need. Ice cold fridge, safe for your valuables. The bed was lovely and comfortable. The balcony here is massive and nice to sit out on in the evening as the sun goes down. The hotel overall is very clean and well looked after. The swimming pool could of done with being warmer. There is a nice spa area next to the pool. Table tennis tables free to use throughout your stay. The evening food wasn't the best but always different stuff each night. The hotel is situated in a very good location. Local buses run right from the road so don't have to walk miles to get a bus. Shops are a 2 minute walk. There is parking on site but not a lot. Was full everynight. Evening entertainment every night. The lifts are slow and skip floors before coming to your level. There is only 3 lifts for the whole hotel which I feel isn't enough for the size of the hotel. I would come back to this hotel again.

Where do I start - this will be an honest, lengthy review. First of all, the hotel is in an amazing location. I would rate the room 5/10. Pros - it was spacious, decent balcony with a nice view at night and it had a long length mirror. Cons - the air conditioning was weak - you only felt it when you were stood under it. At night we were very hot; Ventilation in the bathroom is also terrible; Lighting is horrendous - there are 2 side lights, 1 dim lamp and a normal lamp - there was not a main light which seemed weird to me; the shower pressure was good but at random times it would go boiling hot; you can hear the people in the next room - i knew when they woke up and opened their balacony door, they don't offer a free iron (I've never been to a hotel even out of the UK that doesn't have an iron) and instead had to pay for the services. Having said that the housekeepers were so friendly and I was told the ironing would be done within 2 days but was done with an hour. Tina who was at the desk was amazing and friendly - I hope everyone meets her when they check in! She makes you feel really welcomed and went the extra mile with my reservation at a restaurant, thank you so much! The bar staff very friendly and welcoming. The entertainment isn't the best but it's something to do when you don't want to sleep or would like a drink with background noise. Unfortunately, I really wanted to like the hotel but each day something would come up and I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone going to Gran Canaria

Their enthusiasm truly enhanced the overall experience. The variety of food available was impressive, with options catering to all tastes, every meal was a delight. The facilities were clean and everything was kept to a good standard including rooms, pool facilities, restaurant and the gym. Finally, big shout out to the ‘animacion’ team who ran the activities throughout the day. We really enjoyed getting involved with some of the different sports and games.

My only small critique would be the quality of the room, not the most modern and the beds are twins strapped together (which was advertised) but they were a bit squeaky and the moved perhaps a bit more than one would want a bed to move.

Stayed here in Nov/Dec 2024. Lovely hotel and the staff are excellent. Rooms are a good size,shower is good and all the toiletries you will need. Also a small fridge in the room. 14 floors in total and we were on the 14th. Originally offered rooms on the ground floor with a small terrace, absolutely no view at all so we asked to be moved,which they very kindly did the next day. Location is excellent , right by the beach. Plenty of sun beds tho many had towels in them early on which is annoying. There are terraces for sunbathing at different levels as the hotel is built on a slope. Reception is level 7. Overall a lovely hotel and we would return.

We stayed at the Corallium Dunamar and had a great experience overall. The location is great—right on the beachfront with plenty of shops nearby. The hotel has a luxurious feel with lovely communal areas, several pools, and plenty of sunbeds. We opted for the Unique Package, which was well worth it. Our room was deluxe uniquev view and came with branded beach towels, access to a private pool area with sunbeds and a jacuzzi, and entry to the Unique Lounge. The Unique Lounge was a highlight—an exclusive space for breakfast until 11 AM, followed by complimentary snacks, drinks, and wine throughout the day. The views from the lounge were stunning. Our room was comfortable, with a good-sized bathroom stocked with amenities. The bed was two mattresses pushed together, but the topper provided made it comfortable. We also appreciated the complimentary bottle of water per person and coffee capsules. The balcony offered fantastic views. The food was excellent. Breakfast for Unique guests included a buffet and made-to-order options like delicious Eggs Royale. The midday snacks and wine selection were a nice touch, and the main buffet restaurant had a great variety of food and drinks. Evening entertainment included a singer at the bar every night, and there was also a daytime program, though we spent most of our days exploring. The only downside was the noise from the beachfront bars, which went on almost every night until 3 am. If you’re a light sleeper, this might not be the hotel for you, as all rooms face the front and there’s no escaping the noise. The reception staff were sympathetic but could only call the police if it got excessively loud. Additionally, there’s no dedicated hotel parking, so guests park on nearby streets, though parking is free. Overall, despite the noise, we had a very enjoyable stay. The Unique Package added a lot of value, and the location and amenities were fantastic. Would recommend it, especially for those who don’t mind some nightlife ambience!

The food is lovely they have a self service buffet I got all inclusive and went for at least 2 servings it was so tasty. Good beer too. I got the double deluxe room I found it strange that there was no lights on the ceiling except for bathroom but they had moody bedside lights, and the terrace had big glass sliding door / wall that from in the room you can see out perfectly but it's tinted so it would be impossible to see inside from outside. Pool was lovely main pool was very packed with a lot of romantic couples putting the emphasis on adults only but the pool outside buffet (which is an infinity pool) has a great view when the parasols aren't open and is generally empty. The location is right on the beach and there is poolside bars serving drinks till 8. The hotel is also very disable friendly with pool chair lifts. All together for my short holiday it was perfect the only thing that could make it better would be to have gone with someone and to have stayed longer

A Peaceful Solo Escape at Don Gregory by Dunas I recently stayed at Don Gregory by Dunas for a solo getaway, and it was everything I hoped for. Highly recommended. The location is wonderful, the hotel sits right in front of the beach and offers a breathtaking view. The staff is super friendly and nice - we made good friends! I also recommend joining the morning yoga class on the beach! My family and I really enjoyed our time there. We’ll definitely come back!

We spent 11 nights at Don Gregory by Dunas, and while it’s a 4-star hotel, it still could benefit from some renovations here and there, especially in the rooms. When we first arrived, we were a bit disappointed with the room we got. But the staff were super helpful, and they quickly upgraded us to a better room with an all-inclusive package, and that is why we’re giving it 5 stars. Everyone was super friendly and helpful, but Andrew really stood out. He went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. His positive attitude made a huge difference and made our stay so much more enjoyable. Thanks to Andrew and the whole team, we had an amazing stay, and we highly recommend this hotel!

This hotel is absolutely excellent!! We love comming here! The staff is absolutely brilliant!! The rooms are really clean and spacious. The food is excellent The chef is the best! The entertainment is really good in the day and nighttime! Naomi is really lovely! It's our third time here and we will definitely come back!

Stayed at the Don Gregory for 4 nights. Rooms were dated and the shower and toilet were in glass cubicles and just curtained off in the room. I didn’t like the idea of this and prefer a private bathroom. The showers leaked on the floor making it dangerous. I had to move rooms a few times due to the water leaking and in the first room the view was of a male lying on his sun-bed in a rather unflattering position by the side of our balcony (we were on the lower ground floor). I didn’t fancy waking up to that every morning! The room was also by a public footpath on the front by the beach; this was okay until people walked past the balcony or congregated at night until the wee hours of the morning. It felt very exposed with no privacy and noisy at night. There was only one English TV news channel and when I asked why the channels catered more for other European languages, I was informed it was due to the package deal agreed by the hotel. Not a major issue but it would have been nice to watch a film late at night in English. On a positive note the female receptionist was very helpful as was the customer relations lady. They were both very helpful in trying to resolve the room issues. The food was outstanding and the dining area staff were fantastic. The hotel is just by the beach and has good shopping facilities nearby. Unfortunately, the day I was due to leave I noticed a new box of perfume had gone missing from my case which was in my room. Thankfully, I placed my other valuables in the safe before I departed from the room. I didn’t report the matter as I thought it would turn up, however sadly it didn’t. I would encourage anyone staying at the hotel to place valuables in their safe at all times. I did email the hotel about this but received no response.

What a brilliant holiday! A great introduction to Gran Canaria! The staff made the holiday, from checking in, to checking out, the staff couldn’t do enough! Bar staff, restaurant staff, reception, cleaning team, entertainment staff, life guards! All deserve a huge praise from management! It’s made us want to book another trip for next year! Hotel is more than adequate, facilities are fine, hotel room ideal for what you need, we had a deluxe room with sea view, beautiful views! Ideal location to go out for walks around the resort, got far from the beach and bars etc (although you do have to navigate some steep steps/slopes) Ignore some of the most recent negative reviews, we heard the way one of the negative reviewers spoke to the Jet 2 rep and hotel staff, disgusting, the holiday makers made their own decision to to the all inclusive package, they didn’t read the small print and assume premium drinks were included… NOT the hotels fault OR Jet2!!!! If you want a nice, chilled, kid free hotel I would highly recommend!

Wonderful place! I spent a week here in August 2024. Room was fresh and always clean, food was good and various, the security during the night hours was guarding the entrance. Amazing location! But the best about this hotel was STAFF! Maria and Africa at the reception were AMAZING! These women made my whole stay: always cheerful, always polite, they helped me to solve my issues immediately. First, they helped me to get a room with the better view (they did not get irritated that I was so picky), then gave some recommendations on local restaurants, another day helped me to build a route around the island. Moreover, at the end of the stay I felt like we got friends. They are simply amazing, attentive and always having a warm attitude towards guests. Thank you one more time Maria and Africa! Nathalie at the pool bar is making the best cocktails! She is very skilled: I would usually ask for alcohol-free ones and some were not on the menu but she would always fix it the best way. Nathalie was also always very attentive, always having a small talk with guests with the smile. Thank you, Nathalie! In general, the hotel itself was good. Everything here was made for the guests favour. But again, the best about the hotel is the people working there. Just because of them I want to come back here again! Merry XMass and Happy New Year! We had a lovely 10 days here. The staff were all amazing and all went above and beyond. Nothing was too much trouble. The Christmas gala dinner was out of this world. Everything was fantastic and we would definitely recommend this hotel.

Staff were very friendly and helpful! They allowed us to keep our all-inclusive bands on after checking out as we weren't being picked up until 8 o'clock in the evening for our flight (checkout is at 12pm unless you are able to book a late checkout) , meaning we still got to enjoy the free drinks and all three meals, which was very kind of them! Our room was lovely and clean, cleaned whenever you request (must put a sign on your door handle if you want it cleaned), beds were comfy, nice plush pillows, light sheet for duvet and blankets in the cupboard for if you prefer something more warm. The food was great, something new every lunch/dinner so no flavour fatigue there. So much to choose from, salad bar, fruit, desserts, cured meats and cheeses, breads and of course the different varieties of cooked food. (buffet) Nice and quiet upstairs on the rooftop pool and bar area and great views of the sea and the dunes! Main pool is great also, plenty of sunbeds. Overall we had a wonderful time at the hotel and couldn't recommend enough if you are a couple or want to come with your adult family members.

Currently 8 days in on a 10 night stay and can’t fault this hotel. Rooms are lovely and cleaned daily. Staff are friendly and helpful. There is plenty of food choice at breakfast, lunch and dinner. Beach is a 5-10 minute walk from the hotel and local bars are nearby too. Plenty of selection of drinks choice on the all inclusive option. Special mention to Andrea on animation for keeping us entertained during the day with plenty of activities around the pool. Evening entertainment has been singers, acrobatic acts and quizzes. Would recommend this hotel 100% and would definitely come back again.

The hotel was lovely and quiet and the spa was such a bonus. As soon as we arrived I could feel the calmness. Price seems to have jumped up a lot since we first started to look at this hotel a year ago. Maybe it was the time of year. Would definitely visit again for total quiet and relaxation. They had made an effort having vegan options available at dinner and at breakfast every type of vegan milk was available. Everything was clearly labelled. Food was always fresh and hot. Saw thermometers being used to check temperatures. The upper pool was very quiet with Bali beds available and we did enjoy some pool activites at the Infinity pool with the animation team who were so friendly and fun. All staff were amazing. Very helpful and friendly. No personal phones to be seen, although the bar tender in reception disappeared regularly one evening ( may be due to live football so forgave him ha ha) Cleaner was efficient and discreet. Just one disappointment is that we encountered a staff member entering the hotel (not on duty) being generally negative and rude using the F word. Would go again in a heartbeat if prices drop.

Just more vegetables would have been great and bacon and sausages at breakfast were pretty poor... Rooms also good and roomy although getting slightly dated but views made up for this... Location great and all staff were brilliant that we encountered.... Entertainment was probably the major let down especially pool side... It is a very beautiful place with a stunning view. I booked a spa pass and an 85-minute massage. I highly recommend the spa. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend the massage. The therapist was very unskilled and didn't know the techniques. Sometimes, I had the feeling she fell asleep. The room was cold, and the air conditioning blew cold air directly onto my body. This was one of the worst massages I've ever received at a spa. I believe that for such a price, well-trained professionals should be conducting the treatments. The therapist had no experience, and it is impossible to provide good treatment with long nails. I'm sorry to have to write such a review.

A nice hotel and food good.Room housekeeper v effecient and prepared room early every day.Hotel very busy. I walked into a thick glass panel in the reception area (a discrete panel in a tiny side room)and banged head v hard.Reception man got my daughter some ice but there was no further contact re injury.Head v bruised and painful still(6 days later)a follow up call would have been nice,a fellow quest was v concerned.The panel was not obvious.These little touches make all the difference.

I would definitely recommend this Hotel for family vacations and those who have kids.my second time in this hotel.room 352. Animation team who do the entertainment are amazing and make kids happy during the day. Staff are friendly. Location is close to the shopping centers. Transport to the beach is available. Restaurant is clean and bar is offering services almost whole the day. An improvement is to add one more microwave out of the kitchen for small kids for warming up the food and milk.

Hotel Stay Review – Abora Catarina My stay at Abora Catarina was absolutely exceptional and definitely worth recommending! The first thing that impressed me greatly was the professional and extremely friendly staff. Every hotel employee was smiling, helpful, and ready to fulfill even the smallest requests from guests. I truly felt cared for, and their approach made the stay even more comfortable. We stayed in room 215, which was simply fantastic. The rooms in this hotel are in a class of their own. Cleanliness, aesthetics, and attention to detail were top-notch. The interior design combined modernity with coziness, making every evening spent in the room a real pleasure. Additionally, the equipment was very well thought out, and the bed was incredibly comfortable—perfect for relaxing after a long day. However, the biggest highlight of our stay was the food served at the hotel. Every meal was a true feast for the senses! The menu was very diverse, so everyone, regardless of their preferences, could find something they loved. All the dishes were fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of options, while lunches and dinners were a culinary adventure. In summary, my stay at Abora Catarina was an unforgettable experience. Excellent service, beautiful rooms, and delicious food made me eager to return at the next opportunity. Staying here turned out to be the best idea for my boyfriend’s birthday present!

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel in room 320, which offered lovely views of the gardens and very quiet . It's perfect for families with kids, thanks to the amazing animation team and the variety of activities and night-time shows. The pools and water park are excellent, and the all-inclusive package provided a great selection of food and snacks throughout the day, with beer and wine available on tap. The only improvement I could suggest is adding a snack station closer to the water park area. This would make it easier for kids to stay around and still have access to snacks. The hotel is just a two-minute walk from the beautiful dunes, There are plenty of facilities close by, easily accessible, I would definitely recommend this hotel.

We stayed at the Abora Catarina over New Year and I'd definitely recommend the hotel! The staff were always so very friendly and helpful. The cleanliness was excellent!! The hotel was always immaculate! The food and variation were great, everything was fresh and there was always plenty of it! The staff in the restaurant done amazing with the Hogmanay celebrations, from the decoration, food and entertainment! The pools were too cold which was a shame, they look great, especially the kids area but there was hardly anyone in this area as the water was just too cold, it needs to be heated, especially at this time of year. 5 out of 5 for the Animation team, they were absolutely brilliant, always bringing so much energy, they went to a lot of effort every night with the children's disco and every show they done, they gave it there all!! Absolutely brilliant and as a family we enjoyed everything they done!
