I don't often write reviews, but I have to praise this hotel, it's so nice. I originally booked bed and breakfast, but ended up having evening meals as well on most evenings, for a discounted price of 15 euros per evening meal with 5 or more. The food was excellent, buffet service, with so much amazing choice, something for everyone i would have thought, with both breakfast and evening meals. The cooked food was warm but not too hot and well cooked. I find it difficult to believe that some reviewers have criticised the food! The restaurant also appears very modern, as does the hotel generally, with generous tropical planting all round the accomodation areas and pools.
The swimming pool area is also very modern, with glass screens around the edge and plenty of sun beds. The main pool was warm enough to be comfortable for swimming and very clean.
I cannot praise the hotel reception staff highly enough. They were so friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for them.
The hotel is in a quiet peaceful area and no late night noise. There is an area of waste ground just outside the hotel to the front which presumably is scheduled for development at some point, but not at present. There is a taxi rank outside an adjacent hotel and, as others have said, it's only about 5 euros to Meloneras and the beach, 8 euros or so into PDI.
I walked down to the beach most days, only about 20 minutes pleasant walk and there is a nice botanic garden to explore on the way (only open weekday mornings) and also the route brings you out alongside a lake called La Charca, which is great for bird-watching, just before reaching the vast expanses of Maspalomas beach.

Lovely 2weeks chilling at the Calderones hotel.
Jet2 advertise as 3* but more like 4*.
The service is top class - all staff we met were very friendly and welcoming - especially Marlen, Marjory & Samuel.
Food was good, a bit repetitive but as good as anywhere we’ve eaten over the years.
The bar service could be a bit slow at times especially when the restaurant is open too, but just got to be patient!
The pool area is perfect for chilling out, very peaceful & very clean.
A little far from town but made us get our steps in (there is a courtesy bus & a very good taxi rank nearby).
Hopefully we’ll be back soon!

Nice setting, peaceful, clean and well maintained gardens.
Food very poor. Luke warm, lack of choice for desserts, 'Chefs' made us feel uncomfortable by watching our every move. Management need to review their ability to cook. Dangerous, open hot grill to make toast at breakfast, need fresh orange juice and better quality of items.
Gym equipment broken and dirty jacuzzi. Pool needed cleaning more than once a week (as was observed). Beds very uncomfortable with springs poking through and beds on wheels. Also chilly in the evenings and no heating available in rooms.

Unfortunately, our experience was impacted by the last-minute change to our booking from Livvo Dunagolf to Livoo Los Calderones, which was communicated to us less than 48 hours before our flight. We had specifically chosen your hotel for its garden and location, so the sudden change was quite disappointing. Although we were offered dinner inclusion as compensation, the short notice left us with limited options, and we felt the situation could have been handled with more consideration.
While we appreciated the gesture of including dinner, the dining experience did not fully meet our expectations. Although the variety of options was nice, the fruits were often under-ripe and lacked flavor, and many dishes, while plentiful, seemed to prioritize quantity over quality. The fish, though enjoyable at times, was occasionally undercooked. Given this, we opted to dine out several times and, in hindsight, feel that declining the buffet would have been a better choice, potentially warranting a partial refund.
Regarding the accommodation, we appreciated the cleanliness. However, we found the stairs inside the room inconvenient, which made the space feel smaller and more akin to a hostel. Additionally, the walls lacked sound insulation, and we could hear conversations and music from neighboring rooms on several nights.
Overall, while the hotel has many positive aspects, we believe there are areas for improvement to enhance the guest experience. We hope this feedback is helpful and constructive.

The rooms are a little tired, but in general , all was good. We had a wonderful time and couldn't fault the reception, restaurant or bar staff. They were all friendly and keen to help . I'd definitely recommend it. If I was to be highly critical, the mini bar was annoying. It used up fridge room we wanted and included coffee, tea bags, sugar and water. Rather it wasnt there. Things you'd often get as complimentary. Enjoyed the evening entertainment and the breakfast was good . We didn't have our main meals there , simply because we prefer to visit different restaurants. We would definitely return if the price was right
