Stayed at Sol Lanzarote for a week. The good parts included a modern room, cleaned every day, 3 pools which were not too busy apart from the heated pool which is full of kids most of the day. I thought the food was decent and you do get a good selection everyday including meats, cheese, bread, fruits and vegetables, and desserts. The beer and wine is on tap so it's very easy to get yourself a drink whenever you feel like it. The hotel has very good beach access which is literally only a 30 second walk away from one of the pools. The only negatives I would say are the music is very loud and lively all day from about 10:00 am to about 22:30 pm at night. There are also a lot of children there who are quite loud as well. Overall it's a good hotel but I personally think it's more suited for a family with children than a quiet holiday getaway for a couple.

I'm just coming to the end of my 1 week vacation at Sol Lanzarote and I'm super sad to be leaving. This is my 3rd time staying here at it never disappoints. The staff are lovely, the rooms are really nice and the food is good too. Perfect location in a quieter part of the island. Not too far from PDC if you fancy a bit of wildness. I'm super impressed with the free booze that's on offer. All inclusive covers beers, wine, sangria and most spirits and also cocktails. Thanks for a wonderful time again. I'll be looking forward to hopefully returning again in the future.

The location was perfect. The hotel was clean and tidy and comfortable. Facilities excellent. Pool area was well furnished a large enough. Service was very good. Staff friendly and professional with good humour. The entertainment team were just amazing ( ran on Duracell batteries. They had so much energy).

Room was clean and comfortable. Staff cleaned it well. All staff were friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant was okay snack bar was pizza chips fruit hot dogs. Hotel was right on the beach which was so clean and beautiful. Pool area was nice but water is cold. Kids entertainment was great my kids really enjoyed it. Really enjoyed it.

Location is beautiful, situated next to the beach, the sea is calm with plenty of bed chairs to choose from. Hotal staff are very friendly and helpful The Rooms are spacious but dated but cleaned daily to a high standard. The food is cooked well and plenty of fish on the menu, only downside if you eat in daily it becomes limited for choice. Daily excursions is a must as there is plenty to do nearby, cabs booked by reception and arrive within 5 minutes. If you like sitting by the pool be prepared for sunbed wars, morning entertainment from your room is a great watch. In the afternoon there was always a bed with music playing all day. I would visit again as its a beautiful island but not the resort, not for a couple of years at least.

Everything was ok we are satisfied from our staying there. Maybe personal need to do at least little bit more efforts. Want to great the boys on the front desk they were extremely nice, polite and understanding. Food was good and plenty. We did love the fish. Convenient is that in the back exit of hotel you can find a lovely side walk with plenty of stores, and hotel is extremely close to the airport 35 min. walk, 5 min by car 🚗.

We went family to the holiday and stayed in this hotel . All the staffs were very friendly and welcoming. My children’s loved the kids disco and all the extra activities. The food was delicious and amazing. The beach is really very close and clean. We had a great experience overall… I will definitely recommend this place. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

Had a 1 week family holiday, and WOW what a blast we've had, I have never met such friendly, kind hearted staff, everyone we had the pleasure to meet was so lovely, and wanted to chat, nothing was ever too much, food absolutely plenty of choice we never went hungry, room was fantastic, pools an beach amazing. Staff from security, to reception to bar and entertainment staff to the life guards and the hotel photographer 😁, we love you all and can't wait to see you again. Just had a week at the Royal Lagoon with my girlfriend and two of our friends who aren’t a couple. My first impressions weren’t good as our booking had been messed up and they didn’t have rooms for us and the reception team tried to get us to all stay together. This was sorted out after a few hours. As the week went on my experience improved. There is only WiFi in the lobby which has a weak signal. Some of the communal areas require cleaning and redecorating. The dining room was grubby and some of the windows had cracks in them and an overall depressing state very 1970s. In the rooms the decorating finish is poor. Some of the plug sockets are hanging off the wall. The bathroom needed a complete overhaul. The rooms were cleaned every day and restocked but they need a deep clean and redecorating. There was paint drips all over the wall and door frames which isn’t necessary and should have been cleaned up. The “all inclusive” is restricted to a small selection of drinks which are served in small plastic disposable cups. So don’t expect a pint. No matter what cocktail you asked for you got an unidentified spirit with orange juice and grenadine. The buffet is very hit and miss and I suggest getting in early before everyone else messes the dishes up. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. You will get a bit of hassle from salespeople around the pools, but we just had a chat with them and told them we weren’t interested. They’re all very friendly and polite regardless and didn’t kick up a fuss when told no and left us alone. The location is very good and there is a taxi rank inside the lobby who couldn’t be more helpful and cheap. I’d avoid the shop inside due to extortionate prices and just go to the little shop out on the street or the supermarket at the mall. There are a couple of really nice restaurants in walking distance including The white elephant and Moby dicks. Most of the outside areas are lovely and the pools are nice and clean. However there are a few areas that for some reason are used as a bit of a dumping ground for old chairs and table’s and building materials. The green areas are really well maintained and very pretty. Plenty of sun loungers. Personally I feel this place could very easily be much better with simple fixes. Such as putting left over building materials away out of sight. There is no need of piles of old chairs and tables to be left in full view. The painting is really slap dash and wouldn’t take a lot to put right. Do a deep clean in the communal areas and rooms. Throughout our stay there were a pile of mattresses at the bottom of our stairs, which on occasions we had to climb over, put them away! I would go back to Egypt, but I don’t think I would stay at the Royal Lagoon. I have attached photos.

Where to start… we stayed in the hotel one week. Couldn’t wait to go home. We paid for a superior twin room and upon arrival we were told that we were upgraded for FREE to a better room- ultra superior (looking at their website there is no such a thing). I suspect this theatrical move was a trick to get a tip. Like everything else they expect tipping: opening the umbrella at the pool (you can’t do it yourself because there is a part missing), bringing a drink to your table etc. etc. This hotel supposed to be 5 star but the quality is like 3 European star hotel. It’s supposed to be all inclusive but you have to pay for fresh juice(the guy who sells the juice is harassing all the guest all day long). If you fancy ice cream or popcorn get €4 ready. Also some parties are free but you have to pay for drinks. They run out of ice or snacks on daily basis. Many staff don’t speak English. Those who do will want to scam you and get you booked on overpriced excursions, photoshoots, massages etc. etc. Food is horrible. Very small selection of dishes. The same food everyday. Fruits very limited, musty cakes. They take your plates as soon as you stop chewing. Hotel is outdated, needs a proper refurbishment. Towels have holes, rooms are dusty. Pools need to be cleaned as there is vegetation on the bottom between tiles. At the kiosk in the main reception, the prices vary depending on the day and who serves you. Everyone wants to sell you something, there is no genuine kindness. I don’t mind tip those who provide a service but not everyone just for doing their job. We felt like we were just walking wallets. Entertainment was mediocre and no real effort was made to make it interesting. You can go to the beach by shuttle bus which runs every half hour. It is only 10 mins drive. Remember to take the towel from the hotel with you. You are entitled to 2 water bottles per day. Our freezer wasn’t working properly- needed defrosting. I would not recommend.

everything is much more beautiful in pictures than in reality. I did not enjoy my stay here. When we arrived at the hotel (around 9pm and with a baby) we were impatiently waiting to receive the room key because we wanted to put the baby to bed, but the gentleman at the reception was waiting for money (€50) to upgrade the room, he seeing that we don't want to do this update and he gave us the key in the end. There is no internet, only if you pay for it! or you can buy your Vodafone cards from a shop in the hotel, that's what we did. Employees had bad jokes and hit on women. the terrace is full of crows and you can't eat outside at all because they steal the food, it's very disturbing. The water in the pool is excessively cold because there is more shade on the pool than sun and we couldn't swim in the pool, especially me and the baby.. every morning many sunbeds were already reserved by people even though it is clearly written on the posters that they are not reserved. but "for a small price" as the employees say, they reserve it for you.

Upon arrival, we were quickly assisted and received our hotel room promptly. The first impression of the lobby was fine, but when we entered our room, we were disappointed. The room was very old, and the shower didn't work optimally. However, the hotel staff was friendly, which was a plus. The food was terrible and monotonous; we had almost the same thing every day, and it was tasteless. Fortunately, there were some lovely servers, like Ahmed, who was always cheerful, and the guy at the drinks station was also a star. The beach was nice, but the pool was dirty and really needed cleaning. The fresh juice bar was a highlight, with super friendly guys like Osama, Otman and Muhammed, with whom I had a great time. The animation team was friendly, but the beach vendors were really annoying; they talked a lot, and you just don't want that on vacation. Overall, it was a mixed experience.

Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. We stayed in a sea view room but it was more like a pool view room. We were supposed to stay there for 9 nights but we actually ended up leaving 2 days earlier. When we went to check out at reception the receptionist went into a discussion/ argument with us about why we were leaving also. The room was old and dirty, cleaner only cleaned the room 2 times in a week period, we had to request toilet roll and fresh towels almost every day. We had mould in the shower, no cold water only lukewarm, toilet didn’t flush properly either. Hair dryer also not working at all. Light switches also damaged and not working properly, air conditioning doesn’t change tempo or temperature, blows dust out as it hasn’t been cleaned since it was installed most likely, we and my partner both got really sick from the air conditioning and had to go to the pharmacy to get medicine. There were no toiletries in the shower and the shower wouldn’t drain fast enough either. The cleaner kept coming to our room knocking on the door and just walking in at random days of the day, didn’t speak English. You cannot lock the hotel door from inside so we had to put a chair against the door to stop the cleaner from coming in. Beds by the cleaner were not made properly, we had to remake them ourselves. Bed sheets filthy with stains all over them. Pillows hard and mattress old and disgusting. Floor also wasn’t cleaned at all. Couldn’t get any rest here, they played loud music at random times throughout the day and night. The food was also terrible, we ate the same thing each day and we actually lost a bit of weight there. Plates, glasses, cutlery also dirty and most of the time you have to wait on these things to be cleaned. The staff in the buffet area are quickly taking away your glasses and plates even when you’re not fully finished. You also need to pay for wifi in your room which is 20 euro for 7 days, when we got there they “didn’t have a 7 day pass available” so we could only buy a 3 day pass and the WiFi then only works on 1 persons phone then. WiFi in the lobby also pretty slow. The people from the hotel were really annoying when you were at the beach. Asking if you want tours and then quoting 100 euro for 2 people for snorkelling at one of the islands. We went outside the hotel and to a small street on the right side where we got the same tour for 15 euro per person.. the tours from this hotel are a big scam so don’t book with them, go outside the hotel!!!! Be careful at the beach directly outside the hotel, there’s big rocks there and loads of sea urchins, there’s no signs or anything to say that. I would recommend going to the beach from the Empire hotel which is a 2 min walk. The worker who was serving drinks was normally friendly but he refused to give my partner 2 drinks (one for me, one for my partner) because there was only 2 glasses left and there was a young lady standing behind my partner, the worker kept pointing at the girl, and not wanting to give the drinks to my partner. Eventually he gave them when my partner asked him what exactly was the problem.. On our last night (before we left early) at about 22:15 we were both sleeping as we had to leave early the next day. We were woken up by hard door knocks, someone standing outside our room with a piece of cake shouting “cake, cake”. My partner wasn’t wearing clothes and had to run to the door to hold it closed as they were just trying to open it and come in even when we said no. The people outside of the hotel also are really annoying and try to rip you off so make sure you shop around before committing to anything with these people. Even after this there are so many other small things, I really don’t understand where they got the 4 stars from.

Most of the rooms are old, not the best looking, smell funny and/or have something not working. I recommend taking the sea view rooms if you're going there, the rooms are nicer and have been renovated at some point. Food is OK, just not many options and sometimes it takes a long time for the trays to be refilled. The employees are super nice and friendly, they take extra care of the guests. The beach is really nice, but the one right in front of the hotel has very shallow water and coral reef, so I'd recommend walking 2 extra minutes to the beach of the sister hotel. The water there is clean and really good for swimming or a bit of snorkeling.

We booked this hotel as an all inclusive package. My mistake not to check the hotel upfront before booking. I will start with the good things. Staff is very helpful, no bad things to say. The swimming pool is very nice and the umbrellas at the beach area as well. That's about it. Here comes the story. When entering the lobby, my mood dropped to zero. If this is a 4 star hotel, then what is Hilton? The reception was a place decorated with very dusty Christmas balls. I wander why nobody is seeing all the dust? We got a very old key handed over. Made me think not so positive about the room. And so it was. We could hardly open our door. Had to push and pull to make our key turn in the lock. The room was on the top floor. All in the middle of debris. No soap in the dispensers. We arrived at 5am in the morning and cleaning service was banging the door at 9am. Weird service not to be aware of us arriving this early. No hanger was available to give notice to the cleaning staff. Wifi is a laugh. Only available within 5m range of the reception. You can by Wifi everywhere (insane for a 4 star hotel) for 20$ for 6 days. But they don't tell you there is no wifi available. They make you spend the money first. So, no wifi available at all. Buy a SIM at the airport or an eSIM. You are better off. The hotel has all small independent services trying to sell their stuff. It's pretty annoying having these people coming and ask for things to buy multiple times every single day. It's an all-in! I don't want to be bothered. It's a no go for me as a recommendation.

Really like this place. Just returned from our second stay here, this time opting for a premium sea view room... and it didn't disappoint! It has to be one of the best locations in the resort and to have that uninterrupted view across the beach and bay really contributed to making our week a great one. Yes, if you look closely enough you will find some areas for improvement. However, look beyond that and what you do have here is a clean, comfortable hotel with great staff, good food and all in an enviable location. Ideal for a few days away in the sun...we will be back!

This is a lovely hotel with a very unusual and interesting layout. The staff are friendly and helpful. The pools are very good but the pool bar is too small for the hotel and the other bar doesn't open until late. The rooms are all suites, we had a junior suite with superior sea view, we are right on the seafront here and the wow what a view.

The staff were all excellent, particularly on the bar and restaurant. The rooms were big (Jnr suite), although the AC was not very effective. Huge balcony and we could see the sea. Food buffet was OK, lots to choose from, although we ate out a few times in search of higher quality meals. All inclusive alcohol was weak/not so nice (beer and sangria were fine - but not the cocktails). You have to pay for branded drinks. The pools I think are salt water so wash your swimwear after. Nice layout with lots of sunbeds. A perfect location for a 10 minute walk into where the shops bars and restaurants are. There are a few shops nearby selling snacks/drinks. Recommend hiring a car from here to see the north and south ends of the island (approx 1hr each way - we used CiCar). Overall really happy with the hotel and experience.

We booked the hotel for a week. I am writing this comment on the 3rd day of my stay. Unfortunately the hotel is an absolute disappointment. the food is terribly bad. I had nausea last night and then vomited. I don't know if I have food poisoning or if my stomach didn't want the disgusting food anymore. this is our first and last visit here. The hotel doesn't deserve four stars. I don't recommend it to anyone! The pool is very dirty, a deposit of 10 euros is required for towels, I can understand that. But as soon as you want to change the old towel with a new one you have to pay a fee of €1. So much for the all inclusive theme. In Turkey, Egypt, etc. I have never experienced anything so bad in any all-inclusive hotel.

Great hotel would have given 5 stars, but a lot of issues that could improve. The entrance and majority of the ground floor are paved with broken pavement, which is a major hazard for tripping and very, very awful to go over as I'm a wheelchair user. Rooms are nice, but the ac is a hit and miss. Cleaners have to be reminded that you want room cleaned. Restaurant is another hit and miss. The food is more or less every other day. The location was fantastic as you came out of the hotel. The beach is front a two minute walk. Views are great. You can see the beach from one side to the other and see the sunset/raise in the ocean.

good holiday but, does not deserve for 4 stars hotel, max 2. Because of the very nice staff in this hotel that works there I gave 3 stars for them. The hotel needs renovation, rooms and bathrooms dirty, furniture old, needs replacing. The door opening system is old, the cards to open them are constantly reset. Safe and phone in the offer but, nothing worked. Apart from that a nice place.

At the beginning of the trip, we waited a long time at the reception and were about to leave the hotel, but when we received the room, the employee Ahmed welcomed us very much and did not delay in fulfilling the requests. No food variety, old room furniture, sea was always closed, the sea was super rocky that you can’t walk without wearing footwear, sea snacks wear always bakeries. Housekeepers would not do the basic water refill unless you ask them, animators would walk around asking for a good review from guests sitting around regardless of how your experience was. Those were only a few examples for a low quality hotel. If I could give 0 stars I wouldn’t .

Rooms are quite simple, but the cleaning was good. Abdul was our cleaner, he was really nice and cleaned the rooms very good. The food was good. Pools and the aqua park were normal.

I wouldn’t recommend coming to this hotel. I will start with the positives and say that the room we had was very nice but we did get a free upgrade on arrival which was kind. However speaking to other people staying closer to the sea, the rooms were old and unsatisfactory. The swimming pool was great and the grounds in the hotel were well kept. The staff were very kind and helpful, no complaints towards them. However, the food was not good. It was mostly the same for the whole week we stayed there and just was bland. In the restaurant, there were multiple occasions that there was no cutlery, no glasses for drinks, no plates or tables. I completely understand when it’s busy but this was most days all at different times. Same with the bars, it was common to have to wait 5/10 minutes at the bar as there were no glasses. The alcohol drinks I don’t think had alcohol in them, you could drink and drink and not feel tipsy at all. The bartenders were very nice, especially if you tipped them. The lobby bar was the best one for the drinks and normally had glasses as it wasn’t that busy. The animation was poor. The team were friendly but especially in the evening it would be a half an hour disappointing show and then a few dances that they wouldn’t even invite people to join in, just watch them for 5 minutes. Then they would go around and ask people to come out to a club and pay 25 dollars for a transfer to a club. Or pay 7 dollars for a foam party on the beach that consisted of 30 mins of watching the animation team dance, a quick fire shows and a belly dancer. Things like that should be the standard not an extra. There was aqua gym and your normal volleyball but the evenings were just boring. We had a problem with a tour that was booked with a company on the hotel premises which turned out to not be what they sold us. It was a waste of a day and a 100 quid on a couple however after we told the hotel manager he did apologies and offered a different free tour which was nice. Overall, I would not come here again. There are so many better options for the price. Not all of it was bad, but a lot of the main things need to be improved to actually be a 5 star hotel.

Our personal experience of this hotel and staff have been absolutely amazing. We have been so well looked after. As 2 women travelling on our own we have felt so safe. The staff, especially Nagy the security manager has gone above and beyond for us. The life guards, pool manager, reception staff have all been superb. The food is good, the activities are really good. The animation team have been amazing with us too. I really can’t fault this hotel at all and so pleased we chose to stay here. The Hotel itself is excellent. It had big pools, great entertainment, a nice beach with corals, amazing food, amazing staff. The biggest let down is the rooms. A lot of the rooms look like they have not been updated since the 1970s. Not only this but they're very dirty and the cleaners don't clean whatsoever, despite getting left tips. I would say this is a 5 star resort, I'd give it 4 stars at best.

I had the best experience in this hotel. It was my first time visiting Sharm el Sheikh and I am glad I chose to stay here. The staff is AMAZING. Very friendly and polite and the service is 10/10. I was amazed. Also I want to thank the animation team who were so fun all the time and so cute. All of you made me feel very comfortable. The food is soooo good. Had a variety to choose from everything and I wish my stomach was big enough to try them all. The rooms were minimalist but cute. I want to thank the cleaning guy for being ready to every request that we had. Thank you Parrotel for your amazing service! 🥰

Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in: - Food is inedible - Everything in the rooms is broken - Dated decor - No hot water - Most of the time there’s no atmosphere, then randomly at midday they will blast out very heavy techno music - Spirits are watered down - The few cocktails they do have are all the same, just sugary juice The only good thing I have to say is that the tatty padded mattresses they have on the sunbeds are very comfy.

Everything is great about this place. We’ve not had any poor food, always plenty to choose from. The pools are great for children, always something for them to do. The restaurants are clean, staff always on hand to clear plates and tables. Bars great service. Nightlife is good for families with younger children. We’re one week into two weeks and no complaints at all.

We have been back a week now! We had a lovely stay here the villa was lovely very spacious with everything you needed! The hotel itself was clean and the staff were very friendly and very helpful the food was good plenty of variety for everyone! If you are looking for a holiday for the little kids this place is perfect ! we were 2 adults and 1 grown up daughter so we weren't really catered for regarding the night entertainment as it is Very much for the kids (this is not a negative) but because you are out of the way from anywhere you can't really go for a walk or anything! We did take the free bus to the town for the day which was a lovely day out for shopping and the town was beautiful! My only negative is the foot paths around the villa's are awful and could really do with some maintenance I spent my time walking on the road! And also you have to pay a €200 security bond when you arrive (which wasn't a problem) but I am still waiting for my refund after a week of returning home so just be aware it's not a quick process! But all in all we had a lovely break here I don't know if I would return just simply because it really is for families with smaller children

While arriving at night, it all looks lovely, but the morning light shows the true reality. The footpaths are all broken, so you end up walking on the road. The quality of food is very poor, and if you are relying on the on-site supermarket, be prepared to pay well over the top prices. We ended up going into town( which the resort organises two free buses a day) to go shopping and saved a fortune. The other restaurant on site is called mavericks, and the food is just passable. Much better quality hotels and resorts closer to the town, and restaurants are available. Personally, I would avoid this one.

Come back last week with 2 kids who loved it. Don't miss out on the foam pool party once a week. We went self catering which I'm glad because the people we spoke to said the food was not good. Try and request a villa near the Reception as the resort is BIG and can be too much for a walk if you've got little ones. Pool is great and it's a safe place to stay. Good shuttle service to corralejo twice a say and is free, BUT its about a 15 min walk to the main area once you get off the bus. The staff are great and fixed any issues we had. Enjoy

The transfer from the airport was longer than expected. The reception staff were polite and very helpful. All inclusive food was excellent with plenty of choices, restaurant staff were very efficient. Animation staff were great (Simon needs more training) aqua gym was fun. Overall this is a great place to relax and I would recommend this resort.

The hotel was located in a nice area close to the center and the beach. We loved the choice of food in the restaurant, and even though I'm a vegetarian I had plenty of things to chose from. We were welcomed and treated very nicely by the reception staff and the housekeeping ladies. The only thing to mention is that we could not sleep well as the beds were very hard. Also the bathroom needs to be renovated. However, the room was big and clean and we had a great view of the sea.

we had a lovely stay at Bronze Playa. The staff are friendly and willing to help; the pool/outdoor area is lovely and spacious, with plenty of choice at the bar. Both breakfast and dinner were lovely, with plenty of choice and a different menu each evening. The rooms are a little outdated, particularly the bathrooms, and the towels provided are definitely showing their age! That said, the bed sheets were clean and comfy, and the room is lovely and spacious, with a great balcony! Overall, the hotel is great and would stay again!

Location of this hotel is great (very quiet but not too far from beach and bars etc) over the road from a large open space where they hold a weekly market We had a ground floor room with private patio and access straight onto the pool Rooms are really spacious and clean with separate living room which had a small fridge to keep drinks in Plenty of sunbeds so never seen any sunbed wars!! Drinks were of a decent standard most cocktails were included in the all inclusive The only negative for this hotel is the food We both found it really hard to find something breakfast lunch & dinner but overall really nice hotel and would definitely return if I came back to gran canaria

2024 april I spent 1 week here with my toddler. It was a nice hotel, the staff was nice and the food was great. - i stayed in double room with sea view on the 5th floor, however ,be aware that there is another hotel in front also. so my view was mainly the other hotel and sea on the right side far away and the left side a bit. But mainly i saw the other hotel. It didnt bother me much however because i didnt spend my time sitting on the balcony. But the room is facing the street so it was noisy. Im a light sleeper so wasnt ideal, but was managable. - maybe its normal, but you have to pay if you want to change room. It is 20 euro i think however i didnt change. Luggage storage is 5 euro per item. - wifi was good, but had to sign in again and again almost every day - location was good, but since its surrounded with streets, there was noise at night (mostly cars) - beach is like 5mins walk, but you have to go down quite some stairs and then back up, so its not a straight walk to the beach. Its normal in that area - stores close by

All of the staff we met were friendly and helpful. Perhaps a few more staff members would have made for a better dining room and bar service as there just wasn't t enough staff to keep on top of everything. Fruit juice and food platters would empty and weren't replenished. I found the breakfast and lunch buffet to be adequate but ate out each evening as my 15 year old is a vegetarian so the choices available were quite limited. The sun loungers were comfortable and readily available. We weren't offered pool towels and I didn't notice anywhere around the pool for picking any up but as we took our own with us this wasn't a problem. Our room didn't appear to have any accessible electrical sockets, the only place available to plug in a hairdryer or straighteners was in the shaver socket in the bathroom which worked but I don't think that it was designed to accept a converter plug. I would have expected a socket by the mirror in the bedroom but none could be found. The location of the hotel was great for us and we felt safe in the area in the evenings. The hotel supermarket is well stocked and reasonably priced. If you're looking for good value for money rather than luxury this hotel is it.

My partner and I have just returned from a delightful week-long holiday. The hotel was exceptionally clean, and while the rooms were basic, they met our expectations for the price. The pool area was well-maintained and tidy, with the only minor issue being the inconsiderate behavior of some guests who monopolized sunbeds for extended periods and not using them. We would appreciate it if measures could and should be taken to address this issue in the future. The bar staff was exceptionally friendly and accommodating, and the food hall offered a wide variety of fresh food options, catering even to individuals with particular dietary preferences. This was my second visit to the hotel, and I would highly recommend it and consider returning for a third time in the future.

We are currently on our 5th night. From the very start at check in (we were 3 hours early and they still checked us straight into our room) the holiday has been amazing. Nearly every single drink at the bar is included in the all inclusive, the food selection and quality is amazing for an all inclusive. Our room while it only has a ceiling fan was cool enough to sleep in if you keep the patio doors open and curtains closed 24/7 this is with 29c days. Information given at reception on bus times, prices and what buses to catch and where to change for a trip to the aquarium was so helpful. Lovely pool and getting a deck chair isn't difficult at the end of Sept/beginning of Oct. Most staff speak great English. We will definitely be back!

The hotel is inland, but a free shuttle is provided for the beach. Staff are friendly and hardworking. I do, however, have two complaints. Jet2 advertise the hotel as a family destination yet there is no gate on the children's pool area which would add a level of added security. We are travelling with 2 toddlers, yet we have been allocated rooms over the smoking area and the pool bar where nightly very loud entertainment does not finish until 11pm. It can be heard even with the balcony doors closed, which also makes sleep difficult as the air-conditioning unit is portable and needs to be vented through the open door! There is a ceiling fan, but this just circulates hot air. We have twice requested quieter family rooms only to be told the hotel is full and there are none available. This is despite an email request before we arrived, and there have been two changeover days during our stay so far. The hotel does not appear to be full, but maybe there are a lot of rooms with single occupancy. I therefore could not recommend this hotel as a destination for families with young children.

Mum and I went on holiday here 11-18 October 2024 3 star hotel. Staff polite friendly and helpful Rooms needed air conditioning not just a unit which was very noisy only pool view get the units. Or you can pay 5 euro a day for it. Pool bar was great serves food and you can have any drinks after 11pm you pay shuts at 12am. Entertainment was wonderful in evening and in day also entertainment was great for all. Buffet food in dinning room A lot to chose from sometime it is cold but what do expect when it's a heated unit. Chefs keep checking to replace food quickly Tables get cleaned also quickly

Great facilities from the pool bar to the snack counter. I can't really find anything bad to say. The animation team were always around and the evening entertainment was way better than expected. A free bus shuttles you to maspalomas beach. The rooms are somewhat tired and would benefit from some TLC. Our bath plug had enough mastic sealing it you could have used it to plug the hole in the titanic. Overall a good hotel and with a little TLC would be a great hotel.

Had such a wonderful holiday with the girls at this hotel. Every employee was so polite and accommodating. The hotel is so clean and pretty, great facilities and the beach near by was lovely for morning walks. Would happily come back and would recommend to families or groups of friends. It’s in a great location and has lots of lovely bars and restaurants near by. You feel really safe and welcome in the hotel, we were all at ease and could really relax. The hotel and staff are amazing. So happy and friendly, nothing is too much trouble. It is wheelchair friendly and accessible. Pool has shallow steps to get in and out and a good handrail. We were given a pool level room, which was great for getting around. Lifts up to reception and restaurant, no problem. room was lovely, clean and fresh, and serviced every day. The food was amazing, so much choice, The fresh doughnuts at 4pm were to die for. Great choice of drinks and good cocktails waiter service if you want it. The only thing that lets this hotel down is the evening entertainment. Whilst the dancers are very good, it's the same thing every night with different costumes. Needs more variety and interactive things. There is a guy singing on the terrace who is very pleasant to listen to but again gets a bit samey and it gets very crowded so you have to be there early to get a table. There is nowhere really to dance and let loose. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and will definitely be returning in the near future.

Our room was upgraded without our knowledge or consent beforehand or once we checked in. It was only until we had entered the room ourselves and contacted the reception because we weren’t satisfied due to being given a room that wasn’t accommodating for 3 people, but for 2 plus the cleanliness. Additionally, the receptionists weren’t prompt with acting on our disappointment when we had rang to tell them that the room wasn’t what we had booked as a bed was missing let alone the outdoor view and cleanliness. We were told they were coming to help move us into a different room as we weren’t placed in the room we had booked. We waited over 40min until we had noticed nobody had come to help so we then called a second time whereby 30min later they then sent cleaners to clean the room and bring a spare mattress and pillow which wasn’t what we were promised on the phone nor what we wanted. Cheekily, one of the cleaners flushed the toilet as soon as they had entered without bleaching it which felt as though they were trying to cover their tracks. We then waited another 30mins after ringing for the third time until a receptionist came after the cleaner had also called the reception to come to our room whereby they laughed amongst themselves and spoke in their language then the receptionist said to us that we were upgraded for free. We then said we’d be happy to go and see the room we had originally booked as that had 3 beds, not this room or similar as there were only 2 single beds and a sofa without a duvet nor pillow plus we were didn’t have the quiet garden view as we had requested online when booking this hotel but were given the pool view whereby as soon as you walk outside you’ll hear music, see the pool and sun beds especially as they had placed us on the ground floor. Eventually, we were moved into the room we had originally booked which was more accommodating and cleaner despite the dirt on the walls and limescale under the wash basin tap, after explaining to the receptionist why we’d like to move which felt as though they weren’t understanding or caring as we had already explained on the phone previously twice before they had arrived to the room on the third call. This initial room had a sign on the bed saying that it had been cleaned but the floor was dirty with hairs, the phone was dirty with stains and lipstick where you put it against your ear, the pillows and the walls were dirty, there was limescale underneath the wash basin tap, the toilet seat and the inside of the toilet had stool stains. The main restaurant was similar to the smaller restaurant by the pool. Only difference was that the pool restaurant was smaller with less options. The quality of the food overall and taste was average when it came to dinner and desserts but was below par (not good at all) when it came to lunch. However, the breakfast was surprisingly good each day which had a variety of options and was glad to see that their bacon was fried not baked in the oven like you’d typically see in Europe! Also, the fact that there’s an option to make a toastie from scratch with different ingredients including vegetables, sauces, salami, cheese plus there was a cold meats section but overall, it was mostly a continental type of breakfast. The drinks were good at breakfast with hot drinks from the machine plus fresh juice and sometimes a different counter near the entrance of the restaurant for fresh smoothie but carbonated drinks were only available from lunchtime onwards which were good. The bar on the other hand, was poor quality as you’d have to pay extra to have the premium type of alcohol which didn’t make sense as it’s meant to be an all-inclusive type of hotel therefore it would make more sense to remove “all-inclusive”. Plus the cocktails were either bitter or extremely sour so it would make sense to change the ingredients to improve the quality or remove altogether because it didn’t taste right.

Hotel room wasn’t clean - a lot of scum and mildew on toilet and shower surfaces. If you’re doing All inclusive - save your coin . Limited food options. Food was tasteless and bland. Snack bar was limited in options. The timings of the breakfast, lunch and dinner was disappointing. Especially as food options were inevitably tasteless and repetitive. The drinks were alright. The hotel pool was small for the size of the hotel. The sun lounges were already reserved from breakfast even though people weren’t supposed to do that. The staff hospitality was a hit and miss. Partly as most of them did not understand English to a proficient degree to communicate well . Even those who said they understood English. I guess, it was enjoyable for children as they had some fun activities for kids and senior citizens. Overall , my 9 days was sub-par and I personally wouldn’t advise my loved ones to come here even if it were free.

On arrival we were met with loud music, drunken people and informed we were in our room for just one night before they would have to move us. Luckily this was a one off. We had already booked and paid for an excursion the following day so were told to make sure everything was packed and they would move us while we were out. The initial room was a family room, it was beautiful, large and clean. Whilst out we were moved to another room which would naturally be smaller as just 2 of us. Again it was a nice room, good size and clean. Some minor repairs required but by no means affected the stay. All of the staff (apart from the odd one) were so polite, hard working and couldn't do enough for you. We paid all inclusive and are non drinkers, the rooms had kettles but only provided a satchet of coffee for the first night. The hotel is nicely located and a stones throw from the beach and local shops. It can get very loud at night from other activities outside of the complex which is no fault of the hotels. There is a large variety of Moroccan foods to choose from that are available during 3 different times per day, breakfast, lunch and dinner. The communal areas of the hotel are beautiful, a large seating area which all feels very opulent.

Had an amazing time at the hotel. The staff were great, food amazing, and the entertainment spot on for all ages. I went all-inclusive. The bar opens from 10 and the snack bar from 12-5pm. There is also a part of the beach sectioned off for the hotel, which is nice as it means the road sellers aren't able to pester you. There is a decent sized pool which is cleaned daily as are the rooms.

Not all but certainly the majority don't appear to be keen on the British. If you are French or morrocan you can be sure of Great friendly service. I rate it 3 stars because the first room we got was above a nightclub. It was impossible to sleep due to the loud music. Additionally, there were cockroaches in the room. Fortunately, after complaining at the reception, we were able to change to a much better and quieter room. The staff was very helpful, and the food was delicious. What we liked the most were the atmospheric evenings prepared by the staff. If it weren't for the nightclub with its parties, I would have given 5 stars.

Absolutely phenomenal hotel! Ridiculous amount of services, entertainment and facilities. We fly home on 11.6.24 and I just cannot state enough how highly I speak of the hotel. Special mention to Annette, the manager. After a problem with the booking agent through love holidays - which wasn't her fault, she arranged for us to stay in our upgraded sea view room for the duration! Make no mistake, you won't want to leave the hotel!!!!!!!!

The maid of our room, although nice, STOLE MY HEADPHONES, I have never been to an establishment where the staff literally steal from you :(( this has ruined Marrakesh for me and I don’t think I’ll ever return here again.

The rooms were clean, the one issue we had with our air con was fixed immediately, the food is absolutely delicious, to a high quality and with so much choice. That was our favourite part. The grounds are clean and beautiful and constantly maintained and pruned. The pools are both clean and not over crowded. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The entertainment team had a lot of energy although the night time entertainment wasn't the best except for on the Moroccan Night. There is a free shuttle bus but we never caught it as the timings didn't match up to our booked activities in Marrakech which is about 30 minutes away. But definitely much better being further afield. We had the best of both and I would highly, highly recommend this place to anyone. I even tried to see if we could extend our stay I loved it that much but they were fully booked which figures! Iberostar truly are amazing! Thank you team for making our stay wonderful and memorable!

A really pleasant stay at this fine hotel. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Service with a smile at all times. The hotel is pristine and kept clean round the clock. I was fortunate to have a balcony facing the pool and was able to watch the beautiful Red Sea mountains in the distance as well as super sunsets. I came with my family and everyone enjoyed the facilities including the different pools, the health spa including a gym and the restaurant where there is large selection of food and drink. The airport is close by so you do get the sound of airplanes coming in for their final approach, but thankfully this is only a handful of times a day. Extreme caution to the shops inside the hotel as they charge tourist prices which means x10 what you should be paying. I would recommend the Senzo mall which is within walking distance where there is a large selection of everything you could want including Spinneys, which is a huge supermarket where you can find literally everything you could need at very reasonable prices. All in all a good experience. Note, if you are looking for excursions, it’s best to compare prices with tour operators before committing to the ones within the hotel. If you need a taxi, there is an app similar to Uber called In-Drive which is highly recommended. Avoid taxi touts as they charge extortionate rates

If I could give more stars, I really would. Myself, my partner and our two children have spent the last week here and it has been amazing. A beautiful resort, with great pools and slides for the children, plus a park area and specific children's pool/splash area. A great choice of food also in a beautiful restaurant. I highly, highly recommend booking into the Mongolian grill restaurant where the food is outstanding and the staff are fantastic. We have been treated incredibly kindly by all staff here, the staff truly make this place incredible with all their hard work and kindness! We can't wait to return!

Hotel and service is perfect the problem is the sea very shallow beside the snorkeling area end of the bridge, so you need to walk a lot every day if you wanna swim or do snorkeling the hotel is very generous. We had an amazing time. Music needs to be improved. Same music every day we mentioned to the animation team already. We recommend a hotel after our experience.

We really loved our stay in Olivina and especially with the lovely Animation Team that were always with great energy and had a great dance show. Plus the White Party night which was one of the highlights for us. Apart from that the location is great and they have many different pool areas, so you can be at the one closest to you or you have some which are more or less noisy. Thanks to all the staff for making us feel so welcomed. It was indeed a lovely vacation!

From start to finish we were made to feel like VIPs. All staff were polite, welcoming, helpful and friendly. They all work so hard but always took the time to give us a smile and nice greeting. Our room was just right for us, had a nice view and was kept very clean each day. The animation team were not pushy when trying to get us to join in with events. They were friendly and welcoming, and even remembered our names! This encouraged us to take part in one or two events or at least watch. The food was delicious with so much choice. The beach and shops were within reasonable walking distance. We would thoroughly recommend this hotel and we hope to be back soon.

The staff is incredibly good, the rooms are clean but need renovation. Many furniture pieces are destroyed, the door of the rooms have a finger gap between door and walls, which possibly resulted to the fact that we found cockroaches in the flat. Thankfully the room was changed to a higher lever the day after. The buffet for all inclusive is quite satisfactory but very repetitive. Would I go again? Possibly not. I had the feeling that I was in the room of my grandma 20 years ago cause of such old furniture and also the doors, please change them urgently.

Really enjoyed our stay: the all-inclusive buffet was very high quality, lovingly presented and constantly varied. The facilities were similarly great. The rooms are a little tired, but great size and wonderful shower. The biggest surprise was the complete lack of accessible power sockets in the 3 rooms we had, meaning we had to reach behind the television (who needs a TV on a beach holiday), unplug it and install an extension cable. It might have been ok for 1980, but not for a modern family with a need to charge multiple devices. Great access to the beach and in a quiet location

We had a great stay at the hotel .staff are fantastic. Food OK but nothing to complain about depends what you can eat .something to suit everyone . Entertainment great they definitely go out way to keep everyone entertained. Room great only 1 thing was no rail in shower to hold onto as my husband has a disability we found it very slippy had to put a towel on shower floor. The hotel was kept spotless .the cleaners cleaned room every day to a high standard. Because my husband had a disability and had a bit of a walk from room to dining room .pool . And bars I would have liked to have seen a couple of benches to stop off for 5 minutes so he could rest. But that's only my opinion . All & all we had a great break Monday to Friday and would return.

Had one of my best holidays here. * Food is spectacular * The staff are amazing who really do go out of their way to help * The rooms are clean, comfy, and relaxed * The entertainment was good * The drinks are insane (very generous) 😉 Overall, I will definitely be going back. The whole experience was sensational. Even having a shuttle bus from and to the hotel taking us into the Medina/town was lovely. Most days were spent by the glorious pool drinking rum and soaking up the sun.

Initially, we were quite disappointed with our stay. When we arrived, the room had a strong, dusty smell, and it was clear it hadn’t been properly cleaned. We informed the reception, and although they offered to switch rooms, we asked them to clean it while we were out. Unfortunately, when we returned five hours later, our key cards didn’t work, and we ended up waiting 30 minutes while the staff resolved the issue. When we checked on the room, they were only just beginning to clean it. However, the manager quickly stepped in to address the situation. They came to personally apologize for the inconvenience and upgraded us to a suite. They also graciously offered us dinner, which was a thoughtful gesture. From that point forward, the rest of our stay was excellent. We especially enjoyed the Sky Lounge, where the service provided by Jallal and Ismail was outstanding. Their attention to detail and warm hospitality truly made a difference in our experience. Although our stay started off rough, the manager’s actions and the wonderful service at the Sky Lounge turned things around. We ended up having a great time and would definitely recommend this hotel, thanks to how the situation was handled.

Fabulous suite and clean. Staff very welcoming and friendly. The rooftop bar is a must but drinks aren't included even for all inclusive customers. The sunsets are amazing to see. Not much choice of food in the restaurant but all fresh and plenty. Our suite was spacious and comfortable. We were on the first floor and at the front of the hotel but there was no noise from traffic or people passing. Overall it was a very enjoyable holiday and would recommend it

Fantastic hotel. Were welcomed with a sandwich, water and fruit as we had missed dinner on arrival. Also offered a glass of proscecco. Stayed on the Adult only side, which was very peaceful. The suite overlooked the pool and was beautiful and very clean. Complimentary dressing gowns and slippers! Bottled water in the fridge, replaced every day (also plenty of bottled water at mealtimes.) Food was good with plenty of choice and many things being cooked to order. Polite staff. Not far to beach, bars and shops Will certainly come back again. Fantastic hotel at a sensible price.

This was my first time here and I was very impressed. Lovely spacious clean room with balcony. Bathroom fittings a little worn, but worked very well. Shower brilliant. Had to pay for the safe, but reasonable. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. Reception is fabulous. Pools are nice. We were all inclusive. Quite frankly the range and variety of food was truly exceptional. I have never stayed in a better place, all inclusive, for food. Bars dotted around the place were good. Kids happy with the food too. Enough choice for everyone. The dessert choice was amazing. Hotel 5 mins walk from the beach and shopping centres. Plenty of other things to see further away, on foot also. I would be back in a heart beat. The effort the staff made for Halloween was really above and beyond. They all dressed up, lots of make up, and the food followed a Halloween theme. The restaurant buffet was decorated extensively. Fabulous place. My only gripe? That they didn't have open bottles of cava available in the wine area. I always had to find someone and get it. Never failed at that though!!

Hotel is lovely rooms are cleaned daily to a high standard with fresh towels etc. The pool was clean with plenty of activities for the kids and adults if you wish to be involved. The kids particularly loved Anya and Pilar. The food is plentiful and you won’t go hungry. That been said it was nice to get a break from the food by eating out a few nights . I cannot fault this place we would visit again. The hotel also organise your trips which was nice and there is a bus out the front of the hotel for pick up for trips.

I have just returned yesterday from an amazing two week stay at this hotel. Where do I start…. Angelica, who looked after my room and was always the first person I saw when leaving my room. She looked after me so well and it was great to see a friendly face first thing in the morning, wishing me a great day. The reception team who greeted me late at night on my arrival where so welcoming, including the food packet they had prepared for as as my arrival was so late. They continued to assist me throughout my stay, even smiling through my somewhat silly questions. Working myself in the hotel business I was so surprised at the work the bar staff put into their jobs, seemingly with no effort. He told me I had to mention him so, “Luis you where amazing” 🤣 although I think Jose Luis was definitely the star, trying to teach new Spanish words when he could. The entertainment was also great and in short… a perfect holiday. Just need to find a holiday company that covers my next holiday at his location and I can not wait to get back next year, this time for 3 weeks. Thank you so much for a great time. Philip

The hotel is large and modern, communal areas are very well maintained. The room was very spacious and freshly decorated. There are various activities at the hotel with friendly entertainment staff, they are on most days. We enjoyed volleyball and a jewellery market. The pool was very clean. Good location, close to the airport and away from busy very touristy places. Lots of parking spaces nearby. There were a few annoying things like having to pay cash for towels/ cups for all inclusive. The cash machines charge you a fee of €5. You had to carry cups around with you or you lost your deposit. The floor in the room was cleaned with a strong chemical and left a sticky layer. The shower was annoying as it was dripping and the door wasn’t shutting well so had to be slammed. Small things but can get irritating.

Lovely hotel with good rooms and pool. Beds made every day and if you leave towels on floor in hallway they will change them which was a good service. Breakfast is very good with a wide selection you could want. Poolside snacks daily. Evening meal had a variety of food which we found as we had a party of 10 there was something that everyone could find to eat. There is a few shops, bars and restaurants in walking distance but not loads in this area. Great holiday with entertainment every night.

A lovely holiday at this hotel. The rooms were spacious and well equipped and it was good not to pay extra for the safe. There was a wide choice of food at all meal times but I did find the speciality Italian meal a little disappointing. Great pools and we never had a problem getting a sun bed whatever time of day I found the location to be good as there was a variety of walks from there but some may feel there's not much around if wanting night life. The free shuttle bus was very handy.

Very good location if you're looking for a quiet and chilled holiday. Food was great and something new every day. Staff was great, always smiling and willing to help. The only down side was shutting the pools down at 6pm and poor entertainment. If you don't have full inclusive there are restaurants to choose from that are affordable too as the whole island is approx 20% cheaper than the rest of Europe.

We recently stayed at the Alua Atlantico Golf Del Sur and had an overall enjoyable experience. The hotel was impressively clean, and the music around the pool area added a vibrant and relaxing atmosphere to our days. However, there were a few drawbacks. The main restaurant had a noticeable issue with flies, which was a bit off-putting. On a positive note, the smaller buffet restaurant was much better, offering a more pleasant dining experience. The pool bar, although a nice spot, was often busy, and there was a noticeable lack of replenishment of snacks, which was disappointing. We also found that the All Inclusive Plus package wasn’t worth the extra cost, as it didn’t offer significant added value over the standard all-inclusive option. Despite having a good time, we’ve decided not to return to this hotel. Instead, we’re keen to explore other options in the Golf Del Sur region for our next trip.
