We enjoyed our stay at Parrotel Beach Resort, we were thoroughly impressed by the exceptional guest relations team. From the moment we arrived, the staff welcomed us warmly, making us feel like part of their family. The reception team is very helpful and supportive.
The resort itself is beautifully maintained, although you can not say it’s 5* but the spacious rooms offering stunning views. The housekeeping team consistently provided high-quality service, often surprising us with delightful towel art on our beds. The beach area is pristine. Overall good experience.

We stayed here ending of March 2025 for our honeymoon. By far Egypt has been our best holiday. I will try to explain as much detail as possible. It’s important to know that when arriving into Egypt you will get hounded or offered a service to carry your luggage ( for a fee) just remember NOTHING they do for you is free. The staff in airport are abit rude, stand offish and might give u a second thought before reaching your hotel but don’t let this put you off. This hotel is a 5star resort ( would say more 4*) I do agree that the bedrooms are very dated and spoil the look of the actual hotel. Although, after searching some of the reviews some of the rooms are actual modern in design, we just got unlucky. However, I am not complaining as it was very clean, spacious and the bed was extremely comfortable, we just would have liked a better room considering it was our honeymoon ( receptionist was informed). Room service is available all day and rooms are regularly cleaned and at your own choice this can be declined. The house keepers are very nice, always smiling and accommodating to your needs. Hats off to them for doing what they do especially in that heat and cleaning so many rooms. You do have a safe in the room which gives u a peace of mind. The hotel resort is beautiful, nice big pool, sauna area, gym, very close to the beach and just overall clean, with beautiful views. The beach is a beach lol lovely sand, nice clear blue sea with daily entertainment ( Zumba, big speakers with music, volleyball etc). Can get very loud so avoid the beach if looking for more peace. Negative point- when you are relaxing on the beach some staff will approach and ask you to pay for massages or excursions ( this happens on a daily). Personally found the massages in the hotel to be overpriced. This is something I wouldn’t have again as defo had much better for less.
Mustafa who works by the pool side he is amazing, he was always laying your towels down, finding you beds to lounge on, bringing your drinks over. On out last day we never got to see him to thank him or gift him as assuming it was his day off. A fair few nice staff in the restaurants however some have similar names so no point in mentioning names as will be hard to identify which one this refers to. One staff is always smiling non stop I’m sure everyone who has been will know who were on about. You get a choice of attending a fish restaurant or Italian restaurant once during your stay within the resort which is a nice addition. The Italian setting was lovely in terms of atmosphere may I add and would have highly recommended but my partner was extremely unwell after our visit there ( diarrhoea luckily this was the day before us leaving and this sickness lasted a week even once we got home) he ate fish and i never so I’m convinced it was there. The food was brought out very fast so I am not convinced this is made fresh and could be left overs from previous days?. It’s nice to tip the staff if and when you can as they do work non stop and really hard as well. With us being from the uk their salary a month time is shocking. We went during Ramadan and honestly the staff were just pleasant, greeting, smiling, helpful, and very hard workers. The manger should be proud and appreciate the staff and the service they all provide.
We feel it’s important to leave a honest review of the hotel, what’s around, distance, cost, negatives and positives as when booking a holiday you want to get a good experience. I would defo recommend this hotel and for sure we would return in the future, you won’t be disappointed. One to remember and as stated above Egypt has been our best holiday. Parrotel beach resort we shall see you soon.
Bonus they have shuttle buses that you can request at reception to take you to your rooms.

Big disappointment – definitely not a 5-star hotel.
Dirty dining areas, lack of plates, cutlery and glasses. Long lines, old coffee machines barely working, overwhelmed staff. Food was repetitive and often reheated – only the soups and salads were decent. The pool snack bar was almost always empty – no pizza or fries available.
Pool and beach bars looked dirty, drinks were served in tiny plastic cups, and larger ones were just rinsed and reused – very unhygienic.
Best to bring your own cup.
Rooms were spacious but worn out.
Beds were fairly comfortable. Key cards kept demagnetizing – only after complaints were we given two per person.
Wi-Fi was weak, especially by the pool. Toilet paper had to be requested – never restocked automatically.
Staff heavily expected tips – from cleaners to bartenders.
Hotel mainly targets Russian tourists – staff always spoke Russian first.
Evening shows were embarrassing and childish.
Hotel taxis cost up to 2x more than local ones (same quality).
On the bright side: clean pool, nice garden, good weather.
Bottom line: not recommended. Either pay a bit more for something truly better, or go for a 3-star hotel and at least know what to expect.

Not a Five-Star Hotel – More Like a Three-Star at Best
We recently returned from a seven-night stay at this hotel as a couple, and unfortunately, it did not live up to its advertised five-star rating—at best, it’s a three-star.
Check-in was quick, but we were asked to sign a paper stating that our room was in good condition before even seeing it, which we found very strange. Upon entering the room, we were initially pleased with the spaciousness, but that quickly changed when we noticed how dirty it was. There was hair everywhere, and the bathroom was in desperate need of renovation. Taking a shower was a nightmare, as the entire floor flooded due to poor drainage.
Housekeeping came daily, but rather than a proper clean, it felt more like a quick tidy-up, which literally just involved making the bed and replacing the toilet roll. On multiple occasions, they forgot to leave fresh towels, which was frustrating.
The food was incredibly repetitive, and after a few days, we struggled to find anything appealing. As for entertainment, it was practically nonexistent. In seven days, we saw the same show twice, and evening entertainment only lasted an hour and a half. During the day, there was only one session of volleyball, yoga, or dancing, but the music on the beach was unbearably loud, making relaxation impossible.
The hotel grounds are well-maintained and visually appealing, but the overall experience was disappointing. Finding a table that was already set was often difficult, and waiting for cutlery was a regular issue. The bar service was also poor, with long queues for drinks that often took five minutes or more.
Lastly, the staff were not friendly, and most of them seemed like they didn’t want to be there. Given all of these issues, we would not recommend this hotel to anyone and certainly wouldn’t return.

Disappointing. Entertainment was lacking during day and of poor quality of an evening. Music was played so loudly you could not talk to each other without shouting. Food was disappointing. Lack of sunbeds, cutlery, cups, milk for tea, clean tables and replenishment of popular foods. Stayed in lower rated resorts with much better service.
**following my review I was invited to meet with the Assistant Manager and the restaurant and entertainment manager Syed.
In relation to the entertainment offered they stated that most daytime activities are held on the beach. I suggested that this is made clear on the listing posted with a time schedule.
Syed agreed that tables needed to be cleared and cutlery replenished promptly. There has been a huge improvement on this during the remainder of our stay.
Overall it was refreshing to see how committed to improvement the team at Parrotel Beach Resort are.
I would like to give special mention to Mohammed, who is the pool lifeguard. He works tirelessly to ensure guests are comfortable and that the pool is safe and clean.
Mohammed, who was responsible for cleaning our rooms and the areas surrounding it, did a fabulous job.
We had a lovely holiday, and with the few issues raised being attended to, we can honestly say it is a great place for your holiday
