Rooms were adequate although a bit old. Very noisy sometimes during the night. Airco was placed on the balcony facing the chairs and table, very awkward. Large and kid-friendly main pool. Staff was very friendly. Food was as good as it gets for an all inclusive regime. There was always something good to eat during the main courses. The food in between however was not great at all. Nor were the alcoholic beverages but again that's something to be expected. Location was great. Direct access to a large beach.

We’ve just come back from our holiday staying at this hotel and had the most wonderful time, cannot fault it at all. The staff were so friendly and helpful, the food was absolutely delicious and such an enormous choice, the room was spacious and very clean as was the hotel itself. The pool was great for the children and the beach is not even 5 minutes walk from the hotel. The location is very quiet as far from the road. Can’t comment on the entertainment as we didn’t participate but our children went twice to the kids club and loved it. A bottle of sparkling wine was left in our room on my husbands birthday which was a nice touch! We would definitely recommend. Special thank you to Amandeep and Gerson who were truly adorable :)

Customer service was great and the rooms were decent. We had a sea view room, which was beautiful. My only suggestion would be to add a wider selection of food for those who don't like bland food. A little bit of flavour would go down nicely. The facilities at the hotel was great. The receptionists were amazing, along with the guy that helped bring my suitcase to my room. Stella service... What a super hotel. The staff in all areas are amazing. Very helpful, very friendly. Late night reception welcomed us, and was just so helpful to us. Cleaning staff everywhere making the place spotless. Our 4th floor block A cleaner was super, making our room lovely and giving us fresh towels every day. Very friendly, attentive staff in the ground floor bar/cafe area. Always happy, always friendly, great banter, gave the place a super atmosphere and they make THE BEST sangria. Food was lovely, different meals and dinners every evening, a super selection. And the again, the staff in there worked tirelessly. We didn't do the evening entertainment so can't comment on that. 10 out of 10 to the Auramar. Thank you for making our super holiday GREAT! Please pass on our feedback and thanks to the staff. X

For a 3 star resort, this place is more than adequate. The food is great, if a little limited for choice. The staff are excellent, especially Catelina on reception, she is first class. There is a steep climb down to the beach and, therefore, a steep climb back up again, but it's worth it. The beach is beautiful. The sand is quite course as it’s mainly shells, so building castles may be a challenge. The rooms are clean, and the proximity to the Old Town is excellent. The "Strip" is literally just a few hundred meters up the road.. All in all, the location is 5 star, the staff are 5 star and the food is a conservative 3 stars...

The pool was spacious and when we went it was quiet so we were able to relax. The girl that served us at the bar was very friendly. The apartment itself was grand for what we paid for it, there wouldn't be a chance I'd pay the asking price for it coming into a peak season. It was clean, had pots and cutlery of you wanted to use it, we never did. The fridge and freezer was grand. The bathroom had only a tiny window that you couldn't open. The shower holder was broken so we had to hold the shower hose to use it. The water was really warm to be fair. On our first night we discovered ants on the floor, behind our bed and to my dismay in our bed. So we immediately messaged the next morning as nobody is at reception until 4pm and in fairness the lady did come and change and sheets and put ant killer down, there wasn't an issue after that in our bed but still visible on the floor. For a last minute holiday, the price as location it was grand for the money we paid but wouldn't pay any more for it.It's grand to walk into town it's not far. The only thing is walking back at night, when entering the apartments the road had no street lights on atall until we got closer to our apartment, it didn't feel too safe just because there's a grass areas and trees beside us and we saw lots of lads just hanging out there or walking through, although could be innocent it also may not be, you just can never be too careful. Some lighting would have made up feel safer walking up.

The food is too nice which is not good enough. The bedrooms are too luxurious i like my bedrooms stinking so i dont like it. Wouldn’t recommend if your coming for a nice hotel stay.

We absolutely loved our stay here the room was basic but perfectly clean. We was in A4 right at the bottom of the complex so not far to walk into town. The pool area and pool was lovely and clean and the area in which all the apartments were in was immaculate. They take care in the appearance of the place by maintaining the gardens and the whole area. Check in was quick. I would recommend 👌

Just returned after spending 8 nights here and had an amazing stay. Arrived at 12pm and when we arrived we was told they will try to get the room cleaned faster and we were able to check in at 1.30pm. The pool was closed when we first arrived for cleaning but was reopened by the next day. The on-site restaurant served reasonably priced food and staff were lovely. Room was spacious and clean, we were in block A13 and it was quite a walk up the hill and stairs but after reading other reviews we were already aware of this. Had a lovely view of the sea from our apartment, had no issues with electricity or shower as previous reviews state and air con worked great (we stayed in a superior apartment). There was a toaster, kettle, microwave, hob and basic utensils in our room. We tended to avoid the walk back up as could get an Uber for as little as €3.75 in the day time, on a night would be slightly higher but we never paid more than €5. Cleaners didn’t visit our room during our stay but this wasn’t a problem for us, would definitely return here.

Booked here for 7 nights for 7 people…. Checked in at 1am and we checkout out at 10am the next morning!! Our apartment was located a ten-minute uphill walk from reception. The apartment was absolutely filthy! We could not walk on the floors without shoes, could not sit on the toilet seat without covering it with toilet roll, we had to use our beach towels as pillows as their pillows were stuffed with black and yellow cotton balls and the cases stained yellow, the shower curtain were yellow at the bottom and shower rail broken, marks all over the walls with cobwebs in every corner, the balcony table was disgusting and the floor sticky with stains. The whole apartment smelled musty and you could smell surrage from one of the bathrooms. None of the windows would close so we were all freezing, they kept blowing open and the latches were broken also. To top it off the curtain pole fell on my nephews head as he was sleeping which could have kilt him! We ended up having to book another premises last minute!! This was by far the worse accommodation I’ve ever visited!! I would honestly give it zero stars if I could!

The hotel is old and needs some modernisation. There is no air conditioning but the fan in our suite sized room did actually work well for us. So much so that we hardly noticed that there is no air con on. Could be more stuffy in smaller rooms. The breakfast is free but you’ll see why. But it isn’t the worst. Their location is perfect for the young and lively. A €100 deposit is required FOR MEN ONLY as we noticed and confirmed by asking some female groups. The deposit was €250, so that’s not too bad now at €100, if you’re a male. The photos are the suite at the very end on the level reception is on. It was handy for access. Would I stay here again? I think I would to be honest. The staff were nice and friendly.

If you like party the location is good, directly next to the strip. We paied way to much for two nights in this hotel. When we arrived, there was no toilett paper. The air condition was not working, the room was very used and uncomfortable. The girl at the reception was not friendly at all. If i could turn the clock back, I would do it. I do not recommend this hotel to everybody.

Not even checked in and already have had enough! 1) You arrive at the hotel and get told that check in is solely possible at 4 pm. There’s absolutely no way around that because there isn’t even a staff who is capable of doing the Check ins. Come on.. what kind of joke is that?! 2) As a consequence every guest trying to check in on that day arrives at 4 pm - what a mess! In the meantime guest have to wait in the lobby which isn’t even air conditioned! 3) you really think the check in starts at 4? Absolutely not, the staff doing the check ins isn’t on time and once the check ins start being massively overwhelmed. So still waiting here since 2,5 hours and not seeing any chance of getting checked in during the next hour

our air conditioning was broken, so we asked the receptionist to fix it or to give us a fan she said no. We had to sleep in 26° heat and also our safe is broken, our lights and our shower are also broken and we don’t have a double lock on our door. We have no way to open the windows of the balcony fully. and the staff were incredibly rude they seemed like we were bothering them. We even asked for the manager and guess what! they “weren’t there” We had forgotten our key card. We asked the receptionist to please let us into our room. She threw a fit she said she had so much work to do, even though when we went up to her, she was eating behind the counter, we also brought food into hotel she seemed like it was the worst thing in the world and started trying to argue with us. if you’re staying in albufeira I would go anywhere else than this absolute nightmare of a hotel at this point I think it should just be demolished.

Firstly do not book city view rooms as it is facing the strip which is loud from 9-4 everyday. Rooms are clean but basic English TV channels which was a bonus. Large pools, crazy golf, rooms are dated. Breakfast was repetitive but selective. Would recommend if on a budget. If you lose your key card it is €5 Euro replacement. Please bring your own pool towels or buy one at the local supermarket as the hotel charges €25 for a towel. Limited lounges

A/C. quiet area. possibility to eat breakfast, meals and snacks. 12min walking to the beach and to a grocery store. friendly reception. a heated pool would be nice. no dish soap or dishwashing brush provided for cleaning the dishes. bed room cannot be very darkened. as the nearest minimarket is 12 min walking away (24min there and back), it would be nice to sell some basic food inside the hotel like packaged bread by a portuguese brand.

A nice apartment complex that is family friendly and not expensive. Some.issues with maintenance (air conditioning not working) but overall the standard of what is provided is very good for those who prefer self-catering. The restaurant is in the process of upgrading now and should be back in business by February 2024. Very helpful staff on the 24 hour reception.

Had such a lovely relaxing holiday here. Booked a standard 1 bed but they gave us a bigger apartment which was really big on two levels. Ten minutes walk to beach, and close to bus stops. The layout makes it great to stay by the pool all day, and bar and good food next to the pool. We loved the fact that they just let you enjoy your holiday and not in and out cleaning every day which is better for us.

Only complaint would be the beds are not that comfy but are not the worst. The room we was given was great. We had a 2 bed over 2 floors. And all the rooms were really big defo not short on space. Staff were really nice and helpful

We arived late at the evening to apart hotel. Met very friendly receptionist paid tourist tax and got our room. Room just for 2 people with self-catering clean enough with new cutlery. Nice sea view from the balcony. Had small table with two chairs on the balcony too. Beds located one under another had to pull out to install it same as first one. Room has safe box need to pay deposit. TV wasn't working as batteries needed to be changed. Over all good for few days stay

Upon our arrival at the apartment on Tuesday evening, we underwent a seemingly straightforward check-in process. However, the room we were allocated (room 29) was indicative of its price point. Our primary concern stems from the patio door's lack of security; it barely locks, necessitating us to carry our valuables with us at all times. While this may not be a significant issue for some, it's worth noting that room 29 is situated in the car park, easily accessible from the main road, and lacks adequate security measures. Furthermore, upon comparison with our friends' experience, we discovered inconsistencies between the hotel's assurances and the actual services provided. Despite our simultaneous arrival on Tuesday, the cleaning schedule differed. While we were informed that cleaning occurs every three days and thus did not expect service during our stay until Thursday, our friends received daily cleaning visits. Alarmingly, during one of these visits, our friends reported a substantial sum of money missing from their room. However, the response from the reception staff was disheartening. They brushed off the complaint, citing the hotel's trust in its employees, without offering any tangible assistance or investigation into the matter. I trust my dog but dismissing any suspicion of a missing sausage would be outrageous. Regrettably, the reception staff displayed a lack of interest and failed to take the complaint seriously. Consequently, our friends have been forced to involve local authorities, placing their trust in due process (ongoing). While we would consider staying at this establishment again, we strongly advise against leaving valuables hidden and unattended in the room. Especially money.

I stayed here from the 4th to 10th march 2024. I was sceptical looking at the reviews but I had a lovely stay here! This is a 3* hotel so please don't expect a 5* hotel. I stayed in room 40 a studio apartment. It had a great sea view, was very clean and tidy and had everything you would need for a few nights away. Yes it's a bit noisy, it's location is just by the the beach and not far from the strip so you would expect it to be a bit noisy. It's Albufeira - a beautiful place but expect noise if your staying is near the strip!. Staff here were friendly and accommodating. I had no problems and plan to stay here again when I next visit Albufeira.

DO NOT STAY HERE! If only I could give this hotel a 0 star I would. We had one of the "premium rooms" with a sea view but the room was so disgusting. The room was so smelly, the mirror was very dirty, the bedsheets had not been cleaned as there was dirt on them, the bed was on the floor, there was so much mould, the toilet had a poo stain on it, the balcony door was super dodgy as it would not open/close properly which was unsafe as the apartment next to us could easily get in. We ended up leaving and booking another hotel as this was unhygienic and unsafe. When asked for a refund they said that there is nothing wrong with the room when I clearly had pictures, they also said that they offered another room and we declined. This is due to our room being the best they had (sea view) - so imagine how much worse the other rooms would have been! They also said that we were the first people to complain about these issues, which was untrue, as I read the reviews afterwards and so many people have complained about the same issues numerous times! They completely ignored my messages after this which is very unprofessional and terrible customer service. In addition, due to our flight landing early we wanted to check in earlier but it wasn't possible so we left our baggage in their "luggage room" which had dirty sheets in there. The sheets looked like they had pee stains which was very unhygienic as they should have just thrown them away. Due to us being early we decided to freshen up in their toilets near the reception - ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING. Their toilets had pee on the floor, honestly felt so disgusted and unclean. There also isn't any elevators to get to the apartment, we had to carry our heavy luggage to our room up so many stairs with no help at all, we struggled so much. I want my refund and this hotel should not even be 3*, it should be CLOSED down!

My one bedroom apartment had a nice seaview and it was clean. Close to the beach, and the main strip if you into partying, its the place to be. The staff were helpful. The beds in the room needs to get modernized.

Our recent stay in Colina Village was great. You get everything you need... spacious villas, beautiful surroundings, space for activity (pool, tennis court, etc), nice food but most importantly very nice and helpful service whether at the reception or in the restaurant/bar. Ok, some facilities may need a little refreshment as they look a bit worn. But overall I would highly recommend it!

Very pleasant stay, you have pretty much everything you need. Restaurant food and breakfast is good. About a 20 minute walk to the beach or to the main part of town. One of our AC units didn't seem to work very well but no complaints other than that.

My family stayed here for a week in Aug 24. Such a beautiful place, staff are so friendly and helpful. Pool was fab. Bar food and restaurant where both fantastic although waiting times for food to come may frustrate anyone hungry!! We have a very spacious 3 bed 3 bathroom villa and it was well equipped. Beds not very comfy! My main complaint was the fact they say there is a mini market on site.......it sells bread and water and sun cream!!! Not what I would call a mini market 🙄

Our stay was okay. We booked for 9 days and the staff were amazing in the restaurant, we’d come back to a perfect temperature in the room, the only issue is the beds were uncomfortable as it was two singles pushed together. You could hear next door moving around which was so difficult when trying to sleep. Housekeeping would show up at random times and move everything of yours that was away neatly in a drawer. Location was quite secluded but could get an Uber for less than 5 euros. Heavily disappointed in the state of the rooms but the staff made the experience worthwhile.

The staff at check in was so sweet and very helpful! It really made a great first impression for me. The apartment was huge and came with everything I needed. The bed was a little hard for my liking but not bad at all, Ac worked fine. Only downside is that there was no wifi in the apartments at all which I found strange considering it’s 2024. That coupled with the fact that that it’s far away from the town was a bit of a downside for me.

Could do with refurb, fridge in a room, more electricity sockets and more light, breakfast choice is very minimal comparing other 3 star hotel. Location is great, nice views from balcony, area around hotel is also nice with parking on site.

The hotel offers what you can expect for the price. The rooms are okay with old furniture and the paint of the walls is a bit scrappy. The only way to close the doors is to slam it shut and with the super thin walls the whole floor can hear someone enter/leave the room... you can even hear a phone vibrate on the nightstand in the room next door - so for people with light sleep this hotel is gonna be a nightmare. There were breadcrumbs on the bed when we arrived which were cleaned the next day but the room was never fully "clean". The variety of the breakfast buffet is not the widest but for the price okay. The pool area is quite nice and hanging out there is enjoyable. Also the view to the castle is beautiful. TL:DR: For ~70€ for a triple room it's okay but I, personally, wouldn't pay a cent more.

This hotel was just perfect for us.. lovely pool area, staff are excellent and nothing seemed to be a problem.. we had to leave at 5 am for our flight, so we would miss breakfast.. they made a lovely packed breakfast, 2 filled morning rolls and fruit juice, and thoughtfully put in bottled water. It had been extremely hot, so this was a very kind thing to do.. We were extremely grateful. Thank you for a lovely stay. We can't wait to return ... the hotel has the most wonderful views.. and short walking distance to village .. 😃

A good, clean, attractive, basic hotel with the added bonuses of a small swimming pool and free parking. Nicely located just across the river from Silves town centre, with a view of the castle and in this case ideal for the Silves beer festival. Rooms fair size, reasonably well appointed although beds a little hard. Bathroom modern with very good shower, supplied toiletries very basic. Hotel is quite noisy overnight despite the quiet location, lots of movement from early hours amplified by thin walls, no insulation and tiled floors, barking dogs outside etc. Take earplugs. Breakfast buffet selection OK and plentiful other than watery juices and machine coffee. (For the price paid) a very good hotel.

We've had a great week, staff have been friendly, rooms are clean and just what you need for a base. Beds are comfy enough there plenty of room for a family. Pools are clean and have a very chilled atmosphere. I would say you'd definitely need a car in the heat of summer. Beaches are walkable, but it's a fair distance. Shops,bar and restaurant are all in walking distance. I would definitely come back.

This place even been booking via an app that covers everything, they charge at the check-in a certain amount to cover any possible damages. We rent a full apartment and for the first time it didn't has any commodities like a simple toilet soap to wash your hands, shampoo etc. If you want a iron again they will charge you 20 euros that they will give you back after returning the iron (they gave me a iron with missing parts). The strong smell of humidity it's nearly unbearable, special in the toilet. After travelling in a lot of different countries and stayed in a lot of different places, this is one was an ugly surprised.

Came here with my friends for a weekend to relax and relaxing it way. This house was extremely luxurious. Accommodates a large number of people and the quality of the build is great. Outdoor amenities are fantastic which includes a pool, hot tub, shower, hammock, sun loungers and ping-pong table. Great place to entertain and have fun!

Upon arrival I was met with an army of ants, the non stop rudeness from staff apart from Ruben a brilliant waiter really left me upset, the reception staffs attitude deplorable, the hotel requires a hefty deposit for simple items like towels and irons for single use, the pool is dirty, the lampshade in our room was broken upon arrival and could be considered hazardous for families, finally the bathrooms were dirty and clogged repeatedly, this hotel should not be booked by families, the beds were loud and uncomfortable and the AC was inconsistent at best. The balconies are small and cannot be used past 11, the keys are awkward and outdated which make getting to the room even harder. In conclusion i was sincerely dissatisfied with my stay

DONT BRING YOUR FAMILY HERE. This is perfect for young people on a cheap holiday. Rooms are very plain and covered in ants and other insects. Staff aren’t very welcoming, Rueben was very nice Sunshine doesn’t shine on the pools after 5pm and the pools are dirty and unpleasant. Food was nice and bar was ideal. Very loud place very good fun if your looking for a lads/ girls cheap holiday Drains get clogged easily bathroom is often flooded Need to get taxi everywhere , walking distance of nowhere

First time coming to choro mar apartments, we had a two bedroom apartment and found it was very big, plenty of room. I did find it to be a bit outdated. We paid for bed and breakfast, glad we did as nowhere near a cafe/restaurant. The breakfast is a basic menu, but it fills a gap. The service we got was good. If you are looking for a cheap holiday in the algarve and you don't mind a bit of a walk to find shops, cafe, bar then this is the place to stay.

The staff couldn’t be more pleasant and always on hand than they are. The deluxe room is absolutely gorgeous, very spacious and clean (daily). The included breakfast is a welcome plus: plenty of options to choose from all included in the room price. The surroundings are beautiful and it is so peaceful that you forget you are close to Quarteira’s beach front. A special thank you to the reception ladies who are extremely professional and kind. Thank you Vera for rearranging our stay and turn it into a time we won’t forget. Will definitely be back soon.

Although the hotel is at the rim of Quarteira about 3km from the beaches and town center we spent a nice time there. Especially thanks to the very good care and cleanliness of the personnel. Our room was quite old fashioned and will need a renovation to bring it up to current standards. Cabinets- and door -locks can be better, more modern as well as all plumbing like tap on the sink, sifon and showertap and showerhead. The hotel has a nice Swimmingpool and enough parking space. As there is no well organised public transport the hotel offers shuttle service into Quarteira. We, however, followed their advise and rented a car for the time we stayed there. It gave us the freedom to go where we want, whenever we want.

Rooms are a little outdated but I believe you can get nicer ones. The most special part of the hotel is the staff, they are so kind and welcoming. They help with anything you need and have great recommendations for local places to visit. They have a shuttle service to the nearby town which is driven by a lovely man. They have 2 pools one attached to the various/restaurant and another one more quieter which was lovely. They have all the usual amenities such as a tv, hair dryer and a safe. There was no mini fridge or kettle in our room and the hot water does take 10-15 minutes to turn on. The local community is lovely with a few restaurants in short distance including an aldi. It is extremely drivable but Bolt and Uber operate very cheaply and you can get to Faro for around 10€. It was a lovely stay and would go back but probably in a different type of room

I am here on a long stay and wanted to extend my stay because the hotel is lovely and the staff are excellent. I had a few issues with my stay and asked the director could I have a discount on my additional stay. The price he gave me was a joke, as the hotel web site says best price guaranteed. No discount for my issues and I got a much better price through a booking agent and the hotel has now to pay a booking agent a commission. The hotel has a lot of unused potential and I wondered why but it has a director that has a lot to learn.

Apartment: 1 double bed, 1 sofa bed. It was spacious. We were given a cot for free. Enough cutlery and cooking utensils, the only thing we would have liked was a peeler. Bathroom: great shower, 4 towels of each size, changed daily if needed. Minimal toiletries provided (I brought my own shampoo) We were facing the front entrance so we had 2 small balconies but they were good enough. The airing rack was a bit too small but if you face the pool they seemed bigger. Cleaning: quite minimal but enough for what we needed 2 small lifts, quite crowded at all times but there were more lifts through a corridor Pools: excellent, enough sunbeds, people are sensible and respectful of others. We would have liked more healthy options in the pool bar but I guess pizza and hot dogs are what people want :) So close to the beach, restaurants and small supermarkets. I would definitely recommend it!

Lovely hotel/Apartments. Staff are extremely helpful and friendly. Very close to the beach. Facilities such as the spa/Turkish baths Gym Sauna are must welcome and reasonably priced. The Bar/Pool staff are very accommodating and friendly. The cleanliness overall is a credit to the management and staff.

Stayed here for a week on a work trip recently. It was excellent. Good central location, close to beach and main strip. Easy walking distance to all local amenities. Near to supermarket too. Room was clean and well maintained and service was very good. Coffee in the bar downstairs was nice and very reasonably priced. Good range of entertainment in the games room too.

This is a lovely place. Contrary to some reviews, we found the staff so helpful and friendly. Nor were we asked for a security deposit!! Apartments have all you need, including an iron, microwave and clothes horse for drying clothes. There are three pools, a paddling pool, and then a proper pool, neither of which are too deep, plus a heated indoor swimming pool, complete with jacuzzi. Heaven. To walk to the old town is about 15 minutes downhill, but watch out as the pavements are really uneven and bumpy. No level paths anywhere. We used Uber and Bolt to get around as so cheap. Good supermarket in Albufeira Terrace shopping centre. But also the local supermarket at the end of the road to the apartment complex is well stocked, well run and very clean. The little cafe beside is also excellent value and delicious food. All in all Pateo Apartments may be classed as three stars, but it punches above its weight.

We went as a group of ten ladies for a hen party, and we’d read quite a few reviews that made us dread the reception we’d receive upon arrival but the staff couldn’t have been more friendly. We arrived earlier than anticipated so our rooms weren’t ready, but we were directed to a luggage storage room and advised that we could wait at the pool bar. They did take a £100 deposit from each of us but we got this back with absolutely no issues at the end of the holiday. I would go back here in a heartbeat, lovely clean spacious rooms, friendly staff, plenty of sunbeds around the pool and affordable (and strong) drinks. Food was also good prices and very tasty.

Avoid avoid..... Turned up early hours to find we had to hand over 100 euros in cash per person. We were 7 ladies celebrating 50th birthday. There was no flexibility to discuss in the morning with manger. Disappointed as the place was lovely. Rooms very basic but ok. 20 min walk from the atmosphere. Bars. And beach. 7 euros for taxi.

+ Nice location to travel around + Cheap (for us like 40€ / night) + Beds are okay if u like it a bit hard +/- mostly friendly staff but a smile could make things a little better - horrible wifi, close to non existent. Complaint ignored. - bad cleaning. Checked in with hairs and dirt. Complaint ignored "cleaning only after 2 days". But even then it won't get good cleaning. Still dirt all around. They don't care. - no cleaning utilities provided - no dish cleaning utilities provided. Needed to buy dish soap and sponge in the Hotel Shop. No dish towels. - moldy windows - moldy bathtub curtain - no lock on the safe - not suitable for light sensible people to sleep because the curtains won't cover much. - furniture worn out and "old smell" - refrigerator and stove not adjusted to sit even - doors inside the apartment don't close - toilet exhaust don't work Everything is just so worn out and old, no one cares. With just TINY investment like give dish soap, clean properly, repair things like furniture and door handles can make a HUGE difference to the guest and does not even cost that much. So much wasted potential... And fix the damn Wi-Fi !!! No Internet connection because you cheap out on repeater is so bad.... telling me to go to the lobby when I need Internet is close to be outrageous In this state, can't recommend and would not come back. Sorry.

Great place. Nobody asked for a deposit as stated in one of the reviews. Check in was fast and before 3pm as the flat was ready. We had a ground floor apartment. Lots of space inside, kitchen is fully equipped, including microwave, toaster, coffe maker, fridge and cooker with pans and pots. Everything you need to cook any meals. Dryer outside on the patio, extra blankets, towels, soap, bath wash and shower gel, hair dryer and bidet. Cleaning service coming every 2 days. Indoor pool and jacuzzi were warm and clean. Small internal shop with goodies, free parking space. We picked self catering option but you may choose eating in. Great place, I would highly recommend, great value for money, lovely service. There was some work to improve exteriors and to make it nice for the summer.

Came here the end of march on half board basis with jet2. Before getting there was advised that they were renovating a couple of rooms but wouldn't be near them which was true. Was in one of the renovated rooms. They are quite big and i had a lovely view of the pool. The food was lovely. You got a daily menu which you choose from . You can also order a main course from the hotel menu and get a discount if you prefer. The bar was good. In the evening they discount the drinks. There is live football on. There are a couple of bars a few minutes walk away. The tourist train also stops outside. The weather was really warm. The staff were excellent. Special thanks to the receptionist who dropped me back to the hotel when he saw i was lost 😁

If your looking for a place for 1 night then this can be an option. However it is very outdated, and the building is in a completely different location to where you check in, which was slightly confusing. Apartment did not feel very safe inside with super light and flimsy front door. Despite this, was very clean.

We had a fantastic room and the kitchen was generally stocked for and good cook. Absolutely stunning (room 19) was a treat for us budget traveler’s. Just know you are responsible for disposing of rubbish at the front near reception. We picked this place because of the free shuttle (minivan) to vilamoura beach and marina and had a mini market near by on site. Will be back if I can get my hands on that room again. Great value for money breakfast offer but early is best.

Booked through Jet2 for June '24. All pictures were of two beds but we were given a double bedded room so disappointed. They were unable to change the room. The bed was ok, fairly hard and was improved by putting a blanket and 'duvet' under the mattress protector and sheet. It was fairly rickety and creaked on movement. The pillows were smallish and a little lumpy. There were a good number of hangers in the wardrobe. The bedroom and bathroom were small while the sitting area was large. The kitchen had everything we needed and was fairly well equipped even with an oven but there were no oven gloves. The balcony was a good size with standard furniture but got very little sun. There were no mugs (we bought 2) but just small cups and some that were barely more than thimble sized (for the typical Portuguese coffee). Towels and bedding seemed to be changed at random. Although the noise around wasn't excessive, there was noise... gardeners, building work, occupants in nearby rooms, doors opening and closing etc and often between 10pm and 8am when it's supposed to be quiet. The one meal we ate in the restaurant was very good and not too expensive. There was a TV but few English channels. The small welcome package was nice.. coffee, tea and milk. The shower worked well. The bathroom door could bang against anyone sat on the loo if it was pushed open as the bathroom was so small. The best thing was the pool and surrounding area...a large pool about 20m long and 2.5 m deep at one end and surrounded by grass with trees and bushes. Still plenty of sunny areas and sufficient sunbeds for everyone. The area it is in seems to be devoid of local residents.... purely for tourists, and there are few local shops. A free bus between the hotel and beach and marina area goes 3 times a day. The walk to the beach is about 1.5 miles but is on the flat.

Old fashioned but had what we needed, however we had cockroaches, ants and mosquitos to deal with. Drains didn't drain properly and towards the end of the holiday smelt pretty bad. Reception staff really good however one of the guys at the pool bar seemed annoyed when you ordered food and we had over half an hour wait for cheese toasties. There was only one other table in there...

We stayed there for a week and we had no complaints. We had a 2 bedroom apartment which was really nice. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. The staff were extremely friendly. I would definitely go back there.

I have been here twice. It’s an apartment with basic accommodation, so don’t be expecting a lift. But it is roomy and within walking distance from the town and supermarket. Also don’t leave food out for the cockroaches! (Second experience)

My review is after a 10 day stay at the accommodation. My stay was set out to be basic as I didn't plan on spending much time in the rooms. My room was nicely furnished with draws and cupboards and wardrobes and a dining table. Beds were a little uncomfortable for me, but again, I wanted basic, so I'm not complaining. For me, it was perfect for what I wanted. 15 Euro deposit for safe key. Nice balcony with table and chairs Appliances. Kettle Toaster Combi grill microwave Oven and grill Toilet, shower. Assortment glasses mugs and plates cutlery. Friendly staff on reception that is 24hrs large complex with pool areas, bathing loungers, umbrellas. Pool has deep and shallow end and a separate child pool good for non swimmers. The pool bar is good for snacks, drinks, ice coffees,smoothies,beer wines, cocktails, and soft drinks. It's a very nice, strong coffee. I was self-catering, so I ate out most of the time, but the complex has a restaurant and pool bar. Euro or card payments. Well kept gardens with beautiful shrubberies. The facility is around 20 mins, of walks in different directions to the local beaches. Spar shop on site offers small items. Large supermarket open till late around 10 minutes walk. Very good complex with friendly staff. Well, it's worth a stay if looking for a relaxing break.

Apartment I stayed in was lovely, cleanish. One thing I didn’t like is the lack of washing up liquid and other small bits for every day living. After all your on holidays and you don’t want to be buying stuff like that. I personally think stuff like that should be included. Little bit of update would be nice, for example new shower head. Over all place is amazing, they are to ways to the beach shops are close by too, one thing I wouldn’t recommend is their spar..

Rooms were okay with the air condition, location is perfect right in the middle of the old town. However, bar service was horrible, there was a lady named Carina I guess (short hair) on the rooftop bar. Really rude and misbehaved, I mean how you treat people and talk to them can really make their mood or spoil it. I guess, she doesn't like the work she is doing may be but still should treat people good. May be she needs a good etiquette and behavior training or check with her why is she unhappy and showing that attitudes to the guest also.

Downsides: - super small rooms - if you book a double bed, it’s actually two twins beds next to each other, with a gap in between. The mattress quality is bad. Good luck getting a good sleep. - the bathroom has no vent, so it’s super humid. So humid that even your towels don’t dry overnight - those TVs are sooooo small - must do a tremendous amount of effort in improving the cleaning quality- it was dusty just as we entered the room; the carpet was iron burnt - no soap or shampoo! What the hell! Just shower gel - the water in the bathroom has issues draining properly - I booked at a discounted price, I had proof of that and I explained to the manager about the payment issues on the website. She found all type of reasons not to refund me “oh, this is for next booking”- no, it’s not, the discount code was clearly activated and the discounted amount is shown. Then she goes “oh you did not activate the coupon code”- yea, I did, I have a screenshot of that. I had to dispute my payment to get my money back. I don’t understand how these kind of people are in managerial roles - the jacuzzi and the rooftop bar close at 8! The sun is still up at 8 😂 - no power socket next to the bed. Good ones: Great location, close to the beach and restaurants. They offer a room where you can drop your luggage once you checked out. What’s great about the luggage room is the fact that it comes with a shower, so you can spend the rest of your hours to the beach after check out time. The receptionists are nice, friendly, always greet you when they see you, super helpful. The rooftop bar is great. Nice views, great drinks, great staff.

Been waiting on an explanation for a year and now no response from the Hotel. I left my watch there when i stayed last June, i followed up when i realised and the hotel confirmed that they had the watch in lost property. They confirmed in September when i went back to Portugal to collect that it had 'gone missing from their locked drawer at the desk at reception. As a result, they would investigate and revert on the outcome of finding the watch or offering me compensation. They now will not reply to me via email on this matter. 11 months this has been going on after they confirmed they would hold the watch until i could fly over to collect. Awful service from a loyal customer who stays many times per year.

I'll start with the positives about this hotel: Service was absolutely fantastic. Everybody from the receptionists, waiters, the bar keepers, the housekeeping ladies, really everyone was polite, helpful, friendly and honestly happy to have us as their guests. Breakfast was excellent. The trays were always stocked, quite a few options of bread, fruit, warm dishes and pastries. Also many different types of milk including vegan options. The breakfast room was tidy and each table was immediately cleaned and set up ready for the next guest. Location: although not exactly at the beach, it is just a 200 m stroll and we could see the ocean from our balcony. Laundry, pharmacy, grocery stores, bakeries and restaurants are in walking distance. Rooms: The rooms are a bit dated, however, the beds were fantastic. Can't remember the last hotel I slept this good waking up without back pain. Extra points for cleanliness and more extra points for the housekeeping ladies, who were more than willing to adjust their schedule for room service to meet my husbands workation needs. Pool: Is ok, but this area could benefit from a little TLC. Wi-Fi Service: This is probably an issue in most hotels: it's not able to cope with many guests connecting at the same time. I'm sure guests working while in Monte Gordo would pay extra for fast speed internet. All in all a very good 3 Star hotel with some room for improvement. We will definitely come back for our next running training camp.

We stayed for a week. The rooms are smallish and lack things like coffee maker, microwave, fridge. At our request they very nicely supplied a small fridge. The hotel is dated for sure but in good condition overall. The common areas show a bit of wear but I’ve seldom been a hotel that doesn’t, even nearly new ones. The staff were all wonderful to help us, especially Anna at the reception desk. She’s incredible. The breakfast was certainly better than a lot of hotels would offer with cold cereals, meats, cheeses, breads, fruits, pastry, hot eggs, meats, etc. Four stars only because of lack of room amenities. We like to self-cater so require more appliances.

Upon entering the Hotel, we were met with a very charming receptionist called Marta, she is a credit to your business. Enjoyed using rooftop pool, room was nice enough, one day there might be one English tv channel. Breakfast was first class, well done.

I enjoyed a lovely stay at the hotel. The room was spacious and clean with a mini bridge and plenty of storage. The swimming pool is refreshing but right next to a slightly busy road which was annoying at times. It is located a 10 minute walking distance from the strip so perfect for night outs. The receptionists were professional and polite. There is also a restaurant for food and drinks which is convenient.

My partner and I had a four night stay here. The staff were really keen to help and serve us as we had breakfast each morning. The location was good for walking to both the old town and the strip, but far enough away from the noise of the bars and clubs, however the road was quite noisy with fast cars through the night. The lack of fridge or tea/coffee making facilities in the room was disappointing but other than that our room (302) was separate from the main building with direct access to the terrace that’s next to the communal sitting area by reception which was a nice addition of privacy. Overall a pleasant stay and would recommend for couples and friends.

me and my boyfriend stayed here in the middle of may and it was honestly amazing, the lady at the front desk was lovely and seemed like she was doing everything. The room was lovely and the cleaners came every morning and were friendly as well. Great location 5 mins from the strip and 15 mins from the old town but wasn't noisy at all. We didn't try any food but they only accept cash for drinks.. I would definitely stay here again!!

Basic hotel with basic rooms ideal base in a great location. Ideal for the strip, restaurants, bars and supermarkets. 10 mins walk to the beach. Everything you need in a room with basic kitchen utensils and appliances it is in need of updating but is clean. It is cleaned regularly with fresh towels every couple of days but bedding seems to be once a week. The pool area is also clean and well kept. You get what you pay for the location is worth every penny with great bus connections to the old town.

Decent hotel to be fair, well looked after, reasonably clean buildings wise, although the rooms are showing signs of needing some attention. Our kitchen had a cooker, fridge & microwave none of which were very clean & no cleaning equipment is left to use, surprising really as the room service doesn’t include cleaning! The first floor toilet was so small, we didn’t even know there was a toilet in there as the door blocks it off unless you shut it fully, meaning you were squashed against the wall & the door, definitely a large person would struggle to get in it. Upstairs shower room was a basic shower over a bath, that was a bit grimey, toilet & sink was fine. Our apartment was towards the back of the complex nothing scenic to look at, only the front of the other apartments. The pool area is good, the water was cleaned remotely pretty much daily. Jacuzzi & indoor pool were good too. The bar for drinks & food is fairly small but good enough during our visit as the hotel was not very busy. The location is good & is set back from the main road, we found it very quiet during the night & day tbh. The reception staff (we only saw 2 people) were a bit miserable & didn’t exactly go overboard with the welcoming! Also be aware they require €100 per person, retuned when you check out, after your apartment has been check over by a staff member! In summary, it’s worthy of its 3 star rating, if the apartments were modernised & cleaner I’m sure it would be entitled to even 4 stars.

Stayed here for 2 nights in January 2024. A great accommodation at great value, in close proximity to Albufeira and Oura, but is quiet and peaceful (at least in January it was anyway). Staff in reception were friendly, no problems helping me out with questions I may have had. I would definitely recommend booking a One Bedroom Apartment rather than a Studio.

It's a nice,clean hotel,with beaches close by. What was frustrating-there is bad sound isolation, you will hear everything what's going on in a hallway,specially toom cleaning service,and alarms of phones of your neighbours, so be ready to awake earlier than you would love to.

My boyfriend and I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. The location is really convenient - it seems to be on the main walking path with all the bars and restaurants. Our room was on the top floor which offered some nice views but we couldn't get a good night's sleep due to a constant static noise coming from somewhere. Also, the air con didn't really work making the room really hot. The interior was pretty outdated but it was clean. The breakfast was okay, especially if you want hot, cooked breakfast. The selection of cold items was very limited with only basic cheese, ham, tomato and cucumber to choose from which was disappointing. Cereal and fruit were also served. Coffee was not great. There is a limited parking on site but it's on a first served basis and we couldn't get a space. There is free parking available on nearby streets. Overall, I would not stay again.

EXTEMELY POOR VALUE FOR THE PRICE Rooms are nice, decent size and clean but it’s super basic. No kettle (we were refused one even after requesting it again and again on both nights of our stay) no hair dryer (take an extra €20 deposit), no toiletries after charging €140 per night! . They even ask you to reserve a breakfast slot and you must arrive in that slot only. Breakfast is okay, nothing great but not too bad either. Staff are polite but the facilities are BASIC. €140/night is a premium price in a place like Algarve and the hotel does not even provide the basic amenities you would expect at that price for a 3-star hotel. Suggest staying elsewhere…

What a beautiful facility,great spot,clean and spotless. Local shop just across the road to get bits for self catering. Intermarche was about a 15 mins walk which is well worth the walk just for the fish counter💕 The rooms were spacious and modern. The restaurant was within walking distance and staff always greeted you with a smile and warm welcome. They graciously moved us from our original room as it was upstairs and I had a bad knee so they upgraded us to a studio 1 bedroom apartment,so thankyou so much. We had booked breakfast so this was fresh every day,plenty of choice,more a European taste than English which actually was a welcomed change. Appartments lovely clean and spacious had to wait a long time from we arrived to get settled in to Appartments which lost us a whole day I think time-limit should change as we vacated room on departure at 6 o clock in morning also r sofa was made up for 3rd person as a bed which meant we had no relaxing place to sit for 3 persons

Avoid. They will lie and lie to you again. There is no warning or info about restricted hot water. We had hot water for 2 minutes in the evening only and 2 minutes in the morning, thats it, and not just us, other guests too which we talked to at breakfast. Misinformed and lied by staff about this situation, been told its due to draught in the Algarve and another staff saying its how the system works there is only 30L of hot water before boiler needs to recharge. Both were not right, we couldn't take even one full shower (5-minutes). Other negatives: difficult to find the room, hard uncomfortable beds, no extra blankets in the room in cold season, no bin in the room, provided a smelly dirty extra duvet on request, doors were hard to close, room phone didn't work, hard to find reception number, poor breakfast: very bad coffee and food was lacking.

Good place in general, swimming pools were lovely! Apartment was spacious with almost full kitchenette which was completely fine. We found that the beds were a little hard but nothing we didn't get used to after a week there. They have cleaners come daily to your apartments, I thought this was great but then the floors never seemed to have been brushed or mopped. But either way didn't bother us too much. We didn't eat at the restaurant here as it was just pizza or pasta and breakfast is just continental with eggs, beans and Sausages as optional extras. Alright hotel, located about a 20 minute walk from town and 15 minute walk to a large beach with bars. Would stay here again as generally everything was good.

The place is wonderful. The flat was spacious (2 bedrooms 2 bathrooms) and well equipped. There was a balcony and beds are comfortable. There's a well priced restaurant on site by the pool. The pool is much bigger than the picture and well maintained. There's enough loungers for everyone in sun or shade. Very peaceful and relaxing. No loud crowd around. Also a pool table and ping pong near the pool. Easy access to the beach and shops within walking distance (or 4.5 euro by taxi ). It's a brilliant place. Only improvement could be WiFi and TV but we were not there for that.

We had ten days here and it was great value to money. Large suite with super large balcony that got sun at any time of day. Great restaurant with peri peri chicken my favourite. Lovely lad Gabriel who manned the bar with Ola Mar who was very helpful. Superb pool. Beaches around 15 minute walk but all bays so very child/swim friendly. 20 minutes to the town but other restaurants nearby plus a Super Marche at the top of the hill (7 minute walk).

May 2023. Very good value for money. We had the two bedroom, two bathroom apartment, overlooking the green area of the 5 star hotel. The room was on a self catering basis with a large supermarket only a five minute walk away. The beach, in a small pretty cove was only a twenty minute walk away. The apartment had good sized rooms with a large balcony and roof terrace. If you want a quieter, restful break with lots of walking routes around the coast , it is an ideal location. The pool areas have been recently renovated and the apartment recently refreshed. Ok, so there is a lot of brown flooring, tiles and woodwork, but this is Portugal. Out of season this is lovely place for a break and each apartment had a car parking space built into the design. There were eating places on the road with the supermarket and it was about a thirty five minute walk either way to a small town.

Don't go by the photos, the studio we were allocated was nothing like them. It was clean and housekeeping came from Monday to Friday but not at weekends. However there was no oven, so cooking was limited. The lack of plugs in the kitchen meant not more than 2 appliances could be used at the time. Utensils etc were of poor quality eg. blunt knives, no small spoons. The bathroom was clean but no grab bars by the over bath shower meant slipping was always a possibility. There was only one mirror in the whole place (over the bathroom sink) and that was cracked. No hairdryer which was surprising as most places provide one. The beds were rather lumpy. The whole place looks tired and doesn't appear to have kept up with modernisation. Also be warned, the shop is closed and unless you are reasonably fit, the walk to either the beach ( average 5euro taxi) or the supermarket isn't doable for anyone with mobility problems. Having said all that, the owner was very friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant was very nice and reasonably priced. The view over the gardens (not part of the same complex ) from the balcony was very pleasant while eating breakfast. All in an interesting place, but we won't be back.

Good value for money. In case you can ignore the dated furniture and hard beds you will get a nice place with very nice dinner options. We have been there twice and the hosts have never let us down. The place is clean, roomy, spacious, close to the ocean and there are renovated and chic studios apartments too (renovated bathroom etc. depending on where you are). The beds are a tad hard though, but this is as is in Portugal. Owner is very friendly and always very helpful in case you need day/ trip planning. They give good advice and they are really there to please you and make your stay as good as possible. Their restaurant is the best I have been in this area. We have eaten different dishes and the cook never let us down. It was all delicious! Because of their service I give this 5 stars.

I am approaching the end of my 2 week family holiday here and I think this place deserves more than 3 stars. With stunning views, excellent staff, fantastic food and being situated a stone throw away from the beach, there is very little more that any holiday maker could ask for. I came accompanied with my elderly parents and the place has far exceeded all of our expectations. The rooms are clean, the poolside is comfortable and there is something here for everyone. This is my first time visiting Portugal and the hospitality is impressive. I will return home happy, with great memories and a longing to return.

Excellent location for cheap & cheerful last minute getaway...one street back from the beach. Large top floor room with sea view...very clean. Breakfast was included & this included hot & cold food with an array of fresh fruit. Beaches are gorgeous...we walked into Vilamoura marina, which is a good 50 min walk but lovely, as you just amble along the street/prom/beach, stopping off on the way.

Good location, close to Beach (10 min walk) and The Strip if that is your thing. The Apartment is a little dated but absolutely spotless, cleaned daily with regular towel changes etc. apartment is kept really well. Pool is great, nice atmosphere and they do remove towels that are left on sun loungers early in the morning. Staff overall are good . However, this is not suited for families. We traveled with our teenage daughters and it is noisy at night, lots of noise on balconies until well after midnight and parties starting at 3:00 & 4:00 in the morning. While staff did say ring reception if this happens, to me the implication is if you don’t complain the noise is ok !! Some of the noise was people coming and going at all hours rather than specific rooms. This is a good spot, but just know what to expect. We won’t be returning, more suited to younger groups.

Rooms are a bit dated although the bed was so comfortable. Kitchen fully equipped even had a washing machine. The pool had lots of kids playing with inflatables which was annoying but the area was clean and well laid out. It was situated well in the new area of Albufeira not far from restaurants and bars quite near the strip. The staff are wonderful especially Luis and Katarina.

And the living room the pool had far too many chemicals in it compared prepared to Aqua land and zooMarie waited forever in the café every time we went except from wants would never be coming back close is in the middle of nowhere you need to get taxis everywhere and there was nothing really to do in the area also there was only five bed three of them are in the same room which I find a bit weird

We have came here for 4 days in the month of March. The check in was smooth, though we have checked in bit late 10:30 pm . We liked the apartment, it was spacious with balcony and sea view. Everything was there in the kitchen as needed. Only dishwashing liquid was not there. But that's okay. We loved our stay it was so peaceful may be because we have travelled in March. There is a restaurant but it was not open . The beaches are nearby , you can go by walk. Or by car also you can go there is a parking very near to the beach. The supermarket is very near by. So the location is absolutely perfect for us. We loved to stay here, definitely recommend it.

What a great decision the playground to be next to the kids swimming pool.Wide and clean room with everything that you need.So quite,you can hear only the birds.We had unforgettable and lovely memories there.The paella was very delicious as well!

Me and a few of my friends arrived and got hassled by staff from the get go. Looking for any excuse to take money out of deposits. Constantly getting stared at by staff if we talked slightly loud or laughed. No music, no ball games, and we overall just felt like we were not welcome simply because they seen a group of lads looking to have a bit of a laugh. We were respectful and quiet compared to other guests at the hotel but we seemed to get shouted at every day for something. Staff was rude and the old man who owns it would literally just start staring at us for no reason. Quite a hostile environment. And to top it all off on our last day our flights weren’t to late that night so they allowed us to leave our bags in the hotel to only then ten minutes later say we were no longer allowed in the hotel and we had to take our bags with us. Absolute joke and they were very aggressive telling us to leave. “We have no place for people like you” that is exactly what they said. A nice spot in a good area ruined by ignorant staff. Will 100% not be back. Any younger lads going over with friends stay well clear I’ve never experienced ignorance like it. Also there was a couple who checked out the same morning as us but they were allowed to stay by the pool and keep they’re bags in hotel but we for some reason were not.

Absolutely insane value for money. Had very reasonable expectations of this hotel as you cant expect the world considering how cheap it is but my group all said it surpasses their expectations. The pool area is lovely and the hotel is decorated very nicely. Location spot on and the staff are also lovely.

Our first time here in Portugal and we decided to stay at the Balaia Sol Holiday Club which unfortunately wasn't a very impressive stay. First of all the rooms are small, some reviews have stated that they are spacious but not in the room we stayed in it kind of resembled a prison cell. Secondly the room came with air conditioning which barely even blew a breeze let alone cool the room down so we had to endure 27 degrees of warmth when trying to sleep, the beds are basic singles which are not comfortable to sleep on, I would find that my pillows would fall off the bed in the night so I constantly had to keep picking them back up. The biggest con in this hotel was the problem with cockroaches, I woke up early in the morning only to find 1 on my bed and another on the wall at the side of me which made me not want to go back to sleep incase more of them appeared. The people staying in the apartment at the side of us also had the same problem spending almost an hour trying to kill them. The bathroom was small, toilet seat didn't go down all the way and the shower was placed in the middle of the wall rather then on top so it was difficult to wash your hair. The only positive I can say is that the hotel is nice and quiet so you won't have problems with noise as they don't allow it, they don't play music by the pool side during the day which is kinda boring. Portugal on the other hand is amazing, the hotel not so much so we won't be returning.

This place is an absolute kip, you cant even have a chat on the balcony after 10 without getting a noise complaint, staff are very unfriendly, not to mention the fact that we seen RATs go into our ground floor appartment. Do not waste your time staying here unless your an old person. Silchoro appartments way better.

Hotel is quite far from anywhere but overall the hotel is lovely , very clean , polite staff and very friendly. Food and drinks are cheap . Myself and partner was in the apartment other side of the swimming pool and was very impressed. They had a good selection of food and drinks in the bar area. There is a snack bar jus around the corner of the hotel and a mini supermarket less than 5 minutes from the hotel .

We came back with Weds this week and was disappointed with the complex for this.The beach is amazing and there are some amazing restaurants..Primmadonna and Bellavita are well worth it ..

Stayed at the bayside Salgados from the 13th to the 21st of June. We arrived at midnight, (late flight) and the place was in darkeness. A security gaurd appeared eventually and showed us to our apartment. You have to go up a tiny spiral staircase to room and would feel sorry for anyone with even a slight disability trying to get a suitcase up, and would have been unable to complain as nobody on desk. Nobody on rwception after 5pm everyday. Room was very basic, we opted for one room apartment. There was no sockets in the bedroom, only one light working over the bed, and tv not working, there wasnt even breakfast bpwels. Balcony was large. When we complained about TV, nobody ever came to fix it. We woke up to ants all over rhe kitchen sink and counter, informed desk again nothing was done. Breakfast was tasty but very minimal. There was no dinner service just snakes available, also there was zero entertainment. Bolt ride €6 to old town thankfully. Was very disapointed, and unfortinatley can not recommed this place. Sheets on beds werw not changed the whole week, if you want a towel for sun lounger its €10 deposit, and €1 if you it want a fresh one dailey. STAY AWAY.

Beautiful holiday village with numerous pools, bars, restaurants and even a well stocked shop. Great for tourists if your looking for a relaxing holiday abroad. Location is close to Faro airport so easy access with Uber and walkable to the marina or beaches for days out. All of the staff at receptions and working the pools are really nice too. Reception has information on local days out/things to do such as waterparks, aquariums or a tourist land train. This place is definitely family friendly and has a really safe feel. Lots of children enjoying the pools and even some play equipment dotted around the village. However, I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for a more authentic trip to Portugal. Most tourists here are English and it's spoken perfectly by staff (the pool side speaker also constantly plays English pop music). The restaurants mainly sell foods like pizzas and burgers as well as even a full English breakfast in the mornings. This of course is not a bad thing at all, but not representative of authentic Portugal. Overall this could either be the perfect holiday destination for you or the complete opposite of what your looking for. If you want to experience sunny weather, refreshing pools and happy hour drinks without the stress of language barriers or the worry of leaving behind home comforts like English cuisine - booking a trip away here would be perfect for you. But if you are looking to experience the real Portuguese culture and lifestyle I would consider other places, this place would definitely feel like a slice of England just moved abroad into sunnier weather. Even outside of the holiday village (into Vilamoura) finding authentic Portuguese restaurants/food has proved challenging and again there is a very "England if we had better weather" kind of vibe. Not to say the surrounding area isn't stunning, because it is but definitely just lacks authenticity due to the nature of the people who visit here.

The fact that you have to pay for the sun beds at the pool is ridiculous. It costs enough to stay for a week & to pay extra for lounging by the pool left a sour taste in our mouths. If we knew this information before we booked we would have picked a different complex.

Absolutely stunning village, pools are clean and staff are great. Happy hour is amazing value and if you want to go around the bars it's pretty much 10am -9pm. At time of writing €2.20 for a pint of San Miguel. The supermarket on site is a decent price and there are Spars within 10mins walk anyway. Very close to the marina, you can be there in 15mins walking or use the train which is €5 return and tours the local area too and is lovely.

It was a bit of a walk to things such as the main road, reception area, etc. Service is incredible! The staff are amazing, and I loved every minute of our holiday. There were lots of options for food near the place and a great variety of pools and beaches. Overall an amazing experience. We loved it so much we came back this year again!

Stayed a week in Alfagar village in a 2 bed garden view apt 2 adults 1 toddler in block 2 overlooking the steps down to the Beach. First time visit and was really impressed. Staff all so friendly and helpful. We did half board and found the choices at breakfast and dinners to be plentiful and the dinners had good variety each night. Choice of pools was fantastic, kids shallow pools and slides were the highlight, and the splash park over the road is worth a visit to too. The short steps down to the beach was ideal too. Gardens well maintained and just a nice resort to walk around. Mini market well stocked but an Uber to Aldi is only €3-4 each way for more choice. Only negative is my parents had a 1 bed garden view apt and their living area and bedroom was much bigger than our 2 bed so it was a bit disappointing to see that as felt our living area could have been more spacious. Apartments clean and well equipped but maybe need a wee touch up. Would definitely come back though!

Was upgraded to Pelican Alvor from another hotel, and was not disappointed! The staff went above and beyond to make our stay a pleasure! Lovely and tranquil, peaceful hotel, not overcrowded. Beautiful outdoor area, nice pool and it's area. Nice breakfast buffet. The apartment is clean and nice, with all the necessary furniture and nice terrace, overlooking the garden and the swimming pool and it has a sea view as well. Our air conditioning was very quiet.

Just back from a 10 night stay at Pelican. Straight off, the staff do an excellent job at representing the hotel. They are friendly and efficient. We stayed in the 2 bed penthouse suite. The apartment was big and spacious. With a good level of furnishings. We over looked the pool and had sea views. Location is good.. it is about a 10 minute walk to the pubs and restaurants in Alvor. Some negatives we have is that while the penthouses advertise, on some sites, that they have a outdoor hottub these in fact are non operational and in truth left in a terrible state. The cover on ours is there years and had rotted through and left it very unsightly, so much so it put me off using the terrace. There's a jacuzzi bath, again non operational. The main air con unit was extremely noisy and is placed outside 4ft away from the head of the main bed. I was worried about disturbing the neighbours at night when it was on. Overall it was a very pleasant stay but with a few obvious fixes it would have been even better.

Shame they stopped serving food by the pool or allowing food by the pool. Would be useful to have drying hooks, more power outlets in the room, and a 2nd key for rooms with more than 1 person. 10 mins walk to Alvor town centre which is cute, and plenty of free hotel parking.

Had an amazing stay at the Pelican Alvor. The apartment was big and very comfortable, and the view from the balcony was amazing. The garden was beautiful and well maintained, and the swimming pool was massive. The staff were very helpful and accommodating of every request, and were able to make excellent suggestions for trips and places to visit. The hotel itself is very close to local supermarkets and it’s a short walk to the town of alvor itself. I would definitely recommend this place, and hope to visit it again soon.

So clean not sure why it’s a 3 star but it was great. You get breakfast included, it’s just basic continental but that’s really all you need. Pool was so clean and lovely to have your morning swim. Rooms were spacious and have a large shower with nice LED lighting. It is a little far out from town but if you have a rental car your sorted, you can walk however it’s around 30 mins walk.

Honestly shocked at the price we paid for this. We were not in the main building but one adjacent. The room was very basic and tired. No air con, beds very uncomfortable. Toilet seat wasn't attached and kept falling off. Tap kept on coming off the shower. Maybe the rooms in the main building are better? Nothing really around the area except an Aldi. Unless you are paying next to nothing, I wouldn't recommend it.

I have just got to this hotel today and it isn’t very great for what I have paid. When paying a lot of money for a hotel you expect it to be clean and nice for you. If you don’t want to have to deep clean the hotel room on your first day I definitely wouldn’t book this hotel. Upon arrival into our room there was holes in the bedding and in the curtains like some sort of bug has been biting them. The bath was manky stained with tan I personally bought cleaning products from a shop nearby and cleaned the hotel room myself as it looks like it hasn’t been cleaned. Not good for couples neither as they only have single beds and no double beds.

There is no WiFi in the room, there were bugs, and the bed sheets are too hard and uncomfortable. The bathroom is very dirty and wet even before we used it.

Stayed here for 3 nights as a group of 3 girls. The location is great although a car or taxi is needed if you want to visit albufeira strip or old town. My room view was someone's caravan which i found the funny side of but id request a better view. The apartment is brand new as pictured, but unfortunately there are still ongoing works along the corridors. The apartment is well equipped but unfortunately the shower runs off a water tank so by the time the first person had washed their hair it turned luke warm, by the third - it was cold. The receptionist told us that the breakfast was full english, Bacon & Sausages. It is not, basic continental & when queried I was offered hot dogs. Maybe I would stay again as the room was nice but I would not pay peak season prices.

Just spent a week here, and it was a lovely apartment. It looks like it had a refit very modern. I would stay again a couple of things for me that need addressing to improve the stay air con is rubbish and the pool is cold could do with being heated, and I think it would be nice for a welcome pack ie coffee ,tea,milk our flight got in very late but it looks like most flights from UK do and the shops here close at 9pm so no chance of getting anything till the morning.

Very nice hotel right next to the beach, staff are attentive and cleaning staff are always friendly. Bar downstairs is very cheap as well as a pool table, tables, and a reading corner with TVs. Rooms are tidy and cleaned every day. The pool sometimes gets a little loud but nothing you can't handle. Open the windows for a nice breeze and the air conditioning on summer 30 is the coldest

Shower head broken and bodywash containers empty. Breakfast not available regularly. Bottom floor rooms more updated, but if you are located by car park, it is noisy, especially with workers coming and going. Pool was clean and very nice.

Aparthotel has its own car park which you gain entry to with a code number do its only guests who park in there.

Amazing hotel apartments. We stayed for a week at the end of September and couldn’t fault it. When we checked in the staff were super friendly and explained everything to us. Bar staff were friendly and made us feel very welcome, nothing was too much trouble. The room was cleaned everyday. In a great location close to local bars, shops and restaurants and the pool area was brilliant. Will definitely be back!

Jose and Paula so friendly and go that one step further to assist you with anything🙂 Lady at bar so friendly and always smiling. Rooms cleaned everyday, cleaners again always smiling. Could not find a fault with this place, plus great location for bars, restaurants, supermarket buses and taxi's. So chilled, would not hesitate to return in future.

Select few members of staff treated myself and 3 other friends extremely poorly upon arrival. Forced to pay €150 each deposit straight away without any prior warning, the €150 was decided by judging us, as when spoke to other guests their deposit was as low as €20. Shoved in rooms in what appeared to be a makeshift basement level. Room never got cleaned once, no fresh towels. The only upside of this hotel was it being in a half decent location near the beach and the woman who worked the bar & breakfast area being lovely. Would not rush back to this hotel.

Just back from a 10 day stay at the almar, we had booked the premium suite and it was great, much bigger than the photos showed. We had mentioned in our initial email that it was a special wedding anniversary, and when we got into the room there was a bottle of champagne 🍾 nice touch. Also after a few days we mentioned that there was no shade at all on the balcony and within half an hour there was a house maid at the door with an umbrella for us. The weather was great, much hotter than we expected and the private pool was great for cooling down in. Very friendly staff and the room was cleaned and beds made every day. Would definitely recommend even though only self catering there is plenty of nice places nearby to eat and just a short walk down to the old town where there is an abundance of restaurants and bars. The room was great, much bigger than expected and had everything you needed

For the price, it's a quaint little hotel with great views of Albufeira and the beach with good value. We booked the Deluxe suite with the private pool/patio. The pool was too cold for the season unfortunately but it was still nice to be able to lay out in the sun. The bed was comfortable and the room was nice overall. The location is very walkable to the beach and Old Town. There are great food options around too. The staff are very welcoming and will make recommendations upon request. Overall, I'd recommend and would stay again for the view alone!

The place can be complicated to find but it’s got a nice location that is easy to walk to a lot of sights, transport, and food. Lovely soaking tub- though the jets didn’t work. Bed is very hard and creaky. Overall, pleasant for our short stay. The AC was wonderful. Best outdoor roommate!

We are a family of 4 and had a long term stay in Pedras for 9 months 22/23. So a light delay for our review;-) It’s a cool place to be, we liked the park grounds a lot with the old trees and well kept lawns. Not to forget the pool area and the architecture of the whole condo. One of my personal favourites is the weekly two yoga lessons with Rita, best teacher ever:)) I would like the apartments have a refurbishment as they are a bit outdated

This place is very basic. There is really no guest services and after check in at the reception you are given a map of the urbanization, and you are on your own. We spent almost one hour running around, suitcases in hand, trying to find our bungalow. With such a complex layout and numbering, someone should have escorted us. You physically have to carry your suitcases, as there is no walkways and the bungalows are surrounded by grass. No WiFi The breakfast was very primitive and served buffet style in a crowded cafe with stressed out and unfriendly staff. At 300 Euros a night it’s definitely overpriced. The positives are the nearby beach and an excellent restaurant inside the resort. Food and service were amazing! ( and a huge contrast to the rest of the resort ).

Unfortunately quite expansive for what you get. No Internet in the rooms, no coffeemaker( only after asking), no sunbed on the terrace. Room is very outdated, old interior, stuffy bedrooms. Very loud due to neighbours. Pool small for that huge resort . Very confusing to drive through- huge “resort” but not one sign ( pool/ reception etc) plus - Nice reception ( trying to find solutions h , cleanness of the room and the outdoor areas are taken care off. overall more experience . 280€ per night for this apartment - even in July is hillarious. For people looking for peace and quietness and a bit of spoilt vacation this is not to recommend. The location and the little train to the beach is on the other hand very nice

It’s was a shame. But great staff team at reception! We went to Barril beach. They’ve got this train which takes people to the beach and is part of Pedras D’el REI, holiday accommodation, Tavira. On our return from the beach, there were two queues to wait for the train to return; one for people who are at Pedras D’el REI and got a card and one for people who got a day ticket. We had a day ticket and didn’t know the rules. Unfortunately this was our first time at this place and we were not aware of the info plaques either. A staff member at the beach train service Ms Marina, was extremely rude and inappropriate when she seen us at the wrong queue. We apologised as we didn’t know, and we moved to end of the right queue whist Ms Marina was yelling at us things like how much she is ‘fed up of ignorants who don’t read the info plaques’ and how she is ‘fed up of having these type of discussions all the time’ with ignorants on holiday. This was a one sided discussion as she didn’t stop yelling at us and was using us and the situation to vent by a number of unresolved personal issues she had come across before. This situation has left a lot of people present uncomfortable and shocked as this was completely unnecessary. The staff team at reception were kind and compassionate, so many thanks for this.

We rented two separate properties at Quinta do Paraiso in July 2024; a superior bungalow for three days and villa for a week. Firstly the staff are super friendly and helpful. They were a pleasure to deal with during our stay. Both the Bungalow and Villa were very nice, and the general resort was kept well also. The shared pool can quite busy but we still managed to get some sun loungers even during buys periods of the day. There is a nice pool bar onsite offering lunch and drinks. We didnt avail of all the kids club activities but there was some good evening entertainment including live music, bingo, karaoke etc. The resort is about 12-15 min walk downhill to the town. Steep hills on the way back! But we mixed it up with getting Bolt taxis back to the resort, for circa 4euro one way. There is also an Italian Restaurant opposite the resorts reception. We dined there twice and got takeaway pizzas/pastas a few times. Again, the staff were always super friendly and the food was really nice also. The restaurant can get very busy, so slightly slow on service but nothing too major. Would recommend!

Update. An argument broke out with us at the restaurant tonight. An untranslated word on the English Menu meant a vegetarian dish came out with meat. (I don't eat meat) When we told them they wouldnt acknowledge that they hadn't translated well and that I made an honest mistake thinking bread, cheese and rocket was vegetarian. When they refused to swap it, we asked to leave and not have our main. They demanded we pay for it all (not just what we had on the table) or they would call the police! Complete shock. Who calls the police over a bad menu and a piece of meat on some bread. Terrible service. They eventually allowed us to leave with just paying for what was on the table. Never in my life.. we are staying in an expensive complex and were threatened with the police. What a wonderful place to stay. Picturesque, friendly, clean and lots of little activities to do, to relaxation and enjoy your stay. It's a 15 minute walk to the beach and far enough away to not be amongst the little tourism there is. There is a beautiful restaurant in the complex, bar and entertainment venue and an area for morning yoga and other activities. Last night we watched a singer who blew us away with his talent. Top class entertainment.

Rented villa with pool for a week which was excellent then an apartment for a few days which was basic but ok. Whole site is a collection of individual villas apartments and bungalows well managed with great gardens and 4 pools. Fair old walk to a beach or Carvoeiro centre, although there are food shops, restaurants and a bar on site. It's not whatever Google seems to think a hotel

We just came back from a wonderful family holiday here. The one-bed apartment was absolutely huge and had two bathrooms and a well-equipped kitchen with a dishwasher. Amazing value for money in terms of space. The apartment and villa complex is well maintained and attractively designed - not an ugly high rise building in sight. We stayed in an apartment that was about a 5-10 min walk uphill from the main reception. We had two smaller pools near the apartment but could also use the much larger ones at reception. They also provided a free travel cot for my toddler which was of very good quality. Breakfast by the pool in the mornings was lovely. The staff were lovely and thoroughly professional. When the washing machine didn't work in the apartment, the staff at reception kindly asked if we would like to send a load to housekeeping to have laundered for free. One word of warning - Quinta do Paraiso is VERY hilly and I would definitely not recommend this resort for anyone with mobility issues. We also had one whole day water cut which was seriously not pleasant, but it was not the fault of the resort but an issue in the locality. All in all, the resort is a really nice calm environment for a holiday and it is clear that the staff all work really hard to keep things running as smoothly as possible.

Good location. 2 restaurants throughout the territory. 1st for breakfast, 2nd for dinner. There is a large area, and it would be good if the bars located near the pool were open, and it would also not hurt to have a cafe that would be open at least from 12 to 6 pm. This is purely my opinion. The area is large, clean, and the workers are responsive.

Great place to stay . Very quiet neighborhood with beautiful gardens and table and chairs outside the rooms. Very friendly and accomodating staff. They offer great advice and give you directions to services nearby .Two minute walk to the boardwalk over the spectacular cliffs overlooking the ocean. The very clean room is pretty well equipped with a microwave, stove top, fridge, tv with good choice of channels, whisper quiet ac, blackout curtains, lots of power outlets, strong water pressure, cooking accessories, big comfortable bed , extra blankets and pillows and enough storage. The neighborhood seems mostly residential but there are about eight restaurants and supermarkets within 1 kilometer. I highly recommend it if you don't mind being a little out of the center.

As many others have mentioned, the sound does travel between rooms. We could hear the person snoring in the room adjacent to us. That said, everything else about the place was amazing for the price we paid ($60 USD/night). As far as the comments concerning the owner, we thought he was more than helpful considering he speaks very little English (our problem, not his). I don’t know if there was just communication problems that resulted in the poor reviews or not, but our stay was perfect. We regretted not booking for a longer stay. I’d absolutely stay here again!

Nice apartments, more like studios, there are two units, we stayed in the II, it had a nice pool and the ambient was really calm, so is not a party place, is for families looking to rest. The studio has a small kitchen, with almost everything to cook the daily meals, the place is close to the beaches, maybe 20 min walking at calm pace, the people use to come by car to move around. There is a close market, but is expensive, the recommendation is to buy things in the city center. You will save a few euros doing that. Overall, is a nice calm place, not fancy, but good enough for some rest days.

Amazing accommodations for the price! We had the Canavial III room #1 and loved how spacious the room was. Had a fun time swimming in the pool late at night and doing a poolside BBQ. Had a great time and will plan on coming back for sure! Highly suggest getting coals from the city supermarket, they have a variety of prepared seafood ready for the grill. The poolside BBQ made our night. ;)

We stayed at this hotel for 8 days. **Positives**: The hotel has the best location on the beach, with its own section where you can rent two lounge chairs with an umbrella for €16 per day. The hotel is rated 3 stars, but it's very clean. The pool water is checked for cleanliness every day, and the pool itself is cleaned every morning. We had a room above the restaurant, which surprisingly was very quiet, with no noise in the morning or evening. The view of the sea and the pool was excellent. **Negatives**: The biggest downside is the room's air conditioning, which is positioned directly above the beds. Due to the dust inside the unit, I developed an allergy, and it’s easy to get sick since you have to keep the air conditioning on because it gets very hot. There's also no parking available. If you visit during the high season, you either need to contact the hotel in advance to reserve parking or find a spot elsewhere and walk to the hotel for the rest of your stay. The breakfast was the same every day for all 8 days, with no variety, which became tiresome. Overall, we had a good time and were satisfied, but these issues need to be addressed for a more comfortable stay.

Dom José is the perfect place to stay if you're looking for a great beach holiday while being close to the most incredible hikes you will ever experience. The hotel is top notch and the service is incredible. Great breakfast every morning. Nice gym. Lounge area is great and fun in the evening. The beach is incredible, not too busy... and I'd highly recommend renting the parasol and lounge chairs for a superb beach experience. The bus station is right across the street, so very convenient. Highly recommend and I will stay there again when I return to Portugal!

The hotel doesn’t have any parking, and although there are free parking spots around, it’s really hard to find a place during the peak season. The private beach is nice but comes with an additional charge, and the swimming pool is small with overcrowded sunbeds around it. Besides these facts, hotel is pretty new and clean, and the breakfast is good.

Amazing hotel. Simply amazing. Delicious meals (we had basically all inclusive and the gastronomy of this place is very good). Rooms are quite big with great ocean view and balcony. The staff were very polite, smiling always in a great mood. The hotel has its own beach and also its own pool. We were here in june so the ocean was fresh, however the beach is clean and very spacious. Water in the pool is warm, but it refreshes you after tanning. So, all in all great hotel.

First night at room 307 and it's completely crazy how it is too noisy. I have 3 more nights here !!!!!!! It's cool to have a rooftop restaurant but not right above your head. Impossible to rest and sleep. We pay way too much for not being in peace during our vacation. The service is good since she accepted to move us even if I was a little bit upset by the room. When you booked They should say it was in construction near all over the Hotel. The pool is not super clean also.. first day we came earlier so we left our luggage in reception and went to enjoy the pool... Well when I saw the toilet paper under the water it stopped what I came to enjoy..sun, pool on roof to have a view on the reef and a drink... Nope!! Right now this hotel doesn't represent what you see on social media and advertising.

Firstly - Bogdan and Carlos were INCREDIBLE hotel staff who were super attentive, kind, went out of their way to help us during our stay. Incredible service! The beach was super accessible, ~20 min walk to Old Town Lagos with a wide range of choices for food, bars, and shopping! Room was immaculate - balcony was HUGE and had slight view of the ocean. This hotel is so gross. I was traveling with my 13 yo daughter and we didn't not feel safe here. This hotel was attached to an abandoned building and everything was covered with spray paint within a 2 mile area. We were greeted by a group of guys hollering at us by the hotels entry. Hotel staff wasn't friendly or helpful. Rooms felt damp and walls were paper thin - be prepared to stay up late and wake up early. Mold in bathroom and sink wouldn't drain. Once I sent pics to my husband, he told us to leave immediately. They wouldn't refund us our money for the days we didn't stay, but it was worth having to pay double to save our trip to Algarve. Don't stay here!

This is our second time here. First, with teenage kids, second as a couple. Good location for town, bar, seafront and supermarkets. Beautiful setting and excellent, well maintained grounds and facilities. It is a great place to relax. We've had a one bedroom apartment and studio. Both well maintained and equipped. Decent sized clean pool and tennis courts. Reception staff are really friendly and helpful. WiFi is free in reception and pool area, but for €1 a day, you can hire a router for your room. Bus stops outside reception and is reasonably priced.

Be aware of bed bugs! (House 1A) - On the second day at Pedras da Rainha, we noticed blood stains on the bed sheets and asked for new ones, thinking it was nothing serious. However, the next night, I woke up to find bed bugs crawling on the bed. We reported it to the reception and were moved to new rooms, but no advice or help was offered to clear our clothing and suitcases of the bugs. By the last day of our 7-day holiday, the bites and itchiness became visible. My wife, baby, and I were all bitten, and I even had to take medicine due to an allergic reaction. We ended up throwing away a lot of our belongings and spent the whole day cleaning, hoping not to bring any bugs back home. It was a bittersweet end to our holiday. The resort itself was mediocre, and the evening buffet was just okay.

We stayed here for my sisters hen weekend in June 2024. The whole weekend was absolutely beautiful! The hotel and location was perfect. Plenty of bars, restaurants and supermarkets within walking distance. Hotel on the beach with bars along the pier too. The hotel room was cosy and clean with a balcony. The all you can eat breakfast was delicious. Staff very friendly and helpful. Lovely clean pool. The hotels dated decor I loved it! I would recommend the hotel for an adult only stay due to low balcony and air conditioning fan unit on the balcony floor (not safe for children). I would definitely visit again.

Classic style hotel with amazing service. Their buffet breakfast is amazing! They also had live music on the bar on the Friday evening which was very nice. And I could not thank the staff enough as I left a charger behind and they were kind enough to ship it back to me. The hotel has a private access to the beach so in less than 5 minutes you can be in the beach which is huge!

We had a week's break at the Vasco da Gama Hotel in Montegordo on the Algarve which was fantastic. The 3 star hotel 🏨 was really good. We had a large twin bedded room on the first floor easily accessible by the stairs. The room had a small fridge and nice power shower in the tiled bathroom with toilet and bidet. The twin beds were large and comfortable. We were on a half board basis with breakfast and evening meal. The buffet breakfast was excellent with hot and cold food and plenty of fruit, cheese and yoghurt as well as the usual bacon and egg. We took advantage of the Happy Hour between 5 and 6 pm in the hotel bar when drinks were half price with for example a cocktail and large gin and tonic for €7. The evening buffet was excellent, usually with 3 different sorts of fish and two meat choices freshly cooked. There were no children at the hotel when we visited in early March and the demographic was quite elderly. The pool area was excellent with large outdoor pool and plentiful sun beds which were easy to move. There's a pool bar and gym next to the pool area. We would certainly go back but the hotel isn't really for young families and teenagers like the town of Montegordo. The 10 mile sandy beach was great to walk on as was the wooden board walk with lots of restaurants looking out to sea. An excellent hotel and beach and the food in the town of Montegordo for lunch was cheap with lots of bars cafes and restaurants to eat at being competitively priced.

We picked this hotel when we started planning our trip to Portugal a while ago. What a great surprise it was when we arrived there. The site is simply beautiful, and from a walking distance to beaches and several points of interest. The room was super clean and spacious. It felt like we were in our own little world. The breakfast was phenomenal!!!! And the staff were really helpful and friendly. Only great interactions with them. We can only recommend strongly this establishment. We would go back tomorrow!!!

Two beaches were in walking distances. Lagos city was also in walking distance, so were supermarkets, restaurants and bars. The pool(s) were clean and nice. We had a great week!

Nice apartments that are well equipped. Choice of three swimming pools, two larger ones and a baby pool which is quite shallow. The attached bar and cafe Littrus is handy for a beer or snack while at the pool. There is a small supermarket across the road selling everything you'll need for a self catering holiday. It's about a 30 min walk to the beach but taxis are easily available if this doesn't suit. There are a few places to eat and drink in the vicinity. Reception staff are fairly helpful in general.

cozy family atmosphere in a quite spot. Very spacious 2 bedroom apartment with everything a family needs when on holiday large bedrooms bathrooms and kitchen fully equipped. Balcony sitting area on our apartment was roadside but really didnt matter pool view would of been nicer but still excellent. 2 pools and splash pool for toddlers we preffered the salt water pool. 1 poolside bar for refreshments and a bistro style bar attached for food and refreshments. Supermarket across the road for all your shopping has everything you need. Gale beach a 30min walk away and a must is a trip to the old town recption will get you a taxi and its only 10 euro to get there. Family of 5 and we cant wait fkr our next holiday we will be back here.

The flats are very nice and clean. Not very sound proof though but we were lucky with our neighbours :) The pool is wonderful! Cleaning staff are amazing. Beach 5 min away (not trolley friendly road). The only negative point is that there is a lot of construction work just next to the hotel so some days it was impossible to stay home or enjoy the pool. Important to know, I think. This was September 2022.

We stayed here for 5 days last year with my boyfriend at the end f June and loved it. The room are very nice and spaciuos, with a small kitchen so we managed to have some nice dinenrs on our private terrace. The barbecue and the pool (you don't really need a pool in Algarve) made the perfect location to stay with great quality/value.

I didn't get a chance to actually stay at this place but I did make a reservation just to find out when I got there that the pool was undergoing construction. Fortunately I found this out before check in and was able to find another place nearby. On a positive note they were nice about the cancellation. It would have been nice if they had sent a notice via email disclosing the work being done in the premises.

Great location, very friendly staff, clean comfortbale bed. Rooms are quiet. The bad, breakfast coffee is terrible instant coffee in a machine. Horrible reception for TV. Lobby is dark, all lights off as if trying to save money, which means unwelcoming feel. Elevators are locked to lobby from midnight to 7am. So if you check out early, you need to carry your bags down the stairs and use a side door.

I booked this hotel for a few days in Lagos. I was also on a budget and felt that their rates were fair. I was beyond impressed with them. Our rooms were always clean. Reception and the rest of the staff was great. Each of our nights there were very comfortable.

The good reviews on the hotel are probably paid for because this "3 star hotel" is worse than a road side motel. It's overpriced and outdated, the rooms are poorly equipped (no fridge, no coffee maker, very basic bathroom essentials). Same scarce food for breakfast day after day from a cheap supermarket. It tasted like it had been expired for awhile. And on top of that, on the very first day, when I asked the staff how to cool down a bottle of wine (no fridge in the room), some individual who refused to introduce himself and just said "I run this place", said "No, go buy drinks at the hotel bar". This is how they treat their guests. I had paid 700 Euros for 5 nights and my stay was very unpleasant.

The hotel is spotless, the staff are very friendly and helpful. 5 minute stroll to the marina and 15 minutes to the old town restaurants etc. 10 minutes to the beach. Snag is, location sounds great but the hotel is on a busy noisy road. If you have a room at the front of the hotel get some earplugs as you're not going to sleep. Another poster claimed the rooms are a good size....nope. I won't complain about the continental breakfast it is what it is. I drink tea, couldn't have one as the milk had practically turned every morning and the coffee would curl your toes. No lager on draught in the bar, told me nobody drank it so they didn't sell it. Sold small bottles for €2.75 which were 70 cents in the supermarket. Pool area, if more than 3 or 4 ppl are sunbathing you've had it, no room for anyone else. I would recommend Lagos as a resort (not so much for younger ppl) and would definitely come back, but not to this hotel. Be careful crossing the road as Portuguese drivers tend to ignore zebra crossings,

How lucky were we to book this apartment for our holiday. So well equipped and clean. Great location. The beach is 5 minutes walk, but a fairly steep hill down, then of course, back up. Torre Villa at the top is a good pub/ restaurant. So good to have the pools so close outside apartments, some are a little further away, but those have private gardens. All first floor apartments have a balcony. There is a barbecue area, toddler's pool and a decent sized pool which goes from shallow with easy steps down, to about 2m deep. Bars and Eateries all within easy walking distance. 2 - 15 minutes gives you a good variety, catering to all tastes and budgets. A Spar supermarket is 20 minutes walk but there is a good supermarket half way down the hill towards the beach - about 5 minutes walk. Albuferia Old Town is a long walk or very quick by Uber. This small complex would suit anyone who wants to come and relax. Families and slightly older couples especially.

Pool area excellent with well maintained gardens, lots of sunloungers and a large bbq area. Rated as 3 star but I have been in worse 5 stars!! Definitely recommend this complex.

Very nice apartments with a pool! The apartment is basic but spacious and comfortable with a beautiful garden!! It's in a quiet neighborhood and very close to the beach. Through the Free now service you can get everywhere for cheap money (Albuferia Old Town, Lidl,etc ). Every recommendation! Note: It is a remote so you will either rent a car (you have this option in-house) or you'll book a taxi every time you're going somewhere (this was our option as it was cheaper and I was finally without the car for at least 7 days :) ) Edit: The beds are really uncomfortable 😣😣. Hard as hell. Since, I'm having a bad back this is something I didn't take into account when booking, and even my wife is in pain every morning. :( I've reduced the stars regarding rooms just because of that. Everything else is fine i.e.bathroom is nice, the kitchen has all the necessities you need if you're going to cook, it's spacious enough and definitely a garden is wow! The staff is really polite and helpful. Takeaway/snack bar is immediately beside and you won't have to think about cooking!! The prices are wow! Bacon and cheese burger with fries 6,5 euro which is cheaper than McDonald's in Ireland but way better and fresh grilled meat!

Beautiful place. We stayed in room 104. Beautiful garden that we all enjoyed very much. Pool next to us and smaller pool next to that. Great park at end that we made lots of use of. Kids absolutely loved it. Would recommend to hire a car as most places are quite far. But has 2 lovely beaches close by. Castelo beach is left of the apartment and a nice walk. Evaristo beach is a 10 min walk along a bendy road. Very lovely walk and views. A supermarket is about 5 min walk left of apartments. Opens in morning till 12pm and again opens 4pm till 8pm. Lovely people around here. Fantastic sights. Scoobys bar is right of the apartment approx 8 min walk and a must see as is a friendly place with fab food. Must visit old town a big market with loads of shops and great sights with a lovely beach. Very helpful people and a must see.

Cleaners were inconsistent with times, some days it was 12pm others 3pm. Knocking on our door and ringing our bell at 10am when we came to have a break. They also left our front door completely open when cleaning even when we asked them to keep it closed as we were right on the street, they kept it open for the rest of the days. Furniture could be modernised, ants in the bathroom. Peaceful place and friendly receptionists.

O mais desagradável atendimento do recepcionista que alguma vez vi - O recepcionista foi muito mal educado desde o primeiro dia. - Em primeiro lugar, e apenas por curiosidade, (nós já tinhamos o teste antigénio efetuado em farmácia) ao chegar perguntamos porque não podíamos ter feito um teste rápido de antigénio (autoteste) no momento, à porta do estabelecimento. E a resposta que obtivemos é que o patrão é que mandava e ele não queria e ponto final. Explicamos que segundos as normas essa era uma opção que nós deviamos ter tido. Mas a resposta que obtivemos foi tão arrogante, que não continuamos a conversa. - Em segundo lugar, tivemos um infeliz episódio onde esse mesmo recepcionista veio expulsar aos berros (literalmente) e de forma agressiva 2 familiares nossos que estavam de visita. Em vez de se limitarem a explicar que àquela hora não podiam lá estar. Fomos tratados como se estivessemos a assaltar ou a criar estragos no alojamento, ao invés de sermos clientes. Faço questão de deixar aqui por escrito que, depois desse episódio assustador, não abandonei o alojamento nesse mesmo momento porque faltava apenas 1 dia. - O quarto, cozinha e wc tinham formigas. E várias coisas da cozinha cheiravam a mofo. - Em 2021 não faz qualquer sentido um alojamento pedir pagamento pela password do wi-fi. - Também é muito incómodo não existir ninguém disponível entre as 18h (hora de fecho da recepção) e as 22h (hora de entrada do segurança noturno).

Perfect place to stay if you prefer peace and tranquility as opposed to the busier resorts in the area. Apartments have everything you need and are in close proximity to a beautiful beach, great restaurants, well stocked supermarket and both the open topped tour buses and buses to other locations off the tour routes. Highly recommend Glory's restaurant on the beach front where Gloria is wonderfully welcoming and the food is delicious. If you're there for more than a couple of days, it's worth buying a 2/3/4 day pass on the hop on, hop off open top tour bus as this works out much cheaper than using the other buses and covers most locations between Olhos de Água Vilamoura and Albufeira.

I visited Portugal in October and stayed at the Apartamento Do Parque. We had the top floor with a great view of the ocean. The rooms were clean and spacious. The kitchen had everything you needed. The rooms were consistently clean with fresh towels provided daily. The hotel boasted excellent amenities including a gym, swimming pool, and jacuzzi. The staff were exceptionally polite, friendly, and helpful, especially Gina at reception who went above and beyond. Despite check-out being at 11 am and having a late flight, I could enjoy the beach thanks to the hotel's luggage room and communal shower/toilet facilities. I would definitely choose to stay here again.

3HB Golden Palace in Albufeira exceeded all our expectations and made our stay truly memorable. From the moment we checked in, we were greeted by friendly staff who provided excellent service throughout our stay. The welcome pack we received on arrival was a lovely touch, including biscuits, milk, and a handy beach bag that set the tone for a relaxing holiday. The location of 3HB Golden Palace is ideal, perched halfway up the famous 'Cardiac Hill'. Every room offers at least a partial view of the sea, and with the beach just a 2-minute walk away, it’s perfect for those who want easy access to the beautiful coastline. The pool area, while small with limited sunbeds, was never an issue. We always found space to relax, and the poolside bar was a highlight, offering a great selection of drinks and food at very reasonable prices. The staff at the bar were friendly and attentive, making the experience even more enjoyable. Convenience is key at 3HB Golden Palace, with a supermarket and a few charming cafés just a minute's walk away. It’s also just a few minutes' walk up Cardiac Hill to the main strip, which is lively and can be noisy, but we were pleasantly surprised to find that our room, despite being close to the road, was quiet and peaceful at night. The apartment itself was excellent—spotlessly clean, spacious, and well-equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The only areas for improvement would be the addition of more storage for clothing and an upgrade to the beds in the bedroom. The metal-framed beds with shallow mattresses were less comfortable than the sofa beds in the living area, which were surprisingly more restful. One of the more unique and memorable features of our stay at 3HB Golden Palace was the resident seagull, which keeps a vigilant eye over the property. This formidable bird, which could easily be mistaken for a pterodactyl due to its impressive size and presence, takes no nonsense and adds a bit of local charm to the experience. Often seen swooping down and gliding just above the pool’s surface, this seagull is a true character, making its rounds as if it were the unofficial guardian of the hotel. While it certainly commanded attention, it added a bit of fun to our poolside lounging, and watching it in action became part of the daily routine. 3HB Golden Palace is a fantastic place to stay, and I would return in a heartbeat if I ever find myself back in Albufeira. The combination of friendly service, excellent facilities, and a prime location makes it a top choice for anyone visiting this vibrant part of Portugal.

My experience at this hotel on July 30th was an absolute nightmare. I had booked a Standard Studio for my family through Booking.com, but when we arrived (and after they took our passports and charged us the tourist tax), the staff informed us that no such room type existed. Despite having a confirmation for the booking, they insisted that we pay for a more expensive room if we wanted to stay. This was incredibly frustrating, especially as we had young children with us and were already exhausted from traveling. The staff's attitude was dismissive and unhelpful. They repeatedly told us to contact Booking.com to sort it out, as if it wasn't their problem. In fact, they even took my phone and kept scrolling through the Booking.com app for a few minutes, which made me feel extremely uncomfortable. We were left stranded with no viable options and had to scramble to find another hotel at the last minute, incurring additional expenses. To make matters worse, the hotel's claim of free parking was a blatant lie. There was no parking available on-site, forcing us to search for a spot to park the car in the surrounding narrow alleys leading down to the beach, which was a major inconvenience. This hotel's lack of transparency, appalling customer service, and false advertising left a terrible impression on us. I strongly advise against booking this hotel if you value your time, money, and peace of mind.

Just finished a 10 day holiday at this hotel, and had a lovely time. It's a 3 star hotel so keeping that in mind, the place is dated and could use some TLC in parts but you can tell it's been beautiful in the past. Food - always fresh and a wide selection. The Italian is a hidden gem which we visited a lot. Rooms - a 3 bed in the main building - so spacious with an amazing view. Tired but very comfortable. Location - perfect for a family holiday but maybe not for those wanting to go out of a night. But the beach - wow. The location for that alone was fantastic. Staff - the animation staff were just brilliant. My daughter has cried all night as she won't see them again. My special thanks to Brenda, Inoah and Jonathas. All 3 made our holiday really really memorable. Obrigado. X

Booked a regular room and was upgraded to a studio with kitchen, sea view. All in good food. nothing to complain about. beautiful location. Animation was poor, partly due to the football. Animation program announced at 9 p.m. does not start due to football. It should also be remembered that not everyone watches football. One can keep separated by showing football indoors. reception very friendly. A place to return but lost points by giving priority to the football madness.

Rooms are not well maintained and theirs stains everywhere. The washroom especially the shower/tub needs to be trashed, it's in really bad shape. The hallways smelled of sewage near our room on the 3rd floor. The staff was not helpful and lied about drop-off when we could clearly see a pickup and drop-off binder. Food is subpar, and not enough variety so you'll be eating pretty much the same thing everyday. Beach is awesome, the location of the resort is close to the town so markets and restaurants are accessible via a 15 to 20min walk. The elevators aren't that great and we had to carry our luggage up and down the stairs during check-in and check-out. We were told the rooms we booked had a sofa-bed since we are family of four, but the reality was just some sheets on a regular sofa. Very disappointed with the service and accommodations and we will be avoiding future stays with this chain.

Just returned from a 5 day trip at this Mónica Isobel…. First impressions the staff were lovely and the entertainers are brilliant throughout the day and night. The rooms are dated, toilet was broke. Bath was stained room (307)… AC hardly worked and we couldn’t figure out how to make it work when we wanted. The food is okay, we chose to eat out due to tea time being very repetitive. Salads, deserts and soft drinks are good for all inclusive. Alcoholic drinks on all inclusive were hard to stomach. Cheap vodka mixed with 0 sugar soft drinks made us switch drinks very quickly. Pints and wine served in warm paper cups needs to change asap. People are on holiday and should be enjoying their drinks. Sadly on the last day we checked out gave our bags to reception and ours friends went missing. The hotel didn’t really help and we have heard nothing since arriving home. Ruined our holiday leaving on a negative as we enjoyed our stay and met some lovely people at the complex. I would recommend the location, the staff and parts of the holiday. For the right price it’s worth a visit but if you’re spending a lot hoping for the best I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere. Maybe we had higher expectations but the reality of bags being stolen in the hotels hands is not good enough nor did they try compensate or help.

Great rooms, wonderful and caring service. Everything is immaculate and well maintained. Staff is courteous, competent, and wants to help you. Rooms have been updated with outlets, USB connectors, etc. Very nice bed, sheets, pillows, towels. Courtyard into inside bar and inside / outside breakfast area. Location is not 'on the strip', but close enough to walk if you really wanted to, or a short drive to most things in Lagos. Definitely recommended, and a great model property for a small / medium hotel.

Had a great time at the hotel. Booked over Jet2 package holidays and everything was great. The apartments are big and spacious, with all things you need for a normal stay. Location is top. The view from the restaurant is amazing. Food is great, both breakfast and dinner. We went at the end of August so it wasn't too busy. I would like to come back here again. The only downsides are the money tricks they tried to play on me at the reception during paying a tourist tax. Tried to rob me for €10 when he handed the change back, which is poor. I experienced that many times at the hotels, so just be aware of it. The same thing happened at the pool bar, my wife was actually robbed by the waiter for €10 since she wasn't paying attention when she handed her the change back. One more thing, if you are leaving early at the check out you'll receive a takeaway breakfast pack which is a poor quality, compared to what you normally get at the breakfast buffet.

We loved our stay at Falesia Gardens. We had 2 of our grandsons with us in our party, and we were so happy that the site was very secure. The pools were great, the food was excellent, and the whole experience was really relaxing. One small complaint- we had to wait for 4 hours for our room to be ready. No check-in until 4 pm. Not much fun when you want to get changed and start your holiday.

Super lovely staff - Luis, the receptionist especially, who gave us such a warm welcome and answered all of our questions. The buffet is incredible. Buy the half board it's so worth it! Very nice atmosphere, has a games room, and is very close to towns and beaches. Free WiFi and drinking water in rooms 10/10!!

Stayed here for a week recently. There were 16 of us altogether, and all of our party got put in the same block of apartments which was so good for us. The rooms were unbelievable! Everywhere was so clean and that doesn't just end with the rooms, the whole complex was absolutely spotless! But to me, the staff are what make this complex what it is. Every member of staff we interacted with across the week were so friendly, attentive and accommodating, from the lifeguards by the pool to the cleaners on site, everyone was so nice! But I do need to give a special shout out to Blanche and Oleksandyr who were always willing to help you in any way and do it with the biggest smiles on there faces, the honestly made my week there! I have fallen in love with this place and I can't wait to return sometime soon! Obrigado!

We're just back from a really enjoyable stay at the Marina Club Lagos; our second time. We (2 adults and 2 seven year old children) stayed in a one bed apartment in the Suite Hotel part of the development. Room - had everything we needed. The double bed in the bedroom and two sofa beds in the living room were all comfortable. The sofa beds were 2 meters long and were open on both sides which made them feel like proper single beds when sleeping on them. The kitchenette has a full sized fridge with a small freezer section, hobs, a microwave, kettle, toaster and coffee maker and plenty of utensils - would be handy to have a small oven. Bathroom was nice. Towels were changed regularly (plus you can drop into the spa reception to get free towels for the pool!!!). Pool area was really nice. It's got a splash pool for toddlers. The main pool has a shallow end that takes up around a third of the pool. It gently goes to about 1 metre (3 foot) deep, then a drop to a short section at 1.2m deep and then 1.8m deep. The pool could benefit from some depth markings, or lines, within the pool as the depth markings are on the surface outside the pool. The were plenty of loungers available. And I always found it a relaxing place to be - thankfully no music, just the sounds of other guests and splashing of water. Food options were fine. We ate breakfast at the hotel for a few days and had lunch at the restaurant a few times. There's loads of choice for restaurants in Lagos, at the town, at the marina and at the beaches. Service was generally very good. Reception was always efficient, gave good advice and were very friendly. The spa staff were very friendly when we were getting the pool towels. Housekeeping staff were good. The restaurant service was a little hit and miss depending on the server - they accused us of not paying for a previous day's breakfast which was pretty irritating and took time to sort out. Any tips? Pingo supermarket is 5 minutes walk away (adult pace) and has everything. Bahia Beach bar on Meia Praia Beach was really good.

Room is a large and good for families but if you’re solo traveler or a couple, stay away. There are many many small children. Stayed at many other hotels in the Algarve with the same price. Can't fault this hotel at all, in a great location close to restaurants, close to the beach as well, there's a place called algar trail nearby which is a hidden gem to visit. Room was serviced everyday while there, lovely continental breakfast, plus was the resident cat, so cute and friendly. Easy to get a bus to albufeira with the bus stop basically down the street, but an Uber is more convenient.

Great little hotel located slap bang in the middle of Albufiera old town. Staff were pleasant, rooms were clean and tidy and it offered great value for money.

Just back from a week stay at the hotel. This hotel is fantastic. The rooms are spotless and are cleaned every single day. Not just tidied, but scrubbed. Linen changed twice in the week, towels too. The double glazed doors blocked out any noise so we had no issues regarding that. We had room with terrace and 2 loungers, table and 2 chairs. The only downside is no fridge, which during high temperature be nice to have cold water. The location is incredible, right on Bar Street so we never needed taxis. Hotel was very quiet. No shouting or banging doors. The staff at the hotel where so so lovely and very helpful. If you heading to Alburfeira for some enjoyable nights out, this is highly recommended. Will be back

Hotel is quite new and the rooms look very nice and have AC. The staff is very friendly and reception is 24/7. However, we wanted a beach holiday and it looked like a good location but it‘s on one of the main party streets in Albufeira and even with ear plugs it was still loud during the night until 6am. We had a bad sleep during our stay. For party people this is a really good location! The breakfast is at least for 20 people, small but nice.

Originally booked casa malpique in the centre of the old town, however, it was absolutely not fit for purpose as it was so small. That said, we quickly got a room at the albufieria beach hotel. I can't thank them enough for their help. Ok, it's down the middle of bar street and it can get noisy, but the rooms have air conditioning, they are very clean throughout and the cleaners are in every day.The bathroom/shower is very good, big shower and contact hot water. All of the reception staff are very helpful (especially Rui) . Also there's a lift to the upper floors and 24hr reception.

Studio is basic, but kept clean every day. Does need updating. But ample for us as we were half board. Good facilities in the hotel. A lovely beach which is private. Staff are accommodating. Buffet food is good with a varied menu. Lovely pool with loungers. Good for the money I paid.

Thought we were going to be in the cute little houses shown in the pictures...No. What they did not advertise are the block of flats based behind the apartments. These were self contained flats, very dirty and dated. The bathroom facility I had was disgusting and looked like it wasn't cleaned from the previous people. We had to go out and buy cleaning detergents and clean our self. Good points, staff very friendly and welcoming, shop close by gardans are kept beautifully and beach side view is amazing.

Perfect for a student budget and a quiet area. You can walk through the hotel onto the beach and you can also use the hotel's swimming pool. I stayed in a 2 bedroom villa which was quite dated but it had everything I needed for a 7 night stay. Hotel staff were very helpful and even printed our boarding passes. Would definitely recommend for a quiet, budget holiday.

We booked a studio apartment and wasnt expecting it to be great because it was cheap. When we got here we were told the rooms arent available until 2pm. Then we had a long walk to the room dragging our suitcase trying to follow a dodgy map. When we got in the room I was gob smacked. It was very, very dated. I havent unpacked and I dont intend on doing so either. The beds are really uncomfortable the bathroom is so old it looks dirty. The chairs I nearly fell through them and the balcony doors come off in your hand when you try to open them. The place is really old and run down. I wouldn't recommend anyone staying here.

Honestly... i want to say Thank you for all the staff, and i am very pleased that u received me this 2 weeks. Food is amazing, staff always ready to help, but i would like leave a quick advice for people that complain about the room conditions, or this or that. When you book a room, or a few days anywhere... u book a service, not people for you demand and put your bad attitude. The rooms are not the best, but you pay for you get. Feel happy because you have an opportunity to stay in Algarve, in Albufeira, in the beach, for a cheap price. Thanks for all of this week

I had the best stay in this accommodation and I would stay here again. This was my first holiday where I did not want to leave the accommodation as the pool area was so good. The pool area is what made my holiday better than others. The pool area is made for families and groups of all sizes. It was such a great atmosphere and the kids LOVE the pool. The drinks are so cheap inside and the food is amazing. The bar man at the pool is really nice and caters for all people. The rooms are also great and have all cooking and cleaning facilities. The location is amazing as you can walk to old town Albufeira and the strip. There is an amazing clothes shop beside the accommodation too.

Some staff were very friendly, nice pool outside which was great, the rooms are big with clean bedding & nice air con which cooled us down after being in the hot sun. Location was perfect between the strip and old town in close walking distance. Howeber, upon arrival, the reception was closed so our welcome was affected. When we got to our room, the shower and sink overflowed during usage, beds were very uncomfortable & the wi fi in the room did not work at all. Worst thing that happened was a rude receptionist, on our fourth day, tried to say they didn't recieve our final payment even though we had sent proof of our prepayment days before. He was patronising, unhelpful and rude & stuck a notice on our door (very unprofessional). We ended up having to pay again so we will be disputing this with our bank. Just beware incase this happens to you.

We recently enjoyed a 2-night stay at Bellavista Avenida in Albufeira, and overall, it was a fantastic choice! The location truly can't be beat: just a 5-minute walk to the beach, surrounded by restaurants, and with a mall and grocery store right across the street. It was incredibly convenient. The apartment itself was spacious, with a large bedroom the kitchen was well-equipped for our short stay, and the highlight was definitely the huge balcony with chairs overlooking the beautiful pool area. It was perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. My only complaint was the couch’s weren’t very comfortable,

On arrival staff member attending was pleasant, friendly and offered help with luggage. Accommodation has no double glazed doors or windows and noise levels can be very high here. If you are looking for peace and quiet or you are a light sleeper, this is not the place for you! Facilities were as expected for the cost of the stay. The pool was not filled and the grounds are lovely. Restaurant didn't appear open and I was not informed of any options upon arrival thus assumed was not. The room us spacious and comfortable. Hot water minimal so used kettle to make a little more acceptable. Microwave, cooker, toaster and location fabulous.

This must honestly be one of the worst timeshare resorts I have been to and I have been to several around the world. 1. There is no room service. So the towellsdont get cleaned or the unit.The kitchen sink does not have a plug so you çannot wash dishes. When requesting a replacement the person at the desk very arrogantly replied that they can't find one for this sink anymore,so basically live with it. 2. The beds are hard and very uncomfortable 3. Rooms extremely hot with no fan or a/c. 4. Stairwells outside unit as well as floors are dirty. 5. None of the above are befitting a 3 star resort. I would not recommend this place to anyone. The service at the front desk is both rude and unhelpful.

Title: Unpleasant Experience at the Hotel I recently had a disappointing stay at a hotel due to various issues. Firstly, the room quality was subpar, and I encountered cockroaches, which significantly affected my comfort. Additionally, the absence of toilet paper and a hairdryer added to the inconvenience. The staff's attitude was unsatisfactory, and there was a two-hour delay in the check-in process. Overall, the combination of these factors made my stay quite unpleasant.

This is one of the worst places I've ever booked. 1. The room is full of cockroaches!!! 2. The hot water is not working for more than 5 mins then if you are 2 people, only one of you can take a shower!! 3. The service is awful, we told them the toilet paper is not enough they told us, oh sorry go and buy one! 4. There is no air dryer in the room. 5. They don't respect the time and we waited for the check-in around 2 hours!!!

What an amazing place to stay the view and atmosphere is amazing but no onsite reception to check in there was no toilet roll in the bathroom by the pool and no one around to check us in was a bit of a disaster but I would most definitely go back and stay in the windmill again it had the most incredible views 360 degree view with the exception of a tree or 2 the windmill has a beautiful seating area outside with a BBQ and pizza oven. You can see the mountains the town and the sea! I was absolutely delighted with the room and my stay because I had no issues I didn't need to contact them other than to check in which took over 45 minutes. Also they take a €200 deposit that they spring on you when your checking in but offer a delay payment. All in all I wouldn't select the windmill if you have kids of mobility issues it's very tight and accidents could happen easily. This has to be the best place to wake up in Albufeira in this windmill ❤️❤️ Excuse the mess in the video showing the inside I was packing and realised I hadn't even took a video!

Booked here as my electric had gone & needed somewhere I could take a hot shower & recharge my phone/laptop to get work done. Pros - apartment was gorgeous - clean - warm welcome Cons - shower flicked between boiling hot or freezing cold. The hot being dangerous for children - rooms have lots of breakable items so probably not suitable for young children - no staff on site to report to - on the day of leaving there was no running water - you can hear EVERYTHING from the other rooms, again not child friendly

In our booking was written sofa beds in the room. However it was only sofas. So while booking you should consider this point.

Terrible experience that we won't repeat! Apartment very expensive for what it was. All things inside were old, dirty and without hygiene. The towels looked like used for years, yellow and with others peoples hairs. No AC on the bedroom, it was impossible to sleep there. Elevators small and all the building need refurbishment because the expensive amount of 1250euros only for sleep one week doesn't match with the minimum of what we expected. No cleaning on Sundays but we paid 7 nights!!! Terrible Terrible! Swimming pool so so small that we can't swim there.

Tonight, we dined at Cantinho do Mar, an establishment clearly aimed at English tourists with its affordable 16 euro menu and cheap house wine. While the service was commendable, the overall dining experience left much to be desired. First and foremost, the food quality was quite average. Having eaten at many places in Portugal, we were disappointed by the portion sizes here, which were notably small for the price. This was particularly evident with our order of Seabass. Typically, you would expect to receive the whole fish in a traditional Portuguese setting. However, we were served only two tiny fillets, as shown in the attached picture, which felt insufficient and underwhelming. Despite the friendly and attentive service, the meal did not meet our expectations, especially given the abundance of excellent Portuguese family fish restaurants in the area. If you are looking for an authentic Portuguese dining experience, I would recommend exploring other options.

We were a group of 12 last night. The restaurant was full, a nice atmosphere and not as loud as in other restaurants. We all had the fixed menu for 16 euros. I had garlic bread, my wife a seafood soup, both very tasty. For the main dish I had salmon with fries and salad, my wife fish filet also fries and salad. We both had the strawberry cheese cake for dessert, a bottle of red wine and each a espresso, 16 Euros for each, can't complain. We were surprised how fast we were served and the food was nice and hot. Will certainly go back again, very friendly owners and servers!! The speak good English.

That is a very nice place to stay! I have a great time., it was big apartment, clean and everything was working, the only thing was the toaster that was not working, I called them straight way they send me a new one that was perfect. I arrived late and reception was there to welcome us. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Quite nice place. Also there is a car parking that you pay inside but outside there is free car parking. It is very close to shops and restaurants. There is a supermarket only 2 minutes from them. Recommend! I will stay again.

We are currently staying in smy. Please don't listen to the negative reviews. We have experienced nothing but politeness and professionalism. Our apartment is clean. The beds are very comfortable. We had a welcome pack on arrival for washing dishes etc. The kitchen is fully equipped with new kettle toaster and microwave. There is also washing machine. I only used the kettle as I don't cook while on holiday. We have a large terrace and balcony but unfortunately the weather hasn't been great something smy isn't responsible for. I have communicated a number of times with the team before our arrival and the response has been excellent. There are rules but to be honest I think these are mainly addressed to groups who have no respect for the owners and other tourists. My only negative is the bed settee in the lounge it was very stained and not comfortable for relaxing. I'd also like to add there is a hairdryer in the bathroom which is bonus. We are staying in a terrace apartment with lift as my husband has a number of health issues. Would I stay here again....yes I absolutely would I really can recommend. The staff are lovely.

Basic but clean with no issues. We were a stag group of 28 men aged 30-40. As long as you know the rules and behave reasonably well you shouldn’t have any issues. Rooms basic but had everything we needed such as Beds, bedding, towels, clean shower and toilet. A bit odd that we had to empty our own bins and take the bags to the large bin at the top of the street. Reception and the small bar by the pool (cash only) helpful enough. Decent location, approx 5- 10 minute walk to the new town strip. Value for money

The apartments are out dated but found to be clean, spacious and well equipped. There is a large pool with plenty of sunbeds and a bar selling snacks and drinks at reasonable prices. Good location only 5 min from the main strip, bars and restaurants. The old town is only another 5 min taxi trip. All in great value for the price we paid.

Vila Alba is an ideal resort for all ages. The terrain has two or three level appartements around the block, with a lage swimming pool, bar and tenniscourt in the middle. During our stay there was a pleasant mix of Families, couples and groups. The rooms we're spacious, clean and have a terrace or balcon. Also the sheets and towels het refreshed daily. The bed... Not so comfy. A Car is more then welcome since its not near the beach and city centre.

Overall ok, but the wait for the elevator is very long, there is noise from the road, plus music from the bars and from the windows, some vacationers are very noisy. And here you can’t sit quietly on the terrace, because at best, cigarette butts fly from above, beach towels get shaken out, and at worst, anything can fall on your head or cause damage to your property

Lovely hotel with very helpful and friendly staff. Clean & great location. We stayed self catering and facilities were fine for what we needed. Only downfall was lack of shutters in bedroom, it gets light very early so children were up a lot earlier than we wanted them to be on holiday! Will definitely visit again.

Dom Pedro Lagos. Stayed here on beginning of June in a Club Studio, Sea View room. The view was for sure fantastic. Easy access to the beach and is absolutely not crowded at all. There is a railway track right in front of the Hotel and you have to cross that to reach the beach, but isn’t very noisy even though a train passes by quite often. Clean beach and feels like a private area. Calm and quite hotel except that they have birds nest all over and the nonstop chirping and bird poop right outside the room doors is definitely a nuisance. You have to be careful and dodge the nest so you and your bags don’t get pooped on each time you have to enter and exit the room. Reception and elevator are not conveniently located for people travelling with big check in bags. There are multiple heavy doors you have to push and pull and takes forever to get from the elevator to the rooms. You could use stairs which are conveniently located for the parking area but then you have to carry the heavy bags yourselves. Room was very spacious and clean but bathroom was very shabby and very poor quality toilet paper and absolutely no tissues. Shower was weird too and water all over by the time you finish. Horrible smell from pipes and toilet flushes are half broken. Definitely needs an upgrade. Also does not have a hair dryer in the room and you have to go to the reception and get one and return the AC remote and the hair dryer back to the reception while check out. Location is quite remote but is also within 5-10 minutes’ drive to the central marina area for food and shopping and I loved the convenience of that and parking was also very convenient.

Amazing stay at dom pedro. The hotel is a bit dated and need a refurb but that didn't affect our stay as the price reflects that. Very clean and perfect location to the beach. The view from our balcony was the highlight of the stay. Very helpful staff and we had all we need in our apartment.

No value for money Check-in on time wasn’t possible as the room wasn’t ready and the receptionists was rude, not apologetic at all. Cleanliness 2/5. Extremely shabby furniture and strong bad smell from pipes in the bathroom. Location - quite remote by foot from the center and beaches, which are protected from the wind by cliffs.

Absolutely fantastic place. Very well located between Albufeira and Vilamoura. We had planned to hire a car but didn’t in the end. Uber always available and relatively cheap. Close to Boliqueme train station where we got the train to Lagos which winds through orangeries and farms. Accommodation itself was fantastic - very functional kitchen. Comfortable bed. Great bathroom. Owner was lovely and helpful even after delayed flight. Favourite part was the pool area - we lay in the sun, overlooking the orange trees and listening to the birds singing. It was so peaceful and relaxing. Swam in the outdoor pool in April - it was fairly cold but was nice to cool down after a morning in the sun. There was a covered pool too which we didn’t swim in, but I imagine would be warmer. We are already planning a return trip!

Car needed as it's away from beaches and shops but lots of nice resorts to visit. Me and my husband would rate it 5/5 and wouldn't hesitate to keep visiting.

Not as advertised! We visited in August 23 and there was only one old, inefficient aircon unit in the living area. Nothing in the bedrooms. Worse than that some of our possessions went missing when the apartment was cleaned and the Glenridge management refused to do anything about it. Stay elsewhere.

Best apartment experience of recent years. Houses are fully renewed, with lots of space and private covered parking near apartment. All o them have max 50 meters till the swimming pool, children playground and coffee/wine bar. All zero level apartments have small private terrace with small garden, green grass whole year. Kitchen was fully equipped, including dish washer, coffee maker, microwave, toaster, stick mixer etc. Probably no need to mention Algarve weather, with summer temperatures till the end of September and much longer days than most of Europe.

A very nice place to stay. The price for our 1 bedroom apartment was brilliant, there could be some maintenance improved, the showerhead was loose and the bed was really squeaky but it is well located and has plenty of facilities. I would stay again.

Very peacefull and cosy. Room and conditions were very good and it was clean. The fact that you are in a house in a small condominium-like accomodation, gives more freedom for the kids to play (and you just watch the kids from your kitchen or living room). The only downsides was sofa-bed (not a very good bed and relatively small, just for kids, we decided to set it up in the floor instead) and that the reception closed early on the low season, but they were very friendly at the reception and things got worked out.

There are lots of things to do on site, from darts, volleyball, swimming, saunas evening entertainment, etc, etc. The location was amazing and the site was full of bird song. The service is unique, from the reception to the waiters, everyone is great. The location is very good, you practically have your own beach ;). The animation is good, and the children's supervision stands out. Why I don't give 5 stars is that they forgot to hang a mosquito lamp in every room. Because there are a lot of mosquitoes that bite you in the evening on the terrace. The terrace always had to be closed at 8 o'clock in the evening, so that you were locked in the room. All in all a great holiday.

I have stayed in this hotel for 5 nights and it was completely a disaster, the hotel is not as big as its shown on the pictures, I have sent an email for room upgrade and got no response, tried to call the hotel and the line was always busy,when I checked in i mentioned that i sent an email but receptionist asked me:”Why?” The wifi does not work at all, hotel staff was a disappointment, as i asked if the wifi had a problem and i got a response from receptionist that “you don't need a wifi you are on holidays” and i could work from reception where was the only place to get wifi working, the hotel does not meet 4* standards at all.

Rooms are cleaned everyday and have air conditioning and free wifi, powerful shower and really nice pool. The room was the perfect size for me and my boyfriend. The hotel has a roof sunbathing area which overlooked a lovely view. Couldn’t have wished for a better area, there are restaurants directly across the road and it’s only a 5min walk from the beach and around 10min into a strip. Would 100% go again. Also not too far from faro airport😁

The hotel cheats customers. Superior rooms differ in standard. When booking via common booking platform, standard and superior rooms differ only in price, the photos show the same rooms. The information shown on the website is also misleading. We ordered a room with a higher standard and received a room whose standard differs from what is shown in the pictures (Floor, Bathroom, view of the parking lot). Location on the ground floor, right next to the reception, the door is leaky - you can hear everything from the main hall. The hotel staff sees no problem and refers to the agency. Impossible to contact the manager, he has been avoiding us since our arrival, making appointments and not coming. Contact with the agency (whatever that means) that supports the hotel is difficult, it is not available all the time - partial responses and after a long time. By the service we are sent do contact The Expedia platform, which we did not use. The bathroom in the supposed superior room was old and dilapidated, there were cobwebs in the wardrobe, and there was someone's hair on the sheets. I absolutely do not recommend it.

The reception staff and the breakfast & cleaning staff were really polite and very helpful. The rooms were spotless the towels smelt so nice !! The beds were so comfy we definitely had 5 good nights sleeps. The breakfast was basic but there was enough. The Coffee was amazing !! Lorraine & Wayne Jackson

We really loved our stay at Torre Velha. It was quite what we expected for the price and the previous reviews. The quiet location near the beach was marvelous, staff was absolutely amazing and service was all in all very good. Drinks and food by the bar were very affordable and again for the price, surprisingly tasty. With small changes the room would've gotten a better rating from us. There was very little counter and storage space, which caused a chaos with all of our stuff trying to fit in on the one table. There was a hanger for clothes but no closets or shelves. With a bit of effort the room would've been nicer, it was kinda cold and plain and not very cozy. There were very few outlets, our beddings weren't changed the whole week and sadly a fleet of ants ate some of our food and occupied our luggage. Ear plugs are a necessity if you're a light sleeper, since the doors are very light and the other guests pound their doors very loudly. If you're looking for a friendly place and just a room to sleep in with no extra glamour, this is the one for you! 😊

Very good hotel. Rooms were very clean and spacious. Beds were very comfortable. Lovely atmosphere and very good location. You can hire a car from next door for very cheap. Come to Scooby’s for the best breakfast 10am-12pm. Also the pool at the hotel is very clean and just the right size.

Just back from a week at the Alvaflor. Had everything you need in a self catering room. We had a one bedroom apartment, two single beds in the bedroom with a large wardrobe, one person slept in the living room which had a sofa with a pull out bed. Beds in the room comfy but the sofa bed a little hard. Living room had a chair & a TV which had a few channels in English. At the other end of the room there was a kitchen with a 4 ring hob, toaster, kettle and fridge. There was also a coffee machine & a juicer which we didn't use. The fridge door was hanging off when we first arrived & the ice box had defrosted into the fridge but it got fixed straight away after reporting it. There was also a freezer. A large table with chairs in the kitchen and another table with chairs on the balcony. Large balcony that could be accessed from the kitchen & the bedroom. Rooms a bit dated & tatty but what I would expect for the money we paid. Staff in reception very helpful especially Sara who was always happy to help. They could do with a better map of the area as we managed to get a little lost on our first day. Lovely pool which was freezing ( not surprising in October). Very quiet area and no bar or entertainment in the hotel. There are 3 supermarkets about a 10 minute walk away. Took about 15 mins to walk to the marina where there were plenty of restaurants to choose from. The beaches are about a 20 min walk away, one at Vilamoura next to the casino and Falesia beach on the other side of the marina. Miles of sandy beach at Falesia beach and the courtesy bus drops you 5 mins away but only goes at 10.30 am or 4.30 pm. There is a mini/ crazy golf course about 10 mins away which is good for adults & kids although a little expensive. If your feeling energetic you can walk to Quartiera in about 40 mins or get a bus from the marina. All in all had a lovely break and definitely value for money.

We booked our holiday last minute and chose Zarco apartments mainly due to cost. As mentioned by previous reviewers the apartments are slighted dated BUT they are clean and comfortable, exactly more than suitable for our needs with a tidy sized kitchen and lovely big/clean bed. Friendly and helpful staff members. We arrived just before midnight, with no restaurants open the staff offered to make us ham and cheese toasties as we checked in which were greatly appreciated. The marina is approx 15 mins walk on foot. Lovely flat/scenic path with fitness stations along the way. If you enjoy keeping fit i highly recommend you pack some trainers and make the most of this purpose built walkway. Taxis cost us €5 each way and take 2-3 minutes. We still have a few days left of our stay but are very happy with the apartment especially for low cost.

Very nice place, really big apartment, spotlessly clean. Friendly, helpful staff. Clean towels every day. Plenty of sunbeds to go around. Nicely kept gardens with good size pool. Snack bar for food and drink available all day at reasonable prices. Lovely 20 mins walk to marina and beach, Quatteria a further 15 mins pleasant coastal walk further on. Plenty of bars and resteraunts within easy walking distance. 2 Spar supermarkets close by. Courtesy shuttle bus to marina/beach 4 times a day. Would definitely consider coming back.

Recently stayed here with 2 of my friends and we all thought it was great! Apartment was lovely and clean and was cleaned every afternoon so always had fresh towels. The facilities were great, there are plenty of great restaurants about but would be easy enough to prepare food with the utilities in the apartment. The air conditioning was very much appreciated and there was a unit in each room which was great 👍 The staff on the desk were always friendly and greeted us everytime we walked through the door, we arrived on quite a late flight and they offered to cook us a pizza on arrival which was a Godsend. You can also have reception book a taxi for you for 50c which then costs around €5 to get to the marina, which between a few people is very reasonably priced! However the walk to the marina is quite fun as there is a fitness circuit that runs pretty much most of the way there and is particularly entertaining when walking back to the apartment after a few too many drinks! Overall had a wonderful stay at Apartmentos Zarco and would definitely come back here if I visit Vilamoura again, many thanks! 😁

Generally I do not recommend. The owner should be ashamed of giving such a place to people. What we found in the room, especially the bed we slept on, may look like this... The kettle didn't work and the coffee machine was leaking. (The coffee machine was replaced when we reported it.) After a few days, cockroaches appeared in the bedroom. The only plus is that the receptionist was very nice and helpful. It was apartment number 4.

This is an honest review from someone not over fussy as long as it’s clean. Having spent a week at Kings Apartments, I’d definitely give it a wide berth for anyone thinking of booking. Good points: rooms nice and clean, beds comfortable although they’re more like camping beds. Avalina the receptionist is very helpful and very efficient. Cleaners are very pleasant and polite. Good location in respect of distance from the beach. Bad points: feels like we’re staying in the middle of The Bronx. Scenery outside is horrible with waste ground out front and run down tall apartments as the view from the back. The noise from the wider outside area consists of dogs none stop barking (and I can’t reinforce that enough, they were none stop!), gym about 20 metres away with equipment crashing as it’s an outdoor gym. Loud music being played late on from external high rise apartments. Not enough sunbeds around pool and found we had to pay extra for cushions and umbrellas. We found a huge cockroach in our bathroom one evening and outside is littered with dog poo. The walls in the apartment are paper thin so you can hear everything from next door and we were directly under the flight path for departing planes so it was very loud. Won’t be returning. Obvs 😕

If you want the party scene then not for you but if you like quiet and peaceful then perfect. Rooms basic but clean, beds are amazing and the lady on reception is very friendly and helpful. Easily walkable to beach, bars and shops. Beautifully kept gardens and surroundings. Pre arranged phone call to pick up our keys on arrival as we were landing at night made everything go smoothly. Paid wifi, which I found very good and free air conditioning. A perfect "get away from it all" break.

upgraded from north facing studio apartment, which was really lovely to an absolutely fantastic 1 bedroom, south facing apartment with large balcony.... so worth extra cost. Very clean and extra blankets appreciated as we there in January. Beach only 7 mins walk. good local restaurants and shops. near bus station. Highly recommended. We want to return next year .Photo is view from balcony.
