Haven't stayed here in a while but when I did rooms were great. We normally visit for the bar happy hour, top class cocktails at half price. Staff very friendly, no 1 barman Gil, real character.

We stayed here for my sisters hen weekend in June 2024. The whole weekend was absolutely beautiful! The hotel and location was perfect. Plenty of bars, restaurants and supermarkets within walking distance. Hotel on the beach with bars along the pier too. The hotel room was cosy and clean with a balcony. The all you can eat breakfast was delicious. Staff very friendly and helpful. Lovely clean pool. The hotels dated decor I loved it! I would recommend the hotel for an adult only stay due to low balcony and air conditioning fan unit on the balcony floor (not safe for children). I would definitely visit again.

We recently stayed at the Vasco da Gama hotel for a quiet off-season holiday. The hotel exceeded our expectations, offering a peaceful atmosphere perfect for relaxation. The majority of guests were 50 years and older, with only one or two children present, which suited our desire for a tranquil getaway.
Vasco da Gama's cleanliness was impressive throughout. Our room was spotless, comfortable, and well-appointed. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, going above and beyond to ensure our comfort. They even advised us on fair taxi fares when we called upon landing, demonstrating their commitment to guest satisfaction from the outset.
The hotel's proximity to the beach was a major highlight, with easy access just a short walk away. The on-site pool, measuring approximately 15m by 10m, was a delight - clean, spacious, and featuring a small fountain that created a soothing ambiance with its gentle water sounds. A conveniently located bar near the pool area provided refreshments.
While we didn't participate, Vasco da Gama hosts nightly entertainment events, catering to those seeking evening activities. For quieter moments, there's a charming library area where we observed guests playing cards or engaging in friendly conversations.
The town offers diverse dining options within a 5-10 minute walk, including fresh seafood, traditional Portuguese dishes, burger joints, and even a sushi place. The beachfront restaurants on the decking provided particularly scenic dining experiences.
Overall, our stay at Vasco da Gama was thoroughly enjoyable. The quiet atmosphere, friendly staff, and perfect location offering romantic beach walks and numerous dining options were exactly what we wanted. It struck an ideal balance between peaceful seclusion and easy access to local amenities. We would definitely return to Vasco da Gama for another relaxing holiday.

Relaxing holiday. Staff on the whole were friendly and approachable with the exception of one in reception who thought that giving guest information was not her job, unfortunately cannot remember her name. Rooms comfortable with plenty of storage space. Plenty of room round the pool and a beautiful beach on the doorstep. Not a place to go if you want a wild nightlife. Entertainment supplied in hotel was not our sort of thing.

Amazing food and great atmosphere. I couldnt recommend it more! We came here for 1 week with our 2 girls( ages 5 and 2) They kept busy with loads to do on the beach and in the poolside. Thankyou to all the staff! It was the best holiday.
