Overall I’d recommend staying here. However, there are some things to know. The room has no microwave and no fan in the bathroom. The water pressure is awful and the WiFi is useless. The rooms are clean and well maintained. The staff seems to be generally good. I booked a lake view room and although my room does face the direction of the lake, it’s on the ground floor so my only view is of the pool deck. It’s a pretty basic hotel so you are quite literally paying for the location. The location is fantastic so it makes up for the negative aspects. The “resort fee” is a little ridiculous, but that’s seems to be to norm these days. If you’re a light sleeper the type of construction of the building might be a concern. Every time someone rolls luggage or cleaning carts along the walkway on the floor above it echoes into the room. It didn’t bother me, but it was noticeable. The restaurant is decent but there is no included breakfast. The pool is fairly nice but the pool bar charges an automatic gratuity which is slightly off-putting. My experience has been generally positive so that’s why I’ve rated it as high as I have.

Love the hotel but paying over $30 to park after paying $225 for a room is a kind of highway robbery. Nowhere did we see pay to park when booking the room but I assume it’s probably in the fine print somewhere. On another note absolutely love the atmosphere. Love the outdoor restaurant near the pool. The hotel is beautiful. Will stay again.

My stay at this hotel was absolutely fantastic! The shuttle service to the Disney parks was incredibly convenient, and the bus drivers were fabulous—always friendly and helpful. The hotel also offers a convenient setup for guests who need to purchase anything, making the overall experience even better. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone planning a trip to the Disney parks!

** 🚨Terrible Experience at Wyndham Lake Buena Vista Disney Resort** 🚨
I had high hopes for our stay at the Wyndham Lake Buena Vista, but from the moment we arrived on Wednesday, nothing went as planned. We booked a lakefront room through our travel agent, only to be given a room overlooking the dumpster parking lot next to the loading dock. After spending 24 hours in this room, we started noticing something seriously wrong—everything felt damp. There was visible condensation on the dresser, and even the bed, sheets, and pillows felt wet. I woke up in the middle of the night with moisture all over my body and wet hair. We went to the front desk to report the issue and were told all the tower rooms were booked. The only other rooms available were also exterior perimeter rooms. We were offered to switch, but it was very late, and I had a crying, sleepy toddler with me. We were told they’d refund two nights of resort fees, so we decided to tough it out, thinking we'd be at the park most of the time anyway. But this morning was the last straw—everyone in our room woke up with little welts that looked like bug bites. We pulled back the sheets and mattress pad only to find mold and mildew on the mattress pad! How could a Disney partner hotel, supposedly child-friendly, allow such a health hazard? I took videos and pictures and immediately went to the front desk. Their response? A refund of resort fees and a discount for our next stay. That’s it. This is unacceptable for any hotel, let alone one affiliated with Disney. I felt it was important to share this experience so others can be aware. Be cautious if you're planning a stay at Wyndham Lake Buena Vista. What we experienced was far from a magical Disney experience—more like an epic fail.

Double queen room was clean but relatively small for the price; the bathroom is particularly challenging as it does not have a very good fan, but you can't leave the door open and get out of the shower because the door nearly touches the toilet when it's open, and both block your way out of the shower.
Location is excellent, really is just steps away from the Disney Springs area, and it has a complimentary shuttle to the Disney parks that is a lot less frequent than the Disney resort shuttles but frequent enough to plan around. The buses themselves are a bit of a challenge for anyone requiring ambulatory aids/scooters, as the back ramp takes a while to set up manually and leads to some delays. The bus is a double-decker with quite narrow stairs, so if you are traveling with younger children (i.e. tons of bags), then that makes for a bit of a hassle.
Service-wise, this location is very challenging to call. There was an error on our charges that I found after checking out, and when I tried to call the hotel with the phone number printed on my receipt, I was directed to a central line that took multiple pre-recorded messages, holds, and redirections to finally get me to someone who just asked me, "Did you try contacting the property?" (Obviously I did, that's why I called THIS number, and ended up with YOU on the phone! Why would you ask me this question??) Getting this error rectified has led to a chain of emails, none actually seeming to be aware of the original issue I had explained to the service personnel on the phone, which is VERY frustrating as the hotel staff communicate with a tone of blaming me for the error? I'm STILL waiting for this to be fixed.
As a very minor issue (but in retrospect, seems to be in line with this pattern of service-related problems), we tried to find a staff member at the bell-stand to pick up our luggage, but no one was there so the sign indicated to speak to the valet desk. We did so, and the staff member at the valet desk did not even say hello or make eye contact, just pointed behind us back at the bell-stand when we stated we needed to pick up our luggage. It was extremely rude. The staff member had actually returned to the bell-stand by the time the valet desk employee "spoke" to us (if you could even call it that), but since the desks are across from each other, when we are facing the valet desk we can't see that. I was very unimpressed; the bell-stand staff member was lovely and very helpful, but their colleague at the valet desk was the opposite.
Bottom line: If you want to have easy access to the parks more affordably than the Disney Resorts, this location fits the bill, but it's best for couples or smaller families given the small washroom layout (no access to a sink outside the bathroom either, so for best ease hopefully you're traveling with people that are comfortable with you using the sink while they're showering haha). Also, you best hope there are no issues with charges or other errors because it's a giant headache to get any of those fixed.
UPDATE: The chain of emails continues, the ongoing accusations that I am wrong continues despite the fact that the customer service representative has acknowledged the double charge on my account... why is it so hard to just get the erroneous double charge removed??? I am happy to pay what is due, but I refuse to pay for it twice!!!
