Very often these days 5 star hotels are defined by their name, not the actual experience, however the W Algarve delivered a 5 star experience- a rarity these days- starting before we even reached the hotel as we were emailed by their whenever wherever team. The staff were exceptional, the room was luxurious, the amenities were plentiful, and we felt we had a personalized visit. Absolutely recommended. My 9 year old said, “I could live here.”

I have stayed a week in this beautiful hotel. It is a modern hotel with lots of high-grade features and design elements. All in all the hotel is definitely high quality and beautiful located. I haven't found anything comparable on the Algarve which is such a beautiful spot of Europe.
The reason why I give only 4 stars (instead of the full 5 stars) is because the offering of activity and event is limited in this hotel. There are not tennis courts, no paddle courts and no beach volleyball options. Also the evenings are very quiet with not much going on in the hotel. So if you like a quiet holiday then this is perfect. If you are looking for activity and something vibrant then there is probably not enough going on for you in this hotel.

Our stay at W Algarve was truly unforgettable, thanks to the exceptional service provided by the entire team. From Carla at check-in, to Michael, Diego, Miguel at the valet, to the entire breakfast staff, the staff at the Bar, all created a very welcoming and relaxing experience for us. The property and our penthouse suite were simply amazing!
W Algarve is not just a beautiful destination but a place where service truly shines. We can’t wait to return!

John the valet was a star from start to end. The room was nice but we had problems. Having an engineer turn up at midnight was ridiculous. The door handle was also trapped and the stuff just shrugged it off. We were upgraded to a sea view superior third floor room and couldn't sleep due to the night club style events happening under our room. Completely shocking for £500+ a night.
The views and pool was the star and stunning wedding venue.
The spa is a literal joke. W should be embarrassed for charging an entry fee.
Breakfast was stunning, great coffee and selection.

Our stay at the W Algarve was nothing short of sensational. From the moment we arrived, we were treated like VIPs, with every request effortlessly and graciously fulfilled. The entire hotel staff greets you with a smile at every turn.
The rooms are checked and cleaned multiple times a day, and the entire property is impeccably maintained. It’s the perfect place to relax and unwind, as the outstanding service takes care of everything for you.
We highly recommend this hotel and would be thrilled to spend another vacation here.
