We stayed here for four nights with a group of 8. Throughout our stay, the service everywhere from reception to the bar/restaurant to housekeeping was top class. A special mention to Mario who remembered our names and details every time we passed by.
Food and drinks were a little pricey as expected, but good.
Rooms were nice and clean and with towels changed daily if required.
Location is perfect being only a few minutes walk from the Marina. We went the other way for food a couple of nights on the recommendations of the bar staff at the Caddyshack Bar at the end of the road.
Overall we had a restful, enjoyable stay and would not hesitate to return.

I recently stayed at Crowne Plaza Vilamoura for a few nights, and while there were some positive aspects, a few issues left me feeling underwhelmed.
To start with, I was disappointed to encounter silverfish in the bathroom on multiple occasions. This made the bathroom feel less clean and put a damper on the overall experience. Cleanliness is a basic expectation, and this was definitely below par.
Another issue was the EUR 25 deposit required per pool/beach towel. While I understand the need for security, this seemed excessive, especially for a standard hotel. It felt more like a hassle than a necessity.
The coffee capsules in the room costs EUR 2.5 which I have not encountered at any 5 star hotel I've stayed before.
Finally, the queue at breakfast was quite long most mornings.
On the positive side, we did get a nice surprise in our room on my birthday with a bottle of sparkling and cake.
Overall, while the hotel had some good points, these issues made my stay less enjoyable than I had hoped. I would not recommend or return to this hotel.

A stunning hotel, which leads directly onto the beach. To the right is the new vilamoura, with the yachts, bars, restaurants, and stunning sunset, and to the left of the hotel is miles of beach + the older town of Vilamoura .
The breakfast is delicious, a great variety . The lighting around the entire hotel has been so we'll thought through. It's all very soft lighting, giving everything a calm appeal.
On arrival, make sure you have a " spare" €25 per person, as you'll need to reserve a towel for your sunbeds.

This hotel is a Crowne Plaza in name only. None of the usual touches are there and there is an ongoing list of additional charges supported by a constant reference to the "Terms & Conditions". I've never stayed in a hotel that has charged for in room coffee (2.5 Euros) before, along with use of the indoor pool (14 Euros) and towels (25 Euros deposit). As noted by other visitors, the bare minimum of recognition is given to IHG status, with additional referral to the T&Cs as a defence.
The beach is not part of the hotel and is a seperate chargeable beach club.Breakfast was strictly controlled with signage up warning against any transgressions.
I can only assume the management have been burnt by selling cheap rooms to package tour operators and are trying to recoup their costs. Either that or the hotel is exiting the Crowne Plaza franchise and really doesn't care.

We spent a week there with our 2 boys. The service was superb and all staff were so incredibly friendly and helpful. The room was nice and light, with a great view. The pool was huge and the boys were happy to play in it all day long.
The breakfast and dinner buffets were fantastic and food was absolutely amazing.
Would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone
