Such a lovely hotel. I would definitely recommend this beautiful hotel. The staff were lovely and friendly. We had the breakfast every morning. Everything was fresh and so tasty. They brought me out a birthday cake on my birthday. I'm guessing they seen it on my passport as we didn't tell them! Lovely cake too. I felt so special thank you xx We went out of season at the beginning of March, so it was quite but it did pick up as we left.

The hotel was fantastic and very modern, one of the best hotels in the area. The rooms were perfect and very clean, the included breakfast was a nice touch too.
For the price it was very worthwhile and I’m glad I stayed here! The hotel also had a lovely aroma when you walked in and was very pleasant to spend time in. The spa was perfect with a spacious steam room, sauna and peaceful pools.
One thing I felt could’ve been improved slightly was the service, it wasn’t bad by any means but it wasn’t something I found to be outstanding like many 5* hotels, however the majority of staff were very pleasant and accommodating. Also the lobby music wasn’t for me personally, I feel as though classic hotel lobby music such as jazz would've been that extra touch to make the full experience feel premium.
Overall I think this Crowne Plaza is great and I would definitely recommend it to anyone wanting to stay in Vilamoura!

Our first time visiting Portugal/The Algarve and we certainly made the right choice in booking the Crowne Plaza.
Unfortunately we were there for 2 weeks during the storms, meaning we spent more time in the hotel room than we normally would - the heating in the room certainly came in handy - there were numerous occasions when we couldn't open the balcony doors without being blown off our feet - but the bedroom was super-cosy!
Everything about the large bedroom was faultless - massive bed with oh-so comfy mattress and pillows, so much wardrobe and drawer space for clothes/luggage storage, large dressing table and ample seating area. The bathroom was superb (still don't quite understand the floor to ceiling glass partition between the bedroom and bathroom 🤣) and massive walk-in shower area. The balcony was a good size with 2 large chairs and a table, and still plenty of room to walk around. (We had a 6th floor room on the Vilamoura side, with side sea view.)
The buffet breakfast was amazing - so much choice - just about anything you could want (including a glass of Prosecco if you were so inclined!). One slight 'niggle' - the hot food wasn't always as hot as it could have been, but that's a minor issue.
All the staff members were helpful, friendly and professional - Claudia on Reception was brilliant.
All areas of the hotel were spotlessly clean - members of the cleaning staff definitely having their work cut out when the rains came!
Another 'niggle' was the charge of €2.50 per coffee capsule once the 4 free ones had been used - petty for a 5* hotel! Not a problem coming from Yorkshire - we bought boxes of 10 capsules from the Supermarkets for €2.60🙃).
The only other fault was with the Restaurant. On the 1st evening our main course was brought to the table before we'd finished our starter. It was returned to the kitchen and presumably kept warm because when my 'rare' steak was served it had become 'medium' (not good enough for a 5*). Thinking this had been a 'one off' we gave them a 2nd chance. Disaster! This time the main course was brought THREE times before our starter was finished. Apparently the Restaurant policy is for the main course to be served 10 minutes after the starter!
Do yourselves a favour - book B&B and eat out, there are loads of great eating places near the hotel serving superb food at great prices.
The hotel only lost the 1* for service due to the issue with the Restaurant.
We had a fabulous holiday despite the weather - loads of walking and cycling - we hired bikes for 3 days at the end of our 2 weeks once the weather picked up.

We stayed here for four nights with a group of 8. Throughout our stay, the service everywhere from reception to the bar/restaurant to housekeeping was top class. A special mention to Mario who remembered our names and details every time we passed by.
Food and drinks were a little pricey as expected, but good.
Rooms were nice and clean and with towels changed daily if required.
Location is perfect being only a few minutes walk from the Marina. We went the other way for food a couple of nights on the recommendations of the bar staff at the Caddyshack Bar at the end of the road.
Overall we had a restful, enjoyable stay and would not hesitate to return.

This hotel is a Crowne Plaza in name only. None of the usual touches are there and there is an ongoing list of additional charges supported by a constant reference to the "Terms & Conditions". I've never stayed in a hotel that has charged for in room coffee (2.5 Euros) before, along with use of the indoor pool (14 Euros) and towels (25 Euros deposit). As noted by other visitors, the bare minimum of recognition is given to IHG status, with additional referral to the T&Cs as a defence.
The beach is not part of the hotel and is a seperate chargeable beach club.Breakfast was strictly controlled with signage up warning against any transgressions.
I can only assume the management have been burnt by selling cheap rooms to package tour operators and are trying to recoup their costs. Either that or the hotel is exiting the Crowne Plaza franchise and really doesn't care.
