Let us start well, the staff was kind and helpful. The location of the hotel is nice and in no time you are at a (quiet )beach. The hotel itself is clean but the rooms feel dated and could use an upgrade/ update. The food is not great ( large quantities kitchen), but don't expect a ( top) restaurant experience. I would recommend this hotel for those on a budget or those who just need a bunk to sleep.

Excellent hotel for the money you pay for it. You get even more than you would get anywhere else in Europe for the same price. All staff is really helpful and attentive. Overall hotel is very clean, quiet and its location is good. You will always find a free parking space nearby. Food is wonderfully tasty. We are going to this hotel already 3rd year in a row and we will definitely come back there again!

Fantastic stay! Hovima Caleta exceeded my expectations in just about every department. I loved my apartment style room, the fully stocked kitchenette is very handy. The location is great, incredible view of the ocean from my terrace. The pool is lovely, everything is very well maintained and it shows! Breakfast buffet was delicious and had lots of options. I was also shocked just how peaceful and quiet this location is in general. I would recommend this place to anyone and will definitely stay here again when I come back to Tenerife! Thank you!

Had a week's stay in a third floor excellence room which had a good sea view (308). We enjoyed our stay and the room was spotless and well maintained. Room was nice and quiet, blocking out most noises. We stayed half board. Food was generally quite varied and decent quality. Beer prices reasonable. Our room had air con, I gather some do not. Truffle chocolates on our pillows each evening and free bubbly for my birthday was a nice surprise (we didn't mention anything but had some cards). Location is good, the old sea front of caleta is great - fab restaurants/bars but quiet. My main grumble would be that the pool was very deep, only a small amount of it was less than 1.5m. The hotel reception booked a car for us one day which was about £70, drove up to the volcano which was probably the highlight for us.

I have been staying at this hotel for three years now, and I want to express my gratitude and satisfaction. Although the hotel is not ultra-modern, the facilities are very well-maintained, the rooms are comfortable and a good size, and what truly makes the difference is the exceptional staff. I wouldn’t change this hotel for anything because, when I arrive, I already know the whole team, and it feels like being with family.
I would like to extend special thanks to the waiters Aura, Ankor, and Eduardo, who were always attentive to my child’s needs. Their care and warmth are unmatched. I’d also like to thank the chefs Teo and Carlos, who were always happy to explain the menu details. I must say, the food was delicious, and I was pleasantly surprised by the improvement in how the fish was prepared – a great step forward!
However, I have a small suggestion for further improvement: please avoid using pre-packaged mojo picón sauces. The difference is very noticeable, and making these authentic sauces shouldn’t take much effort. Canarian food is such an essential part of the experience, and we were disappointed by this change. Additionally, for the children’s menu, it would be great to include healthier options, such as grilled chicken breast. It’s a simple addition and would offer a more balanced alternative to the usual nuggets and pasta with tomato sauce.
This year, we attended the Canarian dinner for the first time, and it was a wonderful experience. The food was exquisite, the atmosphere was enhanced by live Sting music, and the chef even adapted the menu for my little one. I also appreciate the efforts of the entertainment staff, who tried to help with my three-year-old, even though he’s very cheeky! It was the closest we’ve come to a romantic dinner in a long time, and I value the team’s dedication. A special thank you to **Eduardo** for making this possible!
Lastly, I want to highlight the friendliness of the entertainment team and Julie at reception, who was always cheerful and helpful.
