The service is excellent! No complaints. You never struggle to find someone happy to help at the front desk.
The rooms are a bit small for a resort catering to families visiting Disney, though. Literally on top of eachother of your have more than 2 people in the room. You do wake up to African wildlife right outside your room, but I don't think that makes up for the cramped quarters, and the balcony furniture is wholly uncomfortable. Additionally, the lodge itself is just too big to be convenient for anything. It's a hike to every single amenity before/after hiking around the parks all day.
For being "on resort" it's a bit far removed from everything except Animal Kingdom. The shuttle service is great, but more connectivity to the other parks would be ideal.

We love this resort! The balconies are perfect for early morning and afternoon animal sightings. Plenty of quick service, fancy and regular dining options. Shopping is fun and unique. The pools never feel overly crowded the lobbies are stunning and the staff is always friendly. Fun cultural activities for kids and adults, bar and lounge options are great, and did I mention that it never feels crowded?!

This is a beautiful resort from top to bottom. The animals, the grounds, the restaurants, there is something for everyone and you don't have to leave the property if you don't want to. And the staff, every single person is very friendly and helpful. And I'd like to give a special shout out to Savannah, she was in Bell service while we were there, she went out of her way to make sure we had the best experience we could, and for that, I'd like to say thank you! We looked for her on the day we left but she had already finished her shift. Thank you to everyone who made our stay special. PS, we were there for our sons wedding!🥂🍾🌹

This resort has all the amenities you could hope to have to be comfortable during your stay. The restaurant has an amazing breakfast buffet. The fitness center is very well organized and has everything you need to have an awesome workout. Location is very convenient with amazing views from the room of the animals. It is worth it to get a room with a view of the giraffes.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge is pure magic. The moment you step inside, you feel like you’ve traveled to a different continent. The lobby is absolutely stunning, with beautiful African-inspired decor and the kind of warmth that makes you want to stay forever.
But let’s be real—the highlight is stepping out onto your balcony and seeing animals like giraffes, zebras, and antelopes just casually roaming around. It’s not every day you sip your morning coffee with a giraffe in the background!
The staff here go out of their way to make everything feel special. Everyone is friendly and genuinely excited to share little bits of African culture with you.
Oh, and the food… don’t skip Boma! Their breakfast buffet is amazing, and you’ll be dreaming about their zebra domes for days. The pool area is also perfect if you need a break from the parks—relaxing and beautiful.
Animal Kingdom Lodge isn’t just a place to stay; it’s an experience. It’s the kind of Disney magic that sticks with you long after you’ve left. Definitely worth it!
