Don't let the bad reviews scare you. We just spent a week in a 2 bedroom room lock out suite. The rooms were clean and well equipped, appliances appeared new and worked well. Having the lock-out room was great because we were able to use 2 ovens and 2 microwaves to prepare Thanksgiving dinner. Resort is convenient to all of the parks. The pools were clean and refreshing and the hot tub was a welcome site at the end of Long days at Disney. We ordered from the restaurant one evening, the food was good and reasonably priced, and the bartender/server was friendly and helpful. Our three teenage kids enjoyed the Starbucks on site, the pools, and hunting for lizards. Do be aware the photos we saw showed 2 queen beds in one of the rooms, but it was a king bed in each side of the lock out and a pull out sofa in each living room area. It worked great for us as we were one family, but I can see that being an issue if you need use of both living rooms and are expecting 2 beds in the bedroom.

I received this 7 day vacation as a gift for going to see a Wyndham time share presentation. We paid $225 to upgrade to a two bedroom.
The rooms were mostly clean but dated. The master bathroom had a jacuzzi tub but the grout had some mold (typical for Florida) so I didn’t use it. The kitchen was sparsely furnished with dishes and utensils.
The location was nice. About a 20 minute drive to Disney and 2 miles from Old Town. We used the volleyball court and pools. Pools were pretty nice. Service was decent. I had to call the front desk about people in the pool at 3am making a crazy amount of noise. It turned out that it they were in an adjacent property but they took care of the noise. Also, when we wanted to use the grill, they came out with utensils and fired it up for us.
When checking in, I was sent to get a parking pass. It turned out the parking pass guy was just there to sign people up for another time share presentation. I told him I wasn’t up for it, but he made it sound like it was part of the deal of the “gift” we got from Wyndham. It wasn’t. Say no to this if it happens to you!!! The guy said “an hour” but this presentation for Capital Vacations took 3 hours!! And if you do get roped in to the presentation, don’t buy!!! Look into aftermarket points before you go. There are tons of people trying to get out of their ownership. Buying makes zero financial sense.
All in all the room was nice for the price. We had a nice time except for the high pressure sales presentation.

The rooms without renovations are fairly decent. But the service here is pure trash!!! Either no one answers the phones or they leave you on hold forever. The location is fairly decent. It’s only 15-20 minutes from the main attractions but when u count traffic that time adds up. The pools are more for the children. Some of the staff are freaking amazing like the ones that work at the Starbucks and the activities and the bar. But everyone else is a hit or miss. I expected more but for the price I paid, whatever received was expected!!

I recently stayed at Calypso Cay by Capital Vacations, and it was a fantastic experience! From the moment we arrived, Ashley, our receptionist, made us feel incredibly welcome. She was friendly, efficient, and provided us with all the information we needed for a great stay. The resort itself is beautiful, with well-maintained grounds and plenty of amenities to keep everyone entertained. The rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable, making it easy to relax after a day of exploring. Overall, I highly recommend Calypso Cay for anyone looking for a memorable vacation spot!

My check in experience could not have been any better Claudiq and Shianne gave the best front desk customer service I have received in along time. They were very patient and understanding and explained everything with perfection. If the were graded on a skill 1-10 it would definitely be a 10
