Fab location. Could see the beach from our room. Room a bit small but adequate. Comfy beds. Central location near pubs and clubs but not noisy at night. Plenty of sun loungers round pool. Choice of food amazing. Even a great selection at lunch time. Staff were brilliant all over hotel.

Arrived 7/04/2025, food lovely, catering staff, cleaning staff, bar staff, absolutely great, early hours Thursday morning, man came into our room @2.28am, said it was his room, in fact he saw our things around the room, he started to close the door, I ran towards him told him to get out, he showed me on his phone, his room number which was in the annex, of the hotel, a staff member arrived to which she saw him on camera, she brought him to his room, I rang down, nothing can be done till 9,30 morning time, we asked to see manager, Miguel, friendly enough, offered two Drinks each, to which we refused, as it was total inconvenience, to our holiday, I suggested if we booked online about discount, that came back @10 pc, no not good enough, we where told our room had to be unlocked, no one asked this man why, he entered our room, no staff member asked if we where ok, it seemed to be our fault, by couple staff members, seems we made big deal out of a man entering our room, that we paid for, same day the locks where changed obviously, they got it wrong, with the door numbers, lovely hotel but it needs over haul, of proper management, that listens, to the customer, unfortunately we won't return,

Depends what you want from your location. But this hotel is located right at the top of the strip, so close by for a short walk home. The hotel was clean, although I only ate breakfast on the morning we left. There was lots of choice and food tasted good.

Recently had a weeks stay,Room 307 ,which faced the street,(which we requested)The hotel staff in all areas are very friendly, (and happy to help,)All areas of the hotel spotless, The food was exceptional, and hot.,with a great selection. The room had hairdryer, safe(free)fridge,TV,we had large twin beds, the rooms where cleaned everyday, plenty of towel changes(leave in the bath/shower if want new)No kettle,,Nice reading room.Good. entertainment in the hotel bar, and terrace bar,Great location ,could be a little noisy when Morgans Tavern was closing,if balcony window open, but couldn't hear when closed,,our choice to be at the front, thought would get more sun,so if your a light sleeper perhaps get pool view at the back.Yes I would stay again,,What I thought was good, was if your departing before restaurant is open, providing you let them know before 8pm the day before, you can go in restaurant 5am to 7.30am for continental breakfast . Cereals, toast, cheese ham, biscuits, juice, tea or coffee. The hotel is a short walk to the beach and market, near Western saloon ,well worth a stay here

This was mine and my partners second stay at this hotel but the first for 4 of our travelling party. I know that this hotel is of a high standard, especially the food and service. One of our party said it was the best buffet food and selection they had experienced in a hotel, and we all agreed. The rest of our party were equally impressed. I'd like to give special mention to Merchee from the restaurant, she is a credit to the hotel and extremely friendly. She even remembered us from our stay from November 2023.
We were also impressed with the Gala Dinner provided on New Years eve, it was unexpected but most welcome. We weren't able to stay until midnight as we had arranged to meet friends at the beach, however the atmosphere, food and service from all the staff was excellent - thank you!!!
We only had one slight reason to complain about the stay. One of our party's case was misplaced by the airline so we arrived at the hotel without it. On check in the receptionists were really helpful and offered to help us out if we needed them to. When we received message a day later that the case was located and we needed to call a number to arrange delivery, we had issues using our mobiles so asked at reception if they could help, either by calling for us to help with the language barrier, or if we could at least use a phone line. The receptionist was different to check in, her name was Ana and was quite unhelpful, even to the point that she was rude. In the end she tried to call once and said the line was engaged, and that was the end of her help. This was a disappointment because every other member of staff was amazing, helpful and friendly, it's just a shame we had to encounter this.
Despite this one small reason to complain, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Calypso, and I have no doubt that we will be back again in the future. I will definitely be recommending to family and friends as well.
