I was nearly put off booking this hotel because of the poor food reviews. I’ve got to say, I am a foodie and I was not disappointed with half board here. Every time I chose to eat at the hotel, both breakfast and dinner buffet were excellent. Plenty of choice, both European and local cuisine. Ingredients are great and everything is fresh. The spa on the rooftop is absolutely brilliant and reasonably priced for the offering. The pool is nice and clean, the hotel rooms great. It doesn’t have a worn out feeling to it.

How can this be a 4-star hotel? My experience at this hotel was incredibly disappointing, especially considering it is supposed to be 4 stars. The rooms were basic and poorly equipped: no water, no kettle, and no fridge, with furniture that seemed from another era. Moreover, the “spa” they advertise was not included in the price, something they should make clearer. The exterior was full of cockroaches, which was already unpleasant, but the worst part was finding a cockroach in the buffet food on the last day. Completely unacceptable for a hotel of this category. The only good thing was the staff, who were friendly despite being clearly overworked and exploited. I don’t understand how this hotel can still have 4 stars. I would not recommend it under any circumstances.

Lovely hotel, the rooms are clean but have no fridge or tea/coffee making facilities, a little dated and need a little investment for new showers, bidets, hand basin and toilet, the room attendants are all very friendly and will go the extra to make your stay as comfortable as possible, we stayed b&b for a week, which was just about long enough. Breakfast becomes a bit repetitive, and the restaurants outside the hotel provide basically the same sort of food. Drinks at the hotel are very reasonable and not too expensive. The biggest letdown for us was the pool area, which was a bit too quiet for us, no music playing, and when you play your own, someone is always there to complain about it, there are some rather comfy four poster sun beds but these are an extra cost at €25 per day. On the top floor of the hotel there is a gym and a spar pool but the latter will cost you an extra €18 per day the gym however is free, unlike the ice of all things if you have a drink in your room and need some ice don't ask at the pool bar they will charge you €1 for a cup full. Other than that, it's not a bad hotel . (Outside the hotel, please be careful, it has to be the first time in my life I have openly been offered class a drugs buy the people selling the copy bags and shirts)

We are currently staying at the Sol Costa Atlantis in Tenerife, and while the first three days were satisfactory, our experience has unfortunately taken a turn for the worse. Initially, we were impressed with the quality of the food, the cleanliness of the rooms, and the high level of service in the dining area. However, by the fourth day of our stay, several issues have emerged that are quite disappointing. For three consecutive evenings, we have not been attended to during dinner, which means we haven't been able to order drinks. Additionally, the room cleaning has become very superficial, with our personal items being moved around rather carelessly. The hotel itself is also in need of serious maintenance. The wallpaper is peeling in several areas, and the furniture is noticeably worn out, which is not what we would expect from a four-star establishment. On a positive note, the hotel's location in the center of Puerto de la Cruz is excellent, offering easy access to many attractions. The rooms with ocean views, available for an additional fee, are one of the few strong points of this hotel, providing beautiful scenery. However, the central location also comes with a significant amount of street noise, which can be disturbing at times. Overall, while the beginning of our stay was pleasant, the lack of consistency in service, the hotel's deteriorating condition have left us disappointed. We hope to see improvements during the remainder of our stay, but as it stands, we wouldn't recommend the Sol Costa Atlantis unless these issues are addressed.

Lovely location right by the beach. Plenty to do in the area with plenty of bars and cafes that are cheap and reasonable. For the most part staff are friendly. Cleaning staff were good. However what makes this a one star review for me is the fact that the worker at the pool side bar is short changing people. I gave a €50 for two drinks and only got €29 back but it wasn’t until I sat back down at the lounger did I realise. Not being a confrontational person I left the issue as I assumed it’s a small mistake. But the same thing happened to my mother two days later. She only brings 1 €50 note down each day for her drinks and it was her first drink of the day. She got a gin and tonic and a beer and played using the note. The lady at the bar only gave her €12 back and when my mother questioned her in it she was argued with and shouted at by the worker and I left to get a manager when coming down with the young manager the worker started crying I assume to help her case. Unfortunately as there was no cameras they would not listen to our claims or even check if the money was there or if the worker had it she just told us to call the police if we were that bothered. I refused to have drinks there again. There were also other hotel goers who overheard the commotion and chipped in saying the same thing had been happening to them since they arrived still nothing is done. That woman is most definitely short changing people in purpose as it was happening too often to be a mistake. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel and if you are there be careful of what you paid and what change your given!

I had a great experience staying at this hotel. The service from the staff was excellent—always friendly, attentive, and ready to help. Their warm attitude made the stay even more enjoyable. The food was delicious, with plenty of variety to suit all tastes. Every meal was fresh and well-prepared, offering options for both healthy eaters and those looking to indulge. The location of the hotel is also a major highlight, conveniently situated with easy access to local attractions and stunning views. We don't know how this is 4* we were here for 6 nights all-inclusive. 2 of the nights the food was really good, the other 4 nights, the selection for lunch and evening was poor, if you don't like chicken on the bone or rabbit, go somewhere else... You can't get a coffee before 8 o'clock, and even after 8clock, you can only get coffee from the resteraunt where you can't take your cups out, so if you want a coffee in your room, take a kettle is the only option There is no entertainment, not even music, the only music we heard was from the laundry van that was parked outside the main seating area for an hour each night at about 8 o'clock in the evening, blocking all views. One day out of the 6, the pool bar was closed, meaning the ONLY way to get a drink (even just a mouthful of water) around the pool was go down 8 floors through reception into the bar, then take it back up. The rooms were clean, and most of the staff really friendly. The only thing that was great was the views from the rooftop pool... but very poor experience

Room sizes are good, but need modernising.staff are extremely friendly and welcoming. Location is perfect. Nice and clean hotel. Personally I wouldn't say it's a 4 star hotel but with a little modernising and rectified maintenance it very well could be. I would recommend this hotel to couples, older families and solo holidaymakers. Not much for younger children to do .

We came here for a week me and a couple friends turned up early hours in morning due to flight there was nothing open in the hotel to grab something to eat and the vending machine was empty apart from a few chocolate bars . When we went to the room the smell from the bathroom was horrible and limescale in the bath only enough towels for 1 person and there was 2 of us in a room are beds only got changed once and never got clean towels or anything they just folded them up and hang them back up , they also put damp bedding on . The breakfast is horrible it’s always cold and they water down the beans … The staff are very rude apart from one lady she is very polite and friendly , the food for lunch considering you don’t get a nice selection me and my friends had a bill chucked at us with 45€ witch was ridiculous, as for drinks don’t expect them to bring the right one out if they do at all. We will never come here ever again ever never been in such a rude environment oh and also they will give you a yellow card if you are to drink as it happened to another guy who was also here… you can never just relax as they watch you constantly there was loose sockets hanging off the wall lights broken anyway that’s all just know not to come here !!

Firstly I would like to address some of the negative comments I have read about this hotel. Personally, I did not encounter any significant issues during my stay, and I found the experience to be enjoyable overall. I stayed on an all-inclusive basis, and the food was excellent. Meals were unlimited during the restaurant's opening hours, and the variety was impressive. As someone following a healthy eating plan, I was delighted to find nutritious options every day, including fresh salads and lean proteins. For my friends who were less health-conscious, there were plenty of indulgent options, including delicious desserts. Breakfast was the same daily, but lunch and dinner menus changed, offering a variety of proteins like beef, pork, chicken, tuna, duck, turkey, and even rabbit. The salad bar was well-stocked and kept on ice, ensuring freshness. I didn’t see any insects, though it’s worth noting that in a hot country, the occasional insect might fly in from outside. The pool bar was a highlight, offering stunning views from the roof, including a clear view of the volcano. It was open most days, except for one when high winds prompted the hotel to open the ground-floor bar instead. On Friday, there was live music, adding a lively touch to the evening. The reception also had a tourist information desk, which was incredibly helpful. They helped us create a personalized plan of activities and places to visit—all free of charge. Additionally, we were able to purchase tickets for Loro Park and Siam Park directly from them at a discounted rate, which was very convenient and saved us time and money. Wi-Fi was generally good, though the signal occasionally dropped, which could be slightly frustrating. The rooms were clean and well-maintained, albeit slightly dated. Housekeeping was efficient, with daily cleaning ensuring a pleasant stay. The staff were exceptional—friendly and attentive. They remembered our drink preferences and often had our drinks ready upon arrival. By the end of our stay, they even prepared a table for us without being asked, which was a thoughtful gesture. The hotel's location is excellent, offering convenience and easy access to nearby attractions. Overall, I had a wonderful experience and would recommend this hotel to others. It’s a great choice for those looking for variety, comfort, and exceptional service in a beautiful setting.

I don't do holidays but needed a break due to health. So chose a hotel that was adults only and not in the centre of the town so it would be quiet. Turned out we found a gem. The hotel looks beautiful Sat facing the mountain on one side and the sea on the other. Clean and spacious inside. The staff inside are so polite and friendly. We went in November the weather being still warm but we hoped also the town would be quiet. Which it was. The hotel pool was always quiet so became my place to sit undisturbed a lovely bar to get a drink and snack when we wanted. Though we would often go to the restaurant as there was always a lovely choice. The hotel made my holiday and proved to be the perfect place for us to unwind. Thank you to all there. Hope to return soon.

I stayed at this hotel for 5 days as part of a holiday package through LoveHolidays. This is my first time in Tenerife and i can say, this hotel is very friendly to tourists. The Hotel is huge with lots of services. I purchased all inclusive as part of my package deal. Breakfast, lunch and dinner is served in a buffet style so you will never go hungry. Some drinks are not part of the inclusive deal but still reasonably priced. There is a pool and lots of sunbeds. The rooms are cleaned daily. There is a gym but you will need to put down a 10 Euro deposit to access this -- which is reasonable. Darts and dancing is available in sessions by the pool. There is also a bar which offers snacks and drinks if you are all inclusive too. The staff are very friendly in nature and do not hesitate to help you if you need it. As an English Tourist, i felt very welcomed. This hotel is mainly focused on a couples getaway. I do recommend this hotel for couples. Sometimes, there are music events which take place by the pool and lobby area.

We had a nice 7 night half board stay here. Great hotel(some places are a little tired) and the staff are all friendly and welcoming. We had a sea room suite which was very comfortable and larger than we thought. The huge bed was very comfy. We thought the food might be a bit samey but it had lots of variety and they do a great deal(€3) on a cocktail as you go in. That’s a nice touch we enjoyed most evenings. The restaurant has different areas to sit in so you can mix it up. The hotel isn’t on the beach front but it’s not a long walk if you wanted to go to the beach but it is uphill on the way back! We ventured into town most days too. There are lovely old town/back streets to explore and grab a coffee. Definitely a taxi back though which was never more than €5. Finally, nothing to do about the hotel but a word about the weather. The south of the island gets better weather. I think the north , being a tad closer to Teide attracts the clouds.

Location is great for me who was happy to spend time in the hotel and pool. My husband likes to explore the town and it’s a good 10-15 min walk in to town, down hill which means a big walk back up. But then for €5 one way is not a bad shout and also free transport from hotel in to town is a good option too

Wonderful experience at this hotel. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful, special shoutout to the entertainment crew and the bartender Ramerandt, I recommend his signature cocktail which was delicious. Great entertainment in the evenings and table service most nights. Rooms have been decorated really well and are very clean. There is a good selection of food and they have themed nights which is fun. The only let down is the location, not much to do nearby, the beach is closed due to contamination and there isn’t anywhere to go locally for drinks outside of the hotel. Travelling for excursions took 2+ hours to get to the south side for Siam Park and dolphin watching. If this hotel and all staff were in the South it would be exceptional. Thank you for a wonderful holiday experience!

We love Tenerife!! We wanted a chilled week in the sun, nice apartment and pool. The apartment was awful…..basic, damaged kitchen units - we complained and was shown alternative room - it was worse than we had so we had to stay. We were provided with an iron that had its outer cable damaged and exposing inner wires…. We had a sockets that was hanging out of the wall - reported four times and still not repaired…the crockery store was dirty and was never able to be cleaned no matter how we tried…. The hotel’s pictures say it’s been refurbed - not our experience. It was almost like stepping back to the 1980’s… this is not the Tenerife we know and love. Very disappointed

Very disappointed. I usually don't have high expectations and this hotel couldn't meet any of them. I arrived in the hotel late at night, and I asked the receptionist guy at the check in to recommend me some places to visit, restaurants where to eat in the city. He told me to come back in the morning and ask again... The studio apartment smelled awful when I arrived. All the photos I uploaded with this review were taken when I entered the apartment, before touching anything. The furniture is old and worn out, the curtains, the tablecloth and the walls had dirty spots. In the bathroom I found hair on the toilet seat when I entered... disgusting. I also booked breakfast, which was ok, standard hotel breakfast. In the restaurant it was a challenge every day to find a clean plate, glass and cutlery... the "freshly set" tables were also dirty every morning. The only reason I'm giving 2 stars and not 1 is the location. The hotel is close to the city centre which you can reach by a few minutes walk, there is a supermarket next to the hotel, free parking on the nearby streets and a bus stop for the public transport 2 minutes from the hotel. Overall I didn't have a nice experience in this hotel and wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

I stayed in the apartments/hotel for 4 nights (leaving today) the hotel it’s self walking in is clean and the staff are fab and very friendly, however my room was infested with bugs/ cockroaches, after speaking to the receptionist I was given a spray to use which didn’t help at all, in the space of 4 days I seen around 20 cockroaches in my room, the location of the hotel is fab but I recommend staying else where due to the bugs, sleeping was very uncomfortable worrying and also the pillows are neck killers lol! I slept on my towel in my bed the full time as I have heard others mention bed bugs also. It’s a shame as the hotel is located in a perfect area and the staff are very friendly. Pool is basic but does the job.

We spent 5 days here and it was great ! The barman was really helpful and lovely to both myself and my girlfriend we stopped at the pool bar most days because of his kindness. The reception staff was also helpful and kind helping me to phone a taxi on the last day and storing our bags was amazing. The room was nothing special but our sheets were changed constantly and fresh towels were always supplied. I enjoyed my stay over all.

I regret to say that my experience with this service was highly disappointing. Firstly, there was a lack of transparency regarding the deposit for the air conditioning remote, with no mention of the need to retain the receipt. Despite presenting a bank statement as proof, the staff member refused to return our deposit. Additionally, the rooms were infested with cockroaches and insects, making for an uncomfortable stay. The overall customer service was unsatisfactory, leaving much to be desired.

Nice hotel and friendly staff, they are still Spanish so don't expect British manners though! The pool is actuary nicer than the pictures you see but don't bring your inflatables as they're not allowed. The only downside of the hotel is the all-inclusive option. The food is lovely and great variety but you can only eat at the set meal times, there's nothing available in between. The pool bar is open from 10-18:30 but shuts for 30 minutes at lunch time, then the other bar opens until 22:00, so the last 30 minutes, stock up on your drinks for the rest of the night! If you go into the town be prepared for a long steep walk back but it is through lovely gardens with waterfalls and great views or you can get a taxi as most people seem to do.

Good, but basic hotel. There is physically demanding walking through steps to the sea and to the town. An alternative would be a taxi or rented car. Many people chose half board option as it is not worth going back and forth during the day. Hotel has a pool, a small garden and other facilities available when paid extra. Food is basic and the same every day with some changes. I liked different fish for five consecutive days. Fruit was almost non existent. Use of the bar was okay but with time limits. There was no access to fresh water outside meal times apart from all inclusive option (at the bar). Nonetheless, I enjoyed my holiday. It's not about the hotel. It's about how we feel about ourselves and how we choose to spend time there. It's a beautiful island...

After reading the reviews, I went there with very low expectations but I can honestly say, it was much worse. The place genuinely looked like an old retirement home. The furniture looked like it hasn’t been changed since the 1960s and the layout was just as depressing. I wanted to run out the hotel as soon as I walked in. The staff were unfriendly and spoke minimal English. They looked very unbothered every time I spoke them and I don’t think the words ‘please’ and ‘thank you’ exists in their vocabulary. And the food? Where do I even start. As someone who required halal food, my options were very limited. They had meat with almost every dish and it got to the point where I had to chose the meat option and physically pick the meat out so I could eat the rest, simply because the other options were just not edible. The fish tasted like it hadn’t been washed for years. All they did was dash it tomato sauce and sprinkle clam shells around it for decoration. I could honestly get my 2 year old nephew to cook and he’ll do the same thing. But the cherry on top of the cake was they had hard bits of uncooked pasta within the spaghetti. Like, how does that even happen? How could one mess up spaghetti? I’m honestly running out of words here. Our room was also very stuffy and had minimal ventilation despite having a small balcony. We didn’t even have a window in our toilet and after eating the hotel food, trust me you’ll need one. Furthermore, I once went to use the toilet downstairs. I assumed it had just got cleaned but they used so much chlorine inside that it made my eyes tear up and made me feel dizzy. All jokes aside, this is a serious health hazard and it could’ve had serious repercussions on other visitors. The only plus side I would say is the pool and if you’re lucky, you get a decent view. Nonetheless, the only reason to why I have 1 star is because I had no option to give 0.

The hotel itself or some parts of it needs updates however the staff of this hotel, their organisation and professionalism is outstanding, maybe I wish to see more smiling faces but I was feeling comfortable and my enquiries have been answered and resolved straight away. One thing was letting down this hotel - the food. The choice was very limited and repetitive however enough to feel full. The room we had after a changed from a room with no view, had a breathtaking view on the town, volcano and sea with small balcony enough for us two. Overall our stay was nice, comfortable and definitely memorable, would get back there. Thank you

The hotel is very nice but sadly in need of some money being spent on it to make it better. It looks and feels sad. The hotel has reading room pool table and bar and a big reception area. It has an outside swimming pool with loungers and toilets with showers and a changing room they also have a pool bar that is open all day long . The staff are excellent and very helpful and friendly. The food during our stay as been very very good. Buffet style meals but plenty of choose at all meals. We were half board but paid 10€ each extra on the days we stayed around the hotel. This gave us lunch and all our drinks (local equivalent) from 10am until 10pm. Well worth it as 2 drinks at night were 11€ for a g&t. Over all a great stay but if elegance spent some money on updating the hotel it would have definitely been 5☆

My husband and I recently stayed at the Hotel & The Oriental Spa Garden and had the most amazing experience. We stayed for 5 nights and the staff were absolutely amazing the entire time. When we arrived, the front desk staff were very helpful and Antonio (I believe was his name) showed us to our room. Once in the room, he explained several things about the room which was a great way to familiarize ourselves with the space we would call home for the next few days. The front desk staff were extremely friendly and professional our entire stay. We were able to call and easily get an iron, taxi etc. The attention to detail in the room was superb. We especially enjoyed the pillow menu options and turn down service. The breakfast was outstanding and a lovely way to start the day. We utilized the spa area with a couples massage and played tennis. I love fresh flowers and the fresh rose in the bathroom was a wonderful touch. We dined at The Oriental and II Pappagallo which were both delicious. The live music each night was a fun treat for a wind down at the end of the evening. Hotel Botanico is a true Luxury Hotel and I thank the entire staff for making our trip to Tenerife so wonderful.

I have to say I didn't have extremely high expectations because of some google reviews but I was very surprised. It's the nicest hotel I've ever been to. Everything was excellent. I couldn't imagine staying anywhere else in tenerife.

Beautiful hotel in an amazing location. Some fantastic wildlife in the gardens & grounds too. The staff are wonderful, very attentive & polite. The food is excellant, we ate in every restaurant and the food didn't disappoint. Rooms are cleaned everyday to the hightest of standards and we loved how they prepared the rooms at night for you. Little cakes & chocolates left during the day was a lovely treat. The spa is fantastic and deserves all the awards they have received. We will be back. I can't wait.

This hotel is beautiful and you're cared for - from check in all the way through. Only criticism is the food and drinks are expensive in the hotel (food especially at the outdoor bar). The rooms are huge and comfortable with a fridge, safe, twa/coffee facilities.. Balconies comfy with nice furniture. Definitely recommend

It was an amazing holidays, while you get what you expect from a 5* hotel, the most outstanding point was the service. The staff is wonderful and caring and really helps you. We went with a baby and they were organising around him. . Hotel is very clean and very well maintained, it is as described on pictures from the booking. Mix of style from old European and Thai. . Spa, garden and amenities are great and relaxing. November was a great time to go as there was always space for anything and it was not crowded. There is included several swimming pools (one indoor heated), jacuzzis, fountain, saunas of every type, water beds, yoga room and gym room. You can also pay massages and haircut but we havent tried. . Food was great as well, in particular Papagallo and Oriental. Parilla was not the best experience due to slowness and lack of professionalism. I'd recommend the other two where food and service were outstanding. All kitchens are open kitchens, food is fresh and high quality. Breakfast is a buffet with everything you might want. There is also a person dedicated to eggs and crepes. . Service is the most outstanding as I mentioned. Reception is really caring. We had to take the baby to hopital they helped us a lot with calling people, but also cared later to check on us. Always calm and that also helped us. Room staff also very present, make sure to use the Do not disturb card as they have several different cleaning processes through the day. Restaurant staff from Papagallo and Oriental will remember how you request things/orders and will prepare for next times. Customer relationship Susana (hopefully got the name right!) was really caring to make sure we had great experience, was also sharing about the hotel history and art. . The hotel is close to the beach but it is a bit of climbing on the way back! Just in case the hotel has a shuttle system as well every hour or something like that. Would personally stay in the spa garden! . In term of timing, November was good choice. Not crowded, 24-27 degrees, lower price. Would definitely recommend and will go again for sure.

I'm nearly at the end of my 6 night stay here and I've had a wonderful time. The room has everything I need, it's clean and well equipped. The room has been cleaned almost every day. I'm in a front facing room where I can sit with a drink on the balcony and watch the world go by outside. This does mean I need earplugs at night as it can be a little noisy but this isn't an issue for me. The pool area and gardens are beautiful and so well kept, it's lovely to buy a drink from the bar and just sit for a while. The breakfasts have been great, with plenty of choice. I particularly love the fresh fruits and breads. Even though I never mentioned it, someone in the hotel must have noticed from my passport that it was my birthday during the stay and I came back from a day out with friends in Gran Canaria to find a bottle of wine and a card from the hotel for my birthday. This is a special kind of kindness and attention to detail, and it's likely to bring me back to the Coral Teide Mar one day in the future. Finally, I'd like to mention that I have not seen any bugs or rats mentioned in other reviews. Not in my room or anywhere else. Also, I'm Welsh and no other guests or staff have been rude to me for being British. I've felt very welcome in both the hotel and the town.

Rooms have all you need, TV, kettle, toaster, microwave, fridge, hobs and a hairdryer. Lovely garden and pool. On my partners birthday they left a bottle of sparkling wine in the room. Cleaning is five days a week. The area has several bars and restaurants. Bit of a walk down to the town centre, a taxi back will cost around €5.

Liked this hotel. Lovely gardens and pool. Long walk to centre bit enjoyable walk and you can get the bus up. Loads of bars and restaurants and a nightclub although was very quiet so didn't bother. Botanoca jardines is close by. Lovely fauna and flora in the area. The fixtures and fittings were tired but didn't bother me.

Me and my friend stayed here for a week in November, we were greeted by two members of staff who were extremely friendly and very helpful. Taking time to let us know about the area and places they recommend. The room was very clean and well presented and the balcony was very spacious. It was my birthday whilst I was away, I had put cards up in the room I was staying in and upon returning later in the day I had a card from the staff with a bottle of Prosecco!! A few local shops right outside with an array of bars aswell. I would definitely stay here again!!!

We had such a lovely stay as a couple & everybody was so nice. Such a lovely community atmosphere, I'm 7 months pregnant & everybody treated me so kindly & caring. Nothing was ever too much trouble. We have serious holiday blues since we left!

The hotel is fine, it has everything you need. It is relatively cheap and the breakfast and dinner are good. The downsides are that they seem to try and chest you out of money. For example 2euro a day for the safe, just add it into the original price for gods sake and don't mention it. It's such a stupid business model and leaves the impression of a cheap underhand hotel. Another example is the wine and water at dinner. These should be included for free, at least the first glass or bottle of water, and again just add it into the price and don't mention it. It is so so stupid. It's like they are trying to be the Ryanair off hotels. The staff are excellent and very polite helpful and cordial. The pool is adequate and if you are a lap swimmer you can go sideways, I imagine it's maybe 20metres side to side ans the tile patterns can be used as a lap guide. The gym has good equipment and it's very rarely used. The location is a bit out of the way, so at night it's a a 20min walk at least yo the centre of the town. The walk is nice and the hotel is tranquil so there are positives to being 20mins away from the noise. The shower is excellent and the towels are nice, fresh and clean. The room in general is good but depending on where they put you it could be noisy (close to the bar or restaurant). I seen people complain about noise to the reception. The breakfast is from 8 which is fairly restrictive in winter. Advice to hotel, just add the price of the things to the overall price and try not to appear as low budget hotel. Change breakfast times to start earlier.

I stayed a week at Garoe. I absolutely loved the hotel from the reception who are brilliant, to the wonderful rooms and cleaning staff. However, the buffet is lacking more local produce and there is no effort made for those people with allergies. There was a couple of gluten-free bread rolls and croissant but they tasted dreadful. The reception copied my list of allergies, but then the kitchen made no efforts to provide alternative meals or to explain what ingredients were in the meals. The signs of meals only indicated roughly what was in them. Also the restaurant does not provide you with a meal box to take with you on trips that are very early in the morning. You are told you can have an early breakfast at 5-5:30 am but you are not allowed to take anything with you. The Gym needs improvement; the mats are old and dirty and the bicycle is old and does not function. The pool of the hotel is small but is adequate for the size of the hotel and the surrounding is very beautiful. People who stay in this hotel are calm and sportive and it is definitely a hotel where you can relax and enjoy your time in Tenerife.

This hotel is superb. It’s kept immaculately clean, the staff are all really friendly. It’s in a quiet part of the town which I liked. There is a courtesy shuttle bus to the town centre, it’s a long hilly walk back to the hotel! The pool and bar facilities are great - nice and relaxing. Towels are provided too. No mad rush in the morning for a sunbed. Restaurant served a wide variety of cuisine - different options every night. Entertainment in the evening was good, some tradition Canarian shows and music which was enjoyable. Overall - fantastic. I would return to this hotel and recommend booking to anyone! Thank you to all the staff - both front and back of house.

This hotel will ruin your holiday plans... IN A GOOD WAY! We regularly stay in this hotel as our short weekend escape. Every time we have many plans and things to do in the local area, and every time we abandon everything, and just stay in the hotel instead. The services are great, facilities perfect. All very organised, the staff all always very friendly especially Gustavo the lifeguard who always remembers us, also the restaurant staff. Overall this hotel feels just like home for us. We will back again and again :)

Excellent hotel in every way. Food, rooms, service pool area. A little out of the way bars etc but there is a shuttle bus in the day and a taxi fare to the town centre is only €6. We loved our stay and hope to return.

Great place to stay. The rooms were large and although we didn't pay for a sea view we did have a good view of the sea from our balcony. The food was really nice and varied each day. Slight negative was that we weren't informed of the option to use the restaurant downstairs on our arrival. When all inclusive you can swap the buffet for a meal in the restaurant downstairs. Unfortunately it's only open on a Friday and you have to book at least the day before so we missed out on it. The gardens and pool were sheltered from the breeze which made it a great sun trap. The pool was decent size and there was no need to get down early to get a sunbed as there were always some available. Cocktails were really nice and most were available in the all inclusive even with branded alcohol. Bear on tap was Amstel. The walk down to the town was fine but lots of steps. They do however have a free shuttle bus down if needed which we didn't use. The old town area of the port was lovely with great restaurants and walks along the front. We hired a car which did mean that we had to pay for parking at the hotel. You have to book and it was €35 for the week but you do get your own spot. Great place and will go back.

tldr: it's ok, clean, good service, usual Spanish Hotel food - aimed at Euros, not British, but I'd go back. Visited December 2024. Half-board. Extra for safe and kettle. water/beer/soft drinks in mini bar, pool towels with deposit. Rooms are clean, and cleaned daily, no sign of bugs in my 3rd floor room. Some other reviews report cockies, perhaps they had ground floor garden rooms. I paid a bit extra for a Teide view, tbh it's just the absolute top of Teide as the hotel is in a shallow dip, but this is nice as it keeps the wind off. The food is probably good but not aimed at Brits. Breakfast is the usual Spanish hotel streaky bacon, weird sausages, watery baked beans and the vast array of continental stuff. If you're not into the full English you'll find something decent to eat with plenty of cheeses, cooked meats and fruit yogurt combos. One day they had actual British sausages, I mean they were low end greasy spoon sausages, but I've not seen anything other than weird little coloured sausages at a Spanish hotel before, so kudos. Dinner was a decent selection of two fresh grilled proteins at the service counter, sometimes actual nice fish, usually run of the mill chicken or pork, a stew type dish, veggies, some kind of chips. Always plenty of cheeses and meats, a soup, a bit of salad and the usual array of tasteless, tiny deserts. Redeeming feature - every day there had really good Canarian potatoes and passable mojo sauces. A decent wine selection in the restaurant. Now, the entertainment - if you're German and aged 70+ you'll love it. One night the "musician" didn't even sit with the organ/keyboard while it played it's mind numbing selection of ancient hits. A night of Spanish guitar/modern pop that had the euro wrinklies strutting their Strictly stuff all over the dance floor. I was wondering why the bar closed at 11pm but it was cause most guests went to bed before 10pm. Banging it is not, but if you want a quiet hotel this is the place. If you want more of an interesting night life go to the Plaza del Charco in the evening but be prepared for the usual tourist trap type restaurant. I actually found this a good base to explore from and situated with a nice garden and (not too cold) pool. The park outside is well used by locals and good for a swift constitutional. On the other side of the park is The Hotel Tigaiga, which is a slightly nicer version of this hotel with even less going on in the evening. But it does have a nicer A La Carte Restaurant. If you want to try some splendid and interesting food and wine go to Vinoteca Con Pasion (let them choose a wine for you). Visit Alberto's Bar across the park for a drink with great views. If you want a silly and good fun/value local cooking lesson see if Bodegas Monje are doing Mojo sauce lessons. If you are renting a car there's a free car other side of the Taoro Park, busy but possible to avoid paid hotel parking.

Codru Verde

We spent 5 nights there and would highly recommend this hotel if you are in pursuit of quiet. It's farther away from the crowds and restaurants/bars, in the middle of a park/garden, surrounded by nature and parrots. Our room faced the ocean and it was silent, clean and accommodating. Room also had a fridge. We even had tooth brushes and razors, courtesy of the hotel. The room was big enough and the beds comfortable. The cleaning came every day, although we didn't really need it daily. The hotel has a private parking for a cost of 8 eur/day but we parked in a nearby free public parking and it was very safe. ALL the personnel was super nice and helpful, always smiling and ready to accommodate. The pool was decent and the drinks at the bar very tasty. A special shoutout to the kitchen staff, though! We had half board and this was some of the tastiest food we've had on the island. It felt like homemade by some really talented aunt, it was fresh made every day and VERY diverse. Each night they tried to cook something different, from chicken and beef to all sorts of fish and seafood. The breakfast was pretty amazing as well. The prices in drinks were also decent. We were looking for 5 days of sleeping in, quiet and peace and we found it here. Highly recommended and thank you for making half of our honeymoon amazing.

Lovely staff. Hotel very quiet around. Nice and clean rooms. Great food. Location is close to city centre (if you like it). Charge for car park located by the hotel 8€ per night or you can use a free car park 5mins walk away from hotel :) Highly recomended. It's really nice.

I came with my dad, who is in his 70s. We have both said that we would be happy to return again. Staff is pleasant and happy to help. We had a couple of issues with our air-conditioning, and when we asked for help, we were dealt with in a prompt and friendly manner. The food and drink choices were good, but I did wonder how vegetarians got on as there didn't seem much variety for them. At the pool bar, portions were not consistent. I heard one man order chicken nuggets, and he said he had 15 pieces (two people sharing). When I ordered, we both got 6 each. The next time we received 3 each. Entertainment was good each evening. There is a little mjni market nearby to buy bits and bobs. The walk took us around d 20 minutes to reach the town. A taxi was €5. The pool was never full, and the hotel itself wasn't too lively, which is why I chose it. The all-inclusive package offered a good selection. A shout out should go to the hotel animator, Erica, who was always smiling and chatty around the pool. She offered the right amount of entertainment, in my opinion.

The hotel is absolutely beautiful. It smells fresh, neat. The assigned apartment 111 is on the ground floor, spacious balcony, beautiful view, two large rooms + kitchen, large bathroom. Clean, fragrant, neat. Mix of old and new, awakens nostalgia in a person. The food offer is huge, everyone can find something they like. The staff is kind, when we say staff we mean every employee we had the opportunity to meet, hardworking people, always ready to help, always a smile on their face. I have to especially single out a very dear cleaning lady, very short blonde hair, immensely dear, her smile and kindness would brighten up even the gloomiest day. The grounds around the hotel are neat and maintained. Here everyone can find the entertainment that suits them best, the offer is diverse. In short, a wonderful experience and a pleasant vacation that will remain in a beautiful memory for a long time. I heartily recommend it.

Fabulous hotel, rooms have kitchen are but no cups or kettle, food was excellent different every day. Service was fantastic, we arrived late, hungry and tired, food was left out for us such a nice touch, and really appreciated. My only complaint is the pool was so cold hardly anyone went in, this was the adult pool, thought it would heat up later in the day but unfortunately not. Stunning views short ride to see front, transport was provided.

Definitely DO NOT GO THERE. we made a big mistake, rooms look very old and had a smell, Brown furniture but you don't see any brown furniture in any of the pictures..not any facilities what so ever in the rooms. Toiletries ver poor. Staff quite rude. We were all inclusive but got treated like second class citizens. At the pool side Food was the same every single day and cold..in the dining area food was bland and very repetitive Definitely not worth the money. If this stops one couple from going to this hotel it'll will be worth it..disgraceful.

This hotel is not on my list of recommended accommodations on this island, despite the good food and friendly service staff. I would advise against using the hotel’s website to make reservations, as there is no follow-up from their end. The same applies to their group, "Meliá Group." The online check-in process also failed, as their system didn’t accept a U.S. passport, whether accessed via their app or browser. I have been traveling for business and leisure for the last 45 years both in the US and abroad; the management of this hotel is the worst I have observed. I tried contacting both the hotel and the group’s websites three times with evidence of the issues, but received no response. While the hotel is clean, the rooms and bathrooms are outdated, with no apparent effort to modernize them. Additionally, even though we were willing to pay extra for an early check-in, the hotel made no attempt to accommodate us before the official check-in time after exhausted 30 hours travel time from Western US. It would be helpful if the hotel clearly communicated their firm check-in policy of 3 PM on their website or at least responded to inquiries about early check-in requests.

Loved this hotel. Location was perfect for a more isolated vacation. But book sea view, the road noise on mountain view is a bit high. Good food, mostly the staff are excellent apart from the pool bar manger. Ignored my wife but jumped to serve some 20 something girl.

I really liked the concept of a non-smoking establishment. The hotel itself is located among the city streets, 15-20 minutes walk to the ocean. The hotel has a great pool. The exterior itself is a piece of wild nature combined with civilization, everything is very harmonious. The room is clean, the cleaning is without complaints, and the staff responds immediately to all requests. The cuisine is delicious. I am very satisfied.

Pleasant enough staff. Rooms were kept very clean but basic. No kettle and my fridge never worked. I had a nice view of the pool though. Breakfast was ok for me personally. Porridge with honey and pancakes every day. Lots of tea choices and juices. Grounds of the hotel were very clean and had a lot of nice well maintained green spaces. No smoking around the pool which is good. I like walking as exercise and this place is situated at the top of a few quite steep hills. I enjoyed the walk down to Puerto and back up though as it’s a nice walk. My one issue is why they don’t just open the pool at 8am till 8pm. Opened at 11 o clock which is very late for someone like me who likes a swim before breakfast. The pool guy cleaned every aspect of the pool before he would open it. Surely he can just do this during the day. It closed at 7pm so if you took an all day excursion you are away before pool opens and back when it’s closed.

Hotel Parque San Antonio: A Peaceful Retreat Our stay at the Hotel Parque San Antonio was truly delightful. Nestled between the sea and the mountains, the hotel offers stunning views and a tranquil atmosphere. We were lucky enough to have a spacious room with breathtaking vistas of the Atlantic Ocean and the majestic Teide volcano. The room was well-equipped with a fridge, air conditioning, a smart TV, a hairdryer and a safe. While the hotel boasts excellent Wi-Fi in most areas, our room unfortunately fell into a blind spot. It was a minor inconvenience, but worth noting. The hotel's beautiful landscaped gardens, complete with water features and a large swimming pool, create a serene ambiance. Though we opted for bed and breakfast, we often indulged in the delicious buffet dinners. The variety of dishes was impressive, and the quality was surprisingly high. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the hotel's multilingual receptionists were always on hand to assist. The majority of guests seemed to be German and French retirees, creating a peaceful and tranquil environment. While the hotel's location offers stunning views, it's important to note that it's situated on a slope. While the walk to the town center is manageable, it can be quite steep, especially on the way back. For those who prefer not to walk, a shuttle bus is available. Overall, our stay at the Hotel Parque San Antonio was fantastic. The combination of beautiful surroundings, comfortable accommodations, great food and excellent service made it a memorable experience. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a relaxing and enjoyable vacation.

Absolutely great holiday with family and children. We arrived late night exhausted, and found hotel staff left dinner for us in the fridge - what a caring gesture from hotel, well appreciated. Hotel has a stunning green territory with own botanic garden, we spotted a rooster and 2 hens living there too, quite cute! Delicious food, lovely bar, great customer care and good value for money. Definitely would return.

Great hotel, our room was clean and well maintained. We were only b&b, breakfast was good. Choice of hot and cold food, fruit, cereal, pastries, breads. A very good choice if you want a quiet location. Walkable to all the beaches but there is a courtesy bus that takes you to the commercial centre.

The hotel and staff were excellent overall, room was big, spacious and well equipped. hotel had a wonderful trail of trees from all over the world and a lot of activities/areas to explore and enjoy. Location distance to local shopping centre was not bad especially as they have a shuttle service and cabs too are very reasonable and reliable. Special mention to a wonderful bartender, Yasiel who made the BEST drinks. He definitely goes above and beyond with service and his drinks including his specialty drinks are quality. My family and I ordered quite a variety of drinks over the duration of our holiday and we were not disappointed ever. Another member who we interacted a lot with was Isaac who entertained on karaoke nights and during the day with a lot of activities. Brilliant place for an amazing relaxed atmosphere where you can tailor your holiday the way you want.

went with the intention of a good holiday in July of this year. didn't even last a day before I left for another hotel. 1. the rooms have no air-con. this is not easily stated and you cannot assume - fine in the colder months I'd imagine. 2. the rooms are outdated and the one myself and my partner with given stank! with little airflow. 3. the lift had a smell of dog urine - which I assume was proven with a puddle, as well as the lifts not being suitable for a couple with large suitcases in one go. 4. staff did not seem to be around and also when found, had a terrible attitude. don't go into a career where you will be surrounded by tourists if you do not like them. 5. I complained to the receptionist that the room was unsuitable due to the lack of airflow (my partner has asthma) to which she wouldn't move us rooms (I could count the number of holidaymakers on my hand so there was space) and offered us a tiny fan. 6. unless you wish to rely on the bus they offer, the walk to and from the town is quite lengthy as there are no shops near by except a petrol station for provisionals and the walk back up is very steep. the only thing to note is the gardens were quite beautiful. I checked in by around 12pm and by 4pm I had left my room key at the desk as it was empty and left for another hotel so as to not ruin my trip to Tenerife, I go quite frequently (twice this year) and have been to different hotels every time and this was by far the worst.

Really like this hotel. It is older, has two buildings, has spacious grounds and is peaceful. It doesn't have air conditioning and is a little bit out of town up a steep hill for those with mobility issues. Very clean, larger rooms, pleasant staff and good value for money.
