A Disappointing Experience at a So-Called "4-Star" Hotel
We recently stayed at this hotel, and our experience left much to be desired. First of all, the pictures online were completely misleading—they failed to represent the actual state of the property. Upon arrival, it was clear this was far from the standard We expected.
For a 4-star hotel, We were shocked to find that the room lacked basic amenities such as a kettle, water, or tea. These had to be paid for daily, which is simply unacceptable at this price point. Even though the hotel eventually provided a kettle (just kettle) after We complained about the state of the accommodation, it did nothing to improve our overall impression.
The condition of the room was appalling—there were holes in the walls, a worn-out floor, furniture that looked like it was salvaged from a dumpster, and moldy curtains.
While the hotel boasted a wide variety of meals, the food often seemed old, particularly the fruits. After two days, I suffered from severe food poisoning, likely from the chicken I had for dinner. This ruined two days of our vacation, confining me to my room. Following that, I avoided the kitchen entirely, surviving on bread rolls for breakfast and eating at other restaurants for the rest of my stay.
To make matters worse, pigeons were freely flying around the dining area, leaving droppings behind—a shocking sight in any establishment, let alone a 4-star hotel.
The parking costs were outrageous, although I was relieved to find free parking near the beach. The hotel also advertised a pool with a jacuzzi and streams, but entry cost €18 per hour as apparently it wasn't a pool but "SPA". The only free access was to the outdoor pool.
In short, this hotel is absolutely not worth the cost and certainly doesn't deserve its 4-star rating. The food poisoning, in particular, ruined my vacation entirely.
The only redeeming factors was the view and the staff, who genuinely tried their best and were very accommodating. Unfortunately, their efforts couldn't make up for the numerous shortcomings of the hotel.

Superb location with excellent amenities for all. Sensible and calm environment with great multi cultural atmosphere. Half board worth it as food variety and quality excellent and superb breakfast. Look no further. Sea view room upgrade worth the funds. North facing so in the shade and excellent views, with great temperatures. Great Turkish spa and facilities in the glass roof top - you do pay extra but worth it. Consider booking directly to earn loyalty points. Rooms well equipped and excellent balconies. The hotel probably would benefit from soft water treatment to aid lime scale, which is common for hard water. We will be back to stay at this hotel again. Great!

Great location, right on the beach front. 2 or 3 minute walk to the main bars restaurants and shops. We upgraded to a sea view room for 25 euros per night, fantastic views of the ocean. The room however is a little tired, needs refreshing and modernising. Also missing some basics, no tea/coffee making facilities (additional charge) no additional bedding , no mini fridge, I might be wrong in thinking that these should be included at a 4 star hotel? Very clean throughout with room cleaned daily. We paid an extra £20 (whole stay) to add evening meal which was buffet style. Not the best choice on offer and most of the cooked food was almost cold. The local restaurants are the place to be. Breakfast however was very good with a great choice including fresh omelette, fried egg and pancakes. I would stay here again but wouldn't bother with the evening meal

Lovely hotel, nice rooms, fantastic location next to the beach. Buffet breakfast and evening meal, food ok. Free towels for sunbeds. Pool bar but it was closed on our hottest day so that was disappointing, but I would recommend this.

Difficult to review overall experience. Rooms should really have had kettle and fridge to be 4 star, very disappointing.
The Spa experience was horrid. The staff were rude and dismissive. Refused a second towel or a robe. I am a large lady age 77 and was expected to walk up a flight of stairs to the pool with 1 skimpy towel.
The water in the pool was cool, described as “hydrothermal” which is definitely against trade description outlines, “thermal” means heat!
Such a shame as we have visited several Melia hotels and Spas, with great customer satisfaction.
