I was nearly put off booking this hotel because of the poor food reviews. I’ve got to say, I am a foodie and I was not disappointed with half board here. Every time I chose to eat at the hotel, both breakfast and dinner buffet were excellent. Plenty of choice, both European and local cuisine. Ingredients are great and everything is fresh.
The spa on the rooftop is absolutely brilliant and reasonably priced for the offering.
The pool is nice and clean, the hotel rooms great. It doesn’t have a worn out feeling to it.

We are currently staying at the Sol Costa Atlantis in Tenerife, and while the first three days were satisfactory, our experience has unfortunately taken a turn for the worse.
Initially, we were impressed with the quality of the food, the cleanliness of the rooms, and the high level of service in the dining area. However, by the fourth day of our stay, several issues have emerged that are quite disappointing.
For three consecutive evenings, we have not been attended to during dinner, which means we haven't been able to order drinks. Additionally, the room cleaning has become very superficial, with our personal items being moved around rather carelessly. The hotel itself is also in need of serious maintenance. The wallpaper is peeling in several areas, and the furniture is noticeably worn out, which is not what we would expect from a four-star establishment.
On a positive note, the hotel's location in the center of Puerto de la Cruz is excellent, offering easy access to many attractions. The rooms with ocean views, available for an additional fee, are one of the few strong points of this hotel, providing beautiful scenery. However, the central location also comes with a significant amount of street noise, which can be disturbing at times.
Overall, while the beginning of our stay was pleasant, the lack of consistency in service, the hotel's deteriorating condition have left us disappointed. We hope to see improvements during the remainder of our stay, but as it stands, we wouldn't recommend the Sol Costa Atlantis unless these issues are addressed.

Lovely location right by the beach. Plenty to do in the area with plenty of bars and cafes that are cheap and reasonable.
For the most part staff are friendly. Cleaning staff were good.
However what makes this a one star review for me is the fact that the worker at the pool side bar is short changing people. I gave a €50 for two drinks and only got €29 back but it wasn’t until I sat back down at the lounger did I realise. Not being a confrontational person I left the issue as I assumed it’s a small mistake. But the same thing happened to my mother two days later. She only brings 1 €50 note down each day for her drinks and it was her first drink of the day. She got a gin and tonic and a beer and played using the note. The lady at the bar only gave her €12 back and when my mother questioned her in it she was argued with and shouted at by the worker and I left to get a manager when coming down with the young manager the worker started crying I assume to help her case. Unfortunately as there was no cameras they would not listen to our claims or even check if the money was there or if the worker had it she just told us to call the police if we were that bothered. I refused to have drinks there again. There were also other hotel goers who overheard the commotion and chipped in saying the same thing had been happening to them since they arrived still nothing is done. That woman is most definitely short changing people in purpose as it was happening too often to be a mistake.
Overall, I would not recommend this hotel and if you are there be careful of what you paid and what change your given!

NOT A 4* HOTEL
We staying here for 9 nights at the end of July. we had 4 rooms, all for family. One room had a fridge and kettle while the others didn't. Another kettle was provided upon request. Rooms were small and compact but very clean. The cleaning staff were very friendly.
On our second day, one of our family got 2 drinks at the pool bar and give over a €50 note, she got the change of €20. We did not say anything because we had left the counter before realizing. Day number 5 I went to get my first gin and tonic with the same bar lady and I give her €50 because that's all I had down with me. She done the same, gave me back €12. I asked her about this and she said ''no you didn't give €50''. So I went to reception and got a young manager. The manager came down and told me I was wrong and would not give back the correct change, so needless to say we stopped buying from the young, straight blonde hair lady bar staff member. They didn't have camera's either to back me up. The staff member removed her name badge immediately after this happened
We had Lunch at the poolside bar 2 days and it took forever to come out and was freezing. My advice would be to avoid the pool bar. They rip you off, and if some people had a lot to drink then they may not notice the short changing.
Evening buffet had a good selection for all members but food was always cold, no matter if you were first in the restaurant.
Personally I would not stay here again, location is great but you are better with room only and avoid the pool bar.
There are a lot of lovely bars and cafes nearby and very cheap.

An excellent Hotel very well located with beautiful rooms.
The hotel is only let down by the long waits at reception and the poor performance of breakfast.
Breakfast is the biggest issue it really stops about 30 minutes prior to the advertised finish time.
Staff disappear there is little chance plates and food will be restocked. Tables are not laid and you end up wandering around to find cutlery and plates in an attempt to have breakfast. Staff only return when time has come to turf the hotel residents out of the breafast area.
This is a great shame as every other aspect of the hotel is excellent and I have even given it 5 stars despite this significant problem.
Our room was one of the nicest I have ever stayed in.
We would happily stay here again.
