Sadly never again. I always wanted to stay at this place as i know its very popular. The beds are like concrete. Had to take painkillers before bed and again in morning. Over 4 different rooms we tried the beds. Yes they tried to put stuff right but dumping piss stained mattresses toppers in our garden 2 nights before we leave just didn’t quite do it unfortunately. SOMEONE entered our room when the “DO NOT DISTURB” sign was on the door! Not good at all! The Maid clearly seen the sign
Good things.
The staff are very nice and try and help resolve the problems but it was one after another.
The place is very clean for a 3 star
My daughter loved the pool & the general vibe of the place is nice. Location perfect
Bad things!
Rooms VERY dated
All bed rock hard! Some bolted separately to wall! No good for couples
We had mold in one bathroom
We got moved from room to room because of problem after problem. 4 hours wasted moving rooms and it still wasn’t right but where do you draw the line?
Door handles falling off, fridge doors falling off, bear electrical wire showing and nearly electrocuting my daughter, showers not working correctly, fans not working correctly. The list really gos on.
They couldn’t even put the correct sheet on a bed! I must have had to go to reception over 10 times in 24hours. It was a constant stressful inconvenience
Its so disappointing as i so wanted to love the place. Would i stay again? Most definitely not sadly. A holiday is supposed to be relaxing and this was anything but sadly.

The hotel is nice overall. Initially, we were assigned a dark room with no view and narrow access that we didn’t like. It should not allocate to any one as you won't feel that you are on holiday. One of the receptionists mentioned the hotel was fully booked and couldn’t change it. However, Sara and Santiago were very helpful and managed to change our room the next day, assigning us a much nicer one in the same category. Getting a good room felt like winning the lottery. The cleaning staff was excellent, and the food was good. The hotel’s location is a major highlight—right next to the beach with plenty of nearby restaurants and supermarkets to choose from.

The hotel itself is awesome and very beautiful pool area. The only negative for us were the absolutely appalling beds. They were so hard that it was impossible to sleep on. It seemed that they were missing the upper mattress. The hotel staff provided us bed mattresses to put on top and that helped a little. Beds are still hard but at least one can sleep on them. There are no double beds available for couples. They put two single beds together and if you try to hug your partner you will fall in between them. So not an option for romance. It’s amazing that such a nice hotel cannot provide even average beds. We would like to visit again but cannot due to the beds. We are a sporty couple in our 40s.

Before saying anything: We really enjoyed our stay at Santiago III and had great holidays.
However, there are some things to be mentioned for anyone considering staying there:
### Rooms
- The quality of the rooms varies significantly. We were lucky to get a fairly modern room with a great kitchen, but other visitors we spoke to had old, outdated rooms.
- **Beds**:
- HORRIBLE: 0/10.
- Extremely hard and thin mattresses.
- A very thin blanket was provided (which is insufficient in winter).
- Despite asking for a thicker blanket because we were freezing, we never received one.
- Double beds are just single beds pushed together, which separate instantly with any movement.
- Some reviews mentioned bedbugs. While we didn’t experience this, the hotel’s lack of transparent communication with those guests raises concerns.
### Noise
- We enjoyed the lively nightlife visible from our balcony, and we’re familiar with using earplugs (which, frankly, the hotel should provide as a bare minimum).
- That said, if you dislike noise and happen to get a street-facing room, **be warned**: it’s as loud as having a jet engine in your backyard. This could ruin your stay, and no one will warn you about it until you experience it.
### Bathrooms
- Our bathroom had a foul smell, and the water also smelled bad.
- The ventilation in the bathroom didn’t work.
### Park and Pools
- The park and pool areas are truly beautiful, offering an unbeatable atmosphere.
- The location is fantastic, right on the natural stone beachfront, with walkways, sandy beaches, and stunning sunsets.
- However, the **pool** was a mixed experience:
- It’s saltwater and seemed overly treated with chlorine, making it unpleasant.
- Sunbed blocking rules were not enforced, but oddly, kids playing with pool toys was treated like a federal offense.
### Shopping Mall
- The attached shopping mall significantly detracts from the hotel’s atmosphere. It gives off a rundown bazaar vibe and undermines any sense of luxury.
### Overall
This hotel is a real **hit or miss** depending on the room you get, your tolerance for noise, and how much you value the atmosphere of the park and pool areas.

Hola, my finance and I spent a wonderful week at this charming hotel. If you run into any room issues talk to Alexandra at the front desk, she will make sure that you get a smile on your face. She was very helpful and polite and made us feel welcome. Thank you!
