We just spent another seven wonderful days at Hilton Playa Del Carmen Adults Only All Inclusive Resort. This was our second stay and once again was amazing.
The facilities are well kept and clean. There is always maintenance being performed to keep things top notch. I believe preventative maintenance directly reflects the type of service to expect.
Speaking of service, the staff is amazing and always willing to go out of their way for you. A few staff members we would like to highlight are Eric our amazing waiter who worked our side of the pool. Also Alejandro at the beach he made us a special drink every afternoon at 3pm. Both exceeded our expectations for the second time here and were excellante. We also have to mention Alejandra at the pool who was also great.
The concierges at the pool are wonderful and Yasmin went above and beyond again during this visit. The entertainment staff was very hard working and kept people occupied with fun activities.
The breakfast staff was amazing and Dimitri, Miguel and Pablo treated us like VIP’s when we arrived each morning.
Finally, Deysi Gomez our housekeeper made our room feel elegante.
I cannot wait to see mi amigos, and amigas again.

Excellent hotel! we appreciated the food, buffet was average, but all the a la carte were good, favorite was Kalamata (great service from Eulises). Entertainment team from the pool were really good and service around that area is very good too. Cabanas are worth it in our opinion. The gym was really well equipped and they also have good sport activities, I tried aquasport and I loved it (thank you to Jose for that class). The spa is really nice as well, got the best massage from Flor, I highly recommend it. The location is just prime, 5a avenida is super close. Only downside of this hotel is the beach, but you can walk a bit and it gets better.
Overall I recommend it and would return

Chose this resort after in depth researching for a family trip (parents in 60s two children in early 30s). It was parents first time at Mexico. We had amazing time, and this place was the perfect place. If I had an opportunity, I would come back. Every employee is friendly, great service, different entertainment every night. The location is great - one block away from downtown.
Food was great as well , not the bestest, but I don't think you should expect the best either at buffer and such?
Beach was good, there were a lot of seaweeds but still beautiful and warm.
Great place!
Pool - great. We rented a cabana for a day. Yes it sucks you have to pay extra but I understand why.

Our experience was pretty great overall: amazing service (super kind staff), rooms were spacious but uninspiring, food was plentiful but keep your expectations realistic (especially if you’re a foodie), great evening entertainment, and super close to the city where you can spend time walking around, try something local, shop, etc. My major issue was with the pool—it’s a very small area and there a hundreds of people in it at all times. Hundreds. The pool area is precious real estate for which people compete. For this reason I would not return. Too crammed and not relaxing…definitely not luxury.

This was our first experience with all inclusive resorts in mexico, so we don't have a lot to compare it too. We decided to go here because it had the Hilton name and thought it wouldn't disappoint, we were wrong. The room smelled musty, the hot tub in the room didn't work, problems with the phone in the room, the public bathrooms were often uncleaned one even was left with water all over the floor for hours, even though it was all inclusive you were constantly annoyed with up selling, the beach front was not great the better part you had to pay more. The drinks were okay, the food was okay. The pools were great but most of the seating was for the people that rented a cabana. And as many have said on the reviews the staff was very nice. One interesting thing about the location is that it is located downtown where you can walk the streets going shopping and go to authentic Mexican restaurants.
