Fantastic Stay at a Lovely Hotel
I had a wonderful time at this hotel! The rooms were spotless and well-maintained, and the food was absolutely delicious. The pools were clean and very inviting. While the beach is a bit rocky, it’s only a short walk from the hotel, which makes it very accessible. If you’re planning to visit Playa del Carmen, it’s a bit too far to walk, so taking a taxi is the best option. Overall, I had an amazing experience and would definitely recommend this hotel to others!

Wonderful resort. Staff are so friendly and helpful. Loved the Italian restaurant but long wait for a table. Daniela on the Joy and wellness team was so informative and sweet. Loved the shuttle services around the resort. The newly introduced spa activities were great. We will be back. It would be good if the resort did not allow people to reserve beds all day at the beach without appearing all day but that's human nature I guess!

Our November 2024 stay at The Fives Beach Hotel and Residences was simply unforgettable! Traveling as a family with a 4-year-old, a 2-year-old, and a 6-month-old baby, we experienced a level of care and hospitality that truly exceeded our expectations. The staff were warm, attentive, and always eager to ensure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.
The food options were outstanding, with a variety of restaurants to suit every taste. We loved the beachfront choices, offering casual pizza, Mexican dishes, burgers, and fresh seafood, as well as more formal dining spots perfect for an evening out. Each meal was delicious, and we appreciated the range of choices that made dining a joy for the whole family.
The pool areas were another highlight, with several pools to explore, including a stunning infinity pool with sea views and a dedicated kids’ pool that quickly became a favorite for our children. The hotel is wonderfully family-friendly, providing all the essentials for a young family right in the room. If anything was missing, the lobby staff were only a call away, ready to accommodate any need.
We were also impressed by the kids’ club, which offers supervised activities where children over 4 can play on their own, while those under 4 are welcome with a parent.
We did encounter a minor issue during our stay, but Miguel and Mercedes took care of it quickly and professionally. Their prompt attention turned a small inconvenience into a testament to the staff’s commitment to guest satisfaction.
Overall, our experience was fantastic, and we highly recommend The Fives Beach Hotel for families with young children. From the beautiful facilities to the dedicated staff, it’s a perfect destination for a memorable family getaway!

We stayed at the fives for my son's beautiful wedding. It was such a wonderful experience, from the staff, the room service cleaners, the resort itself. We had such an amazing experience with Crystian one of the servers at the buffet, he was so friendly and attentive like every single employee at the Fives was. I recommend this resort to everyone. We got to see some interesting animals and the beach was also very beautiful. 10/10 experience of a lifetime. Thank you everyone at The Fives resort!

I had a great time, once again, at The Fives Resort Spa in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. I completed my 1st two (2) official Hydrotherapy Treatments: the first in Aug 2024 with Aldo and the second in Dec 2024 with Ms. Tony.
The Ladies at the Reception / Check-In are all very pleasant. But Aldo and Tony ROCK!!! Aldo did such a great time Coaching me through the process (Steam Room, Sauna, Cold & Warm Tubs and Showers), that when I arrived the second time, Tony's job was easier - I knew what to expect. I appreciate Aldo and Tony's attentiveness, professionalism, and just being happy, pleasant individuals.
Aldo - it was great seeing you again and I look forward to seeing you and Tony next time. Tony- thanks for sharing the Baby Monkey experience with me. He/she will be much bigger on my next trip. Lol!
