Just back from an amazing week at the Elba. What a fantastic hotel, I booked to stay in the adults only part but you have access to the entire complex.
I literally cannot fault anything about the hotel-the rooms were like small apartments complete with your own private decking area. Clean and modern with all the things you’d want for your stay.
The hotel was spotless and the staff are amazing no matter what their jobs were they are an excellent team who go out of their way to make sure guests stays are enjoyable. The food was very good especially in the adult only restaurant where the choice was excellent and very tasty.
Loads of space around the pool area and never an issue finding a good spot.
Only a 10-15 walk into town where the views are amazing and there is some fantastic bars/restaurants.
All in all a great holiday so much so I’m going to re-book for next year.
On a side note I just wanted to say for anyone with kids this is a brilliant hotel-I wish I knew about this hotel for when mine was younger. The entertainment team were the best I’ve saw in any hotel, hard working and friendly and making the kids trips as fun as possible, again everyone of them brilliant but especially I think her name was lulu……she brought so much energy and fun to the poolside area, made it a great experience. She (and the rest of the team) are a real credit to the hotel, keep up the good work and see you next year!

We stayed at the Elba Suites in Lanzarote, which is rated as a four-star hotel, but in my opinion, it’s closer to a solid three.
The grounds, pools, and rooms are lovely — spacious, clean, and really well-maintained. The hotel itself looks great from the outside, and the location is excellent for exploring the area.
However, the hotel feels quite short-staffed. The staff do try their best, but it’s clear they’re stretched thin, and unfortunately, some of the restaurant staff come across as unfriendly. The food was okay, but for a four-star hotel, I expected more variety and better quality. I also noticed chipped plates and cups in the restaurant, and cracked plastic cups being used around the pool — small details, but they really take away from the overall experience.
One major frustration was the late checkout option. They advertise it, but I’m not convinced anyone actually gets it. You’re told to ask at 6pm the night before leaving, only to be told your room is already allocated. It feels like a pointless offer that just leads to disappointment.
Overall, we had a good holiday — the weather, the setting, and the relaxation made it enjoyable — but I wouldn’t stay in an Elba hotel again. For the price, it’s just not up to four-star standards, and I think the hotel could do a lot more to meet the expectations it sets.

Went out of my comfort zone and did archery while staying at the resort. Roberto was our entertainment rep, he was brilliant made me feel really comfortable, good sense of humour! Very helpful and explained this fully! Will deffo do more activities with him throughout my stay

A good hotel, with adults only section, although you have to walk through the non adults only 😆 to get back to reception and breakfast /dinner restaurants.
Breakfast food has a good selection, but the cooked items need some love, bacon swimming in a vat of fat, not really to my liking.
Staff very helpful.
Near impossible to get a late checkout, as you can only ask 6pm the night before

On first arrival, everything seemed perfect. One of the nicest hotel rooms I've ever stopped in. However, it soon became apparent that things were not as good as first thought. There appears to be a serious shortage of staff. The pool bar is usually staffed by one person, and I have experienced being stood in a queue with approaching 20 people waiting to be served. The same with the main bar in the hotel building, some nights there has only been one person serving, with it being in the region of 15 deep at the bar. Also, the staff who do work in the hotel, are some of the most miserable, and also downright rude people I have ever come across in any hotel I have ever stopped in abroad. (I would like to add this does not apply to everyone, but unfortunately, the majority).
The food is mediocre, there is usually a good choice, but again, the staff who are on at breakfast don't make you feel welcome. I like an omelette for breakfast, but walked away one morning, as the girl in charge of the breakfast area, completely ignored me, and just carried on doing what she was doing when I approached.
The pool area is nice, with plenty of sunbeds available. The pools are not heated, and are salt water, but I didn't find that a problem.
Another negative, is that none of the public areas of the hotel appear to be air conditioned. Unfortunately, the day we go home, we are not being picked up until 7pm, and as we have to out of our room by 12pm, we will be struggling to find somewhere we can keep cool.
Having spoken to people here, some who have been here 3 or 4 times before, the standard has seriously deteriorated. I would certainty not recommend, and would not come back again myself.
