Fantastic hotel, the rooms and customer service was outstanding! The free shuttle bus to town made the holiday even better. The food was fantastic. The people doing activities were great. I only have 4 stars, as was a bad umbrella shortage around the pools to go with the beds. Not enough umbrellas or just broken ones. There were not any pool staff to ask for an umbrella and when we did find someone, they said there were no more. It's not great especially when on holiday with a baby to have no shade. Despite this the holiday was great and have booked to come again this year. Hopefully you'll of fixed the umbrella shortage by the next season 🤞🏽.

A holiday in this hotel does exactly what it says and we find it's good value for money. Very relaxing place to be, peaceful. Grounds are well kept and such hardworking, pleasant staff everywhere. Weather was great for an end of November getaway. We find their Prestige package works for us as we like nice wines and used their spa most days. Food is typical of AI hotels but we only ate out once as there was always something to suit us. This was our third trip and we are sad to leave after 10 very relaxing days.

Had a lovely 4 night stay here, 22-24 degrees. The hotel is great it's quite big with a spa, and a couple of pools, the rooms are huge we had a sea view. The food was delicious and plenty of wine and other drinks on tap. The hotel is located by the port in 5 mins walking distance, it's a nice little place to walk round.
There was some entertainment on the evenings then we moved up to the piano bar to finish the evening off with a night cap. The staff where very friendly and accommodating. Would love to go back next year.

I had a poor start discovering my assigned room had an issue. The reception staff sorted me out with other options, but whilst moving myself from one room to the other in the dark, my favourite hoodie was lost and wasn't found or handed in which put a cloud over the start of the holiday. ( I hope whoever took it loses something they love as penance).
That said, once I'd settled into my room I had some of the best sleep I've had for years. A comfy bed , a great shower, kept lovely and clean daily and in the daylight I found my way around quickly.
I booked half board which was a great decision. The food was varied, tasty and there really was something for everyone. The puddings were by far my favourite treat of the day. The range of fresh fruit at breakfast and dinner was also a real bonus. I wasn't sure about half board as previous experience hasn't been good in other hotels, but this really was worth it.
The free transport to del Carmen worked well, but the bus back was different, had no signage to say what it was and the bus driver didn't announce it either so be aware to ask random drivers of mini buses if they're your ride!
Puerto calero has no beach access. On Google maps it appears to have a nice shopping area, but most of the shops are empty, apparently post COVID. There is a small and overpriced supermarket plus some decent lunch spots by the marina though. There's also a new Dino supermarket being built just to the side of the hotel.
Nice walks in either direction on pathways between the hotel and marina. Beautiful views over the water.
I'd use this hotel again for a relaxing holiday. It's not wild and it's not close to noisy nightlife and that's it's charm.

Really nice hotel, spotlessly clean, and good food for an all-inclusive. All the pools, both fresh and saltwater, are large and warm.
The grounds are well maintained apart from a couple of leaks in the ceiling of the lunch restraunt.
I stayed for five nights. I would recommend it if you are looking for a hotel in Puerto Calero.
