I was a Self catering Room and was tucked on the ground floor but technically underground as the hotel is cut into the hill.
The kitchenette was clean and a welcome pack of dish soap. Scouring pad and cloth was there. But the cutlery was underneath the TV. Strange
Bathroom door didn't open fully. No air conditioning just ceiling fans something to be aware of in the summer but as this apparent is in the shade 90% of the day might be a bonus.

My wife & I have just had a week at the Aguamar, it's a typical 3 star hotel as a matter of fact we'd say it's better than the average 3 star hotel. We can only base this review on the room & reception because we didn't use the restaurant or the pool. We were on the second floor room 207 which was more than adequate, Lounge/kitchen, bathroom, separate bedroom with twin beds & balcony overlooking the pool. The kitchen is equipped with all the usual equipment, 2 ring hob, microwave, coffee machine, kettle, toaster & fridge. There are 2 lifts to all floors or if you're young & fit use the stairs. The safety deposit boxes are located in a secure room behind reception and can be hired for a charge, may I just add our cash in a plastic wallet was theft proof because my wife placed elastic bands around the wallet 😉 😀 😜. Before I forget the rooms are cleaned on a daily basis, towels & sheets are also changed quite often. The whole hotel is kept very clean. Apparently there's a problem with people scrambling for sunbeds in the morning...do yourself a favour visit other hotel's where there's plenty of room to sunbathe or just go to the beach ⛱️. The staff are are very friendly and helpful. It was my wife's birthday while we were there and she had a few birthday cards in the room, the cleaner must have informed reception because on the evening a bottle of sparkling wine in an ice bucket & 2 glasses were delivered to our room with a compliment from the hotel card 😀 which we thought was a very nice surprise. The hotel is in a great location for all amenities. When staying in Los Cristianos again we will definitely be staying at the Aguamar.

Avoid at all costs! We booked a week (November 2024) at this hotel on the recommendation of Abbey Travel Dublin and were so disappointed. 1st room was filthy, bathroom had rust and black mould all over it. Moved next day to a better room but woken at 8am on Monday morning with major construction work next door which included huge plant and machinery breaking rocks. It continued until 5pm so could not stay near because of the noise. Ended up having to pay another €1,200 for another hotel for last 4 nights and no compensation from either the Aguamar Hotel or Abbey Travel 😡 Holiday from hell. Worst experience ever!

Stayed here on the 15th December for a week. Location is great and close to everything. Not too far from the beach. The little kids soft area was a god send for my younger children. My negatives were NO heated swimming pool which is why i booked this hotel in the first place. So my youngest children never went in the pool because it was ice cold. No music on around the pool so the atmosphere was slightly dull. We had two rooms as we are a big family, my room was great however my other half's room was infested with ants. All over the floor and even the beds. I dont think I would stay here again but it wasn't the worse hotel I have stayed at.

Just back from 4 days away to los christianos. I usually stay in Las Americas but thought I'd try a different area. Stayed at the Aguamar apartments and probably wouldn't stay again. The staff where all very friendly and helpful. The hotel reception area is beautiful with modern colourful seating 'which was promising. Our room was very dated!. The owners could do with putting some money into the rooms as well as the entrance. The bathroom was the most dated with the tiny bath and the door peeling apart at the bottom due to wet flooring. We also had a few guests sharing our room '3x cockroaches!! I'm guessing this is due to our patio area 'literally 5 step walking distance to the pool with trees and shrubs by. Me and my partner aren't one for complaining so seen as we weren't in the room often we just left it. But I just wanted to warn anyone more squeamish than us 'if you get offered room 010 'just to keep a look out. One other thing we highly recommend trying Harriets tearoom 'it's 5mins walk from the hotel. The food is amazing!!
