The staff there are great, it's safe and kept clean they will help you as best they can . If you have mobility issues you may struggle to get about the hotel, we had a room overlooking the pool area but had to climb 3 flights of stairs to get to our room. Not good. Road noise from the main road can be heard if you're on a certain side of the hotel during the early hours of the morning.

We had a lovely stay here in July. For the price we really weren't expecting too much, but we're really very impressed with how good the hotel, staff and food was. The rooms were lovely, very clean with daily housekeeping. Sadly the rooms don't have a fridge, or fresh bottled water - you have to buy bottles of water to drink (see my note below about the shop outside) The pool area was great, plenty of sun loungers and parasols. My son loved the football court and played with other children in there all day, or on the ping pong table. The self service drinks by the pool was great with 2 kids, and the snacks were also ideal - they could help themselves to fresh fruit, drinks and snacks all day long. Bliss. The staff and entertainment team are all so, so happy and friendly, they really make you feel welcome. The entertainment team aren't pushy around the pool to get you to do things either and are always just up for a nice chat if you want to. The evening food was adequate, different main dishes every evening, and a good selection of sweets too. Fussy kids catered for with chips, salads and burgers/hotdogs. The main bar was a great place to chill in the evening, they were showing the world cup football and had lots of tables to play card games, or a lovely terrace to sit out on and enjoy to sunset. Not the greatest location,a bit out of the town, but a short walk to the shops or beach - there is a bus that runs to the beach - but it's a different beach in the middle of nowhere, so we didn't enjoy that, we ended up walking to the main beach instead. There's a nice little corner shop just outside the front carpark that sold bottles of water and snacks very cheaply. We really enjoyed our stay here,it's not fancy or posh - but it's all the better for it, you get more than you pay for.

Good hotel for that price. Food and rooms were ok Hotel is not direct at the beach but that isnt a problem (10 min of walk). Very friendly stuff. Barman Fabiano made very good drinks. Also animations in the hotel are very fun. Lorenzo was a great animator in the hotel.

Not fan of it. It depends what you look for. Families and kids then yes, okay. But if not.. no worthy the 4*. - the bar next to the swimming pool closes at 5:30pm so after that if you want to drink something you need to walk 5 min until the pub upstairs… - the rooms dont have enough light for makeup or do something else than sleep - the mattress was pretty bad… - not a lot of different food for being 4* quite poo I will personally dont go again. Good point the stuff is lovely! Really nice indeed.

I made some notes whilst we were staying here, as there are some real negative views: Arrival Could do with a few more staff in, but pleasant and easy check in Arrived at 20:15. Advised that the restaurant closes at 21:00 as normal, but they will clean it and reopen at 22:00 so we can all get some food, so went and unpacked before heading to the bar then the restaurant. Selection basic, but chicken burgers, hot dogs, chips, pasta and rabbit (yes, rabbit) Drink Self service draft beer, soft drinks, wine and coffee. What more do you need! Lifts All worked with the odd down time, but there are plenty so never a problem. You come in to reception on the 5th floor from the road, which takes some getting used to to get your bearings! General condition Absolutely fine. Yeah there are some cracked tiles, but show me somewhere that doesn’t have a few marks and damage from wear and tear. Room Basic and a little smaller than I thought, however beds really comfy, the air con does work perfectly well. No amenities in the room such as kettle or fridge, which is a bit of a shame. The one we had was right above the children’s play area, so was noisy of an evening, plus there was no view as there was a massive sunshade covering that play area. Did think about asking to move, but it wasn’t really an issue. Shower Worked fine for us, despite some of the negative comments. Location Very remote, but you can walk to the nearest beach in about 15/20 mins. Some hills to come back up, but there is a twice daily shuttle bus. We hired a car from the agent who came to the hotel. Starts at €50 a day for the most basic. Could rent a Jeep for €100, which they do insure you to go onto the gravel tracks to explore more. Pool Good. Lots of complaints on reviews of it being too shallow. It’s 1.3m at its deepest, which for a family pool, it’s fine. Didn’t come here to do lane swimming! Snacks Very much the same each and every day, but replenished constantly, so easy to get food all day long. Chips, pizza (bit odd tasting) burgers, hot dogs and plenty of desserts. All in all, really happy with the place, and would go back again.

An older hotel, and perhaps a little tired in places, but the staff work hard and always aim to please. Great pool for kids and beach (stony) just outside the grounds, there is also a nicer beach about 5 minutes walk along the shoreline. We did all inclusive and as I haven't done so before, I don't have a benchmark. However, there was never any shortages of food, nor variety over the week we were there. Drinks were a bit of a limited, but more than adequate for me. My only gripe was not being able to get bottled water/tap water after 11pm, so you need to stock up on a few bottles when you get there.

We had a sea view room which was really clean and nice but the walk to get to it was a few hundred metres. We went to breakfast and back and I had done 1700 steps hahah. The pool and gardens were clean and well looked after. The only 'complaint' really was the musty smell in reception and surrounding areas.

1, The reception was professional ,quick and friendly . We arrived late ,.... a special snack was put aside for the three of us....me ,my wife and five year old son . 2. The room was good ( a little dated ) but clean. The opposite hotel has a noisy generator that kept us awake.....The next day the hotel moved us to an " up graded sea view room " Much appreciated . 3. Food. Cannot fault it at all . Lots of choice VERY TASTY . Shame some guests did not respect the dress code . 4. Nice pool area and ten minute walk to a long sandy beach . 5 . The entertainment at night was good .The Animation team were there if you wanted them but did not bother you if you wanted a quiet restful stay. This hotel is a good four star hotel and would recommend it to anyone wishing to stay here .

I honestly find the negative reviews slightly over the top,please take with a pinch of salt. I came here on my 1st solo trip as a female I felt very safe. The staff and service was 10/10 Great facilities Beach 5 mins away in taxi only 4 euros or 30 min walk. I went half board for food, I recommended all inclusive for the days you feel lazy.I found the food very reasonable,meats were cooked to perfection There are some food options near by say 10 min walk. Please note you only can only use spa once free of charge,then you pay after that. Worth it though just think it should be made clear. The ONLY negative comment I have is if the cleaners could do more of a deep clean in the rooms to prevent any outburst of ants. Please don't be alarmed by my ants statement. But worth mentioning. I would recommend great trip for a great price:)

Overall an ok experience for what we paid. If you want somewhere to go and just chill by the pool and unwind then it's ideal. We went in October and it was extremely quiet so we didn't have to fight for sun beds. The pool area was probably the best part of the hotel. The all inclusive food was average and a little hit and miss, in my experience this is normal for buffet food. The rooms were spacious but a little lacking. They could do with some maintenance- for example the peeling paint on the headboard where heads tend to rest. They could also supply more than one flat pillow per guest and some nice touches like tea/coffee for the room and complimentary toiletries. The only thing supplied was a generic soap for hair and body but appeared to be the same as the hand wash. The towels in the rooms and the pool towels have seen better days, they were as thin as dish cloths with as many holes better donated to an animal shelter. The actual shower was very nice, powerful with plenty of hot water. On the plus side, we found 3 chirpy members of staff, the receptionist (very helpful) one of the bar tenders and the entertainment guy. Sadly the rest clearly dislike either their job or tourists, or both!

Lovely hotel. Very clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The food and drink on offer is basic but all you need. There is a good selection at all meal times giving you the essentials. It's about a 30-45 min walk to the beach depending on which way you go but taxis are easy to get. Always plenty of sun loungers around the pool so no need to get out early with your towels. All in all an excellent stay and would come again.

Ignore the bad reviews, the hotel is very nice, the staff is attentive and helpful. The food is delicious and varied. To the ocean to walk exactly 20 minutes with a quiet walk. Rooms are neat, cleaning every day. We are very satisfied with our vacation in this hotel, although the reviews about it were alarming. I recommend it to everyone!

Do not recommend it. The only reason I booked was because it was advertised it had a gym, only to find out it was out of order upon arrival. You will also have to pay to use the Spa -€15 for 2hrs. Out of the whole hotel only probably one person speaks English. Also, their staff is very rude and unprofessional. I arrived for their breakfast at 6:30 to be told then it a 7 am, and then when it got to 7 am was told it at 7:30 am. It would be nice if they had staff that speak little English. They also seem to find it very funny and begin laughing at you if you don’t understand Spanish 🙄. I also saw a cockroach in the restaurant area for dinner yesterday. Friendliness - hardly any there. The hotel was also advertised with sea views but it's at a very dodgy place. Up a hill and difficult to find. The walls are super thin, and you will always be able to hear next-door activities. Staying somewhere else and not in this hotel will be my advice.

Rooms are far too small for a family. Toilet is practically in your living room with nothing other than a thin glass sliding door. There is no eating area inside apartment and it’s so windy you can’t sit outside. Completely impractical for a self catering apartment. Not very clean in rooms or around the complex. I would never recommend this hotel. Likewise the resort. Resort is very very quiet with nothing to do. No cafes open before lunchtime. Literally only the Spar is open early morning. If it’s windy you can’t go to beach or sit outside either really disruptive. Great for windsurfing I guess, absolutely not the place to go on holiday though. AVOID.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The apartment was spacious and clean, the kitchen was well equipped. The location is great, really close to the beach and in the centre of Costa Calma. The staff was friendly and helpful. Really nice place to stay.

Bright, modern apartments with a view through the palm trees to the sea. Clean and nicely furnished, but lacking air conditioning. Quick check-in and friendly service. The apartment complex is spread over a large area, so we had to cross two roads to reach the central pool area, where we missed some atmosphere and a pool bar. In the apartment, the kitchen/living room and bathroom are not separated by a regular door but by a thin glass door, causing some obvious inconvenience. We were three adults in the apartment, which is certainly not recommended. Our apartment was right next to a center with shops and bars, contributing to some music noise late into the night. This is our fourth stay on Fuerteventura, and we would gladly return to the island, but not to Bahia Calma Beach.

Everything was great and exactly as expected. As described before we booked; we knew what we were getting and in a very convenient place within Costa calma so very close to the beach and to local shops and restaurants. The room itself was great, clean and with enough amenities to stay comfortably and even cook a meal. Depending on what room you get you might feel a bit hot but all you need to do is go to the reception and they will give you a fan. The staff were very friendly and helpful. All in all a great stay! Great Hotel and friendly staff. The selection and quality of food at every meal time was amazing. The hotel is about a 1 hour transfer from the airport. We had a family room which was clean, had air con and honestly massive for the 4 of us (2 separate rooms). The swimming pools were plenty big enough considering how many guests the hotel can hold and really well kept as well as the gardens. I would definitely stay here again

Not a good impression about the hotel, even if could be considered as a 4* hotel. First of all, the food is awful, repetitive and no taste. I could say that happens in some of the evenings do not have any options to eat even for children. I've been in lots of holidays with all inclusive option but this hotel offers the worst food I ever seen. Loungers at the pool was all the time occupied and most of the time we sat on the grass. We paid a lots of money just to seat on the grass. You should have removed the pictures with the lagoon from the website because you are misleading people into thinking they can access this facility. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The distance to the real sandy beach is too far, activities very expensive and what you can visit here is sandy beaches but, you need to rent a car for. A day before checkout my husband ask a lady from reception if we can still use all the facilities from the swimming pools or even to serve the lunch and she said no, if we want all of this we need to pay €30 for late checkout. I said what? We have all inclusive and still need to pay for lunch… Very disappointed!

Huge hotel and very beautiful however staff aren’t the friendliest, came across very abrupt and rude. The staff member who does aqua aerobics is very nice friendly and full of energy. Thought it was weird you had to pay for the spa experience as every hotel i’ve been to it’s included but it was €15 for a hour. the spa has broken tiles and the tiles need cleaning. Food is very repetitive and not that great but it’s okay. Wouldn’t come back again, but still had a nice time despite this.

The food is a joke. I've never been in 4 star hotel with that pore culinary part. our friends had food poisoning twice during the visit. The meat is usually raw and it smells funky. The potato's sticks with mold. To sum up the cook that was responsible for the seasonings is tasteless. The only safe place is sweet table where everything is pre prepared. The activities prepared for the guests is almost none existent. The room had mold in the toilet. Most of the service is nice, plesent and helpfull. But one lady had some attitude, was simply rude and prejudiced for none reason

Very happy with our stay here. The view from our room was amazing. Staff were great. Some of the staff didn't speak english so that was a bit of a hassle. Rooms were cleaned very well and the cleaning staff were extremely friendly. Breakfast was great, lots to choose from. Same goes for dinner, but a lot of the food felt like it lacked seasoning - I guess so it's as neutral as it can be considering the amount of guests? I would imagine this is great for families with kids though, since there was a lot to choose from. I would've liked to see more authentic Spanish cuisine. There is also a very small variety of alcohol to choose from at dinner so you have to go to the bar in the lobby afterwards if you want anything more than the one or two types of beer/wine they serve at the buffet. My biggest gripe with the hotel is that there is a "no reservation" policy for the beds by the pool but it isn't enforced in any way. Staff at the reception told us the pool opens at 10 AM but people were using the pool earlier and reserving the beds with their towels which made it a pain to find a free bed. If you're not gonna enforce your rules, then don't have rules. I also think that for that price the spa should be complimentary for guests and not have to pay to enter considering the room prices and the rating of the hotel. Location is okay, it's a 20 minute walk to the town and the large beach but the town is downhill so it's quite the hike back to the hotel. There is a small store in the lobby which was nice. I would recommend you get a rental car when you land in Fuerteventura and just drive to the hotel. Overall there is room for improvement but it's just small things. It's not the best hotel experience I've had hence the 4 star review but I'd recommend it to a friend.

Travel When not Gardening

Booking this hotel was an impulse buy as I received a "special" offer from them. So, unfortunately, I haven't done proper research on the place. Now, in hindsight, there was no sense in booking it this much in advance because the price is absolutely the same now. Also we didn't receive any benefits of booking directly with them. The hotel rooms and food were OK (we've seen worse and better), we also liked the grounds and all the greenery. But the key thing that didn't work for us was the absence of the heated pools. They advertised two to be heated. We don't come to remote destinations to eat or spend time in the room. We come for water fun. But the sea was rough and pools were freezing. We felt like we endured long flights and spent money for nothing. Very upsetting. We will not return to Fuerteventura, we've been to two hotels in Gran Canaria before and they were absolutely lovely with warm pools and more inviting atmosphere. Even overcrowded Tenerife is better.

Our second visit and we’re just happy to be here! Lovely view, big swimming pools, just in the beach of the ocean. On our first visit the room was better but this time we have a better view and we’re spending almost whole day outside so the age of the room not that meaningful. Of course everything could be better and better but it costs also a different price😏 So everybody who are unsatisfied should just to make the budget bigger to get the quality they need😌 If you’re in a good mood you will enjoy this hotel because it is has everything for joyful vacation!

This resort is really good for a break. The staff at reception were polite and helpful. The room was not the best but beds were fine and we had a small balcony too. The hot water wasn’t working on the first day and I showered with cold water but I approached a member of staff at reception and they fixed it immediately. So good and helpful. The food was amazing, lots of choices every day and the cakes and sweets were to die for. I went all inclusive, unlimited drinks and food and plenty of good choices. The beach was also great. Love a beachfront complex. The only thing that let us down was the wifi as it wasn’t working at all, probably because many people were using it. Overall it was an amazing holiday. I would recommend and I would definitely return.

The quality is very bad! The rooms are old, the beds are bad, the room cleaning is very bad! It’s all old and already should have been changed 10 years ago. The restaurant is very bad! Quality from food is bad. There is no choice at all. It is like they are saving money on food 24/7. From 10 days staying here, only one evening it was okay. Further all the drinks are watery, the food is tasting bad. They use food from previous days for the next day. And it was sold as a 4 star hotel… it is not even 2 stars, that’s how bad it is. Also the sea is very bad, there are huge stones everywhere. The room window can’t be opened because of the mosquitos, and there is no “window against mosquitoes”. But you can always choose the airco right? Well, they haven’t cleaned it for approximately 10 years… so if you turn it on the whole room is dusty and smells very bad! Never had so bad feelings on vacation. Never again!!!

Nice spot. Really enjoyed it. Hotel clean and well laid out. Food is good. A little it of a walk to get to the nearest restaurant, though not bad. Night entertainment is not great and takes away from the overall experience. Shame, because the staff are friendly and helpful. Nice place and worth a visit.

The bungalows are the greatest asset of the hotel: renovated, well-decorated, and spacious (with two private patios), they offer all the necessary amenities (fridge, microwave, stove), good lighting, and amazing views (Sea View Junior Suite). The hotel is also in a calm and quiet area, with plenty of free parking spots, which is a plus. The staff is very friendly and polite. Special thanks to Johanna, who greeted us with a big smile and kindness. The biggest downside of this hotel is definitely the food. The buffet (breakfast/dinner) has no variety/options, and the food is mediocre at best. Additionally, we were surprised to learn on our first day that drinks (wine, coffee, water) are not included. This information was not communicated beforehand. Honestly, don't waste your money on a half-board option because it's not worth it and you will be disappointed. It's better to take the 2-minute drive (or 20-minute walk) to downtown Costa Calma and enjoy the numerous restaurants. Another negative aspect was the appearance of cockroaches in our bungalow at 11 PM. We reported it immediately, but the person at the reception at that time could not help and told us to come back in the morning, which we did. They promised a better cleaning that day, gave us bug spray to use, and explained that "they are everywhere on the island and we already do preventive treatments every month." The nonchalant attitude was a bit disappointing. We understand that tropical weather comes with these cons, but still, cockroaches can transmit diseases and should be taken seriously. We didn’t sleep peacefully after that, always wondering if we would find more (we did). No compensation was offered for the inconvenience. Apparently, it's a normal thing in the Canaries and not considered a big deal. Overall, we had a good stay and would recommend this hotel, mostly because of the quality of the bungalows.

Really nice apartments, we choose with view to the sea and didn't regret it. Nice swimming pool, clean and well maintained apartments with a complete kitchen, it doesn't have a dishwasher, but we ate mostly in restaurants, we only had breakfast at the hotel. The balcony is spacious and, with the view, is great. The beach is walking distance, about 300mts via a dirt road. I will definitely come back.

Great rooms, apartments with your own kitchen, living room, private outdoor space between the kitchen/livingroom and the bedroom with the connected bathroom. We also had extra space at the from with our own two sunbeds. Very quite part of the island withe a 10 min walk down to the hill along the sister hotel building and about 15 min walk to the closest Spar shop to get anything you might need.

Nice apartments, very nice and helpful staff. But the food (breakfast in our case) wasn't good quality, everything tasted kind of cheap. The breakfast eggs, for example, have classification number 3, so it's cage eggs you're getting there! In Belgium it isn't even allowed to sell cage eggs... So, all together, in my opinion, this hotel isn't on the level of a 4.5 rating.

Excellent hotel, very clean,well maintained rooms modern with a lovely shower and cleaned everyday. H10 is a great brand with top standards. All inclusive - great food and drink choice. Moscow Mule a must try! Sun loungers always available,Pools great, kids loved the splash park. Brilliant access to the beach. Staff really friendly & really try to keep the queues for drinks to a minimum! Entertainment in the evening was good and started at a reasonable time for the kids. Thanks for a great holiday !

This is our 3rd visit here and will be probably the last. It's a nice hotel very clean and tidy. We have paid for the privilege but is not worth it. The only good thing with the privilege is the private pool, but there should be an improvement by adding snacks and a coffee machine. There is only orange water with ice and some prosecco and a water machine. In our room was every day filled the fridge with water, soft drinks and beer and also a coffee machine and kettle which is good. The rooms are cleaned very well every day. The food is good here if you are not too fussy and quite repetitive but it is everywhere the same. The privileged restaurant is nothing special we ended up eating every day in the main restaurant. They need here definitely more staff as they are very tired and grumpy as they are doing 2 or maybe 3 people’s jobs. Long queues at the bars. If you ask for a cocktail they make you something that is very strong and not very nice it’s as if they do it so you don’t come back. So much waste of alcohol to make one cocktail which ends up in the bin they weren't even what was ordered, nice pub down the road that does fresh ones. The privilege lounge is open from 9 am to 8 pm there is nothing special. There are only some brands of alcohol, a fridge with soft drinks and some crisps(always soft as they are in a jar) nuts and cookies. You also get looked at funny by the staff because you are privileged but there are some people who take privilege to a different level more like entitled maybe that's why the staff are also do grumpy. Sometimes there wasn't anything and nobody bothered to replenish it when we complained about no cups fit coffee and that the whole of the cabinets were covered in empty bottles and used cups (from the am) the receptionist just made a call but no one came and they didn't seem bothered that we weren't getting what we had paid for in the privileged package. Most Receptionists are grumpy and do not care about complaints majority of staff really don't care if you are happy or not. One other thing which was mentioned when I asked if I could take a bottle of coke to my room from the privilege lounge I was told whats in the privilege lounge is for the privilege lounge nothing can be removed even if its just to your room. The privilege lounge was closed for 24 hours at one point in our holiday due to maintenance, the whole time it was closed no one did anything in there there was no maintainace taken place while it was closed.

We have just returned from 10 days at the H10 Tindaya. 4 adults and 2 children (aged 1 and 4). There was plenty for everyone to do. Kids club (although we didn't use this) play grounds, splash park, adventure golf and the go karts were a huge hit for the kids. Adult daytime entertainment running with various activities like aqua gym, volleyball, stretching on the beach, games, dancing lessons and much more. The pools were great, the pirate ship with slides and also the warmer pool by the pool bar had entertainment too. Foam party every Wednesday lunchtime in the top pool was a huge hit with everyone too. Only a short walk down to the beach directly from the hotel. Lots of chipmunks to feed if you wanted. A few nudists every now and then. Beautiful sandy beach with sunbeds (at an extra cost). The food was lovely and varied. Same with the drinks. Also the route 66 restaurant has amazing food! Highly recommend going in there! All the staff were friendly and helpful. Charaf in the buffet restaurant exceptional service and very good with children, always keeping them entertained during meal times. The rooms were lovely and spacious with fabulous views. We had a sea view junior suite and was perfect. Cleaned every day by the maids who do a fantastic job. Our room also had shampoo, Conditioner, shower gel, moisturiser, shaving kits, dental kits etc too. The whole hotel was clean and tidy. There's a couple of little shops inside the hotel where you can get some snacks or souvenirs. The only negatives would be: Sometimes the queues for the bars could be a little long. Mainly when they had just opened though so if you go slightly after it was better. The beds are very hard, so if you like a soft mattress be prepared! There's not much outside of the hotel but as the hotel had everything you didn't need to go out! We were worried when reading all the other reviews but honestly Overall we had the best stay at this hotel and would 100% go again!

Stayed here 2 weeks for family vacation in September. We quite enjoyed it. Very kid's friendly. Perfect access to the beach. Hotel was not full so we had no issues with any of the facilities. Only negativ take care of the room key cards - esp. IPhone with Magcase whiped out ours at least once a day (sorry for the staff at the reception who had to hand out new cards to us all the time)

Wonderful, clean and well organized hotel. Rooms are spacious, food is great, cocktails as well, easy access to the beach, everyone is so friendly and welcoming. There is only one minus; there should be for breakfast some exotic fruit to choose or even maybe more fruit varieties (apples and grapes are not so exotic if you ask me)

My family’s experience at this hotel was extremely disappointing. We arrived with two small children and were shocked to find that harsh chemical products had been used in our room. When we expressed our concerns to the management, we expected understanding and a resolution. Instead, we were met with an astonishing level of arrogance. The manager was dismissive, insisted the chemicals were fine, and when we said it was unacceptable, we were told to leave immediately—no refund, no compensation, nothing. We have been returning to this hotel for the last 8 years or so - despite travel agents trying to get us to move to more updated hotels . No uk holiday companies organise packages here now. We have to get our agent to book the flights & rooms for us & we email the hotel to choose our rooms. The hotel is a bit tired & needing some maintenance really, but it is great for us. Positioned beautifully in the centre of Costa Calma beach & easily walked to down a prepared path. When the tide is out you can walk for hours along the sand. All bedrooms have big balconies and are a good size with large en-suites & cleaned daily . Only the 4th floor does not have a sea view - obscured by the other floors. Staff are very friendly & helpful. Food is a good selection of hot & cold buffets with most of the hot food freshly cooked in front of you. There are 2 big swimming pools & plenty of sun beds & outdoor poolside bars. Putting green overlooks the beach. Spa area has a small indoor pool & weight room , jacuzzi, sauna etc massage treatment etc hairdresser. Most clients are German & not youngsters & don’t tend to speak much Spanish or English . Very few children come here. Evening entertainment is good & tends to be outside in the sheltered bar area . Evenings are quiet . Most folk go to bed by 11 A small shopping centre is a 5 min walk away to get water, snacks, suncream etc

When I was booking this hotel, on the pictures available was different impression. All looked much better, newer. On the Internet was stating that it has entertainment, animation. However hotel is in much needed refurbishing condition. Only entertainment was 2 singers evry evening and they would finish at 10:30 pm. After that you could only go to your room or stay drinking at the bar, no music. Rather boring environment for a 4 Star resort. Little town outside of resort looked rather dull too as lot of facilities were permanently closed. Renta car in the hotel was quite pricey and rest of them outside of hotel were all booked. We went to Tenerife last year and it was different story. Hotel was as the pictures showed, there was a lot to do around and prices were very reasonable all around. We did had a good rest in Costa Calma Palace and good time chilling on the pool, also staff was good as well. But as a person who traveled around the world, I feel like this resort needs major updates or lower the starts to 3 as it's not fair to pay the price for 4****. Wish you success in future.

THE STAFF STEALS: The hotel boasts a strategic location that allows you to reach all the highlights of the island by car in about 45 minutes. If you want to stay in the hotel with tranquility and enjoy the structure, you will be lucky enough to have one of the most beautiful beaches on the island just a few steps away. Unfortunately, my opinion of the hotel was tainted by an unacceptable theft of the airpods by the staff in my room. When I returned to the room in the early afternoon I noticed the presence of an iPhone (not belonging to my family) attached to the charging cable in my room. Having noticed the cleaning staff's trolley a little further ahead, I decided not to take the iPhone and not to report the incident to the reception so as not to cause harm to the person. In the evening, when I returned from the beach, the external iPhone was no longer there, too bad that in addition to having taken the iPhone back, the Airpods placed next to it were STOLEN. Before reporting the incident, I meticulously checked every corner of the room to avoid creating an uncomfortable situation for the staff who were cleaning the room. Having accepted the fact that the Airpods had indeed been stolen, I decided to report everything to the reception. Even though I knew that they would be unlikely to be recovered, I reported everything to the reception, also providing information on the color of the iPhone in the room, on the cover and on the details, hoping that they could question the person who had cleaned the room and verify the veracity of the story by looking at that person's iPhone. Following my report, the hotel manager, a blonde lady, Priscilla H., showed up and instead of apologizing for the inconvenience, preferred to ask me questions like: - Are you sure that the iPhone couldn't have belonged to a "friend" of your girlfriend? - Why, if you found an external iPhone in the room, didn't you take it directly to the reception? Completely diverting attention from the fact that the staff of his hotel had first of all made a mistake in charging the phone in my room when they were no longer present in the room, and above all secondly had committed a THEFT. I asked the manager if he could kindly check who had come in to do the chores, and if he could ask if they had taken the airpods by mistake. In the following days I did not hear from them again. It is shameful and indecent to immediately commit a THEFT on vacation by the Staff of the structure where you are staying, but even more shameful is the TOTAL INDIFFERENCE OF THE MANAGERS OF THE STRUCTURE.

Please be warned that this hotel is next to a very loud street with music until 2-3am. The carousel music starts already in the evening and after that they have the party with a lot of bass. It makes the nearby building to shake and the windows to vibrate.

The hotell is good generally the worst down side is the rooms above the bar is like a smoking chamber. Once you open the balcony door all smoke from below fills your room.There are small smoking signs which the management do not enforce. Where do they expect non smokers to relax? There should be a designated smoking area way from rooms. I did not enjoy the balcony view at all and the swimming pool.Mind you see view rooms come with extra cost. The management should remove all ashtrays from area below the rooms and have a one fixed ashtray away from rooms and also the swimming pool, or make the hotel smoking one so that non smokers do not book.I experienced the worst encounter with smokers for 7 days.Instead of relaxing I had to keep on watching my surroundings to move away from smokers.This hotel should follow the European guidelines on smoking.Passive smoking is dangerous.

The hotel is one of many of SBH hotels scattered through Costa Calma. On arriving at the room it's large enough for 2 all the usual you would expect.. accept no kettle? No tea or coffee facilities in a 4 star hotel? No where to get a coffee in the morning until the restaurant opens at 8am!! I've never stayed in a hotel that has not provided tea and coffee in your room. To use the safe, you have to pay a deposit and there's a daily charge. To hire the towels, you have to pay a deposit. To use the sunbeds and brolly on the beach, you have to pay €15 a day!! Not enough sunbeds by the pool, so you need to be up and down by the pool early with everybody else! On the whole the hotel is okay.. is it a 4 star hotel? No. I will not be returning to a SBH hotel in any resort again.

Hotel looked ok when arriving, We were warned too much about break ins and robberies. Kinda put us on edge. Rooms are very outdated and needs modernisation. Food was ok although very same most days. Drinks in the evening were poor! They didn’t taste like they should have done possibly cause the staff didn’t have a clue how to make drinks. Staff were rude and assumed we were German as all guests were German. Other guests were very rude just barging other guests out the way! One rule was you couldn’t reserve beds although loads of beds reserved and no one at them. Glasses for drinks were too small so had to buy our own! No entertainment. Beware of shops ripping you off in the areas and begging you to come in to have a look. Need more reception desk staff! The safes are iffy! Beware as staff can gain access very easily! Seems like they are telling people where to rob! Safe to say we will NOT be returning. Definitely not a 4 star should really be a 3 max or even a 2 star!!

We stayed in a standard room. It was large, clean and very comfortable. All the staff are amazing. I would love to go back. If you need a kettle for your room, ask the front desk. We had two electric sockets in our room, if you need more you will need an extension cable. Taro Beach have the most friendly feral cat colony. They also have the best view at the hotel. I truly hope your experience will be as good as ours was.

Sunbeds: this is a frustration every day, as sunbeds are reserved by people very early each day contrary to the hotel rules, and therefore it’s very difficult to get a sunbed. The hotel don’t enforce the ‘no reservation’ rules. People will reserve sunbeds all day yet only spend an hour using them. Each day, every single sunbed is taken, yet only 30% are actually being used - and it’s not accounted by folks in the pool. It’s a ludicrous situation. You won’t be surprised to hear it’s a 99% German patronage. We ended up just removing people’s towels and taking the sunbeds, and letting them try to argue for 2 minutes on their return hours later. #satisfaction Food: the food is very poor quality, and not a great selection. All inclusive food generally is always hit and miss but unfortunately comparatively this hotel has below average food for an all inclusive, especially surprising given this isn’t a cheap option for a resort. We ate out 4 times in a 5 day trip and skipped meals 3 times. Location: there is very little nearby to explore in terms of bars and restaurants. If you want to get outside the reality then I wouldn’t recommend. Pool: the pool isn’t heated and is quite cold, however it is a very pleasant area to chill if you manage to get a sunbed. ATM: 13% markup on conversions plus a fee per transaction is a joke. 1£ to 1€ conversion plus fees. Staff: Great staff generally especially reception staff. A couple of grumpy unfriendly ones which lessens the experience. Guy with dreadlocks in the entertainment bar on Thursday was outright rude. Guests: it’s a German resort so it’s not generally catered for English people - in fact a lot of staff don’t speak English so it’s worth knowing some Spanish. I found guests to be a mixed bag, just like anywhere, with some being friendly and others being inconsiderate.

It’s a beautiful place and that is all you are going to pay for. We have enjoyed our stay there, but it was mixture of good and bad feelings. Pros: - The rooms are clean, the cleaners are changing the bed sheets every day. The rest of the hotel is clean aswell. - The workers there are usually very smiley and kind. - They are very generous with the alcohols and there are some coctails which are very tasty. I do recommend daikiri limon. - The garden is gorgeous and the pools are nice. - The souvenir shop has a lot of nice things, you can also buy snacks there. - There were some fun programs near the pools. Cons: - The food is very avarage. I think we enjoyed the breakfast mostly, but other than that it was not the best. Lunch and dinner had lot of deep-frozen food and it was like almost the same foods every day, with some sort of variation. I just feel like they were aiming for quantity and not for quality. But we did not try the other restaurant in the hotel. - The soundproofing of the rooms are terrible. We had difficulties with sleeping. - You have to pay 1 or 2€ to play billiards and for the other funs. - The toilet paper is double layered which is nonsens in a 4 star hotel. - We did stuck in one of the elevator for like 20 mins. - The air conditioner was leaking in our room and it was very noisy. It was a great hotel! The hotel and the garden was clean. We enjoyed every minutes ;) The pools were beautiful but not too warm :D The food were varied, and delicious. You need to pay for the safe (I do not like it, because it is a safety equipment). If you are thirsty when you wake up at the middle of the night, you can’t find useable water machine in the hotel, so you need to thinking before night, and carry some water to the hotel room. They were a lot of program in the hotel, which were very enjoyable (Specially thanks for David, Claudia, Laura, Lorenzo, Claudio, you are the best team, and my friend Jonathan who is the best Barman in the whole island ) All in all we are satisfied, and we can recommend this hotel! The rooms are average. The pool area is nice and it's a few steps from the beach. The food is terrible, very bad quality produce, and dishes that aren't finished at one meal are just badly made into something else over the next couple meals. Main issue was that nothing is labelled with proper allergens. My partner is allergic to fish and constantly felt the effects of his allergy due to the girls being swapped from cooking meat/fish every meal. He was also constantly getting dishes then realising it had bits of fish throughout. All the cocktails are from a machine and the 'juice' is just concentrate mixed with water. Not really what you expect from 4 stars. Another main issue is the sunbeds, there are signs throughout the pool area explaining you cannot reserve them however nearly every sunbed is covered in peoples towels by 8am who don't come to use until at least 11/12. We ended up moving peoples towels as to the instruction of a staff member we asked. We had a big issue with a family of 10 who had 'reserved' 10 sunbeds with only 2 people actually there. The management dealt with the situation very poorly and it is clear they don't enforce their own rules which led to this altercation. I asked 3 staff members for help and no one helped. Poor management.

We went here in early October for a family birthday. The rooms were very nice and cleaned daily. on arrival only one room was ready which was fine as it was lunch time. the other two we had to wait for to be ready, one was about 3 but the final room was not ready till after 5. this was disappointing. note to all the balcony sliding doors auto lock so don't be outside and close them. food was amazing! drinks were fine although you have to pay extra for the premium drinks and ice cream? location is nice but be warned its a steep walk to the beach and my mother only made this trip once in the week. staff are friendly but this whole area is very German orientated. not many speaking English staff. but they were all A+. overall the stay was lovely and we would go back.

Again food acceptable, it's an all inclusive, set your expectations correctly. Would only come for the swim up room until they do the maintenance on the main pool

I stayed at this hotel for 5 days, the end of May. I checked in late at night and they had kindly saved a plate of food for dinner. The room is spacious and the bathroom is a good size too. I would have liked a few more pillows on the bed. The view from the balcony is lovely especially at sunrise. The beach is a short walk from the hotel. The room gets clean every day but had to request for more bottles of water. There’s a decent selection of food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The pool area is okay but on a windy day the parasols have to be kept closed so that they don’t blown away. The gym has decent equipment. The staff are friendly.

We spent 10 days here and thoroughly enjoyed our time here. It was a relaxed and quiet place. We had a room with our own plunge pool, which was lovely. Only thing to say here is it lacked finishing touches, and could do with some English channels on the TV for siesta time, or last thing at night. The reception team are friendly and helpful. We leave early in the morning, so we had the option of booking an early breakfast, so we can eat before leaving. A good idea, we think. This leads us to the food. The chefs should get commended on their cooking. We didn't have one tough piece of meat. It was always tender and cooked to perfection. Only little niggle is that the food wasn't always that hot, but it didn't ruin it for us. There was no bad stomachs with us or other guests that we know of, so no harm done. Another little thing is the labeled for the food wasn't always correct, so just check before piling your plate up. The waiting staff were friendly and always clearing your empties away. Lovely people. The hotel was kept very clean. They all worked hard. We had clean towels nearly every day, I think there was only one day we didn't get them. A bit of a language barrier, but we just let them do their thing, as they liked to come in and clean for you. Again, good service. The pools were checked morning and night, and cleaned in the morning. Cannot fault the staff here at all. The entertainment was good on certain nights, supersonic were fantastic, and the sax player and his singing partner (sorry for mental block on names) were our particular favourites. There could be a bit more lighting around the back, through the gate to go to the shops. It is rather dark there at night. A supermarket is situated at the front of the hotel, a spar shop to the back. Shopping centers are short walks and longer ones, depending on where you want to go and what for. There's plenty to accommodate near though. The beach access is a little tiring, as there's a steep hill back up, so if you have leg, back, knee problems, it's worth a note on that. Overall a very enjoyable holiday and would consider another visit back.

Stayed here for 10 days never again this hotel is never a 4 star. Got there toilet wasn't working plug in sink wouldn't work patio door wouldn't lock and the light was hanging of the ceiling. The pool was dangerous the tiles were broken at the bottom how no one didn't cut there feet amazes me. The food was just basic and you couldn't use the lounge bar until the pool bar closed at 6.30 all of it is run on a shoe string. No facilities for the disabled the lifts broke down so all people had to use the stairs. So when people see the pictures on the internet it's all a lie.

I am quite a critical person myself, but I find it unbelievable how some people complain about this hotel in their reviews. We booked all-inclusive and didn't regret it for a moment. If possible I would even give Sotavento 6 stars. Of course it's not perfect, but you won't find that anywhere. We had 10 wonderful days here. We enjoyed the sun, sea, beach, swimming pool and the food. And such nice and hardworking people work here! They do everything they can to give guests a nice holiday.

Hotel is german managed and staffed, all activities in German. Spotted some cockroaches around the walls outdoor. The original (double) room smelt bad because of piping bathroom. Dinner buffet 1st night of poor quality, breakfast + buffet other nights good. Hotel manager offered a better room + wine + fruit basket to compensate. We were also offered a refund of the remaining nights if we preferred to change the hotel. + friendly staff + satisfactory compensation + quality buffet was good (except for night 1) + location right at a nice beach + clean facilities, well maintained - rooms, terrace furniture & pool chairs outdated - hotel area deteriorated/ abandoned - kitchenette includes coffeemachine + cutlery, but coffee filters and detergent must be purchased separately.

No complaints up until the incident at dinner. I tried to make a cup of tea to eat with a desert, when a member of stuff grabbed a cup from my hands and another member shouted that tea is only for breakfast. When asked to speak to manager I was ignored. I then went to reception to ask for the general manager, however I was told they cant contact him/her. In general, everyone at the restaurant was very aggressive in the way they talked and how they tried to enforce the rules like no tea drinking at the dinner, even though tea and hot water was on the display at the buffet , and no signs were there to inform that it is only reserved for breakfast. Similarly often quite aggressive in how they enforce partial closures of the restaurant before the official restaurant closing time when staff decides they want to start cleaning the area early. As a result, last hour of dinner and breakfast, half of the restaurant is closed and is being loudly cleaned which makes you feel as if you are already sitting past the working hours even though that is not remotely the case. This is a shame, given how friendly the reception stuff is most of the time and the location of the hotel is very good.

Missing the Spanish flair, food, music, language. Nothing against German language but I travel to Spanish territory looking for something Latin. The feeling is like being in Germany but with sun.

Half board stay with my family in May 2024 and had a few days in our villa with no Wifi, which was frustrating and disappointing. We had contacted reception and a man came to look at it and said that he just started 2 months ago and that we will have to wait for his colleague to come and fix it the following day. No one actually came to fix it after all! Also, we experienced poor service from the waiter Antonio, who was very rude to us because we asked simply where to find a item in the restaurant and he seemed like he didn't want to serve us, as he throw his hands up in the air, walk off and mumbled something to herself in Spanish. This spoilt the rest of our stay as my partner wasn't comfortable going for meals. This is our 3rd time in Fuerteventura and will definitely not consider stsying here again. Its nothing like the Bahiazul Villas Resort that we previously stayed at (better villa, better service, better environment etc) which is definitely where we will be going back too.

Delightful hotel which is very different from the soulless corporate buildings nearby. Lovely gardens and wonderful self contained rooms. The breakfast choice is absolutely wonderful. We had bed and breakfast so did not eat an evening meal in the hotel. The restaurant that adjoins the hotel (Restaurant Del Gato) is outside the security gate - the food was quite good but the building itself is somewhat lacking in atmosphere - it is a pity they could not bring this restaurant into the grounds so that you could eat outside in the cactus garden rather than a dated marquee. It was also a bit strange for a 4 star hotel that you had to pay for coffee in your room - this would normally be free. The hotel itself would benefit from having a bar in the evening where you could chill with a glass of wine.

The hotel isn't too big and offers basic features such as a small pool and an area to lie in the sun. Another area to stay and spend time would be nice, but you can sit in the restaurant if you want to. There, it can be windy at times, but that didn't bother us too much. The highlight is the staff which was friendly and helpful at all times. In general, you get what you pay for and we were happy with that!

I recently stayed at Hotel Taimar and was thoroughly impressed by many aspects of my visit. The services were exceptional, with the staff being incredibly friendly, attentive, and always willing to help with any request. From check-in to check-out, they made me feel welcome and well cared for. The rooms were spacious, modern, and most importantly, immaculately clean. Every detail, from the bed linens to the bathroom, was spotless, which really added to the overall comfort of the stay. The hotel also had a neat and tidy atmosphere throughout, which was very reassuring. The only downside of my experience was the food. While what was available was of decent quality, the options were somewhat limited. The variety felt a bit sparse, especially for a longer stay. There could definitely be more choice, particularly for guests who enjoy a broader selection at mealtimes. Overall, I had a fantastic stay at Hotel Taimar, and if the food options were improved, it would easily be a perfect experience. While my stay at Hotel Taimar was largely positive, one thing to note is its location. The hotel is about a good 20-minute walk from any reliable restaurants or shops. So, if you're looking for a wider selection of dining options or to do some proper shopping, you'll need to plan for a bit of a walk. There are a few small corner shops within a 2-minute walk, but they don’t hold much stock of any importance, mostly offering basic items. This might be slightly inconvenient for guests who prefer having more amenities close by. However, for those looking for a quiet, more secluded stay, the location can still be quite appealing with stunning views seen from the pool side and around the hotel.

Firstly, I want to commend the staff at this hotel – they are truly wonderful and attentive. We chose this hotel because it was advertised as wheelchair-friendly, which is true in terms of accessibility. However, we didn’t anticipate that there would be no entertainment or activities provided for guests with mobility challenges. Even more disappointing is that the hotel couldn’t offer any information on local activities or attractions. As for the area surrounding the hotel, it feels desolate – like an abandoned city filled with only hotels. There's simply nothing to do nearby. We were also drawn to the promise of a heated pool, but sadly, it’s quite small and far too cold to enjoy. In the end, the hotel offers the bare minimum: basic food, basic rooms, and a cold pool.

I’ve just come back from a 10 day holiday at Hotel Taimar, and feel Very Let Down and Disappointed by My trip. Advertising Photos look great, but in reality no where near the same. Advertised as a 4star hotel, but the only way this hotel could get 4stars is if The Beatles stayed there. I paid for a room with a sun-bed outside with a curtain around it but all I got was some old rusty fittings where the curtains used to hang. It’s was the same for all the rest of these types of rooms. The actual room was big and spacious with a powerful Massive Shower that could fit 10 people in it. Found a couple of dead cockroaches on two separate occasions but nothing to put Me off. The Food was ok, but got cold quite quickly but that’s probably down to the dining area situated in a Wind Tunnel. I put My foot in the “open refrigerator “, Sorry I meant to say Swimming Pool, on the first day, and didn’t got back for two days. Finally plucked up the Balls (mind you, they soon disappeared) to get in the pool and it was Very Refreshing ( that’s code for bloody freezing). The hotel is very isolated, and with No entertainment at night, and No nearby Bars or Restaurants, it was early nights every night. Hotel isn’t 4star but the Staff are all 5 Star.

As a former area manager for the UK's biggest hotel chain Premier Inn, I would like to share insight into my experience. Having recently visited Hotel Taimar, there are room for improvements on multiple levels. Arrival - We arrived late to be met with a plate of food which was very thoughtful. However, The food contained Prawns and other seafood which can be very problematic regarding food safety, giving my masters in environmental health, I advised my friends not to consume the cold fish which had been left out at room temperature. Food- Having travelled the world this is the smallest restaurant that I have been to in an all inclusive resort, I was optimistic... There is plenty of fish and salad but that's it. There Isn't a wide range of food defiantly room for improvement regarding the selection of dishes available. Avoid if you are vegetarian as you will be eating chips and salad during your whole stay which the occasional cold pasta and tomato sauce. Every meal during our stay was Luke warm in temperature or cold. I do believe that the hotel is aware of this as there is a microwave in the restaurant, however the microwave is useless and does not heat the food. My travel partner stated said it works but you have to heat the food for 5 minutes. Who wants to wait 5 minutes for there food to be warm? Please invest in suitable serving equipment, insulated so that food is not cold. In addition to this, there is no replenish of desserts once the first servings are eaten. For an all inclusive hotel why are you not replenishing food/desserts?. Bar: The bar closes at 11pm. However, if you go to the bar at 10:50 for your last drinks you won't get served as it will be closed. Facilities: There isn't anything to do in the hotel for example entertainment. However, the grounds of the hotel were very clean and nice. The room was clean and was serviced daily. The bathroom being the masterpiece, powerful shower. Service: Every single reception member of staff need adequate customer service training. The housekeeping team were so friendly and polite they are a ray of sunshine, alongside the bar staff. There we 4 of us staying at Hotel Taimar, During our stay we hired an iron. The ironing board was covering in a cheap polyester cover which is a fire hazard. The material was not satisfactory for its purpose it was cheap and flimsy. This resulted in the material of the ironing board burning once it came into contact with the iron. When discussing this with the reception staff they were very dismissive and rude, in which we asked to speak to a manager. The manager Briseida Bautista was rude, very defensive and lacked adequate communication skills. Her code of conduct was not satisfactory for a senior member of staff. There was no need to be rude and defensive when being questioned. When there was no adequate explanation she started to deflect and become aggressive and rude. After this situation happened the staff changed there behaviour towards us, like we were thugs. We offered to replace the cover and we was threatened with legal action if we didn't.... We are 4 educated successful Black Women, 1 lawyer, 1 Consultation Midwife in a private hospital, 1 Director of a private tuition company and I myself work for the UK Government. 6 Degrees between us with one currently studying for her PHD. I can see where you may have been intimated being challenged by educated black women, please be assured that we are women of good etiquette. Your guest experience needs improving. The hotel is small and relevantly new, there is no reason for this hotel not to be of high standards. Hotel Taimar has great potential. However right now it is barley satisfactory. Fabulous hotel.good variety on the buffet. Restaurant had some outdoor seating with Fabulous views overlooking the cacti and the sea. and nice quality food.room was spacious. Everywhere was very clean. Pool lovely and plenty of sunbeds.people left towels to reserve sunbeds even though there was notices not to do this. The indoor pool was very quiet and warm. Lovely! Only drawback for me as a single traveller was no nearby bus stop. Overall, a Fabulous hotel for a complete getaway, relaxing holiday.

Best food I have ever had in a hotel. Best choice of Drinks and the facilities are clean and well run. However the entertainment and activities need work. Need more of the classics like a quiz night and karaoke. It's these things that create a community amongst the guests at that time. This is no fault of the solo member of the animation team. He is doing the job the hotel are asked Ng him to do and he is doing it very well. I really enjoyed the water polo.

This was my first visit to Fuerteventura and it will not be my last. H10 Esmeralda has a friendly staff and great food. Tracy was so helpful with a couple of issues that came up for me while i was staying. The main restaurant has a very good range of food at each sitting. The staff are quick to make sure you have your desired drinks, which was good. There is always plenty to go around and when a selection is running low, the staff are quick to replace. A great experience for me for my first visit. Thank you.
