We stayed here a few days beginning of October for a short holiday. The experience was really great, everything very comfortable . The quality and variety of food for breakfast and dinner was outstanding. The beach 🏖️ close by and the pool and garden also much appreciated. We would love to come back!

I have been lucky enough to have visited quite a few holiday resorts and AP Oriental is one of the best ones.
We have spent 6 nights there, and got a room upgrade.
Our suite was spacious and clean.
The hotel has a great decor.
The pool is a bit small, but the garden and sunbathing area is wonderful.
The hotel has a direct access to the wide, sandy beach.
Food in the hotel is above what is expected in a buffet setup. Every day fish, prawns, nice variety of meat, salads for dinner. Breakfast is quite bread-focused but much better than in Spain or Italy.
The restaurant has a wonderful view of the ocean.
Anyone complaining need to have their expectations right. This place is great in an amazing location and the hotel team has been also cool.
Strongly recommended.

Great location, beach beautiful but restaurant needs a revamp as it serves cold food and minimal choice. Only 1 bottle of water supplied on arrival and never foc with your evening meals. Very strange walking through dining area to get to pool and back to lounger in gardens. Alcohol in bar area very good quality, but very sporadic in service while on loungers. The ice cream parlour opposite the hotel is amazing, and the food in the harbour area is great. Overall very relaxing, enjoyed the peace and quiet and late evenings was lovely just chilling in the outside bar area playing cards and chatting.

Worst hotel ever - not even water is complimentary in the rooms. For meals, you get served a meal - no water, no juice. You pay to even drink water with your meals. Can’t help but think it’s greed driving this decision by the hotel and restaurant. For how much guests pay to stay here during Afro Nation, you’d think they’d at least offer water complimentary with meals. Do not recommend staying.
Rooms were dusty too.
Response to manager: The room booked is a suite and I asked for water at the front desk - I was informed I had to go to the restaurant to buy it. Why did your front desk misinform me? And why is water for sale in your hotels restaurant? I’ve never seen that anywhere in the world. Room is dusty. Bathroom stinks. No basics in the room - not even slippers. For the amount paid (triple to quadruple prices because of the festival) the minimum you can do is provide basics and excellent service which is sorely lacking here.
Also, what do you mean by half-board and not all-inclusive? One, I paid full price for a suite. Two, what does that have to do with the issue I raised about lack of basic necessities for a hotel stay? Three, where is the documentation informing me this stay isn’t all inclusive?
This terrible hotel doesn’t even provide lunch. Other hotels in the area that cost far less provide lunch.
The only good thing about this hotel is the location. I still don’t recommend a stay here.

My initial expectations were quite high, so I was disappointed at first. The hotel lacks dedicated parking, directing guests to find street parking on their own. Although I paid for a room with a sea view, ongoing construction at the hotel meant my view was obstructed by dirt and a construction site. The rooms are spacious and the bathrooms are nice, but having the bathroom window open into the hallway is rather unpleasant. However, the hotel is redeemed by its excellent location and the quality of the food served at breakfast and dinner.
