Luna Hotel da Oura

We chose the Luna for the location and the apartment size, it was spacious for two. It was cleaned every day, comfortable and has all the basic for a week away self catering. The decor is basic but I don't mind if the facilities are good.

Stayed as a group of 10 girls for a holiday. Booked through Love Holidays and everything was in order. A few flaws present though such as- as far as I’m aware a deposit wasn’t mentioned when booking but upon arrival when the receptionist realised we were a group each room had to pay a deposit of €300. Only knew about this prior as friend rang ahead. Me and my friend stayed in a room together and we still had to pay the full €300. Think a deposit is reasonable but we weren’t informed. Also believe one of the rooms was broken into via the balcony as no housekeepers had been in and my friend heard talking and people in the room. Hotel didn’t take it seriously which is quite scary for a group of 18 year old girls. Nothing was taken so we believe it might have been other guests messing around. Rooms were clean and well equipped for self catering. Only 5 minute walk from strip which was great. Nice indoor and outdoor pool. Have to wear a swimming cap in the indoor one( purchasable at reception €4) Would stay again if the need arose.

Second time here from canada. Close to everything. Great pool to have afternoon nap. Rooms quite large and clean. Will stay there again next year.

We were top floor, rooms were decent to be fair. Everything you needed them to be. Pool was fine, place was busy. Staff friendly, key card stopped working every night. Slightly annoying. All in all a nice, safe hotel. Decent bars local for meals etc and supermarkets nearby

From reading previous reviews i was a bit sceptical staying here as 2 young girls however i can’t recommend this hotel enough. The reception area is clean with many common areas to relax in. The rooms were clean and the only noise were from a few people in the corridor at night but not loud enough to complain about. However we didn’t use the facilities such as the pool so no comment on that. Only down side is the wifi doesn’t work and the check in time being 4pm after travelling all day. Overall i would definitely recommend coming from someone who was about to book another hotel after reading the previous reviews from the last couple of months. Is also a straight 25 min walk to the old town and 10-15 from the new town but ubers are cheap.
