Where to start with this place.. We arrived late and was told to pay 250$ which i thought this was a deposit. Then told to pay 100 for a deposit. I asked what the 250 was for and I was told it was a "resort fee" to use the swimming pool, use the arcade and the gym.
It would be nice if this was optional, we went to look at the arcade which as we paid 250 we though things would be free to play.. nope, buy tokens. Some machines was not working correctly and others looks like they where from the 90s.
The gym was what you think a hotel gym would be like, and the swimming pool was decent.
We never used any of this so a resort fee was pointless and a waste of money.
The room was okay, my wifes tablets was taken out of the room, we did not report this as we thought they was left at home. Money i left on the bed side table was taken while we was out. (Not a big amount, just a few dollars but thats not the point).
The aircon in the room sounds like a jet taking off which constantly woke us up.
I do not recommend this hotel. My deposit has not been returned yet and its been a week so far. A refund on the "resort fee" would be great as well as we never used anything and never planned on using them.

The hotel is good for general living and budget. However, we were really disappointed with the communication and parts of the cleanliness during our stay.
We had to call the front desk multiple times to report that our air conditioning had broken and was leaking. The leak was not major but there was a small puddle around it in the room. It didn’t make its way to our suitcases or shoes though. Maintenance didn’t arrive until around 2 hours after it was reported. Even though we had called many times to ask for updates, they still needed to be reminded of the issue. The next morning, we woke up to find the aircon leaking again and had to go back down to reception (after it was fixed). We were offered either a room change or to have it fixed again. When we returned later, we spoke to another staff member who had no idea about the issue, even though we asked for an update in the evening. Thankfully, when we went back to the room, it had finally been repaired.
I had also arranged a surprise for my boyfriend’s birthday and communicated with the reservations team in advance. They told me it had been passed on to the front desk, but when I arrived, there was no record of it. I had to fill out all the details again. I’d planned for the surprise to be ready at 6 PM on the 28th of September, but when I checked in with the front desk that evening, the staff member seemed confused and didn’t seem to know what I was talking about, even though I’d already paid. He said he’d call me in 10 minutes, and eventually confirmed someone would come to the room between 6:30–6:45 PM. However, 6:45 came and went with no one showing up. When I called back, he thought I was calling about a room issue, then quickly hung up to “check.” Ten minutes later, I had to call again, and he said someone was on their way. They finally arrived about 10 minutes after that.
On top of that, the cleanliness of the floor wasn’t great. We noticed whenever we walked around the room in our socks, they would turn black, which was really unpleasant. General cleanliness was decent but this negative weighed it down.
Overall, I felt that communication between departments and with guests was very poor. Every time I needed assistance or had arranged something in advance, I had to follow up multiple times to make sure it actually happened. Combined with the cleanliness issue, it definitely affected our experience and made the stay more stressful when I think a lot of the issues could easily be avoided.

I came for my 22nd birthday in September and I loved it! The staff were super friendly, the room was spacious and quite clean. The environment was literally spectacular! On Saturday there was an amazing DJ, he was great and he made it a very fun and interactive experience. Will surely be back again in November!

This was the 2nd time we stayed at the Avanti and it will be the last. Never again. The first room we were checked into the bathroom door would not close and looked like it hadn't even been fitted correctly. The room had a horrendous damn smell and if we stayed longer that one night in there we would have been extremely ill.
They did move us room but after a few days of being in the new room we found what looked like crystal meth beside the elevators.
Not one of the resorts laundry facilities worked. We were not told of this when checking in. After speaking to other guests it appears this had been the case for at least 2 weeks prior. When speaking to someone at the front desk I was told that we could take out washing up to another hotel 1.5 miles up international drive. No offer to pay for taxis there. I would go so far as to say the person could not care at all about the issue.
Thankfully Virgin holidays managed to move us hotels and into a much better one

Some upgrades on the rooms, but with worse quality. The “refurbished” bathtub had mold on the edges. In the bathroom, under the sink, there was a dehumidifier that made a lot of noise and blew hot air, making it impossible to stand near the sink.
The only positive thing was the location.
Manager Joseph Porlles was rude, unprofessional, and ruined my 50th birthday surprise.
I rented an executive room with a jacuzzi, but it wasn’t ready at check-in. Two hours later, they offered me a lower-category room at the same price. That room stank, so they moved me again. The third room’s A/C didn’t work properly, but I had to accept it after wasting three hours.
The manager’s “solution” was a $10 voucher for pizza 🤬 after many complaints. This was the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Several times we approached him, trying to get a better experience after he ruined my surprise, but he showed no courtesy or care.
On Sunday, September 28th, 2025, I was supposed to walk into a beautifully decorated room and see my daughter after three long months away at university. It should have been the perfect surprise. Instead, Joseph ruined everything, turning all that excitement into stress and frustration. My birthday dinner was even canceled because we had only 38 minutes left to get ready for an elegant evening.
The next morning, I met him in person, and his attitude was the same — careless, rude, arrogant, and unprofessional. Everything could have been different if he had at least apologized or shown a little care with a simple smile.
I canceled my second night and moved to a better hotel in the same price range. The pictures online do not show the reality. Staff makes a huge difference — and in this hotel, they made it worse.
