From the moment we stepped into the Royal Garden Villa, we knew we were in for something truly special. The attention to detail, both in the elegant decor and the warmth of the staff, was beyond exceptional. Every corner of the hotel exuded a sense of luxury and care, but what truly set this place apart was the incredible team who made us feel like family.
Fiona, in particular, left a lasting impression. Her kindness and thoughtfulness went far beyond what we expected, and she truly made our stay unforgettable. I mentioned in passing that I’d love to bring home a scent from the hotel for my mother-in-law as a keepsake. To our surprise and delight, when we returned to our room, there was a bottle waiting for us, a thoughtful gesture that touched my heart deeply.
The dining experience was equally remarkable, with every meal being a celebration of exquisite flavors and beautiful presentation. The restaurant is a true culinary gem, and each bite was a reminder of the quality and care the hotel pours into every detail.
The spa was another highlight — a sanctuary of serenity and relaxation, offering an indulgent escape that left me feeling rejuvenated and pampered.

The staff are friendly but when something goes wrong, fall apart.
I have visitied the hotel before. It has not changed in many years and is looking tired. The pool was dirty and the floors in the villa were also dirty (our feet were black)
The tiles that make up the villa were chipped and broken in several places (not exactly 5*)
The cleaners i'm not sure were doing much cleaning - Tidying yes but not cleaning - along the tops of the tiles in the bathrooms were thick dust.
The whole place is tired and dated - It needs money spent on it and certainly does not justiify the high prices charged.
We had a storm during our stay and communication from managament was non exisitant - There was a balcony that had been blown off from levels above - the whole place was torn through and our pool remained uncleaned for 3 days - enough was enough and we checked out early.
Customer service at its finest - we was not asked on checkout why we was checking out several days early, actually to this day the hotel management did not bother to email asking the reasons why.
We wont be returning, you can literally visit the maldives for the money this hotel charges.
A holiday we are trying to forget and one we was grateful to get home early from.

This is a truly amazing place to spend a few days with your loved ones. The villas are spacious are very well decorated. The hotel grounds are amazingly decorated as well, the gardens are lush and burst with plants of many kinds. Heated pools are a big W as well. Service was very good as well.

Excellent, professional and lovely staff. The check in was very professionally done, you felt you were welcome.
Everything is great, the room is kept very well. It is a very low-key hotel and that's what I love about it.

Very difficult to overstate how perfect our stay was. Just the most lush and indulgent place imaginable. Expensive, yes, but when you spend a lot of money AND GET YOUR MONEY'S WORTH, it's worth it. The villa was beautiful, and the restaurant was wonderful, but the most pleasant surprise wasn't the bricks and mortar, but the STAFF. Welcoming, friendly, easy going but attentive. NOTHING was too much trouble. Just lovely people, from the room service to the housekeeping, to the wonderful restaurant staff. lovely! What a wonderful experience!
