We had an enjoyable stay in a pretty area with scenic coastal walks and a nearby lively authentic village. The hotel is thoughtfully designed to blend with the surrounding nature and offers plenty of space. However, the layout is windy and requires A LOT of walking!
While the hotel is pleasant, it does feel tired in places, the towels also feel worn. Some refurbishment would breathe life into this beautiful location.
We opted for the “royal Level” upgrade and enjoyed the service, snacks and seating at the exclusive pool . Other small perks, included cava on arrival, and mini bar.
The main buffet offered fresher and in my opinion , better options than the Royal restaurant - The selection there was limited but the setting of the restaurant was pretty.
Good beds and great pillows .
The staff were friendly and warm, and while we wouldn’t return ourselves, we would recommend the hotel for its location and overall experience.

Our stay at Barceló Tenerife Resort back in September was nothing short of perfection! From the moment we arrived, we felt like we had stepped into paradise. The resort is immaculate, with breathtaking views and beautifully maintained grounds. The cleanliness is impeccable, exactly what you'd expect from a 5-star establishment.
The service is top-notch, with the staff going above and beyond to ensure every guest feels welcome. They were incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready to answer any questions or assist us in any way. The resort also has a fantastic app that made navigating our stay so easy—you can find everything you need, from restaurant hours to activity schedules, right at your fingertips.
We dined primarily at the Drago buffet because we opted for all inclusive and while the food could be a bit repetitive, it was always delicious and fresh. The variety was good, and we found plenty of options to keep us satisfied throughout our stay.
We specifically chose Tenerife for our holiday because of this resort, and it exceeded all of our expectations. Whether you're lounging by the pool, enjoying the excellent food, or exploring the island, Barceló Tenerife offers a slice of paradise you'll never want to leave. Highly recommend!

Barceló Tenerife is a fantastic place to stay if you’re looking for comfort and great vibes. The food is honestly next level – there’s so much variety, and everything tastes amazing. From fresh seafood to international dishes, every meal feels special. The themed buffets are a fun touch, and the à la carte options make it feel like you’re dining at a fancy restaurant every night. The flavors, the quality, and even how the food is presented are all spot on. Plus, the staff is super friendly, making the whole experience even better.

We stayed with our 3 kids in a connected room, which was super nice. The rooms are spacious, light and very comfy! The beds are big and good, an extra/warmer duvet would be a even better.
We stayed half board and the breakfast is great, so much choice! The dinner also much choice and variety (we stayed 2 weeks, so have seen most themes and varieties also because of Christmas and NY). The only down side was the too long cooked veggies and don't expect high class food, it is a buffet for many people.
Although the people were very friendly, the service in the restaurant could be better. For a 5 star hotel you expect someone to understand English and being able to say sentences like, can you sign please, instead of just "sign". Also they didn't know anything about the wines.
As for the many pools, we don't understand why the only heated pool is located exactly where the wind is most exposed. Which made it most of the days too cold to relax on a sunbed.. while the pool down, with the better view, was perfectly fine, but the water freezing. Also the Breeze bar, next to the heated pool, had all their tables in the shadow, which made it very cold to have lunch (now you understand the name of this bar..)
There is quite a lot of activities, but we were disappointed by the activities for the kids. No playground or kids things in the pool. Our kids (4, 7 and 9) didn't really enjoy the Kids Club, because it was a bit forced and they wanted to just play (outside). There is enough space to do stuff like volleyball, tennis, jeu de boulle, etc. Also the disco was a bit forced, instead of just dancing.
Unfortunately we had a stomach virus going on, otherwise we would have joined more shows. The one we did see was at NY's and was quite good! We were impressed :) The magma, where the shows take place, is huge though! Could be more cosy by decoration and making it (temporarily) smaller.
As for the location, all the fun stuff (besides the crazy busy English town of Las Americas) is about 1+ hour drive. The north is way more beautiful, but also can be up to 10 degrees colder. We decided to stay here for the warmth, but it is definitely not the prettiest part of the island ;)

If you want a lovely relaxed chilled hotel, this is the place for you. Only downside is the food and entertainment could be better.
Staff amazing. Rooms lovely. Hotel fantastic.
Spoke to a few guests who had been here up to 10 times in the past so it certainly has great appeal. Better entertainment and food would make this place 5* guaranteed
