We are staying at this hotel for a total of 11 days and, unfortunately, are quite disappointed. The service at the reception desk has been very poor and unwelcoming. Upon check-in, we received minimal information regarding procedures and available amenities. Both the breakfast and dinner buffets are, at best, average, and the dining area is extremely loud and overcrowded.
Room cleanliness is also lacking. The bathroom only has a sliding door, which fails to provide sufficient privacy, allowing sounds to be heard throughout the room. The biggest issue, however, is the sink, which has had a clogged drain since day one. When we mentioned this to the front desk, the staff member couldn’t even make a note to inform housekeeping for the following morning. The fact that housekeeping hadn’t noticed or addressed this issue by the fourth day speaks volumes.
The spa feels more like a children’s playground. Parents are actually bringing their screaming children into the sauna. Why is this even allowed? Any chance for relaxation is completely lost!
On the sixth day, we simply didn’t receive any towels. The cleaning staff took the old ones but didn’t replace them. When you call the front desk, they just hang up right away. Unbelievable.
Overall, I would not recommend staying here. This is our second experience with a Vila Galé hotel, but the quality here does not compare to that of Vila Galé in Galé.

I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. My husband and I just stayed here for 2 days as part of our holiday along the coast, and we got stuck in room 1007. Upon check-in, the guy was saying how “it’s a full house and not a room available”. I realize now he was telling us that because the room we got stuck with was musky smelling and air conditioning wasn’t working. It was the worst night stay along our 2 week vacation. We went to the front desk to say the Air Conditioning wasn’t working, to which they sent a guy and he said oh, this is normal across the entire hotel. The air conditioner is just built this way. So we did a test of it throughout the day and it just got worse. By that evening, we finally got a great front desk person who agreed to give us a different room. We got 3007 and what a concept, the air conditioning was working. Looks like they just have a lazy maintenance crew who didn’t want to work on it. Further to that, the front desk guy saying it was a full house, to try and get us to not complain, clearly knowing that air conditioner wasn’t working. The worst part of it all, waking up in the middle of the night drenched from sweating so much.
I don’t recommend this hotel. They clearly don’t care about their guests and they don’t want to fix something that would help their guest feel more comfortable. Stay somewhere else, where you get what you pay for and you have honest staff.

I’m staying at a Vila Galé hotel for the second time, and I’m really disappointed by the Vila Galé Lagos. The check-in was quick, but I didn’t get enough information about the hotel, its services, or what’s available. After searching online and connecting to the hotel Wi-Fi, I was able to find some answers, but both, the initial welcome and the information in the room need improvement.
Additionally, the hotel isn’t suitable for guests without children or anyone looking for peace and quiet. It’s noisy everywhere— in the rooms, hallways, during meals, and even in the spa. The spa should be a relaxing place, but it’s quite the opposite. The pool area (including the whirlpool) has been turned into a play area for kids and parents, which creates a lot of noise even in the sauna, steam room, and during massages.
I appreciate that the hotel focuses on being family-friendly, but they also need to consider guests who want a little bit of quiet space.
On the plus side, the location is close to the beautiful town of Lagos and a wonderful beach.
Edit:
The hotel has become quieter as it has emptied out over time, but unfortunately, the service has not improved. Despite the lower number of guests, the issues with service remain the same, which shows that the problems are not related to the number of people staying at the hotel.
A major issue at this hotel is the staff’s English skills, which are often insufficient. There are frequent misunderstandings and awkward situations because of the language barrier, making even simple requests frustrating.
While the hotel is modern and located in a great area, the lack of proper management and attention to guest experience really lets it down. The hotel could be wonderful, but poor communication and mismanagement make it difficult to fully enjoy the stay.

Very nice hotel. The hotel complex is huge, the staff is very helpful and friendly, the cleaning is on the top, never seen such a clean hotel. They also have a nice playground for kids and a kids swimming pool.
We had a half-board, breakfast are the same every day but the dinners were changing and everything was very tasty.
Across the road there is a big sandy beach.

The hotel is very nice and only a few minutes walk to the beach. The beach is very beautiful. Unfortunately, the food in the hotel restaurant is too bad. The restaurant is too small and you often have to wait in a long line. There are very few varieties and the taste is also average. It is not recommended to book an all-inclusive package.
