Good location.
Halfway for walks either to the Marina or Arroyo del Miel. Bus stops are on the main road just down the hill. Yes, it's a bit steep, but I am 68 and have arthritis and managed.
Just take your time.
Recommend walking to the marina for bus 121 to Mijas as it either doesn't come or is full by the local stop.
We preferred to go to Arroyo as it had lots more to offer in the way of train station, Spanish restaurants, bars and culture.
Or get bus 110 (or train) to Malaga.
The hotel is super handy for Bonanza Square, where you'll find loads of little bars and restaurants to spend a sunny afternoon or evening meals.
There's a little park nearby, too.
The hotel breakfast is very good with a selection that kept us happy for our weeks stay.
We choose to travel out of school holidays as buffet food and children don't fare well for us. On our last day this was proven. 2 ladies had brought 4 children, who ran a riot in the room. Pouring salt and pepper over tables and picking at food on the serving platters and then putting it back. Plus made a din in the room which had been so quiet all week. So pick your travel times to suit.
It was a bit rainy, so we didn't get to use the pool or sunbathing area. But it was kept immaculately clean and tidy. We snatched a few rays sitting outside in the bar area, which was very pleasant.
The rooms are a tad small but modern and bright, and cleaned every day. Rooms are just as on the photos. We had a pool facing room. Good for afternoon sun. The other side of the hotel, street view, would get great morning sun.
Staff were always pleasant and polite.
We would definitely visit again.

On arrival greeted by very friendly staff. Hotel is very spacious, clean poolside, stayed during the main season and surprisingly quiet, no music just very relaxing. The Buffett breakfast and dinner was superb. Very nice shower room available if you have a late flight. Situated on a steep hill but that wasn’t an issue for us. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

We stayed for 3 nights and overall, it was good experience.
Pros:
-Great breakfast and dinner buffet.
-Very strategic location to the most decent beach Playa Bil bil.
-Clean Room with a vanity table and dressing mirror.
-Free parking in front of the hotel and there's paid parking when it's full.
-Receptionists are very warm and friendly. We were greeted with a smile.
Cons:
-Bathroom door doesn't fit so it made too much noise closing it.
-We're about to leave 20 mins before the check-out time (11:00 AM), when new guests were sent to our room and attempted to open the door. It didn't really impact our stay that much (coz we're about to leave anyway), but it was really a strange experience.
-You can hear the noises from outside loud and clear.

Lovely hotel, had a 4 night stay here, rooms very clean, hotel is very clean and tidy too, the food is really good here both breakfast and evening meals always plenty of choice, fresh salad and fruit. The staff are friendly and helpful. Only downside is the big hill down to the beach and walkways, worth it though, build up a thirst lol. The hotel has no evening entertainment but plenty of places around or go into the Bali hotel right next door.
Easy bus stops below the hotel for access to many places and cheaper than taxis and efficient

The hotel is good.
Take the breakfast it is worth it.
I wasnt able to arrive on time due to the floods, so i missed my night in the hotel, they gave a full refund.
Just for that I would say go for this hotel, they treat you with empathy and kindness.
