Personally I don’t think it’s worth the 4 stars. The rooms need improvement (walls are thin, bathroom is tight, cupboard is falling off in the kitchen).
However if you are planning on cooking your own meals it’s perfect as you’re supplied with a toaster, kettle, hob and all utensils.
The welcome pack was great including a toothbrush, toothpaste, shower gel, comb, shampoo.
The staff is lovely. Room was cleaned regularly without having to ask.
Location is great as you’re close to shops, restaurants and only a short walk from the beach.
Taxi from the port to hotel €6.

Staff from reception to cleaner's and maintenance were very good. Apartment was very disappointing walls were paper thin, lack of wardrobe space, no information about how to work electric cooker or air-conditioning in fact no information about anything. Kept awake by people next door with TV on till 2-30 am and then chatting 😑. Very little space in bathroom, if you are big you could have a problem with the loo. Sky bar was quite nice and very reasonable prices

Room needed better cleaning (which they immediately did), particularly under the bed. For a 4 star hotel the facilities were poor, no bedside tables, inadequate lighting, very small bathroom (knees touching wash table cabinet while on toilet)...... Staff were very helpfull but had limited authority.

Fab hotel, room spotless & very friendly helpful staff. The location is perfect for beach, a supermarket on the corner and a short walk to the centre of Fuengirola where there is a vast array of high quality restaurants & bars. Would highly recommend & would definitely stay there again.

Sunday night and Monday till 12 oclock there was a power outage which affected the Electricity and water within the Veramar.
For approximately 16 hours there were no lights, no cooking facilities, no washing facilities and no toilet facilities. As well as these issues there was no Fire Detection throughout the Hotel and no back up lighting.
People were walking down the stairs in total darkness, with the potential for catastrophic falls! (There were lots of elderly people walking up and down, some with suitcases!!). On top of this the management team were handing out the T lights to people to use in their rooms which is totally unacceptable given the fact these are a fire hazard and had no protection, this put many lifes danger.
I could not sleep as I had no air conditioning and kept worrying what would happen if there was a fire!!
I was informed by the management team that people were left in their rooms because they like to sleep rather than be moved and be safe!
I am still waiting for a response from the hotel.
