We had a very pleasant stay at the Savoy Hotel in Marrakesh. The location is excellent—close to the Menara Mall and just a short drive from the Medina. The hotel grounds are beautiful, with lovely pools, spacious common areas, and a relaxing atmosphere. Our room was clean, comfortable, and had a nice view of the pool area. The breakfast buffet was generous and varied, with both local and international options.
Most of the staff were helpful and professional, especially the housekeeping and front desk teams. However, we did encounter a bit of confusion with the concierge desk. We asked about taxi prices several times during our stay, and each person gave us a different answer—sometimes quite far apart. This inconsistency made it difficult to know what to expect and left us feeling a bit uncertain when arranging transportation. It would be helpful if they had more standardized information or clearer communication regarding this.
Overall, though, we enjoyed our time at the Savoy. It offers a luxurious setting with great amenities, and with just a bit more attention to service details, it could easily be a 5-star experience.

I had a very pleasant stay at the hotel. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-designed — perfect for relaxing after a long day. The pool area was also a highlight: clean, spacious, and great for both swimming and relaxing.
The gym was impressive — well-equipped and very clean. A special mention goes to Coach Jawad, who was professional, respectful, and truly passionate about helping guests with their fitness goals. His coaching was excellent and made my workouts much more effective and enjoyable.
I would definitely recommend this hotel, especially for anyone who enjoys good facilities and great fitness support!

My stay at Savoy Le Grand Hotel in Marrakesh was one of the worst travel experiences I’ve ever had.
We had booked and fully paid for a room for two people. However, upon check-in, we were told that only one of us was allowed to stay. The reason? My partner holds a Moroccan passport. What they failed to recognize—or simply ignored—is that he is Dutch, born and raised in the Netherlands, and has lived there his entire life. He doesn’t know anything else but the Dutch culture and way of life.
None of this mattered. Because we didn’t have a marriage certificate with us, we were given an ultimatum: either pay for a second room (on top of what we already paid), or leave. No understanding, no solution, no willingness to help. In fact, the hotel staff were cold, dismissive, and made us feel like criminals. One receptionist even told us earlier that it would be “no problem” to stay together—yet later we were slapped with a €700 fine.
The most heartbreaking part? My partner had to sleep in our car for the remainder of the holiday.
It didn’t stop there. We had also paid for breakfast for both of us, yet were still charged an extra €40 during breakfast for the second person. When we questioned this, the staff responded with threats—saying they would call the police if we continued to complain.
The room itself was dirty, dated, and poorly maintained. There was a leak coming from the bathroom, and the bathroom door could not be opened from the inside, trapping whoever used it.
Housekeeping was careless and invasive. We even had personal items go missing from our room and no one took responsibility.
The food in the restaurant was undercooked, bland, and served after long waiting times. Service throughout the hotel was nonexistent, if not downright hostile.
The hotel manager clearly only cares about money. Guest experience, safety, respect, and basic decency are not part of the business model here.
This was not a five-star experience. This was a scam, plain and simple. I wouldn’t recommend Savoy Le Grand Hotel to anyone. If you value your dignity, your money, and your peace of mind—stay far away from this place.

Large hotel a bit off from the center and tourist attractions. However connected to a shopping mall and the stylish Hivernage night life area within walking distance.
The hotel has a very generous lobby and pool area. Rooms are clean and of a good standard. Breakfast is very good.
What I missed was a bit more friendliness, heart and soul. Staff was slow and mostly only doing the minimum. But may be this was only my personal perception as nobody else from my group was mentioning this.

First the positives - hotel was in a good location and a short trip from the airport. Hotel lobby is nice and impressive and the pool area was well done. Popped in the indoor kids pool a few times with my son which was a great temperature and just the right depth for a toddler. We stayed in a suite which was a great size and the spare bed was also very comfortable.
Now the negatives hotel rooms are quite dated and could do with refurbishment, I also found the room to be quite dark and whilst there are lights dotted around the room not all of them worked and there is no central lighting control. The curtain in the bedroom was partially hanging off the rails when I first arrived, I had maintenance try to fix it but it just fell off again after 1 day. When the balcony door is open the room door slams due to the breeze and paint falls off the walls all around the suite. The shower head failed after 1 day and needed replacement. The room had 2 sinks but only 1 of them had hot water. The bathtub has a jacuzzi function but when I turned it on small bit's came out of the jets so it's not been cleaned. There was no air conditioning, apparently the forced air system can only output heat at this time of year (late March) which meant we were sweating all night long. I asked the staff in the main restaurant for a small pot of milk but their only response was go call room service even though they could have helped then and there.
