Stayed for 5 nights. Overall is not bad, but still not a 5 star hotel.
Let’s start with a room. It is quite big but needs renovation, I liked the style but some furniture is too old.
The food was very disappointed, the cheapest it can be, bad variety and quality. Buffet restaurant is a 3 star and the snack bar is even worse. The same every day, all junk food. Plates where always dirty and some of the cocktails in the lobby where made in a plastic glasses.
The worse things is they charged us for €65 and we wasn’t told. When we checked out everything was paid, now after a couple of hours I went back home and found that they took €65 without a reason.
Very disappointing.

P.S. the kids zone was very nice because of the staff, they deserve all 5 stars.

We had an enjoyable stay in a pretty area with scenic coastal walks and a nearby lively authentic village. The hotel is thoughtfully designed to blend with the surrounding nature and offers plenty of space. However, the layout is windy and requires A LOT of walking!
While the hotel is pleasant, it does feel tired in places, the towels also feel worn. Some refurbishment would breathe life into this beautiful location.
We opted for the “royal Level” upgrade and enjoyed the service, snacks and seating at the exclusive pool . Other small perks, included cava on arrival, and mini bar.
The main buffet offered fresher and in my opinion , better options than the Royal restaurant - The selection there was limited but the setting of the restaurant was pretty.
Good beds and great pillows .
The staff were friendly and warm, and while we wouldn’t return ourselves, we would recommend the hotel for its location and overall experience.

Our stay at Barceló Tenerife Resort back in September was nothing short of perfection! From the moment we arrived, we felt like we had stepped into paradise. The resort is immaculate, with breathtaking views and beautifully maintained grounds. The cleanliness is impeccable, exactly what you'd expect from a 5-star establishment.
The service is top-notch, with the staff going above and beyond to ensure every guest feels welcome. They were incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready to answer any questions or assist us in any way. The resort also has a fantastic app that made navigating our stay so easy—you can find everything you need, from restaurant hours to activity schedules, right at your fingertips.
We dined primarily at the Drago buffet because we opted for all inclusive and while the food could be a bit repetitive, it was always delicious and fresh. The variety was good, and we found plenty of options to keep us satisfied throughout our stay.
We specifically chose Tenerife for our holiday because of this resort, and it exceeded all of our expectations. Whether you're lounging by the pool, enjoying the excellent food, or exploring the island, Barceló Tenerife offers a slice of paradise you'll never want to leave. Highly recommend!

If your expectation is of a 5 star hotel, this isn’t for you. This is a great 3 max 4 star hotel. If you are okay with that, then come. Food far below average (buffet is arguably the worst I’ve had anywhere) rooms are outdated and there is limescale in showers, I could hear a man snore in the room next to me. The only positive is the staff. Incredible people. Thankfully I was only here for a day, but I wouldn’t stay for longer for anything. I thought this would be helpful for someone who is deciding on whether or not to come here.

I've stayed before in a similar type 5 stars hotels before, so here is my summary from my stay.
Pros:
-Animation team does a smashing job keeping everyone happy and busy. They seemed like a lovely people always caring about the guests.
-Lots of small activities througout hotel. There was some cocktail making classes, tours, kayaking etc.
We went to a nature reserve, which was 8 euro per person and it was a really lovely hike, more than we expected.
-Beautiful grounds, nice pools, food was lovely. We have upgrade to all inclusive in the mid of our stay and I must say lunch probably was the best part, so it was all worth it.
-Evening entertainment. In other 5 star hotels it was hit or miss, but this has brought some really fun and quality acts. Also in reception area there was some amazing singers, so big thumbs up for this one.
-Very lovely walk just right outside hotel. You can reach 2 cities with an amazing food options, there are natural pools maybe 30-40min walk from hotel and a harbour where you can swim with the locals.
Cons
-As for the 5 star hotel I was disappointment about the dirty plates and mugs in the buffet throughout our stay. I'm sure this can be solved easily, but also when you pay a lot for the 5 star hotel experience, it should be bare minimum to keep the hotel tidy.
-Booking system for your breakfast or dinner. When we arrived after a long trip first thing we needed to do is to dowload the app, find how to book a dinner and not forget to do that daily. It's not a big deal, but it took some time to get that working and we just wanted to start relaxing right away.
Also in the first mornings nobody was checking and people just went through to pick their tables, one morning there was some people standing and we passed them and got told off to go back and wait to be seated. Then they literally just said go sit whenever you wanted, so I get it can get busy, but the whole system a bit too much.
-Cocktails and coffee a bit hit or miss, but in general it was alright.
-It's a big hotel. It offers a lot, but at the same time if you want find anything or go to your room to leave a towel it will take a lot of time. First day we spend a good hour searching where to get our towels from as all the staff were sending us to different directions as most of them wasn't sure themselves either.
-No direct beach for swimming.
Overall it's a great hotel, fun activities good food and lots of sun!
