Our stay at Barceló Tenerife Resort back in September was nothing short of perfection! From the moment we arrived, we felt like we had stepped into paradise. The resort is immaculate, with breathtaking views and beautifully maintained grounds. The cleanliness is impeccable, exactly what you'd expect from a 5-star establishment.
The service is top-notch, with the staff going above and beyond to ensure every guest feels welcome. They were incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready to answer any questions or assist us in any way. The resort also has a fantastic app that made navigating our stay so easy—you can find everything you need, from restaurant hours to activity schedules, right at your fingertips.
We dined primarily at the Drago buffet because we opted for all inclusive and while the food could be a bit repetitive, it was always delicious and fresh. The variety was good, and we found plenty of options to keep us satisfied throughout our stay.
We specifically chose Tenerife for our holiday because of this resort, and it exceeded all of our expectations. Whether you're lounging by the pool, enjoying the excellent food, or exploring the island, Barceló Tenerife offers a slice of paradise you'll never want to leave. Highly recommend!

This Hotel has a great rugged coastline location and is a peaceful and relaxing place to stay. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The Breakfast Buffet is outstanding (we chose the B&B option so can't comment on AI) - I have never seen so many breakfast options and they are constantly replenished. Pools are cleaned daily and the Infinity pool looks out to the sea.
The only reason for not giving 5* was we felt the room we stayed in was a little tired for a 5* Hotel standard, and may be due refurbishment. That said, it was cleaned and always refreshed each day for us. Thank you

Our stay at Barceló Tenerife was underwhelming due to several avoidable issues. Upon arrival, we didn’t receive our room until almost 7 PM (check in is from 3pm) The excuse was that we didn’t answer a call we never received, despite leaving multiple phone numbers that were functioning properly.
As vegans, we were disappointed by the lack of preparation for dietary needs despite notifying the hotel beforehand. The buffet’s vegan options were poorly labeled and often nonexistent. The so-called “vegan corner” included dishes with eggs or milk, and basic vegan alternatives were available only upon request, often met with resistance from staff. Desserts were limited to fruit, with unclear allergen labels adding to the confusion. Breakfast had better options, including plant-based milks and yogurts, but lunch and dinner were lackluster.
Facilities were also below expectations. The heated pool was barely warm, and most pools were too cold to use. Entertainment was poorly organized, with no updates on changes or cancellations due to weather. The tunnel and museum were inexplicably closed, and activities like Segway demos were misleadingly advertised. The bingo prizes felt redundant for all-inclusive guests (drink voucher or bottle of alcohol) and there was little to do in the area or within the hotel.
The all-inclusive experience was disappointing and it makes no sense when you are limited as long as you are “all inclusive plus” or “all inclusive royal level” and pay more. Some areas and restaurants are only for all inclusive royal level, which makes all inclusive redundant. Many items and services required extra payment, and food options outside the buffet were extremely limited. Additionally, the snack bar was often locked, with poor vegan choices when available. Toilets near the plaza bar were dirty and not maintained throughout the day, and basic amenities like the mini bar fridge in our room didn’t function properly.
I went to the spa for a massage (paid) and felt it was more a scam than anything else. I just got a pretend massage where someone would pet or gently pat my back until the time was over, no massage was actually done.
On a positive note, the kayaking experience was excellent, with friendly and attentive staff. The room itself was spacious with a lovely balcony, and the nightly shows, along with workshops like sangria making, were enjoyable. Staff at the Plaza Bar stood out for their friendliness and professionalism.
Overall, the hotel has potential but fails to deliver on many fronts, particularly in customer service, dietary accommodations, and entertainment. We left feeling more frustrated than relaxed.

We had a wonderful time at the hotel. We booked the all in for five persons, of which two little children. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the rooms are clean, large and very modern. The buffet was very tasteful and offered options for all.
We also booked a massage in the Spa, which is highly recommended! Thank you to Bertha for her magical hands
