Location-wise this hotel is perfect but the staff makes this more than a perfect hotel. From the extremely friendly helpful ladies at the reception to the nice girls at the bar to the impeccable cleaning of the rooms. That's the main reason why I keep visiting this hotel. For me price/quality worthy!

Good Service

It’s the peak of the season, and we came here hoping for relaxation away from the city noise. However, the hotel is undergoing a massive renovation. There are no available parking spaces because the hotel is essentially a construction site. Construction machinery is constantly moving around, transporting building materials. From morning until evening, there’s noise from drilling, hammering, and other construction sounds. It’s baffling that the manager would choose to carry out such a major renovation during the peak season. On top of that, there’s nowhere to park our cars in the hotel, and the parking area is tiny. We do not recommend it.

Not recommended for surfers. the staff cannot make decisions and management is never reachable. They don't want any equipment in the hotel room and you have to pay 10 euros per day for storage. For a vacation of 10 days, you get 200 euros on top for a rostogen locker for 2 people. extremely unfair and unfriendly as a surf hotel

+ Located in a charming village + Perfect location for watersports + Nicely refurbished building and rooms + Pro watersport center in the hotel + Wind-protected pool area - 25 minutes waiting for the check-in as there is always only 1 receptionist who also responds to client calls - I asked the receptionist one morning to book a table in the restaurant for the same evening. She told me I should do that after the restaurant opens....instead of taking note of my name and guest numbers to manage the booking for me. Not very professional - Extra charge for the safe - No black tee in the breakfast area, even after we asked for it. - No separate water heater for tea-drinkers, and... - ....only 2 coffee machines that also generate hot water, of which one did not work for 3 days, 10 minutes queing for an espresso is very- very distrubing.... - The water in the pool is not heated, a PV-heating system would make a lot of sense and elevate a lot on the quality of the pool entertainment

Practically, the water in the bathroom is always cold, once we waited 15 minutes with the water turned on and it finally became slightly warm. But this is a complete waste of water, so we usually chose to wash and bathe in cold water. We had two rooms on the first floor, maybe it was different on another floor. There were cockroaches, but apparently that's normal on this island. This is not a place to relax, the proximity of the airport and the omnipresent sand and dust in the air make it difficult to breathe and everything is always dirty.

Friendly, relaxed, and clean hotel that is situated in a fantastic location on the edge of Golf de Sur resort. This is the second time I have been and recommend it for those wanting a quiet (winter sun) getaway. The staff are excellent and always happy to help. Rooms are a bit dated (mainly the bathroom), but this doesn't detract from the whole experience. The beds are very comfortable. The hotel has won sustainability awards, which is important to me as I want to support businesses that are making this effort.

Me & my husband had a lovely 3 night stay here, staff were so friendly especially front desk, shops and restaurants across the road and the pool/sun lounge area was perfect. We only had breakfast at the hotel but it was lovely, lots on offer and never seemed too busy so no waiting for any special orders that where cooked fresh in front of you. I was a little disappointed as I had paid for an upgraded room but don’t feel I got that, although the room was still very big & nice so didn’t bother saying anything to reception. I wouldn’t say it’s a hotel I’d take my children too but for a couple who just want to escape from everyday crazy life it was perfect 😍 thank you

Lovely hotel with helpful, friendly staff. Gorgeous views from room, fantastic breakfast. Only comment would be that they class a twin room as a double so be sure to email ahead if you don't want single beds.

Really nice hotel, absolutely loved waking up to the sea view, the sound of the waves and some incredible sunsets / sunrises. Staff were friendly, nice pools. Breakfast was ok, not the best I've had and only luke warm but still OK. Lovely area overall and would definitely stay again.

Gorgeous rooms, fabulous staff and service, food was mainly incredible but my partner did end up with food poisoning on the last evening. He was lucky as he was only throwing up for 9 hours rather than the two days it could have been. Location is absolutely gorgeous but there is no sandy beach nearby, which I guess isn’t the hotel’s fault!

Lovely hotel with good rooms and pool. Beds made every day and if you leave towels on floor in hallway they will change them which was a good service. Breakfast is very good with a wide selection you could want. Poolside snacks daily. Evening meal had a variety of food which we found as we had a party of 10 there was something that everyone could find to eat. There is a few shops, bars and restaurants in walking distance but not loads in this area. Great holiday with entertainment every night.

Lovely hotel - spotlessly clean. Big bedroom - cleaned every day and fresh towels. The hotel is massive. Food excellent- there is always something you will like. The token situation to get drinks is odd but you soon get use to it. Pools are fantastic. Special mention to Andrea at the Areca pool who always had a smile on the face. The only negative I would give this hotel was the evening entertainment, flamenco, etc - it just wasn’t very good. Overall a lovely holiday - lots of sun beds - no need to reserve !

Rooms are excellent as is room cleanliness. Buffet restaurants are not. There is little or no supervision of diners. Food can be lukewarm or indeed cold. Inclusive drinks are all cheap non branded, public area around the pool are extremely slippery when wet and I witnessed a few falls. Of course I could have upgraded to all inclusive plus for €30 per person per head, look it is either all inclusive or it is not.

The hotel is large and modern, communal areas are very well maintained. The room was very spacious and freshly decorated. There are various activities at the hotel with friendly entertainment staff, they are on most days. We enjoyed volleyball and a jewellery market. The pool was very clean. Good location, close to the airport and away from busy very touristy places. Lots of parking spaces nearby. There were a few annoying things like having to pay cash for towels/ cups for all inclusive. The cash machines charge you a fee of €5. You had to carry cups around with you or you lost your deposit. The floor in the room was cleaned with a strong chemical and left a sticky layer. The shower was annoying as it was dripping and the door wasn’t shutting well so had to be slammed. Small things but can get irritating.

A lovely holiday at this hotel. The rooms were spacious and well equipped and it was good not to pay extra for the safe. There was a wide choice of food at all meal times but I did find the speciality Italian meal a little disappointing. Great pools and we never had a problem getting a sun bed whatever time of day I found the location to be good as there was a variety of walks from there but some may feel there's not much around if wanting night life. The free shuttle bus was very handy.

This Hotel has a great rugged coastline location and is a peaceful and relaxing place to stay. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The Breakfast Buffet is outstanding (we chose the B&B option so can't comment on AI) - I have never seen so many breakfast options and they are constantly replenished. Pools are cleaned daily and the Infinity pool looks out to the sea. The only reason for not giving 5* was we felt the room we stayed in was a little tired for a 5* Hotel standard, and may be due refurbishment. That said, it was cleaned and always refreshed each day for us. Thank you

We had a wonderful time at the hotel. We booked the all in for five persons, of which two little children. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the rooms are clean, large and very modern. The buffet was very tasteful and offered options for all. We also booked a massage in the Spa, which is highly recommended! Thank you to Bertha for her magical hands

Enjoyed our stay here, comfortable and clean rooms, large with sofa and balcony. Room was made up every day, food in the buffet lounge was good, multiple bars and entertainment. Lots of swimming pools. free bookable activities from pool exercise to wine tasting. Staff very friendly. The only thing I would change is the shower valve to something Thermostatic instead of a mixer. Enjoyed our stay. (Early october).

Booked in the royal level half board but on arrival upgraded to all inclusive as the benefits and costs worth it, don't book all inclusive through operator as better price in the hotel. The extra amenities and benefits of the royal level make the holiday a 5 star experience. From the moment we arrived the staff have been extremely friendly and helpful and the bar staff around the pool make you visit comfortable and relaxing and the cocktails are out this world(thanks Daniel). Only niggle is the room walls are too thin and could hear someone in the room next door snoring and when people walked down the corridor could hear them talking, minor but did not spoil the vacation.

If you want a lovely relaxed chilled hotel, this is the place for you. Only downside is the food and entertainment could be better. Staff amazing. Rooms lovely. Hotel fantastic. Spoke to a few guests who had been here up to 10 times in the past so it certainly has great appeal. Better entertainment and food would make this place 5* guaranteed

Awesome crew / staff. Everyone is super friendly. Especially Victoria with her positive attitude is trying everything to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Lovely to sit at the waterfront for breakfast and dinner. What I found strange is that there is not even one free soft drink / water with the dinner, if you are not all inclusive. If you booked a sea view room, make sure to stay at a show or bar late, because otherwise you will anyway hear everything of the parties going on in the Plaza area. The animation team of active is also incredible. Can only recommend to attend the one or other workshop.

The hotel's location was perfect, with stunning views of the ocean and easy access to the beach. The staff were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to make my stay enjoyable. The food was delicious and varied, and I especially loved the themed dinners. I would highly recommend the Barceló Tenerife to anyone looking for a relaxing and luxurious vacation

Great hotel, with good food and very good drinks. Royal level benefits are awesome, like breakfast and dinner with sea view. Staff was also very friendly. Pool selection is nice. However, bathroom sinks and water taps could use an overhaul. Also, the neighbouring town is very loud and annoying. Will probably visit again in the future.

Lovely resort with the royal level adding luxury food and drink options in a quiet and tranquil setting separate from the rest of the resort. Excellent range of food options and traditional buffet and 24x7 snacks.

We stayed 14 nights in a Royal Level Deluxe Room (which is the standard double bed room). Overall the experience was exceptional. Especially the staff members is what made the experience so nice. This was not our first stay with Barceló and we mostly always figured that the staff members is what give the experience the last 10 percent of perfection. In two weeks we never really had to wait more that 1-2 minutes until a waiter took our order, may it be in the restaurant or at the pools. Everyone we interacted was highly professional and attentive to detail (like if your drinks were empty you were promptly offered a refill). Especially we want to highlight the two ladies which served us at the Royal Level Restaurant several times (one of which was Carmen) and Jose Ramon from the Breeze Bar Restaurant all of which even stood out from the already very high service level. Also the entire resort area was very well laid out and beautiful. The royal level area was very well sized for the amount of people at time of our visit. Apart from one day we hadn’t any problems finding a space and there was plenty left. Even though we didn’t stay there we also had the opinion that the “Non Royal Level” Area had enough space for everybody, especially due to the fact that it stretches over several pools allowing for people to spread. Lastly we always find it nice that you enjoy a true all Inclusive with everything included you can wish for, may it be Buffet- and A-la-Carte Restaurants, alcoholic beverages, Softdrinks, made to order lunch from the bar etc. The only room for improvement was the cleaning of the bubble spray jets of the bathtub (which we could resolve by just switching it on once before using). However that didn’t really bothered us too much. All in all a very nice, relaxing and enjoyable stay. We will surely return to this and other Barceló ventures soon.
