This is one of my favourite hotels. We come and stay for a few days each year enjoying the hotel but also the atmosphere of El Medano. The hotel's restaurant/ cafe along the Boardwalk is a great place to eat.

Location-wise this hotel is perfect but the staff makes this more than a perfect hotel. From the extremely friendly helpful ladies at the reception to the nice girls at the bar to the impeccable cleaning of the rooms. That's the main reason why I keep visiting this hotel. For me price/quality worthy!

Not recommended for surfers. the staff cannot make decisions and management is never reachable. They don't want any equipment in the hotel room and you have to pay 10 euros per day for storage. For a vacation of 10 days, you get 200 euros on top for a rostogen locker for 2 people. extremely unfair and unfriendly as a surf hotel

Good Service

It’s the peak of the season, and we came here hoping for relaxation away from the city noise. However, the hotel is undergoing a massive renovation. There are no available parking spaces because the hotel is essentially a construction site. Construction machinery is constantly moving around, transporting building materials. From morning until evening, there’s noise from drilling, hammering, and other construction sounds. It’s baffling that the manager would choose to carry out such a major renovation during the peak season. On top of that, there’s nowhere to park our cars in the hotel, and the parking area is tiny. We do not recommend it.

Honest review, I liked it here, thought the hotel was great needs a little updating here and there, but what hotel doesn't. The location is great especially for golfers (I'm not) just wanted a few days of sun and peace which we got from here. Close to airport, bus transfer really quick and easy. Straight to the door. Breakfast had everything u could wish for, really nice. We used the spa which was really good too and a fair price.

Hotel Tenerife Golf & Sea View – A Fantastic Stay! Before booking, I read some great reviews, along with a few slightly negative ones. Am I glad I listened to the positive ones? Absolutely! Just a ten-minute taxi ride from the airport, you’ll find yourself in a self-contained little village where you could easily stay, eat, drink, and relax until it’s time to leave. Located at the bottom of San Miguel de Abona, the hotel is less than two minutes away from a well-stocked supermarket with fresh produce, local tourist shops, a pharmacy, and fantastic bars and restaurants catering to all tastes. The hotel itself is well-kept, with professional staff who are friendly, smiling, and polite. Airlines even house their staff here, which says a lot! As we visited at the start of the season, I can’t comment on how busy the sun loungers get, but we always found a place to relax and soak up the sun. They provide towels and lounger mats, making it easy for sun-seekers to enjoy their day. There are two pools—one for toddlers—but unfortunately, it wasn’t heated during our stay, so we couldn’t take our baby in. However, I enjoyed a refreshing dip throughout our visit. The views are breathtaking, and the recently built walkways make exploring nearby villages easy and enjoyable—perfect for someone like me who loves to get out and about. Our room was a superior double with a sea view—absolutely stunning! It was clean, well-presented, and comfortable. The TV, kettle, and a fridge that actually keeps things cold were great for storing snacks while settling our baby for a nap. Now, the bar and restaurant—wow! Honestly, one of the best I’ve experienced in any hotel worldwide for a B&B package. The breakfast, lunch, and bar snack options were varied and delicious. You can sit inside or outside to start your day, and once again, the staff were incredibly accommodating. Would I recommend staying here? Yes! Would I come back? Without a doubt! A huge thank you to the hotel for accepting our request for a cot—it made our stay even smoother. For that, and everything else, 10/10! (I did sadly hear maybe a adult only hotel soon so if so cant go back)

Friendly, relaxed, and clean hotel that is situated in a fantastic location on the edge of Golf de Sur resort. This is the second time I have been and recommend it for those wanting a quiet (winter sun) getaway. The staff are excellent and always happy to help. Rooms are a bit dated (mainly the bathroom), but this doesn't detract from the whole experience. The beds are very comfortable. The hotel has won sustainability awards, which is important to me as I want to support businesses that are making this effort.

Me & my husband had a lovely 3 night stay here, staff were so friendly especially front desk, shops and restaurants across the road and the pool/sun lounge area was perfect. We only had breakfast at the hotel but it was lovely, lots on offer and never seemed too busy so no waiting for any special orders that where cooked fresh in front of you. I was a little disappointed as I had paid for an upgraded room but don’t feel I got that, although the room was still very big & nice so didn’t bother saying anything to reception. I wouldn’t say it’s a hotel I’d take my children too but for a couple who just want to escape from everyday crazy life it was perfect 😍 thank you

We have just returned from a weeks stay at this hotel, the plus is the proximity to the airport 15 minutes when we arrived we thought this is definitely not a 4 star hotel the whole hotel is in need of upgrading. The staff are friendly and helpful food was fine although If you want omelettes for breakfast there is never anyone at the fryer to cook them and if you are prepared to wait twice I had to walk into the kitchen to ask for someone to come to the fryer. The views are fabulous from the front of the hotel. The most disappointing thing for us was he arrived home and the following day I realised I had left my white gold locket in the safe as I has taken it out of the jewellery pouch as the chain was tanging with my other jewellery I had placed it on the left hand corner of the safe and realised I had not put it back in my pouch hoping it was still there I called the hotel from the UK and they said they would call me back in 10 minutes once they had checked with house keeping I never received a call back I received an email saying housekeeping said there was no locket found, I know for a fact it was left there it was very precious as it had a photo of my sister and my son who had both passed my husband had bought me it and it was £1,500 so I can definitely say it was stolen. I emailed the hotel back and never received any answer this was extremely rude as they just shrugged it off. So it will be an expensive lesson for myself but staff obviously not to be trusted to think we left the maids a tip as well.

Exceptionally clean room. The rooms had everything I needed. I didn't notice the fridge until I left though. The easy to pull out drying rails on the balcony were a nice thought too. The rooms were cleaned to a very high standard every day and tea & coffee topped up. The nice touch of two free bottles of water were appreciated. There was also cold water available from dispensers around the hotel. All the staff I came across were so friendly & efficient. I was all-inclusive and the food was amazing with a very wide choice with daily changes to the menus. I saw a lot of negative reviews about food not being hot enough, which is just not true. And anyway, I saw at least one easily accessible microwave to heat to required liking if necessary. The facilities were superb. I used the indoor pool every day. There was always available sun beds and outside pools were lovely. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel and hope to come back again one day.

EXTRA.While the resort is advertised as all-inclusive, we were disappointed to find that we couldn’t take full advantage of the specialty restaurants during our 5-night stay due to restrictive terms. This is something to be aware of when booking, as it detracted from the overall experience. The restrictions left us feeling like we weren’t getting the full value of what was promised. We are at the Alua Atlántico Golf Resort and were very pleased with our experience. Upon arrival, we were checked into a room with a spiral staircase, which, as an older couple, we found unsuitable. However, when we requested a change, the staff was incredibly accommodating. They promptly arranged for a new room that suited our needs perfectly. The service was exceptional—truly reflective of Hyatt's high standards. The staff were friendly and professional ensuring we were comfortable. The resort itself is lovely, with excellent amenities.

We loved staying at this hotel! It is big hotel with multiple restaurants, bars and pools. Very clean. They have a token system with the drinks so all glasses are returned to the bar.. it works brilliantly. Entertainment was great, our daughter enjoyed kids club and the kid’s evening disco. Food was very good, lots of choice and allergens clearly labelled. Rooms clean and spacious. You can book on the free shuttle bus if you want to visit Los Christianos or Americas which we did once, but otherwise we were happy to explore the local area. We are already looking at rebooking for next year. Highly recommend!

Lovely hotel - spotlessly clean. Big bedroom - cleaned every day and fresh towels. The hotel is massive. Food excellent- there is always something you will like. The token situation to get drinks is odd but you soon get use to it. Pools are fantastic. Special mention to Andrea at the Areca pool who always had a smile on the face. The only negative I would give this hotel was the evening entertainment, flamenco, etc - it just wasn’t very good. Overall a lovely holiday - lots of sun beds - no need to reserve !

Stayed at this beautiful hotel in November, everything was perfect, rooms are very spacious and absolutely spotless! Plenty of sunbeds to choose from and nice size pool. All inclusive was busy but never had to queue, lovely food, couldn’t complain about any of the meals. Staff were lovely, especially the housekeeping staff. Absolutely perfect for us! 10/10

If your expectation is of a 5 star hotel, this isn’t for you. This is a great 3 max 4 star hotel. If you are okay with that, then come. Food far below average (buffet is arguably the worst I’ve had anywhere) rooms are outdated and there is limescale in showers, I could hear a man snore in the room next to me. The only positive is the staff. Incredible people. Thankfully I was only here for a day, but I wouldn’t stay for longer for anything. I thought this would be helpful for someone who is deciding on whether or not to come here.

We had an enjoyable stay in a pretty area with scenic coastal walks and a nearby lively authentic village. The hotel is thoughtfully designed to blend with the surrounding nature and offers plenty of space. However, the layout is windy and requires A LOT of walking! While the hotel is pleasant, it does feel tired in places, the towels also feel worn. Some refurbishment would breathe life into this beautiful location. We opted for the “royal Level” upgrade and enjoyed the service, snacks and seating at the exclusive pool . Other small perks, included cava on arrival, and mini bar. The main buffet offered fresher and in my opinion , better options than the Royal restaurant - The selection there was limited but the setting of the restaurant was pretty. Good beds and great pillows . The staff were friendly and warm, and while we wouldn’t return ourselves, we would recommend the hotel for its location and overall experience.

Our stay at Barceló Tenerife Resort back in September was nothing short of perfection! From the moment we arrived, we felt like we had stepped into paradise. The resort is immaculate, with breathtaking views and beautifully maintained grounds. The cleanliness is impeccable, exactly what you'd expect from a 5-star establishment. The service is top-notch, with the staff going above and beyond to ensure every guest feels welcome. They were incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready to answer any questions or assist us in any way. The resort also has a fantastic app that made navigating our stay so easy—you can find everything you need, from restaurant hours to activity schedules, right at your fingertips. We dined primarily at the Drago buffet because we opted for all inclusive and while the food could be a bit repetitive, it was always delicious and fresh. The variety was good, and we found plenty of options to keep us satisfied throughout our stay. We specifically chose Tenerife for our holiday because of this resort, and it exceeded all of our expectations. Whether you're lounging by the pool, enjoying the excellent food, or exploring the island, Barceló Tenerife offers a slice of paradise you'll never want to leave. Highly recommend!

Awesome crew / staff. Everyone is super friendly. Especially Victoria with her positive attitude is trying everything to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Lovely to sit at the waterfront for breakfast and dinner. What I found strange is that there is not even one free soft drink / water with the dinner, if you are not all inclusive. If you booked a sea view room, make sure to stay at a show or bar late, because otherwise you will anyway hear everything of the parties going on in the Plaza area. The animation team of active is also incredible. Can only recommend to attend the one or other workshop.

The hotel's location was perfect, with stunning views of the ocean and easy access to the beach. The staff were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to make my stay enjoyable. The food was delicious and varied, and I especially loved the themed dinners. I would highly recommend the Barceló Tenerife to anyone looking for a relaxing and luxurious vacation

Great hotel, with good food and very good drinks. Royal level benefits are awesome, like breakfast and dinner with sea view. Staff was also very friendly. Pool selection is nice. However, bathroom sinks and water taps could use an overhaul. Also, the neighbouring town is very loud and annoying. Will probably visit again in the future.

Having a wonderful stay at Royal Hideaway, excellent breakfast, and food all around has been great, a nice Italian restaurant, and another buffet one on the other side of hotel, staff are all super friendly and helpful and a special mention to Justina, always friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend as a whole.

We stayed 14 nights in a Royal Level Deluxe Room (which is the standard double bed room). Overall the experience was exceptional. Especially the staff members is what made the experience so nice. This was not our first stay with Barceló and we mostly always figured that the staff members is what give the experience the last 10 percent of perfection. In two weeks we never really had to wait more that 1-2 minutes until a waiter took our order, may it be in the restaurant or at the pools. Everyone we interacted was highly professional and attentive to detail (like if your drinks were empty you were promptly offered a refill). Especially we want to highlight the two ladies which served us at the Royal Level Restaurant several times (one of which was Carmen) and Jose Ramon from the Breeze Bar Restaurant all of which even stood out from the already very high service level. Also the entire resort area was very well laid out and beautiful. The royal level area was very well sized for the amount of people at time of our visit. Apart from one day we hadn’t any problems finding a space and there was plenty left. Even though we didn’t stay there we also had the opinion that the “Non Royal Level” Area had enough space for everybody, especially due to the fact that it stretches over several pools allowing for people to spread. Lastly we always find it nice that you enjoy a true all Inclusive with everything included you can wish for, may it be Buffet- and A-la-Carte Restaurants, alcoholic beverages, Softdrinks, made to order lunch from the bar etc. The only room for improvement was the cleaning of the bubble spray jets of the bathtub (which we could resolve by just switching it on once before using). However that didn’t really bothered us too much. All in all a very nice, relaxing and enjoyable stay. We will surely return to this and other Barceló ventures soon.
