Stunning views of the ocean. A big advantage of this hotel is its proximity to the beach, 5 minutes and you can enjoy all the natural beauty of this amazing place.
The staff is very polite and always ready to help.
The rooms are spacious, with high-quality cleaning every day. We booked a suite with an ocean view and were very pleased.
The breakfast is varied, everything is delicious and made of high-quality products. Coffee machines are great too, which is a rarity even in 4-star hotels. At dinner, a buffet offers a large variety of food, absolutely for all tastes, preferences and this is great.
I would like to separately note the people who work there and create an atmosphere of a wonderful stay.

Paulo and his team put on the most spectacular breakfast. We have loved our stay. Location is central to beautiful beaches, and middle point in between tourist attractions. This place is a must stay. We will be back ❤️

Really enjoyed our holiday here. Fab hotel - the pool was great (cold but great!) and the sun loungers being on the grass all to one side gave a feeling of spaciousness. The room was very good too - we weren't expecting a separate sitting room and bedroom, so we had loads of space. The poolside bar served yummy food, the breakfast buffet had lots of choice and the evening bar was also good. The hotel is also very well located to access several beaches and several restaurants. Overall thumbs up and I'd happily come again.

The hotel was nice enough. However, I had booked bed and breakfast therefore would need a room with facilities to make our own food. The room me and two teenage children was given was tiny. Yes there was a very small kitchenette with fridge and microwave but no cutlery or plates. There was a small table with only 2 chairs but because a 3rd bed had been shoved in the table was rammed against the patio doors making it unusable.
We booked this particular hotel on the premise of the indoor pool been heated. I knew I had taken a risk with the time of year and possibility that the weather wouldn't be great. As expected it rained for a few of the days, so we decided to take advantage of the indoor heated pool. Unfortunately it was freezing, when I asked I was told it was on but they are green hotel so it's not red hot. We suffered the cold pool for 2 days on the 3rd day it seems the heat had been turned up and was much more bearable.
The location is remote, there's no strip with trash shops. The bars and restaurants are spread apart.

We were delighted to have stayed at Pestana Viking for 17 nights enjoying time with our family and friends for our wedding.
The staff were amazing and looked after us and our wedding party. Paulo and his team were polite, friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay snd wedding day the best!
The location of the hotel is absolutely stunning and we couldn't have dreamt of a better place to get married.
The rooms are lovely and clean, with some lovely views. We felt they were just missing some tea and coffee for when you arrive.
Overall, we had such a wonderful time and we were sad to leave but we are definitely going to return for our anniversary.
