We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights, at the end of March, it was very quiet due to the time of the year meaning we had a lot of space to ourselves! However I think even in the busier seasons this place would feel spacious.
We were very happy with our room, the view was beautiful from the 12th floor. Very spacious, our beds separated (which we requested prior to the stay). There was plenty of space for our luggage and a safe and mini fridge too. The mini fridge was stocked with 2 cartons of juice and a large bottle of water each day.
During our stay, the room was cleaned wonderfully, we were very happy with the housekeeping service.
To get to the 12th floor, we used the lifts, they were very straight forward with no waiting or stopping between floors, you tap the card and it takes you to your level.
We were very pleased with the range of food at the buffets, there was a lot to choose from, including things we had never tried before!
As someone who doesn’t eat a lot of meat when travelling I have to say the vegetarian selection was amazing each night there was something different one night I had a chickpea curry and another type of dish made with courgette and aubergine, they were both lovely. Other days there were vegetable lasagna and vegetable pie, overall none of them lacked flavour, they were great!!
If you stay at least four nights they provide you with one night in one of their restaurants and we chose the surf and turf restaurant, Fuego. The service was wonderful. It was just like a normal dining experience included in the price of our stay. We were very happy to have a sit down dining experience and the food was good too.
Cocktails and drinks are included and unlimited all day, we certainly took advantage of this at the Coral bar by the pool. This was perfect to sit in the sun outs the way of the March wind.
Behind the main pool is a pathway to access the beach. The beach is beautiful. I have left some photos for you to see and if you take a right and feel like exploring amongst the cliffs you will find a beautiful hiking path.
This hotel is about an hour drive from Faro Airport which only costed us between £30-£40 to take a Bolt each trip so it was definitely worth the journey to be out in the beautiful countryside away from busy roads and attractions.
Overall, we had a very welcoming and fun stay and I would definitely stay here again. The only thing that brought down or attitude for this hotel was that neither of the pools were heated and were very cold so we didn’t end up using them. Understandably, they will be warm enough in the summer, however, they’re not usable in the spring time!
I definitely recommend this hotel! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The Hotel is well situated in a quiet area and next to the beach. Has direct access to the sand. The food is delicious and in large quantities. The hotel has several swimming pools and quiet one for adults only with a fantastic view. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Hotel director Carlos Marim is tireless and very accessible. I was organizing an event with around 300 people and everything went very well.

Pestana Blue is a modern, stylish hotel perfect for both couples and groups. During my November stay with a large group, we enjoyed spacious rooms, great pool areas, and good food. While the staff was friendly, service could be slow at times, especially when the hotel was busy. Overall, it was a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
