We have been coming to Pestana South Beach for at least 6 years, perfect for both golf and recharging the batteries. The hotel location is perfect to stroll into Alvor in the evenings, but what sets the hotel apart is the staff - exceptionally professional - nothing you request is too much for them. So good we have already booked for next October….Love the overall vibe, even jumping into the pools is an invigorating experience 😉 Keep up the great work.

This is a beautiful beachfront property just outside the town of Alvor. There's a nice, well-maintained boardwalk you can walk for miles on, as well as into town. You can also take trails off the boardwalk to walk through the lagoon area - especially interesting if you're a bird watcher.
There's a lovely lounge area to sit and read or enjoy a drink and lounge chairs and umbrellas by three pools. The beach is only a five minute walk. There are various water sports available, as well as lounge chairs for rent, and a massage tent on the beach. We had a delicious dinner at the Sea Deck our first night there. The outside tables at the restaurant are lovely, however the inside is a little stark, and cafeteria like for dinner.
When I mentioned we were coming to celebrate our 34th wedding anniversary the staff really went the extra mile. Not only did they upgrade our room, we had champagne and macaroons waiting in our room with a sweet note, and they did a special, lovely job of decorating our room.

My daughter and I stayed for a week in August and had a lovely time. Staff were very friendly, hotel is modern and very clean.
The pool area never felt too busy and always sun beds available even in peak season (maybe a few more umbrellas would be great😉)
The beach is on your door step and just a 15 minute walk to Alvor.
We look forward to returning next year.

This is our 6th visit to Pestana South Beach and the hotel, the staff and the location never disappoint. The hotel is located about a 15 minute stroll along the beach boardwalk into Alvor….nothing beats the sound of crashing waves. a big thank you to Andre and all the hotel staff for being so courteous and welcoming - we look forward to seeing you all again next October.

Clean bright rooms, modern design, with touches of fun. Common areas great, the pools (3!) were perfect for swimming a few laps to unwind, with direct access to a beautiful boardwalk promenade and beach. Ariana at the front desk was gracious and welcoming, and especially helpful in solving a problem for us. We would recommend the Pestana Beach South Beach, and we would go there again.
