The excellent service and friendliness is the positive we will remember about this hotel. Other positives ... our room, comfortable and very well maintained. Outside areas, average though good service for snacks and drinks at lunch time. Another positive was the cleanliness of all areas. Negatives, in our opinion ... the restaurant. While the food was good and the dishes varied and interesting, we really had trouble enjoying our meals because every dish was cold. The other negative regarding the restaurant was actually no fault of the hotel but many of the people we were dining with! Sad to say but appropriate dress for dinner, , eating habits and manners were sorely lacking. During our 10-day stay we rarely enjoyed our meals as the atmosphere and noise was like dining in a canteen.
Based on the excellent reviews, perhaps we expected too much.

We stayed for 10 days, adult and 1 year old.
Staff are all amazing.
We did bed and breakfast - selection was amazing, everyday fresh eggs in 4 different forms, options for different pancakes (oat milk and cow's milk).
Cleaning staff were polite and kind as well.
Bar staff were amazing with the little one, due to it not being extremely busy there were supportive and caring with my little one as well.
Different food and drinks options are not too expensive on the lunch menu.
Could not recommend this place enough.
Location across the road from the beach, easy access to buses to different locations and also walkable for those able to Alvor and Portimão as well.
Helpful with any recommendations needed.
I WILL be returning and have already recommended to other people.

Review based on a 7 night stay, half-board at the end of September 2024.
This is a great hotel located in a very convenient location in Portimão. There are plenty of shops, restaurants and bars nearby. The fantastic beach has lots of restaurants all connected with a boardwalk which made getting around the beach area very easy.
There is a gentle incline down to the beach from the front of the hotel with a drop of ~30 metres but most other points of access to the beach around the town involve using steps so the hotel is well located regarding beach access. The taxi rank is also around the corner for visits further afield.
The staff were very friendly and helpful and were on hand for anything needed during our stay. The only observation was the service around the pool area for drinks orders was a little lacking at times but this is a very minor issue. The food during our stay was excellent with plenty of choice. The rooms and shared areas were always clean. The bed was a little hard for our liking but this is a personal preference and the hotel did provide a mattress topper which helped.
Overall, we had a fantastic stay here and would definitely stay again in the future.

As a previous user of their Spa, my experience was pretty underwhelming. The location is perfect and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The pool, snacks and cocktails were also very good. However, I found the beds, couches and chairs all very uncomfortable. And our bathroom always had a strange sewer smell.
Although there was a huge variety of food at breakfast, it didn't have much flavor.

Jupiter Algarve hotel is a wonderful place to stay. Great location for the beach and restaurants/bars all walking distance. Clean rooms, great gym and spa. Lovely food. Excellent friendly staff. Massive thanks to staff member Marcelo he went above and beyond to help us with everything we needed. Highly recommend this hotel.
