At a wonderful vacation even though it was during the wintertime, there is an amazing view From almost every part of the hotel and spa, we enjoyed a couple's massage that was amazing and worth every Euro. There are many places to sun and look at the gorgeous. Views up-and-down the beach and many wonderful activities in the area, including wonderful restaurants to eat at. And lots of sun and fun.The place itself is very clean. The people are very respectful and it really is a four star Hotel and Spa!

The hotel is in an amazing location. Service is super friendly and very good. Front desk as well as wait staff. Rooms are very clean and quiet. You can hear the ocean waves if you are facing the front (pool ocean side).
It was a shame the window was so small when you could have a huge window to bring in more light and view. The rooms are a little dated but very clean and comfortable.
Service at the bar and the restaurant was very nice. The food was ok. I enjoyed the fresh fruit and the fresh eggs for breakfast (and the fresh fish and meats for dinner). Breakfast and dinner was buffet. The coffee for breakfast was not great. But they are serving so many people so I guess it is to be expected. There is also an Italian restaurant that is open for lunch and dinner.

Pros:
* The dinner options were excellent, offering a wide variety of dishes, particularly fish and vegetables.
* The service in the restaurant was great.
* The hotel’s proximity to the beach was very convenient.
* Room cleaning was consistently thorough.
* Thoughtful Christmas gifts were provided for both children and adults.
Cons:
* Unfortunately, my friend encountered BEDBUGS in her room, which caused multiple bites on her face and shoulders. When reported to the reception, the response was that it might have been due to a previous guest. This explanation did not inspire confidence in the hotel’s hygiene standards. The only resolution offered was moving her to a different room, with no additional compensation.
* All beverages, including water, had to be purchased separately. Furthermore, guests were not allowed to bring their own water bottles into the restaurant. I truly believe that for a 4-star hotel, this should not be a case.
* The rooms were generally outdated, with old furniture, carpets, and wardrobes. In my room, the toilet was broken and required multiple calls to reception before it was fixed during the whole our stay. Additionally, the amenities provided were minimal for a 4-star hotel, offering only basic green/black tea and instant coffee (same for the restaurant).
* They also included the charge for the drinks that we didn’t purchase into the check-out bills. Please check carefully!

May I say that I’ve stayed here many times and have never been disappointed.
The staff in general work very hard and keep standards very high.
Often after breakfast I sit in the foyer and love to people watch but it also gives me an opportunity to watch the staff as well.
In particular I would like to give a mention to the lovely Raphael and Pedro Esteves.. both are exceptional at what they do.
Thank you so much for your service and it is always greatly appreciated.

Amazing views from ocean facing balconies. The beds are very comfortable. Rooms are clean but a bit dated, especially carpet and bathroom hardware. Included breakfast is outstanding with a huge variety. The pool and surrounding area is terrific. The walk down to the beach is very long and not for the faint of heart. Also, it is too bad PortoBay does not have lounge chairs with umbrellas on the beach. We’d rather pay extra per night for them to be included, but instead need to rent a pair from a vendor for 20EU per day. But the beach and the views are amazing.
