Let's keep it "short" and simple, other than the location is nice with a beach and pool, and it's a 15 mins walk from a big mall.
The entire experience was terrible, the service, the way they handle complaints, which they don't... A hotel of 4 stars? Questionable, no tea or coffee box in the room, not a single iron available at the hotel to iron my clothes. Rooms are old and dim, barely any light. Breakfast is decent and dinner was most of the time ok, but lunch? They offered a burger and pasta with 3 salads and french fries and if not hamburger then hotdog, and the food is undercooked or just tastes bad without any seasoning.
When we brought up the problem to the reception they completely dismissed it by saying there is nothing to do, that's the lunch available here.
Simply wouldn't return here, an overpriced hotel with so little to offer for its name.
If it was refundable I would have left for another hotel!

I’m honestly shocked this hotel is rated 4 stars. It fails to meet even basic expectations you'd get at a 3-star hotel, let alone a 4-star. No iron available in the room or from reception like any other hotel that respects itself. I need to use their laundry service. No coffee or tea station in the room!!
The room itself is old, poorly lit, and feels neglected, especially the closet.
The food was by far one of the worst parts. I ordered full board, but the lunch is worst yuan any other meals. No buffet, it is limited, only one or two options. Undercooked chicken nuggets that were red on the inside, pasta with zero flavor, and a buffet that’s embarrassingly small with very limited options, especially during lunch. For a hotel of this supposed caliber, I expected at least a decent buffet — not food that’s either tasteless or questionable in terms of safety. Yesterday, for example, we had ONLY sausage in the buffet! Illogical. Not even tasty.
Service? Dismissive and unhelpful. When I raised concerns, the response was basically a shrug — no solutions, no effort. I absolutely would not recommend it to anyone. the receptionist us they’ll prepare suitable food at lunch time, bur no one did something.

Vegan review: Very nice 4 star hotel and quite close to Fuengirola restaurants. Delighted to find that the soaps, shampoo etc were all vegan.
Breakfast was included and we are both vegan so very pleased to find vegan milk and vegan yoghurt along with various salads, fruits, cereals and for a hot breakfast there were beans, mushrooms and baked tomatoes and I've posted photos of the breakfast buffet. Sadly the evening buffet meal didn't cater quite so well and cost €25pp. We ended up having to ask the chef to cook us a stir-fry and noodles and they had salad ingredients on the buffet. They did however have vegan Apple pie which was served cold.
There is a free kettle service for the rooms but you do have to ask for it at reception. Their spa is simple but adequate and only costs €12 pp.

Big, spacious hotel at the southern end of Fuengirola. Next to the beach and Sohail castle. 20 minutes walk to the centre of town - it's a nice walk along a promenade next to the beach. Rooms are a good size with great views. Decor is a bit tired but functional. Breakfast is a mixed bag, poor selection of cereals but fresh orange juice. Reasonable selection of fruit and bread and staff on duty to cook fresh omelettes, poached or fried eggs in addition to the usual hot breakfast items. The restaurant itself opens outside which is a lovely place to eat as the sun climbs over the water. Miramar shopping centre is about 15 minutes walk away. Taxis are reasonable especially during the day - €10 should bring you to most places in the town.

perfect beachfront escape, but could use some updates
This place has an undeniable charm—right in front of the beach, peaceful, and ideal for a relaxing stay. There’s something about Hotel IPV that feels old-school in a good way—like a classic seaside escape—but at the same time, it’s clear the hotel is due for some refurbishments.
The service is a highlight—friendly, delicate, and attentive without being overbearing. Staff truly embody warm hospitality, making it easy to settle in, dine in and enjoy the stay.
The food & beverage offering is surprisingly solid. Both breakfast and dinner buffets offer variety and quality, making dining at the hotel a genuinely enjoyable experience. The location itself is a win—calm, beachfront, and away from the crowds, which adds to the appeal.
The only real drawback? The hotel feels outdated in places. The metal work, doors, and some common areas could really use a facelift. While the classic aesthetic has its charm, a little modern touch here and there would make a world of difference.
That said, if you’re looking for a serene beachside stay with great service and a solid dining experience, this is a great pick. With a little TLC, it could be even better.
