Experiences here vary, like the rooms seem to. We loved our stay, the room was wonderful, so spacious and the beds very comfortable. Staff were incredibly hard working, and the breakfasts were fantastic. Lunch and dinner changed menus, my favourite was the night they served Moroccan cuisine.
The pool was lovely, and the general vibe of the hotel was very welcoming. Guests were a diverse mix when we stayed, and we felt very comfortable wearing hijab and full swimwear.
There is some construction in parts, and yes, the entertainment is noisy from 9-11pm, as our room faced that area. But it was fine after 11, and with the overall value for money, I am not complaining.
A lovely family holiday, thank you! I wish I'd remembered to tip the breakfast chefs, they work so hard.

Avoid at all costs – truly disappointing.
The initial room had no air conditioning and felt like a sauna. The bathroom had a sewage odor, making it very difficult to stay even for the first night. After numerous requests, I was eventually given an upgrade, and I’ve attached pictures showing the condition of the upgraded room.
On a positive note, the entertainment staff worked hard, and a few people at the restaurant genuinely tried to do their best. However, I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.

Absolutely nothing redeeming about this property - loud construction throughout the day, loud entertainment until 11pm, bad food, rude staff
There was loud construction all throughout the day right in front of my room which I wasn't warned about before booking or checking in. Music blares until 11pm at night and can be heard in the room (I couldn't hear the TV even with balcony door closed). I asked reception if there were any quieter rooms and they basically said 'tough luck' and that all the rooms were equally noisy and I should have expected it.
The staff were so rude and not helpful at all. They didn't care about hearing my feedback and did absolutely nothing to try to make my stay enjoyable. I think that even giving it one star is too high.
It was genuinely the worst hotel experience I have ever had. I was in tears both nights due to how bad it was.
The dining room was always dirty and the food was not good. The beach is a fifteen minute walk away. It's an extra fee to use the gym, not included in your booking as you might expect. It ruined the end of my stay in Morocco. I would avoid. I was made to feel very unwelcome the entire time.

Good location, not far from the beach or food places (restaurants/street food), hotel staff nice and friendly, hotel and rooms are clean. Hotel has a few things to do in house, pool table, table tennis, swimming pool, daytime and evening activities, you can also book excursions via the hotel od decent prices.
Food was adequate, breakfast menu stays the same however, dinner options change daily. The only drinks included are at breakfast, all other drinks need to be paid for.
There was quite a bit of noise until approx 2am every night due to another hotel having outside music. There is also a night club on their doorstep which is open until 5am however where our room was, we didn't have any issues.

Just completing a 9 day stay in a family room at Hotel Argana. We secured the best price by booking directly with the hotel. However please note that you are expected to pay cash on arrival. This was the case for all pay on arrival bookings (booking.com etc).
Loud noise of a night until 5am from the hotel behind may be an issue for light sleepers. But we slept ok but not fantastic.
Rooms
The room was recently refurbished and of a good standard. Daily cleaning was very good. In fact the cleaners seem to be everywhere around the hotel and everywhere is spotlessly clean.
Food
If I'm honest this was a little disappointing. We were half board and I'm not a fussy eater but didn't particularly enjoy any meal, breakfast or dinner. In fact sometimes I struggled to find anything decent to eat! I would say B&B would have been better. However even meals out at lunchtime, although cheap, were often not to a great standard. So maybe this is reflective of the local restaurants as a whole.
Entertainment
Great animation team, really keep you entertained around the pool throughout the day. Evening entertainment is good. However the area at the pool bar is too small for the size of the hotel and the stage is poorly lit. Improvements are needed in this area.
Facilities
Gym (50dhm extra per session) is well equiped. Hammam/Spa is amazing. Patisserie/ Cafe very nice. Barbers reasonably priced and to a good standard.
English Pub too smokey! Private Beach (10.minutes walk)beautiful and well looked after.
Swimming pool large clean with plenty of sunbeds and parasols. Never struggled to find a space.
Summary
This is a good standard affordable family hotel. Do not come here expecting a quiet break. This is a city centre hotel with a lot of surrounding noise. Which is out of the hotel's control.
The hotel has real character in both the surroundings and its helpful staff.
Food at both breakfast and dinner buffet despite being plentiful is lacking taste and could be improved.
The refurbished rooms were excellent for us although I believe there are some yet to be changed which are lacking.
This is not the Ritz but it's not a budget hotel standard either 3.5 stars would be fair.
Get a good price and you will not be disappointed.
