We had a very enjoyable stay at the Argana Hotel in Agadir. Our room (4124) was clean and well-maintained, with excellent housekeeping service every day – fresh towels, everything neat and tidy.
The hotel is in a great location – close to the beach and right in the center. A big plus for the many activities available for both children and adults. The only thing missing was a waterslide – the kids would have loved that!
The animators were fantastic – very friendly, warm, and always smiling. Sending warm greetings to the whole team – you’re the best!
The food was tasty and varied. Unfortunately, a big downside was that drinks were not included with the Half Board option – it’s really strange that even water isn’t provided with meals. Because of this, I’m giving one star less, as I believe this should be a standard inclusion. The hotel should definitely consider changing this, as I know many other guests were also disappointed by it.
Apart from that, our stay at Hotel Argana was great and we would definitely recommend it!

Rooms are spacious and clean, however the bathroom was a little small (room 3104). Air condition wasn’t working and smoke alarm was broken.
WiFi is decent, not the best.
They do not provide a kettle in the room, however you can pay an extra charge to get one from the reception.
They charge an extra 20 Dirhams per night to use the safety deposit box in the room.
They want you to pay for everything in cash despite having a card machine.
Hotel does not provide any water with meals which is totally unacceptable.
Hotel check-in time is 4pm, which is very late.
All other facilities like the spa, pool , entertainment for adults and children etc are excellent.
The staff are great, extremely friendly and helpful.
Great location.

5 day break for my husband and I. Unfortunately the weather spoilt it a bit. The hotel is lovely though. We went half board but if I stayed again I'd probably go b&b. Reasonable choice at breakfast, there's an egg/omelette station which was perfect for me. They have a toaster machine but no bread, only rolls.
The staff were wonderful, no complaints.
We went on a city tour from the hotel which was such good value.

The hotel itself is generally OK for the money. The issue is that they expect guests to pay for their rooms in cash upon arrival and then apply questionable exchange rates at the check in desk. I brought £300 with me for spending money and wanted to change it there for a better rate, I ended up using it for the room. Instead of paying the Booking.com rate of about £355 it ended up being £405 due to the way they calculated the exchange rate from £ to Euros to MAD. Then all the additional money I withdrew from their ATM incurred a 10% fee. This is NOT ACCEPTABLE. Having read the other reviews more closely I realised afterwards that other visitors had simply refused to pay in cash and then the hotel's card reader magically started working. If I was a more experienced traveller I'd have done the same. The Wifi is awful too. The rooms are fine and the breakfast isn't bad, the pool is nice enough. If it wasn't for the payment issue the review would have been 3/4 star. I don't know how they operate like this catering to mainly Western tourists.

We stayed 7 nights with breakfast & dinner inclusive. The hotel rooms were nice and the service was good. The rooms were cleaned everyday & the cleaners were attentive to our needs. The rooms were spacious & we had an interconnected room which was good for children.
The only problem was that you need to buy water or drinks for lunch & dinner. The food wasn’t great either, very limited variety and didn’t taste nice, also some food wasn’t cooked properly therefore most of the time we ate outside for lunch & dinner.
The swimming pool & spa was great.
Night entertainment was good too.
The small children playground is very small & hazardous. Especially the swing that has a wooden seat. My son had an accident & they really should change the seat to a rubber one for children safety.
Other than that we had a great stay.
The location was great, 10mins walk to beach but again there is a hill pavement which makes it a 15mins walk so be prepared to walk especially coming up that hill with strollers.
Hotel has abit of construction work which was annoying as you can hear a lot of noise but other than these it was a pleasant stay.
