We had the best week staying on this resort.
From start to finish the rooms were stunning and I mean spotless.
Beds super comfortable
Air conditioning in the room WORKING
Bath room so clean shower great.
Breakfast was lovely we had so much choice the kids had plenty to to eat and enjoy.
The pools were all clean the grounds all spotless.
The pool bar was so handy for lunch because trying to pull kids away from the pool for lunch impossible.
The hotel is a little bit out but we used the bolt app to get to the old town and it was great.
Entertainment was okay not 10/10 but it was good for the end of September.
All the staff went out of their way to do anything to help and so good with the kids.
Chatting playing engaging in conversation with the kids which they loved.
We will definitely come back should be 5 star 🌟 🌟🌟🌟🌟

We stayed here for a week and had a great time.
To be honest, most of our time was spent away from the complex but what we needed - a decent room, pool and breakfast - were spot on.
The breakfast buffet each morning is very wide ranging.
There are a variety of breads with two toast machines.
A cooked section with fried and scrambled eggs, waffles and pancakes, then another section with bacon, sausages, beans, tomatoes, mushrooms and hash browns.
If cooked breakfast isn't your thing there's an extensive fruit section and another section with child meats and cheeses.
There's also a section with all sorts of cereals, a machine with three different juices and a hot drinks machine.
Our room was spacious with plenty of wardrobe space (2 wardrobes), a kitchen area with a fridge, small oven, microwave and toaster plus hobs. The bedroom could be separated from the living room by sliding doors and there was a bed settee in the living room too, although we didn't use it.
Two air conditioning units, one in the living room and one in the bedroom and a wide balcony overlooking the pool.
The bathroom had a large sink/vanity unit, a toilet, a bidet and a bath with shower over it.
When you check in you are given a wristband and that is your room key. Touch it to the door handle to unlock your room, no chance of forgetting your key!
All in all Alto da Colina was a great place to stay.

Just back home from an outstanding stay in Alto da Colina. Rooms were clean, large and modern with a huge balcony. The facilities are fantastic throughout, there are several pools, a kids pool with slides and a splash area which our baby loved along with a kid’s playground. We had breakfast as part of our package and the selection and quality was brilliant, the buffet catered for all tastes. There is also an Italian restaurant on-site called Giovannis and it was really handy for takeaways along with a mini mart that has a great selection too. You can also use the other Alfagar hotel’s facilities which is great for anyone that wants a change of scenery. You can also walk through the Aparthotel to the beach which has some stunning views. Staff were absolutely lovely, welcoming, hardworking and friendly, our baby loved them especially the cleaning ladies and the lady in the poolside bar. We can’t wait to return as we had the best holiday! Thanks so much ❤️

We recently stayed at Alfagar Alto da Colina in the Algarve and it was a fantastic family holiday spot. The apartments were spacious and well-equipped. The kids loved the pools and the splash park, although the water was a bit chilly since we visited out of season. The views from our room were amazing and the on-site restaurant was great value, with decent meal options that made dining easy. It’s a short walk to Praia Maria Luísa beach, which is beautiful and other activities are only a short taxi ride away. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout. Overall, an excellent choice for a family-friendly, budget-conscious getaway!

It's not without it's faults! 99% of the staff are very nice, however I found the Service at the bar for both food and drink was painfully slow at times! If I wasn't paying €4 a pint wouldn't have minded so much! There charging top prices for food and drink the service should reflect that! The bathroom in the room had black mould in corners (room 203) again we paid a significant amount of money to stay there and I feel little things like that should really be sorted!
Finally for the bad things, ask for a bottom floor apartment if you don't want to spend half your holiday waiting on the lift, again painfully slow.
All that said, I wouldn't give it less than 5 stars as the breakfast was very good indeed, great variety for everyone's taste. I found the entertainment at the pool was very good, the rooms were cleaned on a regular basis, fresh towels provided. We didn’t rent towels but you can if you need them! And most of the staff were very pleasant and accommodating.
