I had such an amazing time at Excellence Riviera Cancun—it truly lives up to its name! From the moment I arrived, I felt so welcomed and cared for. The service was top-tier, and the staff went above and beyond to make sure every moment was special.
Shoutout to Miguel, Hugo, Matilde, and Mario at the pool for their energy and kindness, and to Edy, Christin, and Leslie at The Kitchen Table for always starting our mornings off right. Miguel made our private dinner even more memorable, and the live jazz was such a nice touch. Leylan at concierge was an absolute gem—so helpful and warm.
And a huge thank you to the managers, Magali and especially David. You both made such a lasting impression and truly changed how I see this resort. I met so many guests who shared how much they love it here, and now I completely understand why.
After a week of unforgettable memories, I’m sad to leave—but I’m already looking forward to coming back! This place is something truly special. Thank you again David!!!

Our stay was excellent. We were very impressed even after being a little skeptical booking as a last minute trip. Did not disappoint at all!
Agave was our favorite restaurant we visited on our trip.. even went twice because Fernando was so great. Every item was incredible!
Hibachi is a must if you can get the reservation!! Worth the time and the meal was phenomenal. Super impressed having that good of hibachi in Mexico.

Our experience at Excellence Riviera Cancun was nothing short of exceptional, but what truly made it unforgettable was the impeccable service at the Excellence Club pool—especially thanks to Marco. From the moment we arrived, Marco went above and beyond to make every detail perfect. His attentiveness, professionalism, and warm personality made us feel genuinely pampered.
Whether it was anticipating our drink preferences, ensuring our towels were always fresh, or simply checking in to see if we needed anything, Marco delivered a level of service that was truly above and beyond. Every interaction was thoughtful and seamless—he made us feel like royalty.
The entire team at the Excellence Club pool was outstanding—friendly, responsive, and always smiling. But Marco was the shining star. It’s rare to encounter such consistent excellence, and he set the bar incredibly high.

Overall our stay at the Excellence was great! We would definitely return. The only negative aspect of the property is the beach. Tons of seaweed. The water was brown in color and emanated an unpleasant odor. We stayed off the beach. The upside is that the property has several pool options with different vibes. There’s something for everyone. A lazy river to relax, multiple smaller pools, and a large main pool that played music and hosted activities throughout the day.
The best part of Excellence Riviera Cancun is the exceptional service and staff. Shoutout to the following amazing excellence yea members among others. Amable, Moises, and the bartender at the Club Bar provided phenomenal pool service! They took care of us from day one and throughout our stay. Angelo on the entertainment team was amazing incredible, friendly, and kind. Mario at the poolside concierge was wonderful, along with Euterio from the grounds steam. They made sure we finally got our coconuts after waiting all week. Euterio climbed a tree to get us those coconuts. That’s impeccable service! Rodolfo was an exceptional host at Basmati. The food at Basmati was delicious. We had our best meals at Basmati, Chez Isabel, and Magna. Delightful and superb service and experience!! Thank you, Excellence team!

This resort was amazing. Great drinks, wonderful food, but above all, fantastic staff. Everyone I interacted with at the resort was so kind and helpful.
Pedro at the interlude bar made an amazing drink and had me and my friend cracking up all weekend!
Javier the cocktail waiter at the pool bar was so nice and really took the time to get to know his guests. You could tell he loves his job.
Ariely at the lazy river went above and beyond for our group. We were never without a fresh drink and as soon as she knew our drinks we didn't even have to ask! And! She brought us waters with every cocktail which was much appreciated!
Gil, who greeted us and helped us to our room, was so knowledgeable of the resort and gave us some great tips for our trip.
Jessica at the concierge desk was so helpful with an issue we ran into with our transfer (not the resorts fault!). What could've been a stressful experience was handled with grace and professionalism.
There are so many other people that helped make our stay as amazing as it was. I can't recommend this resort enough!
