It’s advertised as a spa and wellness hotel but the spa isn’t included in the price of the hotel. It’ll cost an additional 25€ for an entry. The gym is smaller than your hotel room. Very basic equipment, enough to do the job, but very bad air… they need to do something about letting fresh air in / circulating the air better. The pool is nice. The rooms are nice. The fan speed cannot be remotely controlled. You have to ask them to send someone to change the speed for you. The shower is outdated. The water pressure isn’t there, and the water temperature switches by itself between cold to too hot as you shower. The room cards kept losing their code and we had to go multiple times to the reception to get a new card. The service staff were friendly, professional and did their jobs well. All in all, we would not stay here again. We do not understand how it’s a 4 star hotel and well rated for what it offers.

We are currently staying at the senator in Marbella and I have to leave a review already because it’s just been such a good experience all round. I did not mention it was my birthday but they noted it from my passport and I’ve just come back to a bottle of champagne in the room which is such a lovely gesture!! Rooms are spotlessly clean, hotel pool and bar lovely, staff friendly, location is perfect, I literally cannot fault the place. Thank you so much for the best stay, 100% will return!!!

The service of every single staff in this hotel is wonderful. The room is a bit old, but well maintained. We quite enjoyed the breakfast buffet. The selection is nothing special, but they tasted fresh.

Hotel is very nice although there seemed to be issues with the lift every day. Staff on the front desk are mostly lovely, in particular one lady who seemed to work evenings was very nice! Didn't use the spa as 25 euros for 90 minutes was extremely expensive, especially if you wanted to visit multiple times. I've been to plenty of Spanish hotels that had a free spa or at least unlimited time in the day for the price. Breakfast I can't really fault, I found something I liked which was surprising given how fussy I am. There was a station to have freshly made fried egg and omlettes etc. Room was fine, we had two double beds pushed together which we didn't mind. Aircon was ancient in our room but worked fine. Balcony was great for drying clothes with a clothes rack. Pool was absolutely freezing and there is about a 2ft drop to get in the pool - you can't even hang your legs over to dip them in the water to cool down. Both jacuzzis were also fine but cold, you got used to it once you had been in a little while. The pool bar has food on order, we had pizzas a couple of times but the carbonara is horiffic I wouldn't eat that. Walk to the beach was about 5 minutes downhill but coming back up it is VERY STEEP especially if you're in flip flops so be careful.

Well located boutique hotel. Good breakfast and friendly staff. Beware of the parking. Anything bigger then a fiat panda and you will scrape around the incredibly tight and sharp corners getting in and out. I had a ford focus and its was a nightmare. I'm one of many who ended up scrapping their sides! Better to lay a little extra and park on the street or in the local municipality parking lot behind the hotel.

Excellent hotel in the middle of the Marbella sea front action. Beach within 5 minutes of walking, shops, restaurants all nearby. Brilliant breakfast, whatever you prefer. Super friendly staff. Best value for money if you want to stay in Marbella. Honest.

While this hotel is centrally located in Marbella, the rooms are not as they appear in the photos and the service was also more than disappointing. I check into El Faro with my son, who has a serious chronic health condition, and found our non smoking room smelled terribly of smoke triggering a significant asthma attack in my son. I called the concierge while my son waited on the balcony and the concierge conceded that there was a bad smell but insisted it was only paint- as a former smoker myself I can recognize the smell of stale smoke in a room. He offered us the only other available room but that too smelled strange and had the same low quality bedding and feel so we opted not to stay. Having made the reservation through a third party vendor we needed a letter from the hotel indicating we had not stayed there in order to recoup the payment for the 3 nights we had booked. Although I was told by two different hotel employees that the manager needed to help with this, no one could/would put me in touch with the manager directly and all 3 of my emails went unanswered. I finally disputed the charge through my credit card and happily recouped my expenses that way. It is unfortunate that this issue couldn't be resolved more easily and directly. I presented my concern and request thoughtfully and with appreciation for their efforts and the positive aspects of their lodging so as not to offend but, in the end, even the kindest and most careful approach was ignored. I know this hotel gets good ratings from other customers but, this particular experience aside, based on the furnishings and room quality that baffles me.

Attended a corporate event earlier this week and the service provided was fantastic, before (when organising it) and on the day itself. The catering was superb and the staff was professional and polite throughout the event. We were a large group and everyone really enjoyed themselves. Looking forward to repeating next year!

As a women coming to this resort alone I felt the bar staff in Santa Maria were very rude. They didn’t seem to want to serve me or pay an interest like my money didn’t matter because I was only paying for one person. The rooms were the noisiest I have ever experienced in a hotel especially with the interconnecting door to a strangers room which is a terrible idea. You can hear when the room next door switches on their light. Bathroom was dirty and bathtub was filthy with dirt and hair inside. Pool was nice and reception staff helpful with ubers and taxis. Would not return.

upon arrival, i found multiple insects in the bathroom crawling in the sink and on the floor. concerned about the cleanliness, i called the receptionist to request a room change. a manager came to inspect the situation and kindly explained that the insects came from outside and are harmless. he offered to have the housecleaner deep clean the room instead of changing it, which was not satisfactory. as a guest, i expect a standard of cleanliness and comfort, and finding multiple insects in my room failed to meet those expectations. i found the manager's overall demeanour dismissive as he downplayed the incident as a normal occurrence. the room lacks soundproofing, you can hear everything as if you’re present in another person’s conversation. i could hear arguments from the room next to me and even just the sound of footsteps walking past my door. it quickly became irritating as the noise grew and the groups staying on the floor became bigger. some of the receptionists were kind, which contributed to a more positive experience. breakfast had a variety of options that i found okay. overall, i would not recommend this hotel to others based on what i encountered. i hope the hotel management takes this feedback seriously and ensures that rooms are thoroughly cleaned and maintained to prevent future guests from having similar experiences.

They charge 15 euro a day for parking, which was not communicated to us until after we arrived. The pool is only open from 11am. Rooms are clean, but dated. Our hair dryer was broken, the air conditioning was very weak so we were sweltering hot and couldn't sleep even with it going full blast. Hotel is frequented by a lot of young people, we had teenagers running down the halls knocking on every door, and Hotel wouldn't do anything about it. Wouldn't recommend staying here.

Hi, I’m going to your hotel in April next year, but in the dates when I will go to your hotel, the pools are not open yet, Why? It has a good temperature in that season like 20 degrees Celsius to 25, so why not opening your pools after the winter ends, it’s bad for the customers that want to go to the pools, and can’t bcs it’s closed

We stayed in a spacious two bedroom apartment for a couple of days and had a great time! The apartment itself is slightly dated but has everything you need including a washer/dryer! Breakfast every morning was scrumptious with plenty of healthy options! The property is close to Nikki Beach which is just a short walk down the road. Plenty of Pools on property is that is more your thing. The only thing I will mention is the breakfast staff may be a bit lacking with customer service in particular a lady named Valentina. She was rude and not always very helpful. She would drag her cart around and throw dishes in loudly even when breakfast was still in progress. She also yelled at other staff who were just doing their job! She promptly shut off the coffee/juice machines once breakfast was over not allowing anyone to go inside and get refills. For the price we pay for the rooms+breakfast, surely an extra cup of coffee or juice wouldn't hurt her or the hotel. She just made breakfast very unpleasant every morning. Her rude and loud demeanour needs to be addressed/corrected because it ruins the breakfast experience completely. On the other hand I can't say enough good things about Jose at the front desk! He was always polite, kind and very helpful! Good customer service makes a huge difference! With a little bit of TLC and refurbishing/redecorating, this spot can be real star! It has so much potential!

Stayed here last month on a family holiday and we had a pleasant stay. Staff are helpful and polite. Buildings are slightly outdated and not well maintained to the standard it could be. However, the apartments do have good space.

I thought for a long time whether to give 1 or 2 stars, but I try to be honest. I took a few days to think and can't get beyond one *. I wondered who these people are who rate this place 5* . The place is very, very old. Photos are misleading, 100%. The lobby is already dirty, not to mention the rest. The rooms smell of humidity and chlorine, I had to sleep on the balcony to breathe. Musty downstairs. The dinner was the worst I have ever tasted. Worse than in India. I smelled the corn, it was rotten. Not a single piece of chicken or pork, no fish. There were weird salads and stews, some cheap custard cakes and nothing to drink, not even water, you had to buy it from the bar. The fruits were defective. Breakfast was better, a little, but still, no egg, no porridge, little choice for latecomers. We paid for the meals, actually everyone could walk in and out of the "restaurant"... The servants are rather mean, only the dark-headed man at the reception was good, he really tried to help. The hotel used to be awesome, but the owners don't put a single penny into renovations, even though it's full house all the time. It was quiet to sleep, but also the top floor, so half a point for sleeping, half a point for the location. The star of the hotel is not to be believed, it is not true. If you are used to 4-5 star places, better not go.

Just got back from this hotel and we were very pleased with all of the staff and how helpful they were. Its location is great as placed between shops and services , while being close to the beach. It was a very relaxing short break and for a reasonable price. We would return and as everything was so easy , would come for longer next time .

Honestly, I was pleasantly surprised. My wife booked this and honestly, the pictures just DON’T do it justice. The rooms were really good, the overall resort was really good, staff were great, food was good (breakfast tried only) the location is great if staying in Marbella to amenities, and overall an excellent experience. The hotel was not only beautifully decorated but also very clean and well-maintained. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, which made me feel at home. The service at the hotel deserves special mention. The staff was extremely helpful, always smiling and ready to meet all my needs. They quickly responded to requests and questions, which made my stay much more enjoyable. Additionally, the food at the hotel restaurant was delicious and varied. I will definitely return to Hard Rock hotel next time. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a place to relax and unwind!”

The hotel has been changed to hard rock brand cheaply and in general mediocre for the price. We were fortunate with our deluxe room allocation, it was clean&comfortable, a testament to the cleaning staff. We had views of the pool and sun on our balcony in the morning. It would help if there were more sun loungers as the large poolside beds are chargeable. Hard rock should take steps to make this clearer at the time of booking as it feels hidden in the t&cs. The poolside staff provided great service to us and didn’t quit all day in the heat. The reception staff provided fantastic service to us, listened and accommodated us when we shared our hotel experience. Breakfast had a wide selection of food available and wasn’t busy before 9 and food was still fresh. The hotel is a 15/20min walk to the marina, it’s an easier route if you head towards the beach via the underpass near the hotel.

Although I misplaced a note with the names of half a dozen 'Hard Rockers,' I won’t forget Muad at reception. He went above and beyond, helping out with a few non-hotel-related matters. His professionalism and personable approach put him among the best I’ve come across in my travels. The lady at the Sessions restaurant in the morning also stood out. Always friendly and upbeat wearing a cool 'Hard Rocker' style leather jacket, she was oftentimes the first face we would see when confirming hotel number and name for breakfast, before the first coffee of the day, and always with a genuine smile. She is fantastic. There were quite a few bored guests when rain stopped play, and the guys at GMT+1 bar were fantastic.  CR7 is one of the many great guys there and always ready to chat to the hotel guests waiting for sunshine. Overall, it was a great experience, and when I’m back in Marbella, I will only stay here.

Cool hotel and nice ambiance and sweet staff!. But the surrounding systems (music wise) was a bit too much. You couldn’t find one single square meter that was quiet. And there was one song playing in the elevator another in the hall and a third in the lounge area 🤣 I love the pool area, and the music. But the quality of the speakers made it pretty tiering (specially if you stayed sober 😉) So i recommend this hotel for party animals going away for a wet weekend. The food was really good and the buffet generous ! 👍🏼👍🏼 So if you need to do a call or shoot a video (where you are talking) you need to get out of the hotel and stand on the parking lot. There are thou some nice cafes right outside! But keep in mind you are very close to a heavy traffic road, that wasn’t helping 😅 So maybe we were misled that we could have a recovering vacation with some party and gym! Not so much unfortunately. But once again the staff was sweet and the food good!

Lovely hotel, made excellent by it's amazing staff. Everywhere in the hotel is immaculate. All of the waiters were cheery, friendly and helpful. The pool attendant was brilliant: he had to ask us to take down the sunshade, as it was too windy but then moved us, our sunbeds and sunshade to another area of the pool. Fast WiFi was available everywhere. On the last day, as we'd arrived late for check-in, they even allowed us to have lunch past check out time - a very unexpected but lovely bonus. Buffet dinner was delicious and really varied - no chance of getting bored!

My wife and I stayed here 5 nights for our honeymoon. Everything was so amazing beyond our expectations. The room was extremely clean and comfortable. We splurged on a room with an outdoor Jacuzzi and it was pure bliss. We had many interactions with the staff and every single person was very friendly and accommodating. The setting of the hotel itself is incredible. Amazing views of the Mediterranean and the beautiful architecture of the hotel itself. The hotel is close to a variety of restaurants, shops, and beaches. But our favorite parts of the entire stay were the beautiful saltwater pool area and the breakfast buffet. The food was fresh, varied, and of very high quality. This was the nicest hotel we'd ever stayed at, couldn't recommend it enough!

Two couples from the USA shared a large part of our 40th anniversary trip at this hotel and were delighted all around! The staff is friendly, efficient and truly interested in your experience. The facility and rooms were attractive, well kept and spacious. Food service was very good. We took breakfast daily and had dinner two evenings...all very good. The location was a great home base to explore Southern Spain and Gibraltar. Highly recommend this Iberostar!

Nice 4 🌟 hotel a little away (5km) from Marbella City Center. Rooms were recently renovated (we stayed in Double Pool View) and staff was very attentive, and breakfast buffet was amazing every morning. Nice property with easy parking right out main front door. Has outdoor pool and jacuzzi as well as a 24hr gym. To get to the beach you just have to exit rear gate by pool and walk a 1-2 minutes and you're there. Bus stop (to and an Aldi supermarket within 3min walk from property as well.

We had a great stay and loved the view from our hotel room. The adult only atmosphere was very much appreciated (although the volume of the music everywhere could be a bit lowered for our liking) and the service was great. Breakfast early morning on the terrace heavenly. Location unbeatable and we definitely know where we'll stay when we come back to Marbella.

We really liked the location, beach (live music, DJ, towels and confortable sunbeds) and vibe. The food at the restaurant and breakfast was delicious. The room was cleaned every day and the pool is spacious. However, the furniture in the room has some drawbacks – it's not very modern or fresh, and it shows signs of aging without updates over time. The staff was super friendly, attentive to our needs and always had a smile on their faces. The view is impressive though. We recommend it.

Well located in Marbella, convenient to walk around the city. Great infrastructure. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast is great, mixing Spanish selected delicatessen and international ones. I must mention the amenities selection, specifically the soaps and creams by Molton Brown, the blue one called Coastal (shower gel) is spectacular, I loved it!!!

Absolutely loved it - highly recommended and fairly reasonable for the high quality. One small gripe which was solved to my satisfaction was that the allergy menu didn't reflect the allergens present in the food. Luckily the marvelous waiter/ manager ensured it was safe.

Stayed in Supreme Room Front Sea View room. Disappointing not worth the €800+ for one night. Room was nice but the bathroom needs complete replacement. It felt cheap, poorly designed and certainly not what we would expect at that price. The sea view was stunning as were the hotel and grounds. The balcony chairs need replacing as very worn. Breakfast was nice. All staff were friendly. Great location of hotel, walking distance to old town along beautiful promenade. Good parking. Would not return unless rooms updated and bathroom redesigned.

Every person was kind and sincerely wanted to help. The sushi restaurant had great views of the sea, with first class sushi. Steak house was spacious with great selection. Awesome filets. Overall this was an incredible experience and each member of our family was very very happy. Top tier service, location, and food. We can't wait to come back.

Outstanding location, superb facilities and friendly staff. I highly recommend to stay on red level. The pool area is fantastic specially the area near the bar and glass rails. We enjoyed the food in all restaurants and they didn’t disappoint. We tried the beach area one day and we loved it but did miss the very attentive staff of the pool area. Easy walk to town.

One of the most beautiful and luxurious hotels we have ever stayed in, like walking into a dream! Special thanks to the lovely Carlotta from guest services who even provided us chocolate covered strawberries in the room. We could not find fault with any aspect of our stay as the staff went above and beyond to make sure guests were comfortable, even preparing a special tomato salad on the bar terrace area for my mum and moving heaters to keep us warm. Food at the sushi restaurant and fine dining restaurant was also extremely good (although here was our only small issue as both restaurants initially gave us tables in a separate smaller room or a table in the entryway to the restaurant, saying there was no other space; when we offered to eat quickly they would change our table to a better one which we then got to keep for the night, but I think they generally keep the good tables for more frequent guests. They also charged us twice for a main course at the fine dining restaurant but I think this was an honest mistake). The breakfast was also extremely nice and beach area was fine, although note that they don't have the beach club open every day of the week. Overall a dream of a stay and we cannot wait to return!

Having lunch at the bar of Anantara Villa Padierna Palace Benahavís Marbella Resort was nothing short of disappointing. For an incredibly bland and shockingly subpar club sandwich, we were charged nearly €30. We asked for extra chicken on both club sandwiches, which came at an outrageous additional cost of €12 per sandwich, totaling €24—and yet there was barely any extra chicken. The chicken burger? It felt like something you’d grab from a vending machine after a night out, surrounded by rowdy tourists. The fresh juice was €9 per glass, and a simple espresso was €6. The quality, compared to the price, was absolutely laughable. We brought this to the staff’s attention, and while they were understanding and graciously adjusted the bill, the food was far beneath what you’d expect from a five-star hotel. Truly one of the worst meals I’ve ever had, and frankly, a disgrace.

Stunning Palace, perched on a golf course with beautiful rooms. We had a small suite overlooking the golf course. The highlight for me was the Sunday breakfast. Probably one of the best breakfast I have seen in the hotel considering that I’m travelling the world extensively.. farm to table section with avocado and tomatoes - scrumptious 😋 Bakery section - so delicious. My only little complain is the coffee. There is not enough baristas so people had to wait a long time for coffee, to solve the problem they have small sections of Nespresso which addresses the immediate need for caffeine. The properties, a little bit remote from the rest of the action .

A truly magical hotel perfect for couples, families and foodies. The service provided during our stay was amongst the best in the world. The attention to detail is incredible. The choice of restaurants and cuisine within easy walking distance is exceptional. We highly recommend walking through the hotel gardens during the night - wow! 5 star kids club. Buggy service throughout the resort. Private beach area with beds for hotel guests. We look forward to coming back soon!

Disappointing Experience - Overcrowded and Overpriced! I recently stayed at the Puente Romano Beach Resort, and I was incredibly disappointed with my experience. First off, the resort was far too crowded. Whether it was at the pool, the beach, or the restaurants, it was nearly impossible to find a quiet spot to relax. For a supposed luxury resort, I was expecting a far more exclusive and tranquil atmosphere, but it felt more like a packed holiday resort. Additionally, the prices are outrageous for what you get. You pay a premium rate, but the service certainly doesn’t match it. I felt like I was constantly chasing down staff for basic things like towels or drinks, and the level of attention just wasn’t there. For the price they charge, I expected top-tier service, but instead, it felt like we were just another number. If you’re looking for a peaceful, luxurious escape where you feel pampered, this isn’t the place. There are better options that provide actual value for your money. I won't be returning.

Every restaurant and bar on the property truly understands the meaning of 5 star service. The staff was so friendly and helpful - I cannot wait to come back next year and hopefully see them all again. This was the worst customer experience I’ve ever had at any hotel or resort claiming to be "5-star." 1. We ate a burger at Cheat and found a hair in it. 2. The AC in our room was unbearably hot and leaked water, creating a dangerous situation where we could've slipped. 3. They force you to book and prepay around 250 euros for restaurants in the plaza, which is a complete rip-off. 4. The noise level was outrageous, and housekeeping even entered our room while we were sleeping, completely ignoring the "Do Not Disturb" sign. 5. The rooms were filthy, with outdated decor that made the place feel rundown. 6. When we checked out, they overcharged us for airport transportation. Most frustrating of all, when I brought these issues to the hotel manager’s attention, he just sat there and said, "What do you expect? This resort is an old building," completely ignoring the rest of my complaints. Overall, if you expect 5-star service here, you will be severely disappointed.

This was not a destination. I decided to go for a drive on a sunny day, and kept driving until I came to the end of the road. This beautiful place is where the road ended. The views are beautiful, the property is beautiful and service at the restaurant was excellent. Will come back to Spain just to stay here.

Fantastic entertainment for all ages. I really enjoyed this aspect of what the hotel has to offer but the food really does let this hotel down. They cater for Eastern European holiday makers. So if you’re from the UK there is a good chance you will not like the food. The pools and slides plus entertainment for the children is superb, I would visit again but wouldn’t do all inclusive.

This hotel is intended only for families with kids. The staff are very helpful and entertainment is AMAZING. Considering they are doing everything themselves and it is free of charge for hotel residents, I am well impressed! (The effort they put in in the evening program, just wow!) The costumes and the amount of thought that goes in to it just for kids (!) Entertainment is well worth for adults as well. In the beginning I thought it was a bit pricey but when you actually get so see how much effort they put in to everything - it's amazing! Yes, the rooms are a bit run down, but housekeeping is 5*. The breakfast is ordinary. Didn't get the lunch options so cannot judge that. Dinners are good especially if you like fish as it is cooked better than meat. Good for vegetarians as well! All in all, highly recommend and very huge thank you to the staff!

I was concerned after booking and reading some more reviews however I'm glad I wasn't put off staying here. The rooms are clean, although could do with a bit of touching up. The air con works well and the rooms have plenty of storage. The balcony is quite small and can only really be used to sit out on and have a coffee. The food selection throughout the day was always good, plentiful and tasteful. Even during the summer holidays the pools were not rammed and there was plenty of seating around the pools and pool bar. Lots of entertainment throughout the day and evening, mainly aimed at children but all set up around the pool for everyone to watch. We didn't use the shuttle bus as the beach was only a 10 - 15 minute pleasant walk away. Staff spoke little English however we managed to get by without any great issues. Some reviews said the staff were rude and although I agree it first appears this way, having stayed for 6 days and being surrounded by the Spanish guests in the hotel, this just seems to be their culture. Don't expecting any niceties, please or thank yous, or any queuing around the buffet.

A family-friendly resort that is becoming a little 'dated'. The staff are all courteous and work hard to keep the resort in good order. Our room was comfortable and clean, with maids who attended daily. The Manager at check-in was very helpful and so were the others we spoke to when we needed information. We were on a half-board basis and a little disappointed with the food on offer which was repetitive, mostly lukewarm too so not appetising! Many of the guests were ill-mannered French who did not queue, and took vast quantities of food that they wasted. The grounds are maintained well and the swimming pools (one with water chutes as well as slides that the kids enjoyed) have ample sunbeds. We cannot add much more on this subject because the water was too cold for our liking - as Seniors! For those like us, who wish to explore surrounding areas, there are bus stops nearby that will take you to Marbella (about 10km to the West) and Fuengirola (about 20km to the East). There are two small Supermarkets and Bars as well as Restaurants nearby. Overall, it is a nice Resort in a quiet location that will suit those looking for a rest and are happy to stay on-site. The evening entertainment is outdoors which is fine during the warmer months. In conclusion, we would have preferred more Spanish food, served hot, and a better dress code applied during the evening meal - beachwear should only be allowed earlier in the daytime!

I was a bit skeptical reading the reviews. However, the hotel is great for the value of the money. The location is not beachfront but the bus provided by the hotel that takes you to the beach is a huge add. Food is good with many choices. Pools are great but need extra supervision. Overall my experience was great. Definitely recommend this hotel

I was very dissapointed with this hotel. I don't consider it offers 3* conditions. Although we announced we'll have an 8 months old baby with us, we were offered a room in the dinosaur building, which was old and very far from the one with the restaurant and the reception. And it didn't have an elevator, either, which made things complicated. But that wasn't the main issue. The furniture was old and there was a strong mold smell in the air. We asked for another room, but we encountered the same problem. After lots of discussions and the help of the tourism agency we bought the tickets from, we got a room in the reception building, which made things a lot easier for us. But the first 2 days were not nice at all. Also, the food was average to poor. I do not recommend this hotel.

My advice would be if your not all inclusive or need space don't visit this hotel!. Unfortunately the rooms despite being comfortable are as small as they come and ridiculous for a family of 4 to stay in. The area is lovely and quite with a quaint beach 8 mins walk away, however should you wish to taste the Spanish cuisine there are very few places to eat and nothing to shout about, you can however grab a local bus to Marbella centre for €1.20 where you will find everything you need. The staff in the hotel are friendly the cleaner's are especially good at there job, the facilities are OK however this is a very child friendly hotel that caters more for younger children and are sometimes more safety then fun! for example no inflatables in the pool, the life gaurd follows you close without a smile which is a little uncomfortable. Unfortunately the entertainment on site really sucks! That's of course when there's entertainment most evenings the hotel is dead. If you have English children wanting to join in on clubs through out the day they won't because of the language barrier it's a very Spanish hotel. All in all you get what you pay for its cheap, friendly and clean.

I would not recommend this hotel to those with a young family. The hotel will charge you £180 to upgrade to a room with a balcony which is outrageous when those with young children require a balcony to dry towels etc.. 99% of the guests are Spanish and they don't mix with English guests. The beach is private, and you are charged €6 - €12 each time for a sun lounge. The walk to the beach from the hotel is very far although the beach is amazing / stunning. There is NO rep, and so you no nothing about what the area has to offer, and none of the staff offer up any information on what there is to do. The country is very very expensive, and to travel by taxi, you are looking at £20 - £25 per trip, each way. Some taxi drivers will deliberately drive the longer way, to gain more money, and they will not take five passengers within their taxi, which means larger families are stuck in the hotel, or have to have two taxis or take the bus when going out. The bus service however is great, and you can get to most places within 20 / 30 mins. I witnessed an issue where a couple with three small children missed their transfer and flight, and the hotel did nothing to support them. I had to get involved and demanded they at least fed their children who where hungry, crying and distressed. At one point my friend offered to pay for their meals, but the manager changed his mind and allowed them to eat for free, after we reminded him that most of the food would be thrown in the bin. They had to stay for another two nights which they had to pay for. The staff and mangement kept saying, "its your problem not ours". which is a very unhelpful & unprofessional service to offer guests when they are in a crisis, it was late evening, and all you they required was somone to reassure them everything is going to be okay. They only seem to bend over backwards for their fellow Spanish guests. The positives are that the rooms are cleaned daily, the breakfast is excellent, and the beach is stunning..If you book.... DONT SAY YOU WHERE NOT WARNED!!!

We had a cozy room with a nice view. The food was also good. There were no gluten-free breads or cakes, but when I asked the waiters, they showed me what I can eat. They also had some gluten-free breads or cookies in store, so I could get when I asked for. Probably the only thing bothering us was, that the hotel is far from the civilization. I mean we were far from the center of Marbella, even by bus. Plus the highway was also too close to the hotel, and there was no place to go to get a drink in the evening. At least there was a supermarket nearby, and a pharmacy we did not need, but you know, just in case. :)

We couldn't stay there, because of corona. But they cancelled our reservation for free, even though it actually wasn't. Super nice and we really do appreciate it! And we will definitely stay there once travelling is possible again!

This hotel is dated, but very clean. The furniture is extremely uncomfortable and in need of updating. The bedroom had two single beds pushed together as a king size bed. They didn't even have king size sheets, so you basically had a single bed touching the other single bed in the room. The pool has no umbrellas for shade. You need to buy tokens at 3 euros for each the washer and the dryer. We will not return here unless it gets a major overhaul.

The rooms are set out in a village setting surrounded by gorgeous well maintained trees and bushes..The staff are really friendly and helpful. The restaurant is relaxing and well maintained and lovely views over the sea. Also the food is plentiful and an excellent choice at all meal times. Our room was very comfortable and spacious with mini bar and large bathroom. Oddly though toilet rolls seem in short supply and i ended up having to retrieve some from the public toilets as we were left very low. This hotel is lovely and although a bit remote there's bars near and a short bus ride to Marbella.If you're wanting to have a drink after your evening meal there's only the hotel bar. Any others are a taxi ride or a fair walk. 7km to Marbella and 6km to Cabpino beach. Not for people wanting a lively nightlife .

An emergency dilemma the start of our holiday in Marbella. This hotel came to our rescue. Recommended by a staff member who lives not too far from the hotel . Our private rental failed us. We were greeted by Javier at the Marbella Playa with a smile. He went the extra me to accommodation.odate our family needs. My parents are elderly, 80yrs & 75yrs. My father is blind with little mobility.. I am his carer.. ..Room, breakfast, staff and cost.. 1st class. Value for money.. Do Not Hesitate to book here. Accommodation, food, facilities and location, all 1st class.. Thank you everyone...

Its not 4stars hotel. I can give only 1 star. It needs renovation!!!! The smell in the rooms- terrible. Maybe its because old beds. The balcony/terrace- need renovation, the water from fontane was going throw our terrace all the time- it was like small river under the table and chairs... The teritory is very beautiful- full of beautiful small houses and plants. After renovation it could be amazing place for holidays! The bar- old style, with plastic furniture. The scene and sound system- like 50 years before. Swimming pool- too much sunbeds in one place. Not cosy, crowded. Prices- too big. And prepare to wait long long time at the reception...

Been twice now and going back for a third time, find it so relating and the staff are lovely. The food was more varied than I have previously experienced in other all inc hotels. Got health and mobility problems so just need to relax so not bothered about wi-fi. Looking forward t my next visit in September
