What a lovely break we have just had 5 days at the Valeria Dar Atlas.
Food 5 star wonderful dining experience
Entertainment 5 star, the animation team work incredibly hard to ensure everyone is happy, and if you don't join in, that's your choice.
Rooms are basic but the maid's are incredible, top tip- tip your maid she will ensure your room is always perfect
If the owner of the hotel does read this, the animation team are the forefront of your hotel and without them, it wouldn't of been as fun, give them a break.

Absolutely stunning resort! The rooms are what they need to be with either a terrace or balcony depending on the floor you’re on and they are kept very clean by the cleaning staff. Staff around the resort are very friendly and chatty, especially Zak, lovely to talk to and always greets you with a big smile on his face.
Before arriving I read some of the reviews and grew worried about coming, especially as a first solo holiday, but from the second I arrived I have felt very welcome by every member of staff I’ve encountered.
Queue for the bar could be organised better but, this will happen no matter where you go but serving spirits at the pool bar might sort this out.
The kittens running around as you walk to and from the pool is so cute, watching them play in the sunshine and they’re just as friendly as the staff.
The only down side for me is I have a very bland pallet and found it difficult to find something to eat but made up for it with the fresh salad and gorgeous desserts that are laid out at both lunch and dinner.. careful though, there’s a coffee one that’ll trick you if you don’t like coffee.
I still have over a week left here so hoping things continue as they started.
Definitely recommend booking!
Update!
Had the rest of my stay and loved the place even more. Amazing staff and amazing service. Can’t wait to go back!

My wife and I holidayed here for ten days, it is reasonably comfortable rooms wise, although there are changes that could be made and updates added for a cheaper all inclusive resort it's not bad.
The staff are polite to an extent although holes do begin to show in places and some are simply rude and brusque to a fault.
The Quiet Pool: side bar staff are full of smiles and polite and some of the main bar staff are friendly; although they do show their dour side towards the shift changes, but with how busy that bar gets I'm not too surprised so didn't take offence, they are after all only human.
The stand out for my wife and I though was our first rota room cleaner, she was an absolute star and nothing was too much of an imposition for her to accommodate.
The food was extremely hit and miss, the pizza and pancakes made in the outside kitchenette area off the patio, were hot, tasty and made to order by hand.
The rest of the food however was a cycle of poorly cooked fish, potatoes, rice and various pastas and meats. Some nights it was starting out lovely but the deeper they carved the more a vet could have worked with.
The main kitchen staff overall were surly and unapologetically blunt, with requests or questions tossed aside, much like the health and hygiene rating some of them clearly needed a refresher on.
Having said that, the standard above was only seen in the main kitchen dining area, the smaller boutique places were far better quality and service, although you did pay for them, so I guess that goes hand in hand with the idiom of 'you get what you pay for.'
Other than that, the only other downside is the distance from town, it is rather remote and out of the way, and things like the InDrive app will not service your pick up for less than 200 or 300 dirham, which is worth keeping in mind; although the resort does supply a shuttle service for 40 dirham per head for a round trip, timed drop and pick up and booked a day in advance.
So all in all, if you're okay with a gamble on food and a bit of a schlep to town it's good for a cheap get away, as the grounds really are stunning and the quiet pool is exactly that, lovely and quiet, but if you're used to a higher end resort, maybe look for a bigger price tag as this is definitely the cheaper end of things.
I've included some shots if the grounds the quiet pool area and the inclusive drinks menu in the main bar.

Not the biggest selection, may find it difficult if you are picky.
Good selection of fruit, bread, desserts, crepes, eggs on toast, pizza...
The bad thing was the maggot infested stray cat that was in the restaurant scrounging for food rubbing up against people.
Cocktails, weak if using all inclusive.
Ok if paying.
And they did not have my favourite Blue Lagoon😭🍹.
Unfortunately our stay was interrupted by cockroaches 🪳 the size of an adults thumb! In the reception bathrooms and rooms.🤮
Evening entertainment is produced by people who really do not want to be there.
Daily activities were ok. Zumba, aqua aerobics, water polo, if anyone interested.
Sunbeds and umbrellas available but walkways around pool all cracked broken tiles.
Do not use the spa, a gift which was booked in advance, a hot stone massage.
Entered the Spa and was asked to wait.
They did not realise that I could speak french and all started arguing about who was going to do the massage, making me extremely uncomfortable 😣.
Not a very good massage as she worked on muscles in one leg and not on the other.
And not clean at all.
Feeling very abused I left.
Sister hotel with aquapark, left out the front entrance and walk 2 minutes down the road.
You do not get to have the food and drink in this hotel if you are all inclusive in the first hotel, only the use of the pools.
Change your money at the airport! And change it back before going through security or you will be left with lots of Dirham.
You can use Euros anywhere and everywhere.
Hotel never has any change.
If you go to the market on the shuttle bus, use a tour guide! You will get lost.
We had a private transfer and they were late to collect for our return flight.
The airport, leave yourself 2/3hrs to get in to Marrakech, only 2 gates and 17/19 planes landing all at the same time.

Ideal place for families. The evening Entertainment is vibrant, they get everyone of all ages involved. Food is good with a mix of western and traditional Moroccon. The Spa is the first thing to visit when you arrive. Relaxation is key at this hotel
