Came home 20 Sept after 10 wonderful days at Marti. I am surprised at some of the reviews I found it to be set in a beautiful position by the sea. There was plenty of choice in food if you are willing to try new things… why only want typical English food when you are in Turkey. Our room was clean and tidy with good air conditioning the cleaner was warm and friendly and the view from the balcony spectacular. The pool area, gardens and private beach were well maintained and ideal to relax and soak up the sun. Reception staff were helpful, bar staff efficient and friendly. To be fair the entertainment wasn’t to my taste but other holiday makers enjoyed it.
I would highly recommend

I spent a week in Marti la Perla in October. The nearby sea and beach are great. The hotel itself looks good, however the cleaning needs to be improved. The staff is ... not involved at all, especially the young man working in the pub in the garden - he was unpleasant and arrogant. Talking about the pub... the drinks that were served were totally tasteless.

Great location, lovely pool area . Rooms good size but not clean . Housekeeping disgraceful. Manager and guest services are not interested. Food was appalling. Drinks ok , coffee very good . Floors are scruffy right throughout the hotel . The bathroom is very dirty . Hotel management needs to be replaced with staff that are interested. Staff are rude .

If you are looking for a fun, entertaining hotel with good customer service a priority, then this is not the hotel to come to. If you are British then I would not recommend coming here at all as they make you feel like an inconvenience. When you order at the bar, someone just comes along and orders in a non english language and they will get served before you. This happened numerous times during the week.
Rooms - average but good enough. The fridge goes off when you leave the room, so its pointless having it really. They never clean the room and we had our towels replaced once during the week, I had to get my own from the cupboard one day.
Food - average, the selection is ok with plenty of salad, breads, cheeses but the mains are usually dry and overcooked. They do not cater for vegetarian or food intolerance and they are not interested in going out of their way to try and help either. The a la carte restaurant food is pretty good when you dine there but for some reason they wouldn't let our friend eat with us as she had to get some veg food from the main restaurant, ridiculous!
Entertainment- apparently it's not their 'vibe'. This is what we were told by the Guest relations when they asked us about our stay. The staff try hard in the day to get people involved and put on darts, beer pong or water polo and they do group dance by the pool. The night time is pretty poor though, they have an act on for half an hour and then just play some music on the system. There is a 5* hotel next door and most nights we were watching their acts from our balcony as it was really good!
Spa facilities - good. The sauna is free and hot, they also provide massage and Turkish baths. I had a bit of a sore from the scrub in the Turkish bath and they gave me a free massage to compensate, only after I persisted though.
Bar - there is only 1 bar that serves and most of the time they don't have enough staff to handle the demand. They run out of alcohol if you have too many cocktails. Cold water is non existent here.
Guest relations - haha! They had a lady walk round asking about your stay and if there was anything they could improve but that's as far as it goes. We asked for bananas in the restaurant as they were only available one day but we never seen the again. Same with water in the fridge in the rooms, we asked if we could have some available and they bought some up to us that night and then never seen any again.
Setting - really nice. The pool has plenty of sunbeds and it leads on to the beach just 20m away the also has loads of sunbeds. There are sofas scattered around to chill out on too. A lovely location but not the experience to suit. I would not come back or recommend to anyone else unfortunately.

What a shame !
I've been to Turkey six times and this hotel is definitely at the bottom in terms of rating.
Food . It's OK, not great.
The salad and cheeses, etc, visually look great. However, the main foods are normally overcooked or dry. I never once got offered a drink by any waiters in the dining area, nor did any of our friends (group of 8) which is so strange because every other hotel does.
Breakfast is the same stuff everyday however I do like the way the food is covered by metal rollers due to flies. That's nice to see.
Bar & drinks. Exspect standard watered down alcohol. I drank 13 cocktails one after the other and was soba as a judge, I'm not Superman or a heavy drinker either but that was more of an experiment to prove to myself the alcohol is either fake or watered down. It makes me think what the companies are putting the barrells/bottles in the absence of alcohol.
The pool bar. The waits are too long and some of the staff are very inexperienced. They have a guy with a moustache who's a great barman, he should train the other barman. There's a kid who looks around 16 who's out of his depth completely.
The beach. It's only a 20m walk from the hotel, this is the hotels best attribute along with its location.
The pool. It's very nice, water is lovely with plenty of sun lounges.
Entertainment. The daytime entertainment is great they've nailed that. However, the evening entertainment is virtually none existent. A 30-minute dance act at 21:30, that's it. Come on, we are adults looking to be entertained on holiday. The entertainment guy with the big hair is absolutely miserable somebody needs to give him a cuddle.
The staff. In general not great, I don't feel like they care enough or aren't trained. Some of them are lovely however the vast majority seem robotic and to young and have a it's just a job mentality. For some reason they don't seem to like the British, I noticed this at the bar area where the locals always seem to get served first. The management needs to sit down and have a weekly meeting with all heads of department to discuss this issue and the patterns from the reviews and they don't seem to be communicating and are blaming each other for their failings.
Rooms. Very basic but I'm hardly in there so I'm not really bothered, but our friends weren't very happy. The cleaners cleaned our rooms once which isn't great, I had to change the towels myself. The cleaner also left our room open the one day they did clean thankfully nothing was taken. I did report this to guest relations however you've guessed it nothing changed.
Guest relations. They come around the pool normally of an evening to ask for feedback but then action absolutely nothing. For example we asked for bananas for breakfast (they had them on day one) the lady said ok ill tell the catering staff. 7 days later still no bananas. Totally understand before you reply to this review (guest relations) that you can't cater for everyone however sometimes making a small effort means a lot. Just add bananas to your fruit list, it can't be that hard.
Reception. It's very strange, you have what looks like ikea tables put together with some laptops on them. It kind of takes that feel away from a semi grand entrance. When you check out, the area where you leave your bags is a joke, theres no room or anything just in the reception area. When your checking out, hotels normally have a room to store your suit cases.
Overall I would give this hotel a miss and look elsewhere.
The 5 star reviews posted on here are 100% fake, I'm absolutely not a hotel snub, but this hotel needs help.
