Our stay was in September 2023: The accommodation itself was great - modern, always clean rooms, lovely garden, amazing location (super close to the beach, shops). Our biggest disappointment was the hotel restaurant - low quality, often tasteless, ingrediences were visibly used from previous meals!!! 😬 After a few days we gave up, craving for something tasteful and authentic we went for our lunches/dinners to the local taverns where our taste buds were finally satisfied.
I hope there will be an improvement in the meal preparation! It is a big shame to treat your guests this way...

A very nice hotel.
The service at the reception is very good. The lady's will help u and always with a smile.
The rooms are just standard but clean and that is what is important for us.
The food in the restaurant is simple but good.
The drinks at the bar are simple drinks. No coca cola or Fanta
If u want a cocktail you have to pay even with the all inclusive
It was our second time at Kalia Beach.
Maybe till next year.

The best value in this hotel is Mr. Adonis, he is man of many talents - cleaning, deliver luggage, serve food, play and sing. Everything else is average. The food, It's hard to say that is delicious is just ok but monotonous. Room was clean and fine, A/C worked. The hotel is located close to the beach, but there are no attractions in the area. The hotel is rated as a 4 stars hotel but the conditions were the ones from a hotel with 1 or 2 stars from my country.
Ignoring the aspect of the room (the ugliest one seen in a hotel where I have been) there were a lot of things that were not present in this 4 stars room:
- the fridge was empty - there was not even a bottle of water (we arrived at 2 AM, time at which almost all markets were closed and 28 degrees outside..)
- there were no cups in the room
- no shampoo and shower cream (only 2 soaps)
- our bathroom had no possibility to be aired (the vent machine was not working + the bathroom window could not be opened)
- we needed to stay all the time with the curtains closed because otherwise the people that were walking on the alley could see in the room
- the room was cleaned almost daily but in one day we found a big bug in the room - almost 3-4 cm (the hotel employees have treated this case pretty superficially but they gave us some insecticide to kill it)
We had the "all inclusive" package. On the hotel restaurant, Zorbas tavern, there was Swedish buffet for breakfeast, lunch and dinner, with many types of dishes but the food was very bad and we ate mostly at other restaurants. The drinks were as bad as the food (juices, coffees, beers) only a vague flavour of the taste that should have.
If you are having more expectations from a 4 star hotel than just a roof above your head, I don't recommend this place.

We were at Kalia Beach last week and I was scared at first because of the reviews, but i was pleasantly surprised! Very pretty complex, everything was clean, housekeeping was every day around noon (they changed towels, throw away trash and sweep the floors!) Rooms were pretty! Air conditioning, television, hair fan and also pretty vanity! Breakfast was from 8am to 10am and there was various of food, yes it was kind of repetitive but it didn’t matter. Lunch was from 1pm to 2:30 pm and it was fine, I mean they changed the food but also it was almost the same every day .. the dinner was from 7pm to 9pm and same as the lunch.. changed a bit but also the same :D i was tired of it by the 4th day but there is many restaurants that serve good food! The location is very good! There are some beaches near the hotel (like 5 min walk) and also some attractions at the beach! 15 minutes walk from hotel is something like center, there are cafes, bars, restaurants and cute shops! 30 minutes walk from hotel is Crete Aquarium and also Dinosauria (dino park). At hotel there are like 7 cats! The black one is very sweet! The orange-black let you pet them but be careful! Black and white with spot on the nose is also very sweet! Back at the “houses” there is tricolora (black, white and orange) and she’s the sweetest! At restaurant there is a siamese cat with the biggest blue eyes that will pierce you trough your soul so you give her some food! :D she’s also sweet! There are some more cats around the center etc but they aren’t let you pet them! I guess that’s all :D overall I think it’s pretty good service for the price! Very nice!
