I stayed at Julian Club Hotel for a week, and while the atmosphere was great, my overall experience was ruined by several issues that I simply can't overlook.
First, let’s talk about the food—it was absolutely awful. To be blunt, the food was shocking, disgusting and overdated. They kept serving the same stale food for an entire week, and you could literally taste that it was out of date. I almost died because the food was that bad, they hotel staff had to perform CPR on me. It was so bad that I wouldn’t even feed it to my dog even if it was starving and we had no food left. For a hotel that claims to offer quality service, this was disgusting behaviour.
Then came the manager, who was an absolute scumbag and needs a back hand. They never informed us of the check-out time, and when we slightly overstayed by a few minutes—due to their lack of communication—they charged us £80 extra. Instead of handling the situation professionally, they chose to create an unnecessary argument, which completely ruined the experience. It was clear that they cared more about squeezing extra money out of guests than actually providing good customer service. Pathetic.
Honestly, I wouldn’t come back here again. The atmosphere might be nice, but when the food is disgusting and management is shady, it’s just not worth it. If you’re looking for a place where guests are actually valued, look elsewhere.

So this review is made on what we had based on what we paid!
Overall we had a good stay, the room was fine, apart from some initial teething problems which were resolved rapidly. The bed was comfy and the room was well serviced..
The food was good in both the restaurant and lunch time snack bar, with plenty of choices to suit all.
As this is really a children's orientated hotel, if you don't want to put up with them don't go!🤔 If can, or have children you should have a good time 😎

This place is lovely. My partner and I came for a last minute week away, and were impressed.
Transfer from hotel was about 1.5 hours. Check in was very easy and informative and told us all we needed to know. Someone came to help us to our room and showed us around, although the lift was broken so we had to go up five flights of stairs!! but was fixed the next day
The next day we got up 6:45 and so many sunbed reserved. We were lucky to get one in the sun, but one half of the pool didn’t get any. It was quite a mission to get sunbeds, but towards the end management took towels off of sunbeds which people put down and went back to bed, which was a lot easier
Food was great, no complaints. There was food that everyone can enjoy no matter what. Yes they do the same foods most days but you get what you pay for. Food was fresh, hot and tasty.
Rooms were perfect. Maids were amazing and very chatty. Bar staff were so polite and enjoyed everyone having fun and joined in
Although, a lot of husband and wife’s falling out, and your usual drunk people who take it one step too far. A few big arguments which were soon sorted by hotel security
would definitely come back again

The 1 and only good thing about this hotel is it's location. But then again I guess alot of hotels in marmaris have great location to bars and restaurants. I regret fully going all inclusive as my partner, her cousin who's 90% blind (which we'll get at soon) and I didn't eat at the hotel really. We had 1 day in the afternoon where we used the snack bar because the restaurant is diabolical. Pre made re heated food. Same thing every single day. It's horrendous. We arrived first night via private transfer using tarik (chico) and hotel reception checked us in gave us 1 room card and said the room number and away we went. Nobody helping with luggage since we'd stated 1 of our party was blind. We go to the room and you could barely swing a cat. 2 single beds separated by the telephone tabel and plug sockets and my partners cousin had to sleep on a fold up bed smaller than the single beds. The balcony was tiny. 2 chairs and 1 table squeezed in with barley room to sit at. Next morning I spoke to staff about moving rooms to a ground floor as we had a blind person with us. I was shown a top floor family size room with rooms off of rooms which I said no too but was told to speak to reception about. I did so and reception staff seemed ever so keen for us to have it even offering it at 60 dollars a night and we were there 10 nights. I refused and a counter offer was made 50 dollars since it's the only room left. I reiterated that we needed ground floor level and was simply ignored. No housekeeping for first 3 days and one day we had a morning excursion and I asked reception if they could point us where to get another bottle of water which was pretty much what we got in our fridge upon arrival i was told i had to buy either from the supermarket on site or outside the hotel. In the room we had 2 mugs 2 tea bags and 2 coffee sachets, no milk or even powdered milk but it was a room for 3? Clearly they squeezed in the extra fold up bed which my partners cousin repeatedly said how uncomfortable it was. It was very low and being the farthest from the bathroom a difficulty he did not need. The 2 pools we could find were OK one a kids pool the other for kids and adults. Very difficult to find a sun lounger as majority were taken by 6/7am as I found when I came down for a coffee which is just out of the machines you get in factory's and the likes. Entertainment staff are amazing I'll give them that. Unfortunately the shows were mainly kid based so we spent most of our time out. We'd recommend Jacobs bar for adults and kids entertainment they're brilliant. This hotel is the worst I've stayed in by a country mile. Don't stay here go out the way just a bit and find a nice hotel, one were they actually give a toss about you. Reception staff, awful, food awful, entertainment good if you have kids. Oh also I'm unsure of the capacity of the hotel but it's big, you have 1 set of toilets where the men's have 1 urinal and 1 toilet cubical. I believe the women's you have 3 cubicals. Where's everyone peeing? Ah yes most likely in the pool! I could rant on about this place for hours but I'll leave it as it is! Save your money and keep clear of this horrific hotel.
Jingo Bells
Rooms are very basic. This included broken wardrobes, dirty socks on a roof directly outside our balcony which we had the unfortunate pleasure of looking at everyday, a tv that didn’t work, air conditioning that sounded like it was ready to take off at any given moment, uncomfortable beds the list goes on and that was just our room alone, a couple we met said their room was covered in mould 🤦🏻 We also arrived at 6am in the morning and the staff gave us keys into 2 different rooms that people were sleeping in before we got the rubbish room we eventually did.
The staff are also constantly on top of you in an uncomfortable way trying to get you to buy stuff despite it apparently being all inclusive (it’s not) and not a smile among the majority of them either. The shop in the hotel was overcharging everyone and giving them the wrong change in lira constantly to a point that everyone we spoke to there was boycotting the place. Even the parlour I got my tattoo in although his work was good overcharged me about £40 and said it was for a design fee, a design I MADE 🙈
Food is very average. I’d avoid the breakfast as it’s bland and gave me constant heartburn. It’s pretty much the same food you’re eating every single day and there is parts of the day there is no food available at all which is no use when you have young kids and it’s advertised as 24/7 all inclusive. Dinner doesn’t start till 7pm which is late for young kids and the queue for it is out the door, reminds me of a homeless soup kitchen and the kids didn’t really like anything on the menu so they were constantly hungry and we had to get food outside the hotel.
The poolside was covered in fag doubts, tables were always sticky with drink which was attracting wasps constantly and I noticed people taking pool water to clean it themselves. The pool itself seemed ok which is literally the only reason I’ve given it 2 stars because the kids enjoyed that.
Same repetitive entertainment every single night which I can only describe as something out of Butlins in the 90’s. Last but not least the mosque next door to the hotel was blasting out hymns and prayers at 6am every morning and throughout the day so don’t expect a long lie.
If we go to Turkey again it won’t be here 🤣
