tl;dr: in comparison with the other hotels in Hurghada a 5 star rating BUT if one would compare it to other properties in the Hilton portfolio more a 4- star rating. Nevertheless unrestricted recommendation.
What was:
Outstanding:
really outstanding was that the management had the hotel so well under control that there was no begging for tips, even though cultural customs typically encourage giving one. Tips are given here to recognize outstanding service and are not implicitly expected at every opportunity. This makes guests feel comfortable and not constantly under pressure.
Good:
- The building itself is actually quite old but has been well maintained and offers an adequate location for the year 2025. Digital communication, such as in-room service via smartphone, also works very well.
-The common areas and parks were kept very clean; nothing was lying around, and no trash was to be found.
-The HH status has been recognized accordingly, provided that the corresponding capacities are available.
Room for improvement:
-The quality of the food and the taste could be significantly better. For example, there was no 100% juice available at breakfast; the staff had to press it themselves, which (100% juice variants) should be a standard offering. Additionally, the baked goods were not up to par in terms of taste—for instance, the croissants could have been better. Interestingly, the three on-site restaurants and the in-room service were all satisfactory in terms of quality and taste, but unfortunately, the main restaurant did not meet the same standard.
-The cleanliness of the rooms leaves much to be desired. A more thorough cleaning would be necessary, especially for longer stays, as dust and dirt can accumulate in the corners and edges over time.
-The cleanliness of the children's pool could be improved. The slides were covered with bird droppings.
-I know that most tourists come here through third-party providers ( and therefore it’s not needed ), but if the goal is to compete with the Conrads or similar, this point needs to be addressed. A dedicated Diamond/Member Desk or something similar at check-in would be a nice touch, as well as a small welcome drink.
Verdict:
Overall, I can recommend the Plaza. It offers an upper-midrange location at a very competitive price. As mentioned at the beginning, compared to other Hilton properties, it doesn’t stand out significantly, but those often cost more than twice or even three times as much. Finally, it’s worth mentioning that if you drink a lot of alcohol, the all-inclusive option is worthwhile; otherwise, I would recommend dining at the restaurants instead.

Lovely staff, very clean hotel with immaculate grounds. The young lady who cooked the eggs and omelette in the mornings was such a friendly, smiley, happy person and the best member of the restaurant staff.🩷 The people clearing the tables could do with some more training in clearing the tables a bit quicker, lots of tables unusable because they still had the previous diners plates etc on them. The inside bar could get very busy. The pool and beach bar ran out if beer & diet pepsi a few times. Convenient location next to a modern mall.

From the moment we arrived at Hilton Hurghada Plaza, we were greeted with warm smiles and exceptional hospitality. The reception team was incredibly welcoming and efficient, making the check-in process seamless. They took the time to explain all the hotel amenities and even offered personalized recommendations for activities and dining options. Their professionalism and friendliness set the tone for an amazing stay.
The staff at this hotel truly goes above and beyond to make you feel at home. Whether it was the housekeeping team ensuring our room was spotless every day or the restaurant staff remembering our favorite drinks, their attention to
Now, let’s talk about the food! The quality and variety of the meals were outstanding. The breakfast buffet had an incredible selection of fresh fruits, pastries, and made-to-order dishes. For lunch and dinner, the à la carte options were delicious, with a mix of international and local Egyptian cuisine. We particularly enjoyed the seafood dishes, which were fresh and expertly prepared. The chefs even accommodated our dietary preferences with a smile, which we truly appreciated.
If you’re looking for a luxurious yet relaxing getaway with top-notch service, delicious food, and a team that feels like family, Hilton Hurghada Plaza is the place to be.

Amazing hotel almost at the Hilton level that we are used to. Food is fine, except for no real coffee available for breakfast (but I guess that's just because we are used to Italian). A few very nice and helpful employees and a few that could use some customer service training. I guess they might be underpayed - but let's be honest, who in hospitality isn't? I'd say overall service is really not bad for Egypt. I just wanted to warn everybody that I wouldn't recommend you to go this Spring (2025). As workers at the construction site right next to the hotel is active day&night; I really cannot think of a good reason hotel of this standard would offer such rooms without an honest warning. I would never take it if I have known and maybe save my money. To those who know Hilton, believe me, "soundproofing" of room windows is not really helpful, but at least cheaply loud and unhealthy smelling air conditioning "covers it up". Really not what I expected from a "5 star" hotel. 😉

Great hotel, staff and food excellent.
Premium rooms very good.
Drinks unless you pay more are all local and a bit naff.
But overall a great hotel, a little further out than some others but better facilities than most.
