This was my 7th visit to the Gran Bali hotel in Benidorm, and each time I come back I am amazed at how good this hotel is.
The hotel has a great location only 5 minutes from the beach and there is a bus stop by the side of the hotel, with buses into Benidorm town every 20 minutes. There is also a supermarket and a few restaurants and shops just outside the hotel.
Inside the hotel I was lucky enough to get a room on the 42nd Floor, and the view was amazing.
The rooms are decent, with a good bed, TV, Free WiFi and a mini fridge.
I stayed on a half board option and the range of food was excellent, they have a show cooking area for dinner and breakfast. The restaurant has recently had an update and it is now more open and modern.
Overall I would happily recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a quiet, relaxing break in Benidorm, and I hope to return to the Gran Bali hotel again soon.

My stay at this hotel was overall very good, for which I was pleasantly surprised. I booked last minute and was not expecting a lot for what I paid. How wrong was I.. the beds are super comfy, rooms spotlessly clean as is the whole hotel. My stay was in block 2 on the 33rd floor in room 2 which I thought was high until I realised it goes up to floor 43...
I spoke to Elena the Guest Experience member of staff today and told her I was very happy. The food in the restaurant is very good, lots of choice and plenty of it. The restaurant staff are a bit surly but you can't have everything.
The only gripe I have is, if you are not all inclusive then the water you order in the restaurant comes in glass bottles which you cannot take out of the restaurant. All inclusive comes in plastic bottles which you can. When I asked for a plastic bottle I was told I could not have one as I was paying!!! It didn't make a lot of sense to me.
On the whole a great experience. 😁

Check in system very slow and staff slow. I would never travel there in a mid season. Reception staff ignores you went you wait. Always something more important than guest.
Rooms nice and clean. Housekeeping staff polite and sufficient.
Food good with plenty of choice.
Unfortunately coffee was absolutely horrible unless you pay 2.5 euro to get something decent. Drinks on all inclusive are very limited and served until 11pm only.after that you have to pay and it is a rip off. Restaurant staff rude when you ask for coke despite it is included in all inclusive package. Drinks machines serve water instead of flavoured drinks.
You have to carry your card everywhere but system of scanning it is confused. Sometimes you have to show it sometimes not.
Entertainment was good on one evening but disco was ruined by dj. His music was good to start with but then he started to play horrid music and all guests left except 2 girls by the bar.
We travelled as a group of friends but it is not definitely family hotel.
I wouldn't return.

One thing I really dislike about this hotel is how the previous management took so many shortcuts with such a beautiful property. It’s absolutely grand, but you can clearly see and sense where the drive for profit started to overshadow quality. There are unfinished walls, cheap plastic chairs, and budget-looking blue bedding that detract from its charm.
If the hotel were given the love and attention to detail it truly deserves, it could easily become one of the finest in Spain. I genuinely wish this for the hotel. While it is a great place to stay overall, the lack of attention to detail becomes apparent once you leave the lobby. The rooftop relies only on its views and even some rooms feel neglected. It’s shocking that a hotel of this caliber hasn’t invested in proper furniture or a full renovation. Instead, they focus on a few so-called "premium" rooms, which come at an extra cost but still feature cheap plastic balcony chairs and unfinished, chipped balcony concrete walls with no paint or care.
On a positive note, the hotel has great potential, and everything else about it is promising. I just wish the management would invest & love their hotel as much as their guests do.

Not Recommended – Dirty Room, Poor Service, and Safety Concerns
I stayed at Grand Hotel Bali In March and, unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing. From the moment I checked in, it was clear that the standards were not what I expected.
The bed sheets were dirty upon arrival, and the bathroom had an unpleasant odor. The overall condition of the hotel feels outdated and poorly maintained. When I asked for an iron and ironing board, I was asked to pay a €30 deposit, only to receive a stained iron. When I requested a clean one, I was told that all of them were in similar condition. This level of service is unacceptable for a hotel of this caliber.
Basic amenities such as slippers were also missing, which I had to purchase myself. Despite these setbacks, I tried to remain optimistic—until I was stuck in the elevator with 5 other guests for about 30 minutes. This was not only inconvenient but a serious safety concern. I sincerely hope the management takes elevator maintenance and guest safety more seriously going forward.
Overall, my stay was far below expectations. I do not plan to return and cannot recommend this hotel to others unless significant improvements are made.
