Our stay here during the Christmas holidays, including New Year's Eve, was nothing short of amazing. It's truly been our best vacation in a long time!
The weather in the south of Tenerife is simply spectacular, like summertime. We even went for a swim at the beach in December, which felt incredible! The hotel itself is stunning, with excellent facilities, delicious food, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
The staff is so friendly and you can tell that the hotel management pays close attention to the little details that make a stay truly special. Everything was perfect from the beginning till the end
We will definitely be coming back and can recommend this place 100%.

Mixed Experience: Great Food and Service, but Cockroach Issues and Poor Drink Quality
We spent 6 days with our family at the Bahia Principe Sunlight Tenerife. We stayed in a room on the first floor with a view of the pool. Although the rooms were a bit outdated, they met our needs and were quite comfortable. The hotel grounds are large and well-maintained – the environment was clean, there were plenty of loungers, the pools were warm, and the evening entertainment was interesting and well-organized.
The food was one of the strongest aspects of this hotel. The à la carte restaurants were excellent, and the variety and quality of the food were great. The staff in the restaurants was very helpful, and it was even possible to try various regional dishes. Every day, there was something new to taste, and the food truly met our expectations.
However, we must mention that the alcohol and cocktails were of very poor quality. The drinks were overly sweet, often mixed with syrups, and had an unpleasant taste. Even if you enjoy cocktails, these were just not good, and the alcohol was of low quality. This was certainly a disappointing part of the holiday, as we had expected better drinks during our stay.
The cleanliness of the hotel was good, and the staff paid attention to keeping the grounds tidy. Everything in the rooms and public areas was clean and orderly, and overall hygiene was not an issue. Unfortunately, we did have a serious problem with cockroaches. At first, we didn’t notice any, but later on, we started seeing large cockroaches around the pools and in our room. On the last days of our stay, we even found a cockroach in our toilet, and in some of the rooms and bathrooms, there were more. It seemed like they came from the garden side and were just dying in the rooms. We found cockroaches both in the room and in the bathroom, and they were usually close to death. This was very unpleasant and negatively impacted our overall experience. We reported the issue to the reception, and although the hotel was conducting an inspection at the time and we saw measures being taken to get rid of the cockroaches, this situation still spoiled our holiday.
In summary, the hotel has many advantages: a great environment, tasty food, good service, and animation. However, due to the hygiene issue with cockroaches and the poor quality of the cocktails, I would be cautious when considering this hotel. If the cleanliness were better ensured and the drinks were of higher quality, it could be an excellent choice. However, in this case, we would not choose to return.

3rd time at this hotel and every time we thoroughly enjoyed our holiday. The food and drink is always exceptional; the entertainment brilliant (especially the Queen tribute band). The rooms are cleaned to the highest standard and all staff are extremely friendly. I can thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for an all inclusive holiday. However, there seems little enthusiasm for policing the no smoking policy even where it affects people eating outside the restaurant, so be warned!

We stayed at this resort for 10 days, the resort is self is lovely; with spacious areas,plants, big pools and drink and food areas close by. The service was great, we spoke with reception often regarding travel and they were super helpful. The cleaning staff were in once a day and did a superb job. The entertainment was inclusive and stopped around 11:00 Pm in the main area which meant we could sleep.
The draw backs, there weren’t many but I thought I would mention for future visitors.
- if you are/travelling with a person with a nut allergy the most of food they put out at the buffets will have the nut symbol above it even if it just risks having nuts in it (MAY CONTAIN) or some of it may genuinely have nuts in it but you are unable to tell. Best to ask the chefs themselves to be cautious.
- not through any fault of the staff we did have some creepy crawlies join us in our room on a few occasions. Not sure if they would be able to do anything about this but be aware if you’re afraid of them.
- this hotel is a little far out and there are some buses but they are limited to destinations and the public bus is often very cramped by the time it arrives to the stop closest to the hotel. That suited us fine but it did mean several taxi trips.

Lovely hotel with large, clean rooms. The food in the main restaurant is good and varied. You have to book the "special restaurants" as soon as you can via the app in order to guarantee a slot. The pool areas are nice and we've not had an issue finding a lounger. Staff are friendly and overall it's a great place to stay with kids
