Absolutely fantastic 😁 couldn't ask for a better experience honestly! It was one of the loveliest weeks me and my girlfriend have had! The staff are super welcoming, rooms are cleaned regularly and the location is awesome! It's quiet as it's in the old town! Which is perfect as there's lots to see and it's not too far away from any shops! They only have two rules. Don't be noisy and don't break anything. Easy enough! 😁 we'll most definitely be returning

Overall this stay was okay. The WiFi is spotty and barely worked. Not sure why there’s a password system for each person for WiFi that’s spotty. The owners were nice but it was very clear that they were more interested in catering those at the bar. I messaged to inquire about toiletries, not included was never responded to. Needed toilet paper, was told they’d send someone (our cleaning lady was the sweetest) but never came. The location would make you think it was secluded and or quiet but the bar and as another customer reviewed, goes late with the owners sitting there most times.

Actually the worst hotel we have ever been. The first night was without sleep because there was a noisy party all night long in the inner yard with a bar. It is acceptable to the owners, who are constantly sitting in the bar themselves. They told us that there are no resting hours but it's not true. The owners are unfriendly, interested in getting and dragging additional money (air conditioning costs 9€/day, Wi-Fi is also paid) and they don't care in clients needs and their well-being. They even didn't allow us to use luggage storage which is included in the website description of this hotel. The only good thing is the location - cosy and lovely old town of Malia.

Staff were horrible. So rude and condescending. Constantly speaking down on us and making us feel small and stupid. Had to pay a total of €105 to cover the cost of a “dirty towel” and “a dirty sheet”. Disgraceful. After reading other reviews it’s very clear that the majority of other stayers are treated the same way and have been scammed out of money. Last time I checked it doesn’t cost €100 euro to buy a towel and a bed sheet. Especially not the kind they use at this place anyway as they are rubbish quality. Will be telling everyone I know not to step foot in this absolute hole. Rooms were so small and bed so uncomfy. Cleaners don’t do their job properly. Beds weren’t changed once during the week stay and were only given 1 roll of toilet roll for the whole week between 3 people. Had to go and buy our own toilet roll from a shop. Felt uncomfortable as a member of bar staff made comments towards me like “hello beautiful baby”. Absolute creep and owners sitting beside him just let him speak like that. I wouldn’t stay here again if I was offered €10000. Gross.

When arrived had to pay 70euros per person for the air conditioning safe and also and extra 10euros per device for wi-fi even though when we booked this holiday we where told all of this was included! We where also told it was a deposit meaning we get it back at the end our stay but we didn’t! The room was very basic pillows were like rocks! We’re only given a thin see through sheets! The pools are more like paddling pools are very small! It is also a very noise place where they play loud music until the early hours of the morning! The food wasn’t very good tasted like a cheap ready meal and also the drinks were over priced and drinks are cheaper in the town bars and much nicer in town too! The room was clean but not anything special and also we where told we would get get fresh bedding half way through are stay which didn’t happen! It was a family run business

Terrible hotel! Booked in 3 weeks, the reservation was confirmed, and when we arrived, the unhostable owner said that 2 our rooms were handed over to other people. We tried to force us to cancel the reservation on our own, so we would lose 50% of the cost. The owners of the hotel are inhospitable, aggressive and did not want to resolve the situation in any way. "This is not our problem"

We booked a hotel on Booking for full payment, arrived, they told us that there were no rooms available and forced us to cancel the reservation at our expense, Booking support helped resolve the issue, but the hotel owner just laughed at us and suggested another hotel two kilometers from the city, we had to urgently look for another hotel. and by the way, this hotel in real life is much worse than in the photo, old with a small pool on an abandoned street, I don’t recommend it

Lovely Place! We were here as a couple on a 7-night holiday. The apartments are spacious and clean. Fresh towels and sheets twice a week. The staff is really nice and waited for us even though we arrived well past midnight due to a flight delay. The pool is mixed salt and fresh water. Not big but there is a deep end and it is clean. We were surprised how quiet it is here at night given that Malia is quite the party place. Thank you Maliatim staff for a really nice vacation.

Michalis and Kris were wonderful hosts. The breakfast was a great start to the day. The location of the hotel is off the strip in a quite neighborhood, though just a few minutes from shopping, numerous bars and dining establishments. I would also recommend trying out the hotels dinner options as they are all prepared fresh, and by a local cook. Well done

The hotel is 4 stars, but it will barely reach 3. When you enter the hotel, prepare money because they will ask you for a deposit for towels and when you leave, they will not return it, they will say that it was a tax. The room is just white walls and a bed without any interior, like in a cheap motel. The air conditioner blows directly on the bed, so you will be blown with cold air every night, or sleep in the heat 👍. There are not enough sockets in the room, so you can only charge 1 device at night. The door - the window faces the road, and all passers-by will see you making love, there are metal blinds like in kiosks and stores and after they close you are like in a cave. When I asked to change the room, they said there are no free places. Regarding the pool, it is very dirty with half-dissolved tiles along the edges. There are no additional swimming equipment, there are few sun loungers, sometimes there are not enough. in the canteen the food is monotonous with an incomprehensible system, coffee only in the morning and even then it happened in the mornings that there was not enough of it, you had to wait until they changed the vat with coffee, sweets only at lunch and dinner, so you will not be able to drink coffee or tea with sweets. in the lounge there is billiards but it is paid, there is air hockey but it is broken, you will only be able to play ping pong near the fence and if the ball flies out of the fence onto the road and you will have to constantly run after it going around the whole hotel. when checking out, in order to weigh 1 suitcase you need to pay 1 euro. about the Internet, there is free in the lounge but with such speed you will not even be able to check your mail, you will have to buy it for 20 € per week. and it is not much better, I was not able to watch a movie. of the advantages I can note that the room was cleaned every day and not bad, the staff was always friendly and smiling.

A fabulous place to stay. Excellent facilities, food and service was impeccable. I had a beautiful birthday and we also celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary. Nothing was too much trouble. The staff were amazing.

Beautiful vacation for our family (2 adults and a 6-year-old girl). Lovely rooms (suite), stunning pool, super friendly staff, very clean, and the owner ensures discipline is maintained in the establishment. The food is buffet-style, and there’s always something to find (we’re not picky when on vacation). Of course, this remains a destination for young people, and the music from nearby nightclubs (3-4 km away) plays until 6 AM, but with the windows closed, we didn’t hear anything. The beach is a 10-minute walk away (make sure to turn right, then directly left at the T-junction below the street, and don’t go left), though access isn’t so straightforward because there’s no sidewalk and the cars drive pretty fast. Thanks to everyone for this beautiful vacation.

Stayed here for a week the service was amazing they left us food in our room when we got in late our first night. All the bartenders were so lovely and very chatty, the waiters in the restaurant were very efficient, the chefs cooked amazing food every night. They had a good selection of food for every course and themed buffet nights a couple of times throughout the week. There was live music last night which was incredible, the staff got everybody up dancing and having so much fun. The pool there is very clean and very refreshing. The location is perfect as it is half way to the beach and strip yet still close to the old town too. The rooms were perfect and the cleaners did an excellent job. Alex at reception was exceptional and so accommodating, we spoke to the manager at one point and he allowed us to keep using the all inclusive facilities throughout our last day as we had a late flight. There were a couple of rowdy English boys being stupid and acting like eejit an and being too drunk but the staff handled them perfectly and didn’t allow them to ruin any bodies holiday. All in all and absolutely impeccable hotel, could not recommend them enough.

Very caring, friendly and nice staff, we especially loved the receptionist Alex. The hotel was clean and taken care of, our room was spaciuos and tidy, everyday a friendly cleaning lady would come over. The food was super tasty and there were quite a lot of to choose from, from main dishes to snacks and desserts everything was excelent. The bar and its service was very good, cocktails were mixed nicely and there were a lot of different options. All in all staying at this hotel was a superb experience and I hope we will come back at some point!

Great Stay, I recently stayed at this hotel for six days and had an excellent experience. The staff was incredibly welcoming and always willing to help, ensuring I had everything I needed. The room was clean, spacious, and had a stunning view of the surroundings. I particularly enjoyed the amenities, such as the pool and on-site dining options, which added to the relaxing atmosphere. Everything was perfect, a lot of food, always fresh and well prepared. The staff was kind and helpful. The locality was good, the town of Malia is approximately 25 mins walking. Nice and clean rooms. The director is looking after the whole hotel and asks the guests whether they’re happy, it seems like he cares about the hotel. He has given us a bottle of wine as gift. I definitely recommend this place!!

I stayed in the Malia Bay Beach Hotel with my friend for a week. We got a great room with a view on the pool. The rooms aren’t big, however they are in a great condition. AC works which is so useful due to the heat outside. The food in the hotel was great. They have different food theme almost every day and i must say the food was indeed delicious. The staff is really nice and helpful. I had an overall great experience. I have to add though that the wifi connection is not strong and you don’t have everywhere in the hotel.

We were very satisfied with our stay. It was amazing for 4*, rooms were nice and cleaned every day, drinks strong and food delicious, we could not decide what to try out first. Don’t select this hotel! 1) We paid for a superior room as there were three adults, but they gave us a double room with a fold-out bed because "the rooms with a normal third bed were occupied". We eventually managed to change rooms mid-stay. But both rooms had no ventilation, the toilets barely flushed, there was a sewer smell, the shampoo and shower gel were diluted with water, the front door kept sticking. Almost every day we called someone to open or close the doors because they were completely non-functional. There is no way to lock the door with a card - only keys. Also, the towels were not changed at all and the room was dirty even after cleaning. 2) If you do not want to get food poisoning, you should not eat 80% of the food. The same goes for drinks. The dishes were not washed well and you can see food residue from the previous person, especially at the bar. 3) The beach is rocky and unsafe. During the entire stay there was stormy weather and no one was swimming in the hotel area. To enjoy the sea you should go to Potamos beach, which is not very close to the hotel.

Hotel spotless. Staff lovely. Lack of storage in rooms only small wardrobe and 3 draws, for 2 people staying 10 days. No bright light for applying make up. Food, repetitive and not hot. Coffee served at breakfast luke warm. Asked for machine coffee, but even that was just warm. Restaurant open till 9.30pm but staff started clearing unused tables at 8.50pm. Throwing table clothes in a pile over their shoulders. I appreciate they have a job to do, but not whilst people are still eating and it's a while till end of service. Sun beds available, but if you want one I the sun, you have to be up early. Unfortunately, we won't be returning.

Very aesthetically beautiful hotel. Around a lot of shops and right next to the sea. The rooms were absolutely gorgeous. We had a view of the hills and it was amazing. The buffet restaurant wasn’t the best the food is great if you aren’t picky, there should definitely be a small bit for picky eaters or even children. The male manager of the restaurant was disgusting toward the staff always making sure to embarrass them infront of everybody. Every other restaurant staff was so kind. Some staff around the hotel are quite ignorant and not very helpful. The entertainment is great and there is a variety of things to do. The hotel isn’t for children though so if you’re looking for a nice quiet break this is the place. Overall an amazing stay just a small few downsides!

Nice hotel in a central location in Stalis. Food very good tasty and varied. It is very modern in design with lots of glass. The rooms are comfortable but lack storage. We were in a room on the 3rd floor which had a bathroom. The walls of the bathroom are coloured glass not really possible to see through it. It has a super shower. The bathroom is very small This is why I have only given the room 4stars. Small bathroom and no storage. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms were spotlessly clean

My husband and I hoped for a sunny and comfortable vacation at a pleasant get-away, and that is exactly what we got. Room: The room was lovely, meticulously cleaned every day, and offered a lovely view of the cretan mountains above the city. Service: The staff is amazing. The service, their effort to make our stay comfortable, and their kindness certainly played a huge part in making this vacation perfect. The regular entertainment the hotel provided filled the evenings with pleasant music. We always felt that everyone went the extra mile for their guests. Location: The location by the beach and the closeness to the main streets of Malia let us enjoy both the ocean and the city. Despite the busy beachfront, the hotel and surrounding areas never felt crowded, and there was opportunities both to socialize and enjoy solitude. Summary: We strongly recommend High Beach White and High Beach Resort for anyone wanting to enjoy Crete with great hospitality and comfort. Whether you travel solo, with family, or as a couple, this hotel strives to make every guests stay a good one.

High Beach White for adults only is absolutely amazing place. Malia as a city is not really nice. However, the hotel on its own takes you away from the busy streets. Therefore, you do not care what is behind the hotel if you do not go there. The room was beautiful, always clean, with stunning view of the sea. The private pool was amazing as nobody else than those who lived in the High Beach White villas could use it. At the beach we had deckchairs and parasol reserved for the whole vacation, therefore, we never worried if we could lay down by the sea. Marianna and Giorgos at the Sunset bar made our evening always so much more enjoyable. Mario at the beach and pool was just our guy! The absolute best as he always made sure we had a drink in our hand. Emanuel at the Elia Restaurant also always took a great care of us. All the stuff and managers are friendly and helpful whenever you need something. We will definitely come back here! Thank you guys!

Malia as such is not a nice place to stay.. One place right next to the other, cheap restaurants and bars and probably heaven if you are looking for lots if people and party. We didn't do good research here obviously but the pictures of the hotel and its description where also misleading: the place is new maybe but it is tiny and surrounded by lots of other facilities like a pleasure beach bar and the sister properties of the same owner. That means you do breakfast with the bigger place and it's awful. Fake juice, no one wore a mask or cared about distance.. Also the food in the evening was very very low quality wise. Sorry it def not worth the money and it's cheating the customer. We left after 1 night. What was amazing was the hospitality sense if the staff we met. The lady from front office was understanding and helpful in all means and tried a lot to make us happy. Also the restaurant chef was super nice and a real host. These two in any other place would be a delight.

This is a beautiful place with lots of greenery, direct access to the beach, nice food options. Some beautiful seaviews. Rooms are kept very clean. The staff at the restaurants, SPA, reception desk and cleaning service is well trained, polite and kind. Food options are varied and food quality is good. All Inclusive was good value for money and included some drinks. 2 bottles of still water are made available in the rooms daily and free drinks are also available at the reception throughout the day. Quite a number of stairs but with some accessible rooms and restaurants. Would definitely come back!

The things we were offered for an all-inclusive stay doesn‘t justify the money we had to pay at all. So this hotel definitely doesn‘t deserve 5 stars. First of all, it‘s ridiculous that not all drinks are included in the all-inclusive package, like not even an iced cappuccino or orange juice. The food at the main restaurant is very blant and repetitive despite the theme nights. The service is also always very unmotivated. We had to wait 30 mins for two ice teas during dinner. Our room (which doesn’t represent a 5-star hotel-room anyway in our opinion) faces the main pool, giving us almost no privacy + there are so many ants in our bathroom. We do not recommend any spa treatments, considering we paid 300€ (!) for two people and now both have severe neck pain since our treatments. The treatments were also shorter than promised. The facility, however, is beautiful and well maintained. The private beach section also has very clear and clean water - however, it sucks having to walk up to the Dedalos Bar every time to get drinks, considering it is supposed to be a 5 Star service. All in all, we‘ve been to way better hotels for less money.

Generally good experience with everything. The location is stunning, the pools and seating as well as the restaurants are located beautifully along the coastline with views to the sea. The "village" of bungalows and buildings looks very nice. Greenery is mainted well and is in general beautiful. What really makes this a recommendable experience is the location/view and the impeccable and immaculate sand beach.

We had a wonderful time at the hotel. Everything is beautiful here. The entire staff is friendly, everyone, really everyone 😅, and everyone speaks at least English, which is very positive. The entire staff is super helpful as well. Maybe those who like modern buildings won't like it, but those who prefer rooms and bungalows in small, secluded, and quieter separate buildings will love it. The hotel is spread over a large area, so it's big, but the buildings are well-placed, so it's not just one huge building. It’s a truly wild and beautiful place for chilling. We booked all-inclusive, and it far exceeded our expectations. All meals were delicious in the main restaurant. But what is fantastic are the little extra gems like the place called Sunset (where you can eat once as an all-inclusive guest at no extra charge). Everything there was extremely beautiful and extremely delicious. The Italian restaurant also exceeded my expectations. Every night there is an adorable show in the main bar, and there is always something to do in this hotel.The spa is very fun; they let you bargain as part of the daily deal, which is an experience in itself. However, the service there is also five-star.There is even tennis available. The tennis coach is a really cool guy. We enjoyed every lesson with him. If you need something like sunscreen or an ice-cold Monster energy drink 😅, there is a shop inside the hotel which offers everything at very fair prices, almost without exception. I heartily congratulate the hotel management for the wonderful way they run the facility. The transfer to and from the airport was super convenient, very punctual, and fast – probably my best experience so far. All in all, 10/10. I can only recommend it, especially for the value for money. This hotel is a hidden treasure. One tip: we received olive oil and honey as a gift. I tried to sneak it through airport security, but unfortunately, I failed. It would be worthwhile to give these gifts in 100-millilitre packs so I can get them home. But it was a really nice gesture. ### One thing I did not like: there was a photography brigade which was extremely out of sync with the hotel.when I took a picture, a screaming neurotic woman started yanking and shouting like a mad person. Obviously, there is no sign that you have to pay for the prints... Anyway, this could be done in a civilized way, but if it wasn't organized by the hotel, I suggest that remove them very soon because it was such a bad experience. I was annoyed for hours.

Shame about the gym :( The gym opens later than most gyms so you can't go before work. They also stop classes during the summer. I want to exercise every week, not just in the winter! Open early, add classes with instructor.

Excellent view from the hotel especially for breakfast. Staff are super friendly and helpful, we had breakfast included and the selection was excellent. Everything was super clean and the staff couldn’t be more helpful with our requests. Would definitely recommend and come again!

Discovery Dock East

Always good but now even better. This was our fourth time back at the resort and we were glad to see that it's survived the pandemic with many of the existing staff, but they're making improvements! We had villa 408 which now has 40Mb wifi and very comfortable memory foam memory toppers. Of course, the food is still excellent - it's really nicely done authentic Greek food with superb service. If they don't have what you want, just ask and it will be there the next night. Very vegetarian friendly but you need to ask for the veggie moussaka which is excellent (I hope it's made it to the menu now). Breakfast is a great buffet with everything that you need - loads of variety. Grounds are still lovely. Receptionists are even better and more knowledgeable than ever!

An absolutely stunning view of the mountains a great place to relax. The pool is large so it’s never crowded, plus there is a shallow pool for the little ones it’s amazing. The bar service is great they speak English really well and have a good variety of drinks and serve foods such as toasties, crisps and chips. It is an amazing place for a wedding reception with tables ready to be built up for weddings. The inside is so pristine and elegant i would definitely recommend to people staying in Crete.

The Royal Heights Resort impresses with its spectacular view over Malia. The room seemed in good condition, though it was obvious that renovations are needed sooner than later. Staff was always attentive and very friendly, they were trying their best everyday.

We stayed at the Kyknos hotel for a week with 2 other families. We enjoyed our stay and would go back. Pros: 1) Staff: Majority of the staff are amazing and they all work really hard. We were impressed with their dedication. Stella in the dining hall always had a smile on her face and the staff at the pool bar was very friendly. Rooms were cleaned daily. 2) Kids Club: BIG hit for my kids and we enjoyed some quiet time at the pool while they were entertained with fun activities by very friendly staff. Especially given the heat in Creta having this Kids Club for the little one is like an oasis – what a great idea! 3) Rooms: updated, including bathrooms, and comfortable. 4) Entertainment nights: we had a good time at each of these. 5) A la carte night: we enjoyed the food and the presentation. 6) Surroundings: the resort is well kept and the plants (flowers, trees, ornamental grasses) are well kept. Cons: 1) Water in the main pool was cloudy – needs a little balance of the chemicals. 2) Some rooms are small. We were 4 and kids had a sofa bed to share which was uncomfortable. However, we ask for another room and they were each given a small bed, much more comfortable. 3) Spa area needs a remodel and needs to be cleaner. The massage was ok, the space was dirty. Other: Food: plenty and everybody can find something to eat. Beach: small beach 5 minutes away; larger, gorgeous beach 10 min walk. Malia: 20 min walk to downtown --- worth doing this one evening. Overall, good memories and would go back!

Today is my last day here, and as I lie by the pool enjoying the beautiful sun, I have mixed feelings about my stay. The infrastructure is nice, and the rooms are decent. The surroundings, with lovely plants, palms, and fruit trees, create a pleasant atmosphere. The staff were also very helpful and friendly. However, the biggest disappointment was the food and drinks. Overall, while the place looks lovely, I would not recommend visiting until they seriously improve the kitchen and café. I checked the reviews and was quite shocked by the positive comments about the food. I spoke with a nearby café owner, and she mentioned that everyone from Kyknos says the same thing: lovely place, horrible food. Another issue was the smell from the toilets, likely due to poor plumbing. This odor was sometimes noticeable outdoors, from the small pool area to the end of the smaller group of buildings. It might be a temporary issue, but it persisted throughout our entire stay.

Very nice accommodation in a modern bungalow surrounded by a well-kept garden. Regular daily cleaning and change of towels. Helpful and friendly staff (the maitre d'hotel does a really professional job). Perfect food, rich breakfasts, a large selection of various dishes at lunch and dinner (Greek and international cuisine). The bars at the reception and by the pool offer a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, cocktails, and an afternoon snack. A visit to the a la carte restaurant was also a great experience for us. There is a children's pool and a pool for swimmers, sunbeds and umbrellas available by the pools and in the gardens. Clean everywhere, I really appreciate the use of returnable drinking cups.

The hotel is very nice, the staff seems friendly. Coffee is the worst i've seen in the last 15 years in any hotel, whatever number of stars or part of the world. It's Jacobs instant coffee here although the staff says otherwise. It pulls an "espresso" shot in 2 seconds😅 just dumps it into your cup as soon as you press the button. It's an abomination taste wise. I'm not too picky about coffee. A Lavazza would be fine. It's such a shame that a hotel like this decided not to bother with coffee. How??? Food is made just good enough so you don't die from hunger. The water comes only from the tap, the juices are severely artificial, knock-off fanta and cola are available for your refreshment. Most of the recliners around the pool don't have umbrellas for a shade. There are only 8 umbrellas for like about 30 recliners. No beach towels are provided. As for me, it's not worth paying for your meals at the hotel. Go out, enjoy good food, it's Crete. And enjoy the hotel without food, it's nice apart from what I said about food and drinks.

We had a wonderful 15 days in Kyknos Beach Hotel & Bungalows Everything was really nice - clean, food, close to beach, service, very polite and smiling stuff . We arrived after 10 pm to hotel but stuff cared about our dinner, we were impressed. If you have children they should definitely to visit kids club . I would like to admit and say 'thank you ' for Kostas and Nikoleta who made much fun for children. My daughter spent there all free time and backed very happy. Guys played together in board games, did face grim, sport activities. I had enough free time. Kids club is a very nice option with so friendly, active animators like Kostas and Nikoleta! I recommend this hotel for summer time

Awful hotel . Bathroom had mold and no shower curtain so the bathroom was always soaking wet . AC didnt work at all yet was still told we had to pay despite reporting it as not working twice. Staff very rude especially the person who i think was the manager and a lot of the rules regarding drinks and food just seem made up on the spot. However the overall hotel is nice the pools are big and the water slides were fun and its in a good location. would not go again though.

I take no joy in writing negative reviews about businesses. However, when I am swindled out of hundreds of dollars, I believe I must let other people be aware of my experience. We had a booking at this hotel August 6-8, 2024. I arrived and left the hotel within two hours. Upon arrival, the check-in process was chaotic. There was only one person working at the reception and it was a lot of traffic for one hotel. I witnessed the receptionist charge people for air conditioning, kettle usage etc. I have never experienced this before. We were brought to our room and it was very disappointing. It was dated (which is okay), and not that clean (see pictures of crusty TV remote, ants in room, spider webs on windows etc). The room was hot. The receptionist told me she would return in five minutes to turn on the Ac because they have to turn it on with a key! We waited an hour in the heat. There were other guests enjoying the pool and we could hear them despite closed windows and doors (AC was on at this point). We asked for a room upgrade. We offered to pay. There was no other rooms available. We are business owners so we tried to offer four different solutions to the receptionist but all were rejected. We were told we could not get refunded because the owner who had final say was on vacation, then we were told the accounting department was closed for the day. It was essentially terrible service due to poor management. If you are going to have a single person doing the work, you need to give them some discretion to make decisions. We had the all inclusive package but it was very restrictive in times to consume and items to consume. Too many rules for me. It is either all inclusive or it isnt. Cannot comment on the food as I had none. We were not allowed to check out as we left before the official check out date. This is unheard of to me. No receipts issued, no proof probably to cover themselves and not provide any sort of refund. They kept telling us it is our choice to leave and it was but why can I not have an invoice as proof? We have yet to hear from them in any way but it is fine. That is all you need to know. A business's worth is shown in how it treats clients when there is an issue. The pools looked nice and the location was good. But if a hotel offers bad service and mediocre policies, you should avoid them.

Great location ,nice modern rooms , lovely reception and cleaning staff, shame that restaurant staff and manager ruined all by being miserable not welcome you and rude, all waiters feel like they are working under the manager pressure . Food was ok but not the best sometimes was even cold , lack of entertainment but you are in Malia so you have to go out for it. Big minus for not having any all inclusive cocktails other than wine and beer ,raki(the board with cocktails advertised but not put any price so u think is in all inclusive option but they will charge you ), no soft juices only vender machine with sparkling drinks .

Not what you would expect a 4 star hotel to be like. First of all, the apartment felt like it was just refurbished as it had piles of construction dust in the corner. Walls were empty, old furniture, no bathroom shelves, no shower curtain, no power sockets by the bed. It also smelled like chlorine and bleach so we had to keep the windows open and there was no mosquito mesh. There was also no sound isolation whatsoever so if you’re a light sleeper, you’ll have trouble sleeping as some mornings hotel workers started construction work as early as 7am. There were also no “do not disturb” signs so if you didn’t want your room cleaned you had no choice. The good thing was that apartment was very spacious and had a private balcony with a nice view. Another thing worth mentioning was the dining area. The food wasn’t bad, but there were so many strange made-up rules that made us feel constantly tense. It felt more like an army than a holiday retreat. Also when half-board, you can’t get any drinks or even water with your dinner, only at breakfast. Not a huge loss tho, as all the drinks tasted like chlorine and the coffee was just terrible! However the worst thing was that you could feel and see how tense and stressed all the staff was. There was this one manager who was just walking around and watching everybody work, pointing to an empty dishes and bossing everyone around even though all the staff was working so hard and were so nice and friendly. We hated that our plates were taken away with the last bite, basically while we were still chewing our food but it felt like the staff was pressured to do so by the manager so we didn’t say anything. Overall it was okay for a price we paid as we got a cheap last-minute vacation and we didn’t spend much time in the hotel area anyway, but I would rather choose something different next time. Also, it’s a 4 star hotel, so keep in mind that you’ll have to pay additional 7€ tax per night that becomes a whole 49€ a week. Good things: beautiful surroundings, stunning plants, food variety, tasty ice-cream, friendly staff, good location, nice view, cute cats, quiet in the evening.

We booked 1 week vacation here in september 2022 with half board. This is a hotel apartment and the hotel room was very nice, spacious and cleaned daily by staff who provide plenty of towels and do a good job overall. We had a mini fridge in our room and the aircon worked very well. We had a private pool with our room but they also had 2 adult pools plus a kids pool with slides all were great. Hotel was quiet on a night, no noise and well lit. Foods here is okay, standardised buffet but we ate out mostly anyways. All the staff here were friendly and accommodating. It is just a 5 - 10 mins walk to the beach and it's about 15mins to the bus station if wanting to travel to Heraklion and Aghios Nikolaos. There are many supermarkets, restaurants, bars/clubs on the main street, which are open until the early hours of the morning. We had a great time here and would recommend this place to anyone wanting to visit malia and be close to the beach and not far from the nightlife.

Rating: 4,6 stars from 5 We stayed at the resort for a week, we lived in the sun village. The distance from the resort is about 300m, from the beach about 500m. The location led through a small road. Location: Sun Village, perfect for a couple, we were away from the noise of the hotel. It has its own small pool. However, you won't find any bar or food here, you have to go to the hotel for it. Staff: He spoke both English and German, which I found adequate. We had no problem with the staff, I have to highlight the staff at the beach bar, very friendly and prompt. Food: The food menu was varied, the only thing I give negative points to was the lunches/dinners. By the end of the stay, all the food was more salty than needed. The bars by the pool or the beach also had a large selection of alcohol, which was not bad. Beach: It was groomed and nice, the sea was also nice and without garbage. Other: You can play mini golf, rent a car or play beach sports at the hotel. Room in sun village: cleaned every day and very nice room. There is no minibar and the hotel only gives you 2 waters on arrival, then you still have to buy them yourself / or take them from the bar

Perfect personell, very nice food and the hotel environment. Need to mention also the animators crew, superb care all the time. Malia is a lovely city, and during the night you have all the entertainemnt you can imagine.

The hotel was good, the room was nice, had everything we needed (safe, hair dryer, nice view), food was very good, drinks - not so much, for all inclusive beer was ok, wine felt watered down and all the soft drinks felt like they were made of syrup. Keep in mind that you would need to buy water for the room, but there were stores outside and a nice supermarket within 20 min walk distance so we didn't mind. The town outside has clubs, restaurants and car rentals, but not much in terms of sightseeing. The beach was nice however there were a few stones in the water so swimming shoes came in handy. The staff was very nice and friendly. Overall we had a great time.
